I had to go and buy one from the store and the worse part is you can't talk to someone on a chat or nothing. I wanted to return it and the questions that were listed didn't answer my problem. You need to set your site up better, and let a person tell you what their problem is and message you so it can be quickly remedied or have a chat line, very disappointed. I had to go through Pay Pal to get my money back on my card.

I made the mistake of following hp’s prompts to shop in their store when they pointed out which ink cartridge needed replacing and I made the mistake of assuming hp using their shopping software for their ink for their printer that their software diagnosed would be ink cartridges that fit the hp printer. My bad, shouldn’t trust hp software!

Once I received an empty cartridge and on a couple of occasions, I ran out of ink after 20 pages or so. My last cartridge wasn’t printing in full color and didn’t last more than 10 pages. So I always keep an extra on hand. This purchase was my “backup”. Still, based on reviews, HP cartridges are the best buy.

This was the first time that I have ordered this way. Figuring that HP printer was smart I assumed that it would tell me what I needed for the printer so I ordered a 63 and 63 L cartridge pack. I asked for a refund but they denied me. You can see that I reordered the right cartridge (see E Mail string below) because I could not wait as my ink was out. I was denied the refund request for the first order and can’t understand why. I will never use HP again if they can not refund the original unused un opened cartridges which was the reason given for not refunding.

The colors are right one. I also only use the black cartridge which prints wonderfully. You get what you pay for and using these HP cartridges actually save me money. I am no longer throwing away poorly printed items.

The ink is fine, but I find I am getting less copies from each refill, even though I am not a high copy user. Also it takes way too long to receive the product (gone from next business day to around 10 days) and I miss the discount I used to get (far more than the current amount). Customer service is poor to non-existent, if you have to talk to a real person (excessive wait time and endless loops).

I had an experience several years ago where I did cartridge refills from a reputable company. The printhead on my HP printer started clogging, and got to the point where it was not repairable. The black printhead, where I used genuine HP ink, continued to be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Bought This Because HP Instant Ink Failed Me I have no problem with the ink cartridge itself. What I am not entirely pleased with is HP's Instant Ink program. I pay every month for ink according to what HP decides I'm using. When my Tri-color ink cartridge ran out, HP Instant Ink told me that, according to their records, I should already have replacement cartridges on hand. I did not have them on hand, so I ordered the Tri-color cartridge from HP at my own expense over and above the monthly fee HP Instant Ink charges to my credit card. After I had already inserted the Tri-color ink cartridge I bought, THEN a box from HP Instant Ink arrived in the mail. Meanwhile, when I used the new Tri-color cartridge, HP Smart told me I needed to remove the non-HP-Instant-Ink cartridge or they wouldn't be able to keep track of my ink usage to keep me supplied. So what am I supposed to do? Throw away a thirty-something-dollar ink cartridge cartridge I just bought? I don't think so. This may spell the end of my participation in HP Instant Ink.

I used the original HP cartridge but switched to an inferior generic brand for a replacement. Nothing but issues. For me HP gets it right and that's what I am going to stick with. They even have a convenient automatic replacement program for the ink cartridges, I will have to give that a go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ink Cartridge and Communication Problem This 63 color cartridge was returned , to be exchanged for a black 63 cartridge (reference RMA #R301197428). When I recently replaced the black cartridge on my printer, it generated the message "At least one of the cartridges has a problem." It is not the protected tape on the outside, that has been removed. Besides, I tried this cartridge several times and still get the same reading - it's not the protected tape. When I attempted to fix using the HP Print Doctor, before you can read what to do, a new window appeared asking me to do a survey. Their survey covered the left side of the screen, blocking their information on how to correct the problem. Then I could not exit this survey; that window remained there blocking the left side of their information. There is no button to exit or commit the survey; I had to close HP's website to exit and start over. Later, I tried a chat, the best way to communicate with a person. That chat did not go well, as I was referred to the same instructions which shortly into, brings up their survey window that prevents you from reading their instructions. In short, it's not that their color cartridge was bad, it's HP's communication with the public. One other thing: I normally purchase my ink from HP directly, but this time I purchased a 63 color/black cartridge combo from Walmart; big mistake. If you purchase directly from HP, at least you can comment on it after receipt. I am still waiting for their exchange, as I hope a new black ink cartridge should work. Originally I ordered (or attempted to order) a black cartridge - I know this because I requested a plain 63 black as compared to the 63XL black - thinking that the "XL" cartridge was at fault. Their system switched to a 63-color cartridge and I did not realize the change.

The printer was easy to clear the very rare paper jams I had and it's nice to get the warnings that I'm low on ink. I also like the combination cartridge packages that save me money. I tried in the past to have cartridges refilled , but they don't last as long or they're not accepted by the printer. I now only stick with new HP cartridges. I always order online and the deliveries are fast and often earlier than promised.

I went online and after much trial and error I got a return form filled out and submitted. I received a message that within 30 minutes I would be sent a return label to use to send the defective cartridge in. I never received it. I sent in another form and got the same message. I never got the label. I will never order another cartridge from your ompany.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer good, automatic ink program BAD I'm very happy with the printer.  However, I also signed up to have automatic shipments of ink when the supply runs low.  When the color ink cartridge ran low, they sent me TWO replacements.  I have still not replaced the original cartridge because it still is not out of ink, but hp has been sending me alerts to replace the original cartridge -- with the messages coming every few minutes.  This morning, when I turned on the computer I had to delete 45 of these messages that had accumulated overnight.  I'm still trying to find out how to cancel these automatic shipments.  When I buy the ink cartridge myself, I don't get bombarded with reminders!!!

Costco and Walmart are the only large stores on the island! So running a small business from home was powerfully hard until a friend turned me on the HP's website. I received my supplies, on a small island FAR from the lower 48, overnight! I didn't even pay for that!! I always get what I need quickly and professionally. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very few prints from last color cartridge I may have gotten about a dozen high-quality color prints before the low ink warning light came on and the prints started showing low ink. Not very much for the price of the cartridge and not in keeping with my past experience. I'm going to write it off to a bad cartridge and order one more. After that, it's on to another brand of printer. Each new HP printer seems to be lower quality than the last. If my 15 year old one which I keep for a backup had a scanner and was wireless capable, it would be my current printer.

My current color cartridge is working fine. No spaces or gaps when I print in color. I would buy this cartridge again.

I had to put the old one back in, realign them and then had to purchase new cartridges at the store. I will never shop for them online again. Now I have to figure out how to return them. When I removed it the file with small dots had been removed. I cannot able to use my printer until I purchase more ink and I am concerned that I may encounter the same thing again. I have not been able to call customer service because I have health problems and have not felt like calling. I have bought ink from HP for my printers for many years. I have never before had a problem, with ink nor anything else I have ordered. I fell as if I just got a defective ink but the problem is the cost and time involved without the use of my printer. I would still buy HP Products and HP has always taken care of me as a customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be Much Better I don't print every day or even every week and I find that these cartridges dry up long before they are empty which wastes my money. I also find that at times my printer doesn't recognize them as genuine HP cartridges and I have to reinstall. the alignment process works only half the time on the first try. The actual print quality is actually very nice if you can hang in there through the frustration of getting them to work.

I find it does well with the HP ink and I have tried the "recycled" ones and sometimes my printer rejects them. I just wish I could get a cheaper price!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked, but why didn't the old one work I had to my mother in assisted living. As part of that I brought her fairly new HP printer home as she can no longer use it. I set it up in my own home office without problem except no color would print. Black printed fine, but no color. I used up several pages of paper and ink trying to diagnose the problem, the ink cartridge appeared to have ink but it would not print any color, only black. So, I bought a new tri color cartridge. After installing it, now the printer prints in color. That's great. Until the same thing happens again I guess. Problem is, I don't use the printer much, so sitting idle, the ink drys up in the cartridge and becomes useless. In the past I've thrown several inkjet printers in the trash because of this problem. I bet there must be millions of inkjet printers in landfills all over the world. What a waste.

To top it off, it will not accept any ink cartridge unless it is an HP cart yet HP has the nerve to ask you to send back the spent cartridge. What a joke. This my friends is what GREED has done to this world and it is a crying shame. I really miss the simplicity of my old DELL printer.

It took 10 for me to get it and I only got the black do had to call and speak to a supervisor who immediately sent me the color and I received the next day. I put on my printer and the color was very light so I had to Google to fix that and I did. So a little disappointed. The people I spoke to were great just the service not so great. HP products are simply the best and their customer service is excellent. Around the first of the year I purchased a new HP Office jet 3830. This printer seems to be quite economical in the amount of ink that it uses. I also enjoy using the remote print feature. I did a lot of printing in March and I need more ink and paper and placed an order on March 31st. Along with the 63XL black and the 63X Standard color cartridge, I order two reams of paper to avoid having to go to a local store. HP’s online ordering process is quite user friendly. I received the order in 10 days which was longer than the usual three to four days. HP did keep me informed as to the status of my order. I received an email stating that HP was experience a surge in internet orders due to the pandemic and asked for my patients. I appreciate them keeping me informed. Again, they always give good customer service.

I know that the ink is always in stock as in the stores, you cannot depend on the ink being there when you need it. I always order the ink in 2 packs. Once I put in the last ones, I order again. There is a generic brand but it only prints 1590 pages. So I was glad to find this out just wish the color was a little cheaper but since I don't use that too much so it evens out. It is also easy take out and put in.

My last HP printer had a grace period where you knew they needed replaced and had time to buy before it actually stopped printing. The HP products are good quality, are packaged well, and arrived quickly even during these slow delivery times. I especially like that they send you an envelope to recycle your cartridges.

In the distance you see a herd of mammoth, woolly hair, long tusks, and you think to yourself I wish I had a way to document this for others to see. You find some red clay in the nearest riverbed, taking it back with you to your cave and start finger painting. But what if you had HP 63 Tri-color Ink? If you did, you'd be able to have created a painting on your PC and printed it out for your own tribe to see in rich detail, shocking the shaman with the drying time and color properties. You would become their leader, for HP 63 Tri-color ink does the job no other original ink cartridge can do!

Since I did not catch the problem with this cartridge prior to 30 days post-purchase (I infrequently print in color), I was unable to return this purchase because I was past the 30 day return policy. I purchased a new color cartridge on 12/23/2019 and was told I would receive a $10 credit for this purchase. This has still not happened. The new cartridge is awesome.

We adore the new one and the new cartridges (#63's), as they are almost the same as the old ones (#61's). NOTE: We think the reason the old one died is because we bought generic cartridges to save money. I guess the old expression is true, "You get what you pay for"! Never again will we purchase a generic, but we learned to only purchase OEM HP cartridges. The good thing that came out of this experience was the new printer, as now it prints with absolute beauty, and to bout, by wireless!, has the fax ability. is so so quiet. and is such an improvement in every way to our old trusty HP, which we once again LOVED so very much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instructions were miss leading Following the instruction on the printer called for a new ink cartridge, however the printer doesn't work, can't be repaired at a price less than a new printer. Printer was only used a year before it failed. Not good quality.

Printer ink always seems like such a rip off, and the fact that HP offers an “ink subscription service” doesn’t help this impression. It is hard to believe this is not intentional by HP Inc.

When I tried to print a page, I received the message of ink may be dried up. I like using HP original ink cartridges, less mess and quick change. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wrong cartridge I went into HP site and put printer name and number and asked what cartridge I needed. The site brought up Hp63. When I received it, it would not work. I went to my local print store and found out I needed HP65 XL Paid more at store but it works. I had already opened the cartridge and inserted into printer (it fit) so couldn't return. Sent back in spent cartridge mailer.

There is no comparison with quality at all. HP cartridges last longer, produce a better printed paper, the ink doesn’t run or blob. I’ve shopped around for the best price and always end up right here!

It does well with graphing and it's blends are well calibrated for a decent quality picture print out. It is smooth without grit. Hp inks so far have shown me no problems with clotting or clogging of the cartriges as can happen with some.

Since online shopping is now the best way to shop, that’s what I have done for several years. But no longer…the HP shipments just take way too long to arrive and the ink cartridges are very expensive. I had run out of ink and was driving to a UPS shipping store to print out documents, at $4.00 each! I will be searching for an alternative to buying HP online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was in an unusual situation I have my 3 HP printers registered with Instant Ink. However, I had not used one of them for quite some time and the colour and B+W cartridges had dried out. Cleaning them with isopropanol didn't help. I could not figure out how to ask Instant Ink to send me new ones since these still reported themselves has having plenty of ink left. I ordered one of each, installed them, and the printer is working perfectly agian.
