The USA-49WG Keyspan High-Speed 4-Port USB-to-DB9-Serial Adapter Hub allows you to connect as many as four 9-pin serial devices to a computer or laptop with a USB Type-A port. An easy and inexpensive way to add serial ports to your computer without hassle, the USA-49WG works with any DB9 serial device. Great product but not Windows 8 compatible
I've been using this product for 2 years and it has worked great. I bought a new computer with Windows 8 and to my dismay found out there is no Windows 8 driver. Hopefully this will change soon. So if you want a great device for up to Windows 8, you've found it. But don't buy it for Windows 8.

Serial devices are peripherals too
I am using this device to connect a number of serial devices to my WIN-7 64-bit system. The interface works as advertised. Very easy to install and configure.

This product is a great addition for a ham station
I use this product to connect to various ham packet modems and for transceiver control. Operating system Win 7 Professional. Installation was seamless. Also use for programming commercial communications equipment, saved having to buy new programming cables which would have been big $$$$$. I have used the single port units for several years. Never a problem with Keyspan.

I had bought it many times & will buy it again & again
It's very useful, I use only one USB port of my laptop and get 4 Serial ports, and use them to connect me instrument to the software I use.
Also the Keyspan Serial Assistant software are very helpful, I totally manage all my Keyspan Adapter through it.
