Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avery 5390 – Card Sizes & Page Margins Vary from Batch to Batch The vertical size of the cards and the page margins for the 5390 product seem to vary from batch to batch over the years causing havoc and waste when trying to create and print name badges using this product. Boxes of 5390 from a half dozen years ago that I just opened have vertical badge sizes of approximately 2.2" with top and bottom page borders of approximately 1.375". Boxes that I opened from a year ago have vertical page sizes of approximately 2.23" with top and bottom page borders of approximately 1.125". This inconsistency is totally unacceptable. If you want to change the product that much (and yes, those differences are very significant), you should give the new product a new inventory number. The assumption of your customer is that one box of this product is the same as the next. You refill a laser printer tray with stock from a different 5390 box/batch and the resultant output is absolute trash with content appearing over the perforations in many cases. This is especially true with designs that go up to about 0.1 inch of the badge's area. I just wasted an awful lot of time with this problem and the $$$$ I spent buying this material. Stay away from this product like the plague!!!!

Also the fact that they are inserts is awesome. I much prefer inserts rather than sticker badges because the stickers never stay on for an entire event. I would recommend these badges over any other. Perfect product.

We formerly used a print shop to do badges and the turn around time was 1-2 weeks. We can now create customized name badges with pictures (more secure) immediately.

I recently hosted the third installment of a professional business seminar for 300 returning clients and customers and used Avery Name Badge Insert Refills. With the help of Avery's website and templates, I was easily able to customize the conference name tags with my company logo and motto. My tags looked great and printed quickly and I found them easy to separate and insert into reused, recycled badge holders from a previous conference.

I am learning, but My husband says it not my thing, But I needed to do name badges for the garden club I belong to. So I went to the office supply store and got the Name badges incert refills package #5390. I read the instructions, went online and I did it. Even my husband was amazed. I enjoyed doing it and told all my friends about it. I am incharge of making all the badges now.

Printing them was fine, but when it came time to break them apart (2 days before my daughter's wedding - with no time to reprint), the perforations were practically non-existent. I had to actually use a scissors to cut some of them apart, and the ones that I did manage to separate, left a jagged edge that I attempted to smooth with my finger nail in some cases. Next time I'll buy the store brand. It can't be any worse!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute necessity for our office Because I administer elections in my city, I hire 250-300 election judges every other year. I have to make name tags for all of them along with their title. This makes smooth and quick work out of something that could be labor intensive. I purchased the lanyard holders and now just print out new name tags when needed.
