Good for the price
This is the fourth mechanical keyboard I've owned, so I've seen the good and bad in these keyboards. I also have owned quite a few Logitech keyboards before this one. This was a replacement to my Logitech K800 keyboard for work--I wore it out.
Longevity is one of the benefits of a good mechanical keyboard. I haven't had it long enough to tell, but it seems very good in the few weeks I've owned it.
It's a little sparse on features, as far as mechanical keyboards go, as most others are gaming keyboards with programmable macro keys, backlighting, etc. This keyboard does have dual-function F-keys, so if you press Fn then the function keys, you do get standard multimedia keys. Logitech seems to do this for most of their keyboards.
The design is gorgeous. Stainless steel with black keys, and everything appears to just hover above the metal surface instead of sitting in a keyboard box. It's great. Love it. If the keys had a backlight, it would be perfect. Maybe some sort of wrist wrest would be a nice addition.
As far as mechanical keyboards of any real quality, this is a bargain. I paid more than twice as much for (an admittedly very nice) gaming keyboard last year. That model had RGB backlighting, etc., but this is just as enjoyable to use. I prefer the more clicky keys of some gaming keyboards, but this is 100x better than the membrane keys on most keyboards.
If you haven't used a mechanical keyboard recently, it's a joy. Key presses are much more satisfying, with a certainty to each key press. Because there's a solid tactile feel to each key press, I find myself not pressing as hard, and able to type more quickly.
Recommended.

Tubular tactile typing
Purchased this to replace an older wireless logitech keyboard for work. As a software engineer, I type quite a bit and this keyboard is pretty good at registering keystrokes with haste. Hasty keystrokes are good.

LOVE IT!
I LOVE my new Logitech K840 Mechanical Keyboard! I bought it to connect to my new Dell laptop; because, I'm "old school" ... just can't get used to a keyboard on a laptop! The Logitech keyboard is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It's a "traditional"-type computer keyboard, very easy to type on! Thank you for offering this product for "old" people like me!

Love the Feel Typing on this Keyboard!
I HATE keyboards where the keys have a flat feel to them, so I've been getting Logitech keyboards for years. I didn't know until recently, that there was actually something called a "mechanical keyboard", so I got one for my newest computer .. and love the feel of typing on it!

Great keyboard if you don't mind metallic echo.
Really like the switches, very solid build. But the keyboard makes a twingy metal sound when I hammer on it that's so annoying that I'm considering returning.

Very nice keyboard for office work
Unlike some other mechanical keyboards, this one is actually quiet enough to use in an office environment without getting dirty looks from your co-workers. It's still much louder than the standard membrane-style keyboards that come with your desktop computers (but much quieter than the Cherry MX Blue keyboard I used previously.

Disappointing key switches
The body of the keyboard is nice and sturdy, but the Romer G switches leave a lot to be desired. Non-obvious activation point, scratchy travel, inconsistent spring stiffness, and a soft bottom-out. Not worth full price IMO

Good choice if on Sale
Great keyboard; good tactile feedback and robust construction and easy to dust off. A bit too loud (clicky. A great alternative to a flat, no action, Chiclet keyboard. Switches are good but not as good as Cherry's.

It is really much bigger than i thought
This was a mechanically and functionally decent product, nothing to remarkable about it either. I returned the one I purchased because this product is HUGE; personally i would prefer something more sleek, but i don't know if mechanical keyboards are inherently large?

It works
No defects and the keys feel very good. Just a nice, no-frills mechboard. A little expensive at it's base price but sometimes goes on sale.

Outstanding Keyboard, Quality, Quality, Quality
I'm an old timer, over 70, and can remember the days of the original heavy IBM "clicky" keyboard. This keyboard is the closest thing to that keyboard that I have ever seen, and cannot say enough good things about it.
