One of the Worst Laptops Out
This is easily the worst laptop I've ever had the displeasure of owning. The features should easily be the selling point, being constant crashes, constant restarts that cause you to lose all of your work, a very poor build and durability, and perhaps the best being the fact that it is incredibly slow and not worth a single penny you pay for it. It's a shame that this could even make it to market.

Compared to many this is the best
We buy a number of different CB and try other to find one that will hold up to student use and is easy to repair. The HP G6 has held up the best so far. It has saved me hours of repair work. HP support for this product is excellent and parts are easy to find.

Grear Product
I bought this chromebook 6 months ago. Putting the price and benefits in context, is a good basic device. I can surf the internet, watch videos, edit university documents, read the pdf, listen to music. I have not had problems in any way. Clearly I will not demand it as a desktop PC with 6 cores and 16 GB of RAM, but for what it is it complies. 100% recommended

Not Worth Your Money
I have a Chromebook that I bought almost 6 months ago and it was the worst thing I did. Firstly, It can't even run any .exe or .dmg which are typical windows and mac files. The materials are so cheap there are so many scratches on the bottom of the Chromebook. It shuts off randomly for no reason and upon booting it closes all work websites. I would be best to save up and buy a Mac or Windows because this Chromebook is a piece of junk

Great product for the price
I've purchased between 300-400 of these over the last year, and have had the reliability that we have come to expect from HP. There have been a few minor issues, but HP support has been quick to resolve the issues.

So many keyboard issues
I work for a school district that bought a couple thousand G6 EEs. There were so many keyboard issues that our vendor was unable to get more palmrests for several weeks because HP was out of stock! And we had to ship another 10 back to the vendor today alone- almost all for keyboard issues.

READ THIS!
This Chromebook is awful I have it for school work and it is slow, it takes forever to load, sometimes it unloads some tabs that you have open if you go to a different tab, and the keyboard is terrible. Do not buy this laptop unless you want a garbage laptop with horrible performance with a terrible keyboard and a small screen that's too expensive.

Avoid at all costs
My school ordered these chromebooks for my entire class. Immediately, several of my friends began to complain that their keyboards were not working. I dismissed these complaints, thinking they must have dropped their chromebooks, causing them to not work. However, my H key and my backspace key barely work! I have to almost smash the keys at full force in order to get the keys to type. Just typing this review caused me the smash the keyboard several times. If you want a laptop, just spend the extra money and get a real one.

Our school bought a literal ton of these
Out of the 180 we deployed in a grade, already in just one month 6 keyboards went bad. All the same issue: a cluster of keys near each other just stop working. I suspect I'll be dealing with this issue for the next year or two by sending it back to HP Warranty. My feeling with HP chromebooks since G3 to now is every iteration, HP takes 2 steps forward and 2 steps back. Out of all of them, the G5 EE model was probably the most sturdy, easy to fix, and had the least hard ware issues.

Keyboard Issues
District ordered tons of these this year and so many had keyboard issues in just under 3 months. Most if not all had to sent back to HP to get fixed, which sometimes took up to 3 months.
Other than that issue it's just another chromebook that can run the basic things needed for school.

The worse chromebook ever
Our district bought over 450 of these and so far a year out ive had to replace over 10 motherboards after a year out...then during warranty we would have issues where the Chromebook would not hold any power to which it would not boot even after 24 hrs of charging. I called to see if there was a solution for this and i was told to let it sit on the charger for 24 hrs... I dont have time for that. As well weve had several sent back for warranty issues including the keyboard, board and battery issues.
Another drawback is that the bezel is held on with double sided tape to which you need a skillfull technician and a heat gun to remove with out damaging the screen or internals. Please go back to the G3 and G4 models as far as case and internals they where the best repair waise and more reliable. I will say that if your looking for a more dependable device that will go for a while under the new AUP period for google go with the HP G6 A EE model first. It doesnt have half as many issues with the devices as the G6 EE model.
