Best For The Money
I bought this product a couple days ago. Mounted it, plugged it in & turned it on. I'm really impressed with this product that replaced my Epson EXX3220. Unbelievable picture that this projector throws out onto the screen. The colors are bright, contrast is amazing!(Especially with the auto iris on high speed) Some might say in the reviews that the fan is somewhat loud on this projector. To me the fan sounded a lot quieter than my EX3220. The fan sounds smooth with a very quiet tone to it. The only thing that I wish the Epson did with this projector is added a optical audio out or a audio output to plug it in to my external speakers. But what I figured out for my case scenario is if you are using a PS4 with HDMI and have a separate stereo. Plug in the optical out into the PS4 connecting to your stereo. After that turn down the volume on the projector to 0 so the sound is not blasting out through the projector. Overall I'm very impressed with this product, especially the 2 year warranty that is included with the projector. If I ever had to buy another projector it would be most certainly from Epson, Business or home use. BTW! Clean you projector filter after 500 hours or maybe even every 1000, The projector will not notify you to clean the filter which is kinda annoying but it's really crucial to have that cleaned after a couple months of use because the dust will start to accumulate on the projector and will make your projector not function to the best of it's ability.

Perfect projector for home indoor, outdoor, anything
This is this the perfect projector for any viewing situation. It’s extremely bright, even in fully-lit rooms. It’s the perfect projector for indoor, outsider, anything. The settings are easy to adjust (although I just use auto for most). It doesn’t have audio-out - but that’s a simple fix with an HDMI audio extractor....or if you have a Roku device for it, you can enable private listening mode via your phone - and connect the phone to any Bluetooth speaker. Truly an amazing projector - highly recommend!

As of 07/22/19
As of right now i am Completely content and dare i say even happy with the Projector. I have at most, 4-6 complaints, 1-3 of which can easily or could have easily been fixed but that is besides the point. I shall list them here, then do a pro/con, then overall why you should purchase it.
Point 1: Why wouldn't a Bluetooth connection mode for audio be a feature available. For a projector that was Produced around i say Nov. of 2017 or so, (not fact checked just a guess) I would say that Bluetooth audio connection or even wireless audio connection to help with surround sound would be a beneficial feature. I use this projector for my bedroom with my Asus G751JT and the output quality is phenomenal. (this laptop can connect to a 4k tv and play Games on high settings despite its internal components) so this laptop uses the full visual aspect of this projector and may i say it is well deserved. However I use the audio Bluetooth from the Laptop to my surround sound because the lack of audio connection capabilities the projector supplies. If i want to switch to my playstation i have to manually connect the surround sound via bluetooth to the PS4 instead of having it on the projector itself.
Point 2: The split screen, (besides audio decisions, which we should be able to choose which output is which As say Left can be Surround sound (bluetooth) And right can be just projector speakers) But the screen positions and only three options, ( equal, Left zoomed, right zoomed) I mean basic split screen is just throwing it to completely fill the whole left or right. top or bottom. and your only going to limit us. Its a good feature and great idea as i am currently trying to properly use it as a way for split screen same room gaming with my wife. But the screen resolution on equal makes any font practically unreadable and anything you do has to be based on visuals alone. which is unfortunate for her since she has bad eyesight.
Pro:
- Easy to set up
- Quick-ish start,
- Energy saving mode (ECO)
- Quiet
- Clear and full 1080 support
- Easy to connect and use that my wife who knows nothing about tech can use it.
Con:
- Audio connections are limited
- Display is a hassle to get perfect and even then, still has black border around screen (should be able to disable it)
- For standing normally should have front and back, or indivual leveling screws on the legs.

I just got this today from Best Buy. Picture Quality fantastic. I used it for like half an hour at first for set ups and all. I tried playing different videos too. Looks great to me. After I stopped, I kind of smell some kind of rubber. I doubt the manufacturing body quality though. Or else rest all good.

Fantastic Picture Quality
I had been using a single DLP projector for over 15 years (InFocus) and when it came time to replace the lamp, I decided to upgrade and get a new projector. I did not want to get another single DLP projector due to the color shifts created by the spinning color wheel. After doing some research, I liked the 3LCD design of the Epson projectors and bought the 1060. The picture quality of this projector is fantastic. The images are bright with vivid colors and great contrast ratio. The throw distance is very good. Also, with the lamp in ECO mode, I am able to double the lamp life (as compared to my older projector). I am very happy with this projector. Excellent engineering Epson, well done.

The perfect projector for my small home.
I purchased the projector about a month ago. My living room is rather shallow, but with the projector mounted over my head and throwing to the opposite wall I have nearly a 10' wide screen. I did paint the screen wall a grey which has really brought out the picture quality. And just this last weekend, I took the projector outside for a small party using only a grey sheet as a screen with the same picture quality. The picture provided shows a dark room with grey screen wall, picture about 10' wide.

Great projector at a great price
Having spent hours researching projectors I decided to purchase this projector because it had the picture quality I wanted yet was offered at a very reasonable entry level price.
I found the setup to be simple and the setup guides easy to follow.
When I powered it on I was surprised at the amazing image quality and in a room that had all light on full.
This projector will be perfect for our home theatre use and it didn’t break the bank. For all those who may not need 4K image quality yet want a sharp image with vivid colours this projector delivers.

Epson repeatedly hasn't posted my honest-to-goodness review!
Epson Home Cinema 1060
Anything billed as “Home Cinema” gives the impression of just that, and the standards that define such descriptions are growing steadily higher each year. The first thing that caught my eye was “USB plug-and-play” which is simply not possible in a home theatre set-up unless, maybe, its 3.0 or USB-C. Firewire is the minimum protocol for smooth video playback, so I knew prior to purchase this model was being promoted as something it wasn’t.
Epson should have stated clearly that said USB function is for still images only. Wireless does not work as well, as even the lowest resolution movies encoded for internet streaming do not play back smoothly on a LAN connection. Its absolutely unacceptable to promote something as being capable of something it is definitely not. Regardless of how miraculous the technology might seem, wireless playback is close but not good enough, and USB is altogether useless for movies or motion graphics. Funnily, connecting the projector to an iPad was as simple as could be yet still the playback speed was severely hindered by latency issues. The iPad works as seamlessly controlling my audio equipment as controlling the projector and for still images works fine but will not improve video playback.
Instead I have to pay another $$$ for HDMI adapter and cable, which I have yet to try out.
Will playback be as choppy through an adapter? I called for a friendly chat with tech support to see if there were any settings I’d missed (I NEVER complain to tech).
“Unfortunately video playback is something Apple computers don’t do very well”, said the tech support person. Really!? If there were any truth to that statement Epson should clearly warn customers of the incompatibility.
The picture quality is very high and it even works in a well lit (daylight) room. Set-up was quick and took about one or two minutes after a brief glance at the manual. Tech support confirmed all that I’d inferred from the manual, e.g. that external speakers are connected to the source (simple enough) so for audio from a USB drive the device’s speaker is all one has.
While I inferred this at first glance it still seemed vaguely possible that the RCA port could channel sound to a stereo receiver or a mixer. This is not possible, so a portable set-up must include proper cables, a computer or video player, a mixer or amp etc.
Not being able to read a drive formatted to ExFat was a bit of a give-away regarding movie playback, as Fat and Fat32 are old formats which have a very low file size cap.
I am thrilled by the ample brightness, image quality, ease of use and cost (before HDMI adapter) of the device. The promotion of this device is highly mis-leading and the supplied documentation ought to be more explicit.

Probably one of the best home/office projector for its price with excellent customer service. I bought one on 2nd Jul 2018 and very pleased with picture quality. Although, the lamp died on 3rd Sept 2018 with less then 30 hours of use. Called customer service and was able to get a replacement since lamps are covered for 3 months after purchase. Bit of disappointment as lamp failed so early. I hope Epson improves it and also hoping the replacement does not die on me. Satisfied, except that but still this product deserves 5 start.

Audio OUT?>
This is a good projector. The picture is great, I cannot complain about that. However, how any home theater projector does not have an audio out option is beyond my comprehension. That or bluetooth capability would be nice. Getting this to be able to hook up to audio outside of the traditional large receiver and wires speakers is impossible. Also, I had the same model for less than a week and green started showing up on the picture screen. Must have been a chip or lens issue of some sort. Had to exchange it after less than a week.

Problems from the start.
Unit worked well the first week or so and then the lamp began turning itself off at random times, usually after several hours use. Checked the air filter and the cooling air flow, both seemed normal. Temperature light never came on. Continued operation seemed to make the intervals shorter, and now it is hard to get much more than an hour of viewing. The projector seems to restart with no problems until the next incident. This is the third Epson projector I have owned in the last ten years, first two with no problems.

Great value for my first projector
Purchased this just over a month ago for gaming (PC and console) and its been working well overall. The projector is on the noisy side but I don't notice it when playing any game. Picture is crisp and bright enough to play in the day being projected on a wall adjacent to a large window and at night with a few lamps on. This was very surprising and I'm glad I didn't have to black out my entire living room just to get a good picture. Only things I wish it had was audio out (had to upgrade my surround sound to one that has HDMI pass through) and a signal out for automatic screen operation.

Good Projector
I have been playing movies on this projector in the day and night. The movies are very clear even with some partial lighting nearby. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had a basic pin plug for a quick connect powered external speaker. I am not sure how I can connect my large speaker box to it since I only have Bluetooth, a pin plug, and USB port as my options.

No option to update; only supports AVI version 1.0?
We were counting on play off a USB option. However, there are a limited number of formats. I have converted to AVI at the prescribed resolution, but it still does not display. Would have been nice if there was an option to update the firmware to support AVI fully.

Epson 1060, 1080p, 3 LCD projector
I really like this projector. It's very clear and works surprisingly well with a lit up room.
The only issues I have is that it didn't have an audio output jack for an external speaker. This should be a standard option on all projectors since many people have external speakers that can be attached. The internal speaker does not work very well. I had to buy an adaptor for the audio output to work on my ion speaker box from Costco and to watch movies outside.

Vivid Excelseor
Don't even know if Excelseor is a word, but the image output of this project is vivid Excelseor which means it is theater quality (that's my own definition) And no, I'm not being paid for this review.. The color is so brilliant, and even the most minute details of faces are exposed. The resolution is unbelievable. Watched some football last night, it was like sitting in the sky boxes only closer. WOW!! My old project was an Optima 719 it provided great service for ten years then the color went south. Probably just an integrated circuit (IC) that had reach it's demise. I hope this Epson will give me the longevity I had with the Optima.

Good features but not great execution
to be fair, I have only had this a week, but this setup took over an hour just because the directions were insufficient and very clumsy. The software using the scanner is also very clumsy! There are too many clicks in order for me to do the scan, name it and email it to someone or myself. I will update this review when I am more familiar – and it might go in either direction. BTW – I have worked with 5 or 6 scanners already over the past 15 years.

Nice, economical projector.
I really like this projector. It has nice crisp resolution and projects a huge image (~10' diagonal from about 10 feet away. I was easily able to adjust the projector to output a perfectly straight and rectangular image.
The only negative I have with the projector so far is the din from the fan when on the bright modes. Mounted overhead, it is a little distracting during quiet movie scenes. In standard brightness modes, the fan is not audible. The standard brightness modes are adequate for very dimly lit or dark rooms. Also, the built in speaker is very weak. If this were my only audio source, I would be left wanting.

Solid device but less than ideal
Really good pic quality...Limited audio connection options. Havent been able to connect it to wireless soundbar (could be user error).
The fan blows warm air so it heats up a media room pretty easily

Awesome projector
I bought this epson projector to keep the kids entertained at home while "stay at home" due to COVID19 pandemic. The lumens/brightness is a great. I can watch movies both day and night. The cooling fans are fairly quiet. My only regret is that this projector does not have a audio output port. I still am very satisfied with this product.

Excellent picture quality
I bought this projector a month ago. It is bright enough to be used in a room with normal lighting. The widescreen aspect ratio allowed a bigger image on the screen as no letterboxing was required.
A low cost, portable alternative to a large LCD display. The color accuracy was good as was the brightness. It did not have the dull, "projector look," that one would get with an older projector.
The value was excellent. One of my best purchases in years.

Exceptional Quality
Initially purchased a cheap brand from Amazon(wouldn't say brand) but after I upgraded to this, it's a night and day difference. Simply amazing. Lesson learnt "always stick to reputed brands". Well I'm using a white reflective projection screen but I think ALR type screen is best suitable for this model.

Very Impressed, but would like more Image Controls
Been using projectors now for over 20 years. I've seen quite a transformation from the early days to now. This is my first Epson projector after using Optoma projectors only. Last year we purchased the Epson 2100 for my sister-in-law for Christmas and was blown away by the image of this projector! The color was the first thing that I noticed. It was so rich and so bright, incredible. Since out bulb was about to go on the Optoma, we decided to purchased a new projector instead of spending money on our old one, so glad we did! Being a film maker myself who has spent hours color correcting my work, I understand image quality maybe more than others. (Just A Spark Films) For my standard of choice I use Blade Runner 2049 on BluRay filmed by the incredible cinematographer Roger Deakins. You'll never see in any of his films an overexposed image. So as I was tweaking the settings, I wish I had once more control option, maybe there is on the higher end projectors? Understanding brightness and contrast has a direct affect on color saturation, so after two days of tweaking I'm finally happy with the image, however it would be nice to have more control on not image brightness, but projector brightness. Just having the 4 modes of game, cinema, bright cinema could be better if I could actually control the light output without changing my brightness and contrast. Case in point, when I color correct my films, I turn off the lights in my office and turn down the brightness of my computer monitor to get a better sense of the color.
Over all, I'm very impressed with this projector and I will not be purchasing any more Optoma projectors, this Epson Projector is light years ahead of any Optoma I"ve ever had.
To truly appreciate this projector, watch two Roger Deakins films, Skyfall and Bladerunner 2049. The cinematography is some of the best I've ever seen on screen! Thanks Epson for giving me this gift to enjoy great cinema.

Great picture but
I bought this projector for my first home theater system. It has a great picture and was easy to install. Only problem is you see a few tiny blue specks on the screen when it's dark. Kinda looks like a bad pixel you would see on a led television. Going to call Bestbuy to see if this can be fixed.

Almost plug-and-play for me.
I teach a monthly Photoshop, Lightroom and photography class and needed a replacement for my ageing Optoma projector. I got a new Asus laptop with 1080HD screen. I went to Best Buy, bought the 1060, plugged it in and only had to adjust the brightness. I needed to do nothing with the computer but use it. The projector copied the computer screen with perfect color with no input from me. Love playing video's on it PERFECT..

Right out of the box this Epson projector blew me away. The picture is nice and bright and the functionality is top notch. I only gave four stars because there is a slight grinding sound whenever I use a function, whether it's my AV reciever or cable box. This did not start until after the two week return policy from BB. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

First Use Review
So far, so good for this refurbished product. The price was good and, other than the brown-box packaging, it looks like a new product. I had rented this model before several times in the past and this particular example appears to operate just as well. The only thing I've noticed is that the internal speaker rattles a bit, but I don't expect to be using it much anyway, as I have a nice Yamaha 5.1 speaker system and receiver. I don't know what warrantee I have on this unit--it's not very clear from the e-mails and paper supplied with the product... Perhaps if you could apprise me of that I would appreciate it.
So far I am very excited to have my own HD video projector!

Affordable Home Theatre Projector
Purchased this projector for watching sports and movies on a 100" inch screen. Set up is easy. I was quite impressed with the projected images especially when watching sports and action movies and haven't noticed any blur in movement like in some projectors. I had chosen this projector for it's affordability, portability, and the cost when replacing the bulb. Also the ability to throw an image from a somewhat short distance to a screen since the room I am using it in is odd shaped (8 feet to screen). I also read people were concerned with the projector having no out put for external speakers, but I found this not a problem. I am using a streaming stick that has bluetooth, connected to a set of 2.1 amplified speakers using a bluetooth reciever and to my surprise sounds great. From the living room, back yard, or office, a great projector.

Bright picture
I bought the projector four weeks ago. It was easy to set up and projected a bright, clear picture. I used it outdoors and had a 100” screen. There was some daylight when I started and the picture was bright and clear. The only thing I would like to have on this projector would be an audio out source. The speaker is a little weak for movie watching but I pull the audio out of the hdmi signal before the picture with other equipment . I would recommend this projector to anyone wanting a low cost efficient projector that has a very high quality picture.

UNBELIEVABLE! This projector looks like a smart tv screen. Brightness is amazing--and we don't even have it on It's brightest settings so the fan runs quietly. I really feel like we just bought a 100 inch tv with an awesome picture. Daylight? NO PROBLEM--still watchable. We had a really cheap one before this-- not even a comparison. Excellent investment, highly recommended.
