I changed internet company and months later the router provided began to fail. It was the perfect time to connect the NETGEAR router and, it has been the best decision made. It works wonderfully and due to the size of the device, it doesn't take up space. The main TV is wire connected and, through wifi: another TV, 2 cell phones, a laptop, 4 tablets. It's connection is fast and the speed excellent.

The new T-Mobile 5-G home internet would not connect with my quality HP printers but fortunately, the Newtwork 8 wire ports would connect to my NETGEAR AC1200 that could. t also doubled my Wi-Fi Connectivity to phones, tablets and other Wi-Fi devices. Bravo!

Setup was easy the first time. The second time was just as easy! I had to reset it and connect it to a different network and it worked like a dream. This is a great little extender!

The house is brick with 3/4” drywall walls and about 1400 sq ft, just to give an idea of the range. My internet is generally 100-114 dl with 11-14 ul speeds with a wired connection. We have about 10 devices connected and using wireless at any given time. Like I said, so far no issues streaming movies.

I got this one and I have not reset my router once since I bought it. The speed seems fine etc. Love it. WE were resetting the router 10 times somedays.

I have moved the router to a different room in our house and there was some improvement but not much. I was excited because I thought this router would be new and improved compared to the old Netgear I owned, but to my dismay it is not.

Have been able to locate router in a more central location than I could before with the Cable modem/router. Was disappointed I could not receive the full 225mbs the cable provided through the router, even when computer is plugged into the ethernet cable. If I put a splitter on the inline, I can get the full power by bypassing router. The app is a good.

The nighthawk x6 is a tri-band, but that really doesnt seem to matter when none of your 20 smart devises only use the 2.4 band. In researching routers for our new internet service, this one seemed to fit the bill for what we needed. The crew that put our WiFi in hooked it up for us and we have been up and running ever since, streaming movies, YouTube, etc., with no problems. Had a smaller NetGear Router for many years with never an issue. Will stick with NetGear in the future as well. Very happy with this purchase.

So you can connect to higher bandwidth signal for high performance gaming or browsing at a faster speed and the lower one for intermediate browsing. All this just using a single router. Chose this one based on positive reviews and it has not disappointed! Set up was fast and so easy, as was registering. I love that the router is connected to an app and the control that you have over devices internet access. If I feel like turning off the wifi to my sons Xbox, it’s as easy as a push of a button on the app. Great WiFi signal to all parts of the house which is great. Probably should have bought this thing a while a ago.

I surprised myself that I didn’t have to get tech support to make it work. It operates much better than the other brand that this one replaced. The Blackhawk was recommended by our local cable repairman.

I was running back and forth to reset it sometimes four or five times to get my tv on line. I finally broke down and got the new router. Now my tv, tablets, and phones all connect without kicking the other devices off of wi-fi. My frustration is gone.

Once it was setup, no device would stay connected to it and the speeds were horrible when the were connected. Ended up using the old router again until I purchased a better router.

Not knowing anything about wifi, routers, service, cables, literally anything, I was extremely intimidated when I found out I had to set up the wifi by myself. As brave as I could be, I opened the box the Netgear router came in, and much to my surprise, I had it set up and running in under 2 minutes. This router is faster than majority of the guys here at college (edit this part out if inappropriate*)! I was extremely relieved and so excited to be able to accomplish this without any roadblocks! Love this product!!

Now, how is one supposed to go online to get the app before the internet connection is restored? Fortunately, the "Genie" admin software leftover from the R6100 was still included in the R6120. (The need to procure the 6120 was that the 6100 I was using had failed.) Hmmm.

I went to Walmart to look for one and found the Netgear Nighthawk AC1200 and so I bought it not having much in mind. After getting home and setting it up I was amazed at how easy it was to set up and how fast my internet speed was. It was truly one of my best purchases ever. I like that the range is better than my previous netgear router, and it has more features than my previous one did. I think that the developers should add another option to the media prioritization feature, it would be better if you could also designate a low priority to a network connected device. My nephew has a bad habit of downloading updates for all his xbox games at the same time that he is playing an online game and it causes the whole network to lag. We have asked him not to do this but he keeps saying that he forgets. I would like to make his xbox a low priority on the network but am unable to do this at this time. But I do like the parental control option that lets me limit what times he is able to connect his xbox to the internet, as this is used as a punishment for when he "forgets" and does it again.

The only gripe I have with it is that because we have to install it in only one area, the WiFi doesn’t reach certain parts of our apartment. Glad I did — easy install, great features and app (very intuitive and simple to create guest access to WiFi connection, see who’s on your network, and more. From a design aspect, I just wished it was in small tower form to allow for a better fit and space saving but it’s just a very minor aesthetic gripe. I def recommend.

Although this is drastic improvement from my last router, still get an ok signal using the regular connection. The 5G connection though is where you’ll see the biggest difference as long as your close enough to receive it. I find using the 5G connection for my gaming is much better and keeping my portable devices on the regular connection seems to work best for me. Overall, satisfied with my purchase!

We shop at Wal-Mart due to the fact they are more reasonable with their prices and the electronics department has very smart people working there and they recommended this router for what we needed to be able to stay online. It was easy peasy to hookup and start. I would buy it again if I had to!

While the expensive router may have had more to offer and look like something from a space ship, this little unit ($55 at wal-mart) does everything I need it to. I installed it in my garage where my office is located and it provides solid reliable wifi everywhere in the shop, and it's speeds produce flawless gaming/streaming results. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anybody.

I was living in the past with an outdated laptop, and a V-E-R-Y router with extremely slow connections. Needed to update, wastn't sure I knew how to set everything up, but with Netgears tutorials and easy to read and understand the directions, the whole process went as smooth as you could ask for! I'm proud that I could do it with your help of course, because I was stuck back there in " the old school" of doing things...like asking my grandson to set things up for me. Seems like the youngin's got a real knack for all of this electronics stuff...but like I said before.."even I could do it." Thanks a bunch, Netgear!

I bought this Net Gear router when I was looking for a router replacing VZ rental CPE which costs me $10/mo. so after VZ tech pull the fiber to my unit and plugged the circuit into this router. I registered this device with a few clicks online and it works very well with VZ fios and I am very satisfied how well it accommodates the service. highly recommend for someone looking to buy a router which would run well on any service provider's internet circuit.

It was such a pain.(Belkin brand) I tried doing a update on it, but it did not help. But that could have been because I was doing something wrong. Anyways, what a difference, I don't have to worry about resetting it, it is faster, I don't have to connect my device to the wifi every time I turn on the computer, the password is not a difficult one to remember if you are like me and don't want the hassle of changing the factory password.

I purchased the router in an emergency after my old Belkin burned out right before a video conference. Setup was very quick, and all my Ethernet devices (Printers, plotters etc.) all interfaced with my WiFi devices as if nothing changed THANK GOD!! It is also nice that I can now set my phone to use the 5 GHZ band and keep the laptops and tablets on the 2.4 band. Things don't slow down like they used to during my conference calls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear AC1200 router I upgraded from a drink dir 605 which dropped service every 10 mins that failed to work with the Arris 1602m cable modem i was upgraded to and this new Netgear router is blazing fast not a single drop in internet connections it supports both IPV4 and IPV6 and it was around $60 at Walmart I install internet systems for people and hotels and repair computers and I am glad to finally own one for myself awesome little compact unit packs a powerful wifi transciever too! I was expecting a router that was still good enough for my needs to cost me above 100 dollars, but I managed to snag this guy at Wal-Mart for like 70. For an AC1200 from a reputable company like netgear that is amazing. Even 1200 is overkill for me so I don't know what possed me to purchase it over a router like this a year ago, I have definitely learned who to trust in the future.

I live in a mobile home (big aluminum box and the signal from this router is strong in every part of the house providing 5G service. Have not tried streaming anything yet and I am not a big gamer. I set the 5ghz band for the higher volume mb stuff (fire stick, roku tv. And the 2ghz band for smart phones and other smart devices. Home is much quicker internet overall since this purchase. Traveled to the store and spent some time looking at all the options and picked the best one for streaming and game play. Got home and hooked it up and had to download an app on my phone which was easier than what I had to do with the Belkin. After all said and done, I have better signal all through the house and havn't dropped signal since then! Very happy with my purchase.

A few reviews also said it was very easy to install. Great, that is the last thing I wanted to worry about or have trouble with. Enough said, it was set up in minutes and has worked like a charm. It eventually wouldn't give me speeds of more than 20mb down, so I upgraded to this router. Not only is it faster, but the range is better. I haven't had a Netgear router before, but I am pleased and I would definitely recommend. It handles HD streaming and gaming well, plus all we need to do on our iPhones, tablets, and laptops.

It was easy to set up and use with my modem, I have had no issues connecting to the router, whether TV, phone or laptop. Signal strength around the house is excellent with my devices pegged at a constant 300Mbps on 2.4GHz. Unable to comment on the router settings as of yet as I have not yet been into the menu's to play with these settings. Overall very pleased.

We had a previous router of a different brand that we attempted to use, but we couldn't get wifi anywhere in the house. It just wasn't strong enough. So we made our first purchase as husband and wife and bought the NETGEAR AC1200 and we love it. It was easy to set up and we get wifi everywhere. We have two computers, two iPads, two phones, a smart TV and two xbox's hooked up to it and we have no problem getting a strong signal to any of our devices. The 5ghz doesn't reach as well but gives me the full 50mb speed Im paying for where as the top speed on the 2.4 has only been 10mb

I like the ability to use 2.4 and 5 g on both the primary and guest set up. I am on Spectrum and have 2 ROKU & 1 Chromecast tv, 2 phones, a laptop, and a printer on the router and all work as they should. I have recommend it to my brother in law. Satisfied.

Didn't want 5G and unable to turn it off as it was interfering with my Wifi provider box. But the tech just moved its signal down to a lower frequency so all is good. Would be good to be able to turn it off, though.

It was super easy to setup; I downloaded the app on my phone and it is so easy to use! I have had perfect signal on all my devices, and have had zero problems with it. I love this product!

We have had the best improvementselection not only on the WiFi connection, but the speed alone is great! We have a house full tech-ees, from game consoles, phones, tablets, heck, the lists is endless. I have told all of my friends about the new router we bought, and a couple of them have already went out and purchased one for themselves as well. We love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met needs and beyond The NETGEAR router has provided consistent access to WIFI to date. A plus is that it also meets Spectrums requirements as we bundle computer (internet) and phone service. The router we bought initially did not. We are pleased with our router's service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear Router is 'in gear' I've had my router about one week so far and I've had absolutely no problems with my internet service. I pair it with the local university's internet service which is somewhat slower than the larger companies out there. However I rarely, if ever, feel the difference with this router!

It is reasonably priced, and we have fast working wi-fi throughout our 2-level house, even down in our basement. It was easy and fast to install. We definitely recommend this router to those who are interested in it.

I had my previous Netgear for 8yrs. Only got a new one because my old one did not support the new internet I got.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend I bought the NETGEAR AC1200 Dual Band Wi-Fi Router (R6120 as my previous router was failing to support all our electronic devices over wifi and the speed was getting reduced considerably. But this product is awesome and am glad i bought it. All my connectivity issues are resolved and the speed is great !!! I would definitely recommend it to one and all who is looking for a modem router for their home or business purpose.
