Virtual Programs Foster Shared Learning Aimed at Empowering Women in Tech
As part of our ongoing commitment to increase the representation of women at all levels of our organization and throughout the technology sector, we hosted two virtual development opportunities this summer aimed at inspiring and empowering the industry’s female leaders of tomorrow.
In June, we hosted a candid panel discussion in which women leaders shared stories documenting key accomplishments and obstacles faced as they advanced within their tech careers.
In July, our Women Opportunities Network (WON) business resource group, which is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment that retains and advances female talent, sponsored the 2022 Women in Tech Leadership Forum. The virtual event explored how organizations can remain competitive in today’s challenging employment landscape by attracting, supporting and retaining women IT professionals.
The session, which helped raise funds for YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, featured a conversation between DoorDash’s Global Vice President of Culture and Belonging and Praxis Labs’ Chief Technology Officer about leading and influencing a positive environment for women and non-binary individuals. The program also included breakout sessions with leaders from HPI and Cisco focused on inclusion best practices to support women in technical roles.
