A utility company wanted internal DevOps, automation, and agile skillsets yet they needed help training their IT teams. Their aim was to empower their IT teams to drive innovation for greater business adaptability and speed to market.

Solution

The CDW Digital Velocity team created a five-day training program punctuated with a 201-level training or code fest to allow the trainees to apply their new skills to a business challenge.

The training was held across multiple time zones and attended by employees across the globe. It was successful with strong attendance. With the initial training project complete, the company is now interested in additional 201 training and an IAC Sprint project.

Outcome

With the increased skillsets from training, the company’s IT team is positioned to drive business outcomes.
