Good watch, expensive for the quality
good watch, heavy. you can certainly tell you have a watch on. purchased the rose gold and within 2 years, the watch did not keep the rose gold color. watch has never been submerged in water. i would not recommend purchasing based on color preference. for the price of this watch, discoloration of the watch should not be acceptable.
lot of apps i am not able to find that would be helpful.

Nice but lacking
this is a nice watch but the lack of the facebook app is disheartening. there is a huge lack of apps available for the watch. other than that it is very nice to have.

It is a good watch!
i bought this watch and at first i loved it. it was picking up my workouts and everything else just fine but recently it does not pick up every workout. i have turned off a lot of the preinstalled apps and notifications are only on for a few apps. but the battery life definitely is not a couple days, even with a simple watch screen on. a little disappointed in that aspect but overall it does do a lot more than my galaxy fit.

Great watch
though i prefer the easier use and versatility of the fossil smart watches, this one has way better battery life and almost as capable on other stuff and more capable as far as phone calls goes. i wish the watch faces were more customizable like fossil and that it had full keyboard for texting, but overall, very happy.

Love the watch but it didn't last for long
love the watch, it's fast, responsive (for a smartwatch), looks good, works well. unfortunately, just after the warranty expired the watch will constantly lose the bluetooth connection to my phone which causes the watch to constantly scan for the phone which in turn makes the battery drain very fast -- think 4-5 hours fast. resetting the watch did not help. the top button also started getting very flakey a little before the warranty expired but i didn't think much of it as it still worked the majority of the time. however, it now doesn't work at all and it's out of warranty so the watch has lost a lot of its functionality and it will be expensive to fix. for a $250 watch, i really expected to get a lot more life from it.

VERSATILE, USEFUL & BEAUTIFUL WATCH
i got a rose gold 42mm last year. i enjoyed the ability to change the watch face, as well as the capabilities to support my fitness and daily routine.
i used it for swimming all summer long 2019 and worked nicely but don't recommend immersing the watch in depth because corrosion may occur on the battery causing the inability to charge.
in my case the watch died completely and i had to send it to samsung for repair.
i would like to express my thanks to samsung service team for helping me fix my watch replacing all the parts and fixing it at no cost even though my watch was out of warranty.
i'm grateful and super happy having my galaxy watch back and being able to enjoy all its features once again.
nice job samsung to keep my loyalty forever!

Disappointed in the appearance
generally speaking, i'm happy with my smart watch performance, however, i'm very disappointed that the rose gold color is completely gone and it's been less than a year since i purchased my watch. now, i look like i'm wearing a bulky gold plated costume jewelry watch. i wear my watch everyday. if the watch was going to lose its rose gold plating so easily, it would have been nice to have been made aware that wearing your watch while you exercise, walk, swim, and etc., is going to significantly change the appearance of the watch.

Awesome watch
This watch is absolutely amazing. Never thought I would need or want a smart watch but glad I decided to take a leap of faith. It reminds me of current events, it knows when I am not moving and let me know to exercise. Keeps track of time and log down every statistics available. Good on text and incoming calls. Just so much it can do that I cannot express in words. Just buy it and you will love it

I'm Happy
I purchased for my wife. She loves it. People compliment the appearance. No trouble in water aerobics. Remember to download the app. It is much easier to navigate than the watch face. Plus, it allows updates. She uses my it as a fitness tracker. It interacts with my fitness Pal. However, she uses Samsung health app the most. Turn off many of the notifications and phone's apps for battery life. I subtracted a star because making the watch "smart" significantly decreases battery life. Ummm... why would I purchase a smart watch and not tie it into calendar, texts, and fitness tracking? That 4 day claim of battery life is misleading.

Really wanted to love this watch
pros:
size. i love the size and style. looks great vs to apple watch.
easy to scroll thru, customize.
display was clear, vivid
cons:
doesnt work well w iphone. i know that’s partly apple’s fault but even apps like spotify didn’t work w my phone. can’t get text messages and other basic functions. the app was clunky.
battery died daily. my brother has the same watch and his lasts for days. so maybe i had a dud. i didnt keep a lot of apps open and used battery-saving mode.
step-count was not accurate, about 20% higher than my other device, which i know to be the correct based on measuring w a map.
be sure to read reviews about using this watch w your phone model/brand.

Amazing Watch!
this is my first smart watch and i am very happy with the watch i chose. i get a day of battery life, dozens of workouts to choose from, and a great overall experience. i love it's water resistance and accurate step and distance counting. the spinning wheel is a great feature to the watch. this is an amazing watch and i would 100% recommend this to other people (and have been).

Would be cool... if it lasted
for the watch that touted battery life, this watch battery dies daily. also be careful about the charger. i have woken up many a morning to find that it was not placed perfectly and did not charge.
i have never been able to try the overnight features, because of this.
i miss my old gear 2!
i primarily use the watch to see alerts, when i dont want to look at my phone. so i guess it works for that. i also wish that it was pure android. many apps to not support the samsung watches.

Really nifty toy!
i call it a toy, and that's exactly what these are. do you need one to get full benefit of the samsung smart phone experience? no. however, if you have a couple hundred burning a hole in your pocket, it's one heck of an enhancement to the experience.
when i first figured out that i could actually answer my phone through the watch like dick tracey (look it up, kiddies. you think we have toys? :-) ) i was blown away. i hate driving and trying to talk on the phone, even aside from how dangerous that stuff is. however, with my watch, i just swiped, and began talking w/ both hands on the wheel. brilliant!

Love it
I really love my watch. All features work as advertised. Additional features I wasn't expecting are the device locator (which sounds an alarm on your phone, allowing you to find your phone when you've misplaced it), the SOS feature (which is an emergency function that will notify your contacts of choice, and allow them to track your location), and the water expulsion feature (which forces water out of the device in the event that it's been submerged in water). I've had the watch for a year, and have had no issues. It's worked very consistently, and is not 'buggy'. The heart rate monitor is fairly accurate, when compared to manual heart rate checks, my blood pressure monitor, or exercise equipment. I also really like the variety of watch faces that are available. For me, this has been a great purchase.

Nice little watch
I bought this watch because Samsung took away the 46mm Frontier watch. This is a nice watch to hold over until Samsung pulls their head out of the butt and see that we want a black 46mm watch.
Now this watch works well and has good battery life. It has all the same features as the larger watch. I hope that Samsung will build a black 46mm that works with all the apps that are on the phone. I like the way Apple integrates the app function into the watch.

Great features horrible battery life
I purchased the Galaxy watch as a replacement for my frontier. I was instantly disappointed in the battery life. Averaging only 14 hours from full to 25% and that's with all sensors and Wifi off. This is the same issue the frontier has. New phone and a replacement watch did the same thing. It makes the watch pretty unusable for certain tasks. Samsung says its working correctly, you be the judge i'll be moving on to something else.

very poor tracking and battery life. Been using it to track my lap and it is off by 25-50 yards for a total of 1000 yards. Needs to be charged each day for 3-4 hrs to be 100%. How are you supposed to track your sleep or activities like that? I had Vivoactive that needs charging per two weeks, with great accuracy tracking my activities. This has just the looks but nothing in the performance department

Mostly perfect
The watch itself is wonderful and I love the software and all the features. The one and only problem I have is that you can't download Google apps. You can only download apps from the Galaxy Store. So I could still get Spotify, but I can't get Google messages. That is a big enough let down for me that I'm giving this 4 stars. You have to use the same app on your phone that you use with your watch, so I had to go back to Samsung messages. Other than that. This watch is perfect.

Nice watch until it breaks
Owned the watch for a little over a year and really like it. Unfortunately about 8 or 9 months in the glass piece that covers the heart rate monitor fell off. Replaced it and shortly after that the watch got really hot on the charger, the same piece (held on by adhesive) fell off again and the watch quit working. Took a couple of weeks to get warranty repair. 6 months later the same piece fell off again.

Did they even QA this product?
I purchased this device eight months ago and was happy for the first couple months. About two months in, I had to send the watch in for service when the accelerometer seemingly went out as sleep data was no longer being recorded (The factory resets and software updates were in vain). From a consumer standpoint, I don't think the quality is really there with the money you have to spend on a watch like this. I just can't say the hardware was properly designed with the problems I've been experiencing.
Now, just a few months later, I'm having to send the device in again since the battery won't last longer than 8 hours on "low-power mode." Why should I be acting as a Beta tester when this watch is already in production!? After sleuthing the message boards, I found multiple complaints from other customers with the same device. All Samsung had been responding with was "turn off the features [you paid for] to increase the battery life." Very helpful, Samsung. You guys really know how to make a customer feel valued.
When I purchased this watch I was expecting a complete product and better performance for the money I spent. Strangely enough, Samsung's return policy is not longer than about a month. Funny how things have a tendency to fall apart after the warranty expires. Now I realize I shouldn't expect much out of Samsung's wearables ¯\_(?)_/¯. If I ever do go with another smart watch, I'll be steering clear of anything Samsung. Buyer beware.

Amazing Watch
I have always owned a fitbit and decided to buy this watch and see what the difference was. This watch has the ability to basically do everything a phone does. I can make and receive calls, and messages. It tracks sleep, stress, steps, heart rate, and more. I can use the watch to pay on the go. its very confortable to wear, doesnt get in the way. I love everything about his watch and will never go back to fitbit and this watch has made my life so much better. I do wish the battery life laster longer and I wish it had the ability to take pictures and record. The watch is a little pricey but so worth it, so if you dont already own this watch, go buy it!!! It will not dispoint you. I PROMISE. Thank you Samsung!!!!!!

Beautiful, but...
The primary reason I bought this smart watch was to be able to listen to audio books via Overdrive app. In my research, it seemed that would be possible. However, I have spent hours making the attempt to install the app, to no avail. It doesn't seem to be an option, so I will return the watch. Walking while listening to books without having to bring my cell was the goal...oh well.

Not a Fitness Watch
I bought this watch 2 years ago. It functions as a smart watch should - but it boasts of having the ability to load music and track your fitness mileage.
- to add music to your watch you must use your computer there isn't an app that allows you to download the music as I figured there would be.
- the gps tracking on this watch is probably the most inaccurate thing I've seen. I run with a friend who has a Garmin watch and my Samsung watch consistently is 3/4 of a mile off. Reading reviews - there has been ZERO improvement to this capability other than "Turn it on airplane mode, disconnect your phone, don't be around anything with connectivity" - It's a smart watch...
functions for everything else - but I wanted a watch that could download music easily and track my mileage. it didn't happen, hoped within 2 years things would improve, but it hasnt.

Great watch until it refused to connect to phone
i loved this watch. it worked great 1.5 years requiring one warranty repair to fix a loose sensor cover. watch worked fine until upgraded phone from note 9 to note 10+. now have tried everything & watch will no longer pair with anything (as even tried to pair to other phones). after following samsung support advice & chatting with support, watch is now factory reset/erased & still won’t connect. can use as dumb watch without phone connection (but why?). samsung's only advice is to send in for repair as it is broken? it worked perfectly when paired with my previous phone and no damage from me and as watch is now out of warranty, no info on cost would be to repair & if even worth it at this point. for something that costs over $250, one would hope it would last at least two years.

Love this watch!
I bought this watch right before Christmas as an open box item from Best Buy. I am very pleased with the performance so far. I have small wrists so it looks and feels a bit heavy but the convenience far outweighs those issues. I have to 2 factor authentication at my work all day long. With the watch I can be logging from any computer station and get the code right on the watch instead of having to carry my phone around. Also, the watch alerts me when I have a call or message.

I love being able to answer a phone call or text. I really love having googlemaps show up on my phone when driving to give me the directions. These are the only reason I kept the watch. Unfortunately, the watch does NOT keep accurate Heart Rate nor Steps. If you want a watch for exercise accuracy, go for the Fit Bit. I hope galaxy improves on these areas.

Battery Life doesn't last
I've had this watch for a year now. Overall the watch is still great. The battery at first lasted about 2 full days. Currently, it only lasts about 12-16 hours and that's only if I don't really use it all day, so that is fairly disappointing. It also has a slight delay, which isn't detrimental. For instance, when I flip my hand up to see the watch face, it takes ~2 seconds to show. When I flip the bezel to the next screen to see steps, it takes ~2 seconds for the steps to update. Other than those issues the watch is really fun. I like all the features. I use the calling/texting/talking feature rarely but it is great for things like when I'm out in the garden and want to answer a quick call.

Let's try this again as my first review was denied. I purchased this watch less than one year ago, and while I love the features, the battery is awful. It will not hold a charge. I'm sending it in for repair for the second time this year. Today, the battery dropped from 100% at 7am to 15% by noon while sitting at my desk, unmoving, not using my watch. I've also turned the brightness way down and switched to a black watch face. Nothing helps.

I loved the watch design
i loved the more feminin look of the samsung galaxy. but over time, the rosegold has worn to a golden. the swivel of the bezzle doesnt always work, which i find irritating and time consuming. i work in the dental detting, and maybe now the extra layers of ppe accelerated the demise of this once adored gadget.

Samsung watch
first, i bought my watch on amazon, renewed, for about half the price due to being used. secondly, the battery life is no where near what the claims are. i use mine for easy viewing on the health app and basically to see what time it is and what i have coming up for work. i do not enjoy how hard it is to stream music, i am not a spotify user. i cant use pandora, amazon, youtube. basically you have to stream from your phone and the purpose of the watch for me was to be less tethered to my phone. now i love the look and what i can do with the watch. yes i can switch to the data version and get more out of it but i do not use it enough away from my phone to justify the spend. i wish the apps supported more face options that were hybrid style so the clock face with steps and calendar

this watch is great but don’t get the rose gold finish. the finish does not last long enough to justify this purchase. this is my second samsung watch and i am back to wearing my old one. don’t do it. loads of customer complaints. i do not wear perfume and am very careful with it yet the discolartion is awful.

Great Watch, Accessories and Service Disappoint
i love the watch. i upgraded from an s2 that finally died. within a month of owning the watch, the charging dock just stopped working. i tried opening a ticket by calling in to the samsung warranty line, but that ticket never went anywhere. never got a response. so, i then tried doing one online. i got the automated first response, but never anything past that. i tried making a warranty claim online, but the system kept kicking me out and to call samsung. so, i did. i got passed around and never really got any help. my watch charges fine using my phone to charge it, its just the charger is poop. and the service to go through warranty has not helped me at all.

800 CHARACTERS IS NOT ENOUGH!
i have had issues with the last few samsung devices that i've owned, but my watch breaking & then samsung trying to charge me 200 dollars to fix it is the last straw.
i work in a pool. i have used my watch in water lock mode with zero issues for 8 months now. i would always eject the water. because i loved my watch.
it rebooted on me while i was in the water at work. it was in wlm, but it rebooted & shut that off. once i saw it rebooting, i took it off. it did not take in a lot of water. the watch would be fine if it didn't reboot. why did it reboot? that is the problem.
the second i mentioned water though, they saw a way out of the warranty, & didn't actually look for the real problem. probably just tried to turn it on & said it was water damage.

does what i need it to and more worth it
i originally bought it to have something that measures my heart rate and after seeing pricing on my options i decided i wanted all the fancy features so i bought this. it tracks my heartrate well i love that it gives me a graph over the day. i have not gotten samsung pay to work my card gets declined everytime but i think that has something to do with my bank. but it was a really fun experience to download galaxy watch studio and make my own watch face i love that its even an option. thank you samsung for making a good product. you've made a really good impression on me considering this is the first samsung device i have ever purchased.

Was great for a year, now barely works
i really enjoyed this watch for about a year until it recently started crapping out on me. the screen has become unresponsive at random times, difficulty connecting to my phone, the battery barely lasts a few hours after charging, etc. not sure if its due to a recent update or if the quality is so bad they only last a year but i expect more from samsung. very disappointed, don't waste your money.

Another Samsung Fail
like everything samsung i loved the watch at the beginning. it worked great out of the box but once the warranty was about to be up it started having issues. it started freezing all the time. i contacted samsung and they gave me steps to try to fix it which did nothing. now lately the watch has been very slow in responding and showing notifications. the outside rose gold finish has changed and the brushed finish has worn off in spots around the side of the watch face. at first sight it looks dirty and smudged but the finish has actually changed. samsung tells me that i have to pay money for them to look at the watch and fix. i took a risk buying another samsung product after a faulty washer and microwave.

Needs Better Battery Life
i was really excited to get this watch and found it very lovely. the life of the battery was lousy! i did not keep it "on" and if i didn't charge the watch every night it would have died in the middle of the next day. how is this tracking sleep, since i had to take it off every night to charge?
also, the selection of fitness seemed limited for my needs. i ice skate and nothing came close to how my little fitbit tracked my skating. there needs to be program for skating as everyone doesn't just walk,, run,, swim,, or bike!!
i returned my galaxy and went back to a fitbit where i know the battery life lasts a week at least!

Good product, has virtually no flaws
overall i recomend anyone who may think they will like this. i was not one to get new tech but this i dare say was actually worth it. i bought it on amazon, and when it got here i put it on and now i never take it off except to charge. i put it to constantly take my heart rate, and the battery lasts one day with enough to last the majority of the 2nd, on a brighter brightness. the only issue i have had with it is that the turn your wrist to turn on the display doesn't work all the time, but it makes sense since everyone probably does that a little bit different.

Poor Quality Product
i've had my watch for less than a year, and a month ago, the sensor on the back of the watch came off. i've only used the watch as it was intended, to track workouts and daily steps. once the sensor came off, i could not charge the watch and eventually it shutoff and i could not turn it back on. i've been advised by samsung that they can't help me unless i pay $250. poor quality product should not cost as much as i paid. this is unacceptable and i'll never buy another samsung product.

Inaccurate Heart rate fitness tracking
This device looks awesome on my wrist but its fitness tracking is highly in accurate, specially its auto sleeping feature which logs my train commute as sleeping lol. I would only recommend this to someone who's just looking for a watch to show notifications and text's etc..
This is not for gym goers. This watch gets crazy HR measurements when you sweat and highly inaccurate steps and millage when you run.
FYI: I am on the latest software.

A smart wearbale gadget: Gear S3
I always stayed with Samsung right from the day they started marketing smart watches. So I may compare this one to my current unit "Gear- frontier".
packaging
I am little disappointed with the form factor of this packaging compared to the previous versions that came in a nice Beer Can kind of design. This is just another box that failed to impress me.
Smart Watch - Looks
The watch itself looks pretty neat though looks little smaller compared to my existing "Gear Frontier" , also the gear shaped dial is now a smooth version with more feminine design. Straps are much better in quality compared to the previous versions. No changes in terms of charging station, adapter and the cord.
Functionality
The display is smaller so expect difficulty in reading notifications , battery level and other info that appear on the screen. processing speed seems to be much better compared to Gear- Frontier. Display resolution did not appear to have any improvements while viewing a picture but this watch definitely far superior in terms of User Interface . Especially when it comes to Samsung Pay, punching in your PIN is way to easier than previous model. Samsung has listened to all those customers who had tough time entering the PIN on Gear S Frontier / Classic models. Has faster response to your S health aspects but lacks the accuracy in heart rate monitor. The GPS chip on this seems to be more powerful and accurate compared to Frontier. On the other hand, Frontier has more powerful speaker if you use it for answering phone calls or listen to (!) music. The menu icons look pretty neat and polished on this watch. The battery life on this watch is way better than Frontier with similar usage on both. That alone should make some one to go for this gadget.
Bottom Line
It is a decent smart watch with good battery life. It did loose 1 star on my review due to inaccurate heart rate monitor. I tested several times on both watches and Frontier gave me more closer readings to a medical grade heart rate monitor. I have will contact Samsung to see whether this particular watch has a defective HR monitor. Otherwise it is a nice gadget that also turns out to be a fashion statement. people who do not mind smaller fonts, bezel and display, should go for it. Samsung's technology consistently proven to be innovative.
While recording the video my phone MIC encountered an issue . I realized it only after completing the video, Sorry . I did add the audio again on you tube channel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Horrible battery life.
With screen turned off and most things disabled and minimal use, I get only about a day. Samsung health is a battery hog and you can't disable it which sucks. I only care about HR and sleep tracking. Floors and steps are not properly tracked and a waste of time. Even HR is hit and miss. You shouldn't need to have multiple chargers scattered around to make sure you can make it through a day. What good is a watch you're scared to use for fear of running out of battery. Disappointing!

Love this watch!
I have this watch for weeks now, and i have been loving wearing it everyday! Easy to set up, followed the instructions, and connected to my phones bluetooth and worked instantly! Never encountered a problem. The battery life is superb! I don’t mind charging it after at least 1 day or so of use. I like the sleep and health tracking feature of the watch it keeps me active! The Widgets and Being able to change the background is my favorite. I probably change my background display everyday lol. This watch is not only keeping me healthy with the steps and work out feature, i like the apps features it includes. I am able to receive emails, texts and calls. For a busy mom like me this is definitely made my life easier. I can get a hold of anybody if my phones happen to be in the deep part in my diaper bag! So easy to use and i am loving it! Pedometer doesn't work
I bought this watch a week ago. I previously owned the S2, which worked perfectly fine, so i'm kind of disappointed I purchased this one.
Bluetooth works good. All my calls and texts come through.
If you're purchasing for looks, then you'll love it! But, if your purchasing for the pedometer or heart rate, you will be disappointed. I have counted my steps going from one room to another, but the watch says 0. I will even get the "inactive for almost an hour" notification, when I've been mobile the whole time! I work in a fast pace environment, i'm always moving. It's disappointing when you have worked 12 hours, and it has only counted 2,000 steps.
I wish I would have waited to purchase so the kinks could've been worked out.

Great watch until update.
I bought this watch 3 months ago and it worked great. Did an update about 3 days ago and it messed with the battery and now it won't stay charged. I exchanged it for another one, which also worked great. I was forced to do the update and now the new watch, that I have had for 2 days, is doing the same. Other than that issue I think it is a great watch.

Its good except...
It's a good watch except it's not accurate when walking around the house. I have stairs and most days it doesn't pick up me walking up and down them when I do it multiple times a day. It also doesn't count my step accurately. I'm disappointed in that. It does fine when I'm out on a walk, but not when I'm in my own home doing chores and walking around.

My favorite smartwatch for Android
I've been using my Galaxy Wach for a few weeks, and have really enjoyed the experience so far. I've owned several smartwatches over the past few years, including a Moto 360, Apple Watch, Samsung Gear S3, and Fitbit Versa. The Galaxy Watch is my favorite one yet! Not only is it the best looking watch I've owned, it's the most user friendly. I appreciate the smaller size (the Gear S3 was heavy and massive on my wrist), and the rotating bezel is by far the greatest way to navigate a smartwatch. I like the Tizen OS, and it runs smoothly and looks beautiful. There aren't a lot of quality 3rd party apps available for the Galaxy Watch, but those that are built into the OS offer everything I need. I've never felt like I was missing out on anything by not having a bigger selection of 3rd party apps.
I use my Galaxy Watch's fitness tracking nearly every day. It has the ability to track dozens of different workouts, and does so very well. It even accurately tracks my runs via its built in GPS. If I have one complaint regarding the fitness tracking, it's that heart rate tracking suddenly stops a few minutes into my workout, and doesn't start again for up to 10 minutes later. Another complaint I have is that the Watch's sleep stacking has never detected my deep sleep stage. Both of these issues seem related to the devices heart rate tracking software, and I'm really hoping they can be fixed via a future update. This is the only thing keeping me from giving the watch 5 stars.
The bottom line is that this is a fantastic smartwatch, and probably the best you can currently get that's compatible with an Android phone. It's also a great fitness tracker, and despite a couple of bugs, this is my favorite of any smartwatch I've ever owned

Beautiful watch that's almost perfect
I upgraded from the Gear S2 Classic and I love that the phone speaker is added back into the Galaxy watch. It's a bit bigger but still fits my wrist nicely. The operating system is fast and smooth and battery life is great!
My only complaint is that the pedometer is not very accurate. It undercounts steps by about 200-500/day. Out of the box it was undercounting by several thousand but a software update and reset made it much better.

The "real" smart watch
Another wonderful Samsung product. As an owner of the previous generation of this Galaxy watch I can appreciate the new inside the watch and outside the watch upgrades and it it a lot. I've been biased to Samsung products because of their high quality and innovation that makes them special and this watch is not different. Slim and elegant, battery life is extraordinary and can last easily for 3 days with regular use that includes daily active exercise for an hour or so. Durable and scratch resistant which sets it apart from other competitors. Even the small speaker is wonderful, loud enough to enjoy music and phone calls without headphones. It works on both Android and apple products so it does not limit your choices. The stress measurement feature is an amazing addition, it works perfectly and would help those with high blood pressure and stress levels to take a step back and relax. Water proof to 50 meters, and a lot (meaning really a lot) of exercise options both indoors and outdoors. All together, the best smart watch available current, highly recommended.

Not what I thought
I like this watch but I do not love it. I got the bluetooth version because at the time there was not an Att version. With the bluetooth version you pretty much have to have your phone on you at all times. The range is not great at all. I have had an apple watch I can't help but compare it to that. There a few other things I would like to change as well but overall the watch is okay.

The Best Smart Watch
I have been using my Galaxy Watch for a couple weeks now and it is great. By far it is the best Smart Watch I have ever used. Setup was incredibly easy as it general daily use. I love the sleek look and how comfortable it is to wear, not to forget to mention it is Military- grade so incredibly durable. It makes daily life easier with notifications directly to my wrist and the ability to make calls without having my phone in my hand and it is even easier to track fitness and sleep, meaning I can get rid of my previous device I used for these things only, and now have one main hub for all my information. I can’t see myself going back to life without wearing it and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch Smart Watch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Out of the box disappointment as fitness tracker
Christmas present to myself to replace UGLY but highly functional fitbit Surge. The sole purpose was to have an attractive tracker that I could rely on during workouts & a watch. Not sure what the 5 star reviewers are doing differently to make theirs work. Giving it a few more days with the surge on the other wrist to see if it "learns" -fingers crossed. If not, its going back until I'm convinced the watch will actually function as promoted by Samsung & other so called unbiased tech reviewers (hmmmm). Photo shows surge with comparable steps but it was off for a few hours; it should show way less steps than Galaxy. Will redo review in 1 week if i see improvements.

Problematic
I bought this watch. All I have to say is, great watch! It is totally worth the features, especially with Samsung's new One UI. But, there is a problem. The problem is that whenever my Galaxy Watch dies, and I charge it back up, I cannot connect to it. No matter what I do, including re-pairing. The only thing that works apparently is completely resetting the watch. Very un-convinient. Hopefully I can get this fixed...

Beautiful watch but has problems
My boyfriend bought me this watch and it's absolutely beautiful. I was so excited to open it up and start using it. I usually wear a fitbit but I wanted something that was more aesthetically pleasing. The first night I wore it to bed, the battery died in the middle of the night. The next night it didn't die, but it tracked my sleep for almost 24 hours. I turned it off and back on and it was at 96% battery life before I went to bed. I woke up this morning and it had died again.

More than a timepiece
The first you notice about the watch is how easy it synced up to the galaxy s10. The ability to change face on the watches was very cool. I was able to match my alumni colors. I have teat the health and fitness. The watch is able to detect your workouts. The ability to measure your heart rate after a stressful day at work comes in handy. I have been able to get about 2 day batterlife the first week, but I have it in constant use. I have been answering calls and text messages throughout the day . I guess my favorite thing the watch does is the ability to download playlist from Spotify, I don't have to take my phone to the workout area. I put galaxy buds in sync w watch and enjoy a workout. I would reccomend this watch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lacking in heartrate and steps accuracy.
I have had a fit bit and a vivofit watch. Both of these watches provided me with heartrate accuracy that I would check with my pulse oximeter and the steps were the same distance. I really liked how the Fitbit Blaze showed my sleep scheduce compaired to the galaxy watch. I have been EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of accuracy in the heartrate and steps with the galaxy watch. A normal day for me at work is 5 miles and it's not uncommon for me to have a 7 mile day. The most I have recorded on my galaxy watch is 3 miles. The watch does NOT add stairs. I did a reset on the phone and it fixed a few of the problems I have been having. I am still waiting for the watch to stay lit for 30 seconds while I count a respiratory rate on my patients. This is frustrating. I ask for the watch to stay on all the time and it doesn't.
I do, however, like how I can text and talk on the phone. I recently added the navigation to the watch and love that feature. I have requested to return the watch because I really want accuracy in the heart rate and steps too. I am sad about this because there are a lot of features I really like about the watch. When I go to my cardiologist, I want to be able to provide him accurate numbers. I surely hope my resting heartrate when sleeping isn't 38. That is a 10 beat drop. My heartrate increases by doubles when I start walking according to the watch, but when I check with my pulse ox it's only 80 not 130.

I picked up this Galaxy Watch and it has not been off my wrist except to charge. Battery life is roughly little over two days in my usual habits. Comfortable easy to change strap makes it easy to change up the look. I have used this when swimming with no problems with the water resistance. Interesting quirk I have noticed is that when the screen comes on and shows the watch face is that you will hear a faint ticking seconds hand noise until the screen turns off. Angle the watch around and will notice that the watch face will have “shadows” going around the screen like if you were looking at a regular watch. This feature was not on my previous Gear S3 even with the same software update and OneUI. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

What a fantastic tool. I am calling it a tool because simply calling it a watch would not do it justice. I use it for tracking all vitals and stats while exercising, sleeping, stress levels. For work I use the calendar which syncs seamlessly across all my products. For personal, I have another calendar for kids events and what nots. The battery life is fantastic, going on day 3 and still have 44% with constant usage. Its so nice to not have to lug my phone around when in my back yard with the kids and can simply get a text or phone call from my wrist. I definitely give this product 10 thumbs up :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Pedometer NOT Accurate
Purchased Galaxy Watch Rose Gold from Best Buys on 22 Oct 18. Beautiful watch...sad that the pedometer is "highly" INACCURATE". At the end of the day, watch shows only 1939 steps, while my trusty old pedometer shows 4526. Compared watch steps with another phone pedometer to be fair. Galaxy Watch will not show all steps. . .as if not coming out of sleep mode first thing in the morning or after sitting still for awhile. Read SAME complaints on inaccurate pedometer on Samsung forums. I tried doing ALL the suggestions posted and from Samsung helpline to no avail: resetting watch to factory settings and turning OFF elliptical and rowing modes. I can't believe how many negative complaints I've read on the inaccurate pedometer with one customer returning up to 3 watches since the pedometer did not work. I would think the Samsung programmers that designed the watch would want to work on a "fix" and send the update to justify keeping their jobs. Sad that my first watch I purchased in 2014 "Samsung Gear S" worked well tracking steps. Not sure why the technology would go backwards.

Everything on my wrist
This watch is completely amazing. It not only allows me to track things like steps and water consumption, but it allows me to access so many things on my phone conveniently through the watch. I love that you can changecthe interface to reflect your style. It is a plus that it is seeatproof because I run and use the fitness features. I find the bezel very easy to use and the sensitivity adjust is helpful. I have been trying to track my sleep and thecwatch assisted me with that, as well. One of the simplest, but most helpful aspects is the way that I can see new emails quickly and ai don't have to fumble around at my fast-paced work environment. That leads to counting my steps... I really like tyat I can basically track my physical productivity even while at work. The watch, as a whole is very impressive and is definitely my style aesthetically. I love everything about it and has really helped get myself more organized. This would make a great gift. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great watch, barely one day battery.
Watch is great, connects flawlessly, has a beautiful screen, and despite some reviews to the contrary the fitness tracker works pretty well. Steps counted were only off by about 5%. However I was extremely disappointed by the battery. I bought the phone in hopes that it would last at least a couple days. It lasts about 15 hours with, what I would call, average use. I do not use it non-stop. It will last 4 days maybe if you scale back all the color, notifications and any other bells and whistles. Whats the point if I have to do that! Maybe I got a bad watch battery, but I'm thinking lower your expectations for a battery that lasts for days.

Nice for Simplicity but not for a Techy
Its one of the nicer looking smart watches but it has its pros and cons.
Pros:
Sleek look. Battery life is better than other watches. As with most samsung products, customization is the best part. Phone calls are crystal clear. Phone relay and wifi profile syncing are highlights so you can use the watch even if youve left your phone behind.
Cons:
Heavy on the wrist. Bixby is under developed so texting with bixby is a nuisance. Bixby doesnt recognize many features outside of calls and weather as compared to a galaxy phone. The battery life is not 4 days as advertised; I use the bare minimum and when taken off the charger at 100% my battery life says 1 day and 5 hours remaining. You have to find setting deep within the apps so there are always things running to slow down the watch.
Overall good watch if you are looking for simplicity, but a true techy may find more joy with apple watches. Watch is heavily reliant on bixby which is so underdeveloped that the price of the watch is a bit much since its not as advanced as an apple watch.... although its much better than any of the designer smart watches on the market

The Bluetooth could use some work
I bought this at the new year because I needed a watch that was waterproof for swimming. I have been swimming in a chlorine pool every day for a month and a half and have not had any troubles. I don't need a ton of apps and features in my watch, but there are plenty of options with the Galaxy, I don't know how you could find fault in that aspect. My number one and biggest complaint is the Bluetooth connectivity distance. With this being the 4th generation of smartwatch from Samsung, I really expected more in this department. I can't walk 10 feet away from my phone before the watch disconnects from it, while my mom who has competitors watch can leave her phone in her truck in the garage and go to do laundry in her basement while still carrying on a phone conversation.
Looking past the Bluetooth issue, I use this watch every day, all day and have been very pleased. I really like the S Health reminders to get up a move if you've been sedentary for too long, and the push notifications are extremely reliable. I much prefer the round face of the Galaxy line compared to it's competitors because I really like the look of a traditional watch. I was worried about how high it would sit from my wrist, but I hardly notice the thickness of it and people often compliment it.

My first smartwatch!
This is my first smartwatch and I'm really enjoying it so far. I do think that the 42mm is a bit big for my wrist (I'm a 5'1", petite female) but I'll get used to it. It's also a lot thicker than most of my other watches. I do like all the bells and whistles and all the fun ways you can customize it. My only complaint is that I can't get my text messages to come to the watch. I've read several forums and tried a few things but to no avail. I will keep trying to get that to work. Other than that, I'm very happy with this watch. It's attractive, innovative and all the health monitoring is quite accurate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great for health tracking
It's great for tracking your health and fitness. And that's it. Not many app options unlike competitors ( i.e Twitter and other social apps). Keyboard option that can be used by moving the face of the watch would be a suggestion.

Beautiful watch - could use some improvements
Overall, I do like this watch. It looks great and I like receiving my notifications on it, especially when I'm out and about. I also love the ability to quickly reply via speech to text when I'm busy. I'm pretty satisfied with the notifications.
I also like the sleep tracking, calendar, alarms, etc. It's nice to have these things so easily accessible.
I haven't had any issues with the battery like some have mentioned in reviews. I can use my watch for up to 3 days without having to charge it.
My biggest complaint is that you can't be very far from your phone and stay connected. I got this watch with the intent of not being so tethered to my phone. I'm always afraid to miss a call from my child's school when I'm not near my phone and had hopes that this watch would solve that problem, however I can only be a few feet away from my phone before it disconnects.
Like others have said in the reviews, the pedometer seems highly inaccurate. After a day of running errands, my watch showed only 64 steps.
Again, overall I like the watch, but there are definitely some features that could be improved upon.

My Time with the Galaxy
I have owned several different Samsung watches the Gear 2 Neo being my first. I have had the pleasure of using the 42mm Bluetooth version of Galaxy Watch for the past couple of weeks. Upon opening the box I must say that initially I was disappointed with the watches size. My previous watch the Gear S3 Frontier is 46mm I know what you are thinking it's only 4mm larger but in this case that is a fairly sizable difference. Wearing the 42mm watch for a couple of weeks now has helped change my initial opinion.
Day to Day Usage
My usage can very from day to day. The best part of this watch for me is not having to pick up my phone to do everything the watch makes a nice extension of my phone.
I communicate with my friends and family using hangouts and I must admit despite the smaller size of this watch I have no issues reading my messages. Now when it comes to responding I really like the fact that I can just draw the letters directly on the screen. This may seem like it would be more time consuming at first blush but it took hardly anytime to get used to this way of responding to messages. The ability to answer my phone on the watch has come in handy more times then I can count. The people I have spoken to say that my voice comes over loud and clear on their end and the watches speakers are plenty loud enough.
Health and Fitness
I really dont utilize these particular functions that often periodically using it to check my heart rate or my amount of steps I have walked.
Battery
Now I anticipated this watch to last about the same amount of time as my Gear S3 but I would say the Galaxy Watch actually lasts about 25% longer for my usage purposes.
Bluetooth
This works about the same for me as the Gear S3 which is fine. I can walk through my house without losing connection to my phone which is all I need.
Samsung Pay
I only used this option to test and it worked just fine. It's not something I will really use but it's a nice option to have.
I must say I am heavily entrenched in the Samsung ecosystem so one of my favorite items to use is my dual wireless charger where I can charge my phone and watch simultaneously. I cannot recommend it to any users like myself.
This watch is a definite must for any multitaskers on the go. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Beautiful watch if it would function right
I bought the pre-order and it has not counted steps or tracked my blood pressure during a workout right since I got it. This is a known issue that Samsung is in no hurry to fix, it seems. The watch is beautiful and I would love it if Samsung would actually fix this aspect. I like all of the other features but if fitness tracking is your thing, you may want to skip this generation or wait to see if Samsung actually cares enough to fix it. Very Impressive
I have been a fan of the Galaxy watches sknce they first hit the market. I had the first and second generation watches and held out for the current fourth generation and I am completely happy, shocked by the battery life, and amazed by the style and quality. The battery lasts much longer than my previous watches. I have had my watch for about a week and I have received so many compliments about the style and design. I like the ease of use and converting over your existing apps.

SUPER DISAPPOINTED
I was so excited to get this phone and then all my excitement went away. The design is beautiful, love the look of a real watch. My disappointment is from the lack of Google apps. I use Google for practically everything so this amazes me that there are no Google apps available for the watch. I am now highly considering returning the watch and getting a wear OS smartwatch.

Great but not worth the upgrade
For those of you who already own the galaxy gear s3, this galaxy watch does offer some slight improvements. Firstly, it is designed better, the look is sleeker, less rugged and cleaner.
The galaxy watch is also designed to be more waterproof up to 50m vs the 1.5m of the gear s3, although I have certainly gone deeper on the gear s3 including shallow free diving and have yet to have any malfunctioning issues, this certainly gives me more peace of mind.
The most obvious advantage is the highly advertised increased battery life and certainly compared to my years old gear s3 which by now i have to charge nightly, the galaxy watch can go 2-3 days without charging, but it certainly isn't revolutionary and as a matter of routine i end up charging it nightly anyways.
For the casual user the additional exercise tracking modes is not going to make you buy, but for the very advanced serious user who wants to track all the different new excercise modes, this might be worthwhile. In the end, although I like the look and feel of the new galaxy watch, I certainly don't think owners of the gear s3 should upgrade, there just simply are not enough reasons to justify it. Dissapointed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I really want to love this watch
I upgraded from a pebble watch to the samsung watch. So the colors and functions are worlds apart. But I'm sad to say that I already miss my pebble. I enjoy the step counter, heart and stress monitor and the pay feature. But the two main functions I used my pebble for, time and notifications, are the two functions I have a hard time getting. With the time, I have it programmed to turn on when I bring my wrist up. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it's works flawlessly (usually when I'm showing someone how it doesn't work) and most the time the screen stays black. With the notifications there's about a 3 to 5 second delay from the time my phone gets it to the time my watch gets it (with my pebble it was immediate). What makes it more frustrating is the notifications only stays on the screen for a split second then the screen goes black. I have to fight to get screen on, scroll though to my messages to read them. It's almost easier to pull out my phone.

Battery life too short
This is from upgrading from a gear fit 2, I was contemplating the tick watch pro, but me being a long time samsung fan I wanted something samsung to go with my note 8. I got the 46mm at first but it was way too big and didn't like the color style. So I got this 42mm,.. the battery is almost lasting me more than a day compared to my old gear fit 2, But with all the additional nice upgrades turned on, it cuts it in half ..I work two jobs and it's a inconvenience having to charge this for 1-2 hours In between just to have it last me all day, and hopefully take my sleeping stats..if it hasn't died by then.
I wish samsung would have made a all black version of the 46mm and Improved the functionality of the 42mm to improve battery life. I would of settled with the 46mm.
And FYI, if you like getting pictures and video displayed on Your watch, some apps like WhatsApp and Facebook won't show pictures or video on the watch and would ask you to "check your phone" .

Gorgeous watch but horrible battery life
This is my first wearable and I was so excited to finally get one! There are so many things I love about this watch but all of that gets washed away because of the battery. I have had this for about a week now and have to charge it EVERY SINGLE DAY, I have all my settings changed from factory default in order to reduce the battery usage but it hasn't made a difference. I am seriously considering returning this and waiting until they can resolve the battery life issue.... maybe the next model will be better. (I don't want to get the larger 46mm watch as I'm very dainty and have small wrists, this 42mm is big enough). Other than that I really do love the watch, it's beautiful! I was really looking forward to the sleep tracking but that drains the battery even faster.

Amazing smartwatch
Being my first smartwatch and having worn traditional watches for decades, I was leery of the benefits. After a week with the watch, I could not be happier with the Samsung Watch 42mm. I have small wrists for a guy so I selected the smaller watch face and it fits very well. The watch height was a worry with the online reviews I've read but surprisingly, it's slimmer than my normal Casio G-shock watch. The included watch bands are flexible and comfortable to wear, without irritating the skin.
Having a Samsung Note 9, I didn't have any issues with pairing the phone. It took merely seconds to pair the phone, set it to leave my phone unlocked when my watch is paired and also with Samsung Pay(more below). To make the heart-rate function more accurate, be sure to wear the watch slightly away(about a finger width) from your wrist. It took me two tries to find the sweet spot for a fit. I found the included features for heart beat, steps and fitness hints to stay in motion beneficial throughout the day.
Battery life is better than I expected as I only thought I would get a single day of charge out of the watch. I receive a lot of emails and calls but have been surprised with the 2 day life for the watch before I need to charge it. I also tend to leave the brightness a little lower than the stock setting and leave the watch face to only be on when I move my wrist or press a button. The lower brightness is still very easy to read in very sunny days without straining.
Samsung Pay is easy with my phone and even easier with the Samsung Watch! Just hold down the button and it activates Samsung Pay. Select the card you want to use and hold the watch over the sensor and you're done. It's faster than getting my phone out of my pocket and unlocking it to use Samsung Pay.
Downsides to the watch: If you're used to having a watch on all the time to read it, the life is shorter. I found it to be closer to a day and a half with all my notifications going on all the time. For emails, you can get the general header but not a lot of the text so don't expect to read entire emails on it. Think of it as a heads up function rather than a fully functional reader. Text messages are very easy to read but you can only have short responses from the watch as well. I did not opt for the 4G version of the watch since I always prefer to use my phone for calls. Bluetooth pairing for the watch does drain the battery life of my phone more but still average 16 hours on the phone. Overall I love the watch and could not be more impressed with my first smartwatch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great features
The features are great. I love being able to get picture texts on my watch. It also gives me the option to get so many different notifications. It is great to be able to reply to messenger messages from the watch. I do wish that it gave more options for exercise such as aerobics and calisthenics. I haven't been able to get the heart monitor to work. I honestly thing it is because my wrist is so small. I also haven't been able to get the weather services to work. It won't find my location. I have tried this several times. Overall this is great for the running around I do. It is nice not to have to have my phone on me to answer the phone or replay to a message. Remaining Optimistic
Haven't even had the opportunity to pair my S9+ to it yet, and the watch stopped recording my HR and the Samsung Health app continues to freeze up. In the past day I have noticed it randomly freezing up and the battery draining faster than normal. Needless to say, I'm disappointed in the short time it took to for so many issues to occur. Hopefully a software update will be available soon to correct these issues.

Satisfied, not at all impressed
I've had this watch for about a month now and overall I'm pleased with it. I like the look, I'm satisfied with the battery life, and appreciate many of the features available. On the downside, there's less customizability (unless you don't mind paying for it) than I anticipated and certain basic watch features are not included. Additional apps must be installed for functions like timers, a stopwatch, etc. which I find ridiculous. According to the reviews I've looked through, they're not even worth trying so I've been doing without. Also, I hate that when using navigation apps on my phone it doesn't show on the watch, which is something I appreciate in an android wear watch I have. And apps like Pandora aren't supported on the watch either. Much to be improved.

Galaxy Watch 42mm
I've been a smartwatch fan since they first came out. I owned several different models of Android Wear devices, and while being very helpful, I always thought the experience could be better. Enter the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
I originally thought I has ordered the 46mm (as that is similar to the size I was used to) but when it arrived it was the 42mm. At first this was disappointing, but I quickly realized that this was a wonderful mistake to have made. The size is much more akin to a normal watch, without being so big and bulky on my wrist. But the size was just the beginning.
I semi-recently became a Samsung fan after purchasing the Note 8 in 2017. And they did it again with the Galaxy Watch. The interface is easy to use, highly configurable, and smooth as silk. The number one thing that I like more than previous smartwatches is the rotating bezel. It makes navigation so much easier and intuitive rather than clumsily smashing the touchscreen to get what I want out of the watch. And widgets - where have you been all my smartwatch life?! Quick and easy access to the information I want and need with a quick turn of the bezel makes the productivity nerd in me smile. :)
The integration with core Samsung services is also excellent, especially Samsung Health. The watch is literally a second screen for my phone, which is what a smartwatch should be.
Battery life is also amazing. Other devices have been lucky to get through the day on a charge, but this watch will go for at least 2 even with all battery draining options turned on (wifi, always on, etc). I prefer to have the watch face always on, in part to be a little more stealth in the fact that it is a smartwatch. This usually attributes to a huge battery drain, but even with this turned on I am getting great longevity out of this watch.
I've only had the watch for a handful of days, but I could NOT be happier with this purchase. Samsung: you have a fan for life. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Every second counts
What can I say, Samsung does it again with the revolutionary Samsung Galaxy Watch. What I want to say about this product is the marriage between the device and the user interface is a beautiful unison. It makes it very responsive and easy on the eyes. I have been using this watch for about a good 2 weeks now and it has proven to live up to its duties. The battery life is phenomenal as I start my days at 6am and end around 5pm. As soon as I'm home I roughly have around 40% left. The material of the watch band is very comfortable as it does not irritate me compared to other smart watch bands. What really blew my mind was the ability to use it in the water. As someone that enjoys to swim and exercise that way, the ability to track my workout is great for laps. The watch also has a really cool feature where it will force the water out using the sound to vibrate the watch to make the trapped water escape.
My only problem with the watch was Samsung decided to take away the MST feature that was included in prior models of the watch. This was my favorite part of the watches. But I guess more places are adopting NFC paying abilities so I guess it's understandable.
Overall, this is another great product towards the future so long as they improve the battery and UI along with innovating tech that will push us to be better versions of ourselves. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great watch
No issues, it does everything I expected it to do. I mainly use it for counting steps and measuring my heart rate while working out.
I love the different watch faces, there's one that's really helpful for keeping track of my schedule throughout the day.
I wear it all day (take it off at night) and it lasts at least 3 days before I need to charge it.

Great Looking and Very Functional!
I was thrilled to receive my Galaxy Watch and couldn't wait to get it charged up and start learning all about it! I've had the original Galaxy Gear Watch and the Gear Fit 2 and I've got to say, the features of this new watch are beyond anything that I'm used to. For me, the fact that you can pay with Samsung Pay, right from the watch is one of the best features. Although, I thought the fact that you have to re-set up all of your cards in the watch was a bit cumbersome. You'd think there would be a way to just import them from the connected phone. At any rate, now that I'm set up, I use it all the time.
I love the fact that I can quickly answer text messages from the watch, without having to take out my phone. This is especially handy in meetings. I haven't actually tried to answer a call from the watch yet.
I also use the calendar feature all the time. Again, it's nice to be able to quickly check your calendar without having to actually take out your phone. I've tried the Bixby assistant a few times, with mixed results. It seems like sometimes it doesn't "hear" you until you are halfway through what you are telling it. It might just be a technique thing and I will continue experimenting with this app.
I've gotten several compliments on how good the watch looks. In fact, several people in my office are considering getting one after asking me about the watch and it's function and features. I love the choice of watch faces and how you can easily change to fit your mood that day or match what you are wearing.
I like the way it tracks steps, floors climbed and your pulse. It helps me challenge myself on a daily basis.
The one negative is that I haven't been able to get multiple days out of a battery charge, like is mentioned. I have to charge mine every night. I may have to experiment with optimizing some settings to make this happen---still learning!
Overall, I love this watch and will continue to discover things about it. I still have yet to use the workout apps and the music app, but will keep exploring. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Beautiful Design! Great Features
I pre-ordered my Galaxy Watch because of the sleek design and functionality. I love never missing a call or text while walking through the mall or working around my house. Connectivity is fast and easy. I have even made a call by accident but was pleased with the clarity and quality of the call.

Got hooked when my husband and I got the S2, about 3 years ago. Just got the Galaxy Watch in black two days ago and love it just as much. The S2 is still kicking but battery life was starting to become unreliable FOR MY LIFESTYLE...dying around 8pm each day. Love the much clearer screen, easy bezel movement and overall feel of the new Galaxy Watch.

Horrible Smartwatch
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch about a week ago. The battery life is horrible. I had an ASUS Smartwatch wich was poorly made. The ASUS Smartwatch had many more functions than the Samsung Galaxy Watch. With the ASUS Smartwatch the screen was always on. I used the Smartwatch functions all day and the battery was still at 90% after a month. I cannot use any function on my Samsung Smartwatch because the battery doesn't last not even one day. All I use is the time. If I want to leave the time on all the time I get anout 2 hours of Battery life. If I want to use the full lineup of functions on my Smartwatch I get half a day of Battery Life.
Samsung states on their website that the watch should last for days on a single charge. This is total nonsense. Samsung used to make Great Products. Not anymore. Their products are getting worse and worse.

Awesome device and looks like a real watch
Not only does the Galaxy watch give you metrics of your activities, but thanks to the brilliant third party modders, you can make your watch look like any vintage you want. It measures heart rate randomly, tells you to exercise and displays text messages. As long as your phone is on the same wifi network, it will even let you listen to music without requiring your phone to be nearby [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Really nice product
I have had this for a little less than a month. I still use my Gearfit, but I like this when I want to be dressier. It is a very pretty piece. It has all the features plus some extras the Gearfit doesn't. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I don't think it tracks steps as well as my Gearfit, which is important to me. I really like it though and would suggest it to anyone who tracks their health and wants a little classier looking tracker.

Big disappointment as a fitness tracker :(
Christmas present to myself to replace UGLY but highly functional fitbit Surge.

I love my watch
The Galaxy watch is definitely user friendly. This watch is easy to setup, easy to connect to my note 8 with the Samsung Galaxy wearable app, and is easy to use. Battery life is good. The watch went about 48 hours before needing to be charged. This watch has some great features and has made my life a little bit easier. Some of my favorite features are the changeable watch faces, the accurate step counter/activity tracker, sleep monitor, music controls, and being able to send/receive texts, emails, etc. There are plenty of free and fun watch faces to choose from. I like to change the face based on my vibe for the day. The activity tracker works great and is more accurate at counting my steps than just using my phone. I love the feature that reminds me to stay active and gives me ideas on easy exercises to do when I'm inactive. The sleep monitor is cool because each morning it tells me how well I slept by breaking down my sleep pattern. It tells me how long I slept and what percentage was REM, light, and deep sleep. I love being able to control my music from my wrist when I'm up and moving. It's also nice to be able to read emails and respond to texts from my wrist while I'm on the go too. I love the daily brief I get each morning telling me what appointments I have and what the weather will be for that day. I love the weather widget. The watch is comfortable to wear and the band is strong and dependable. The watch face is the perfect size for me. Overall I am very satisfied with my watch so far and would definitely recommend this product if you're in the market for an activity tracker/watch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love it but
My husband bought me this for our 14 year anniversary and I absolutely loved it and still do for the most part. But the last update now has it where it doesn't count the floors I go up. I have a 3 storie house and run a home day care. I know I go up and down the stairs all day long we have a total of 47 stairs in my house. But it is stuck on 0 all the time. I have rest my watch and have done everything I can think of and nothing works. This needs to be fixed I have only had it for less than 3 months.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong
Got the watch as a gift and was very excited at first. Had it all of 3 days now and just dosn't live up to what I was expecting. The battery life is the worst I have not been able to go a whole day without charging and it sure doesn't have fast charging. Another problem if I step to far away from my phone its seems to disconnect. As a pervious owner of the gear3 I was expecting something better but I didn't seem to find it in this item

Features don't work as expected
I was very excited when I bought this watch as I thought I would be able to leave my clunky phone at home. I set it up and started to use it. At first impression, I was pleased, but then when I used it more, I found out a lot of the features didn't work as expected.
1) the Samsung smart pay feature doesn't work in most US stores. It only has an NFC chip which not all readers have the capability for. It makes this feature almost useless when you can't even go to the grocery store or something to use it.
2) The fitness tracker is very inaccurate. It measures about 1/2 of the activity I do. I compared it directly on the same wrist as another fitness tracker and it didn't even come close.
3) the talk to text (dictation) feature doesn't get a lot of the words making that not very useful either. I use these features often on other devices and don't have a problem so I don't think it is my speech. I ended up needing to write one letter at a time which takes so much longer. I usually stopped and grabbed my phone instead.
4) vibrations are weak (even on the strong setting). I could have dealt with that if that was the only problem, but it wasn't.
The only good feature I can say I liked was the calling functionality. It worked well and was very clear. If that is all you want it for than it would be a good device for you.
Overall, I would not recommend it if you are looking to use it for the Samsung pay or fitness tracker capabilities. If it is the other features you want, then it might be worth it.

Galaxy watch 42mm
So far everything I've used on this watch does what it's supposed to. I've been in search of a replacement for my original galaxy watch and this is it. I've tried another brand, and that turned out to be a piece of junk within less than a year. I love how the improvements makes it so much easier to stop notifications when at the movies so it doesnt turn on during a really dark scene or how I can do a do not disturb while sleeping during the day(I work nights). I cant necessarily use my phone at work but it's great to have something to quickly see who and what someone text you. I also enjoy the overall improvement of the touch technology where I can snooze or turn off an alarm with non touchscreen friendly gloves at work, major improvement there from previous model. It's great I can go about 4 days before charging, again another great improvement. Overall it does everything i need and hoped for in a smart watch, my only concern, and time will tell if it happens or not, is after 2 years it doesnt hold a charge past 4 hours like my previous galaxy watch did. Very similar to Gear S2
I bought this 15 days ago and the experience has been pretty average. I owned a Samsung Gear S2 before upgrading to this and more or less it feels like the same.
Pros:
* Better display
* Newer design
* Faster response
* Good fitness features/ auto-tracking activities
Cons:
* BATTERY LIFE. Despite what's been advertised, it hardly runs 2 days. I have turned off most of the app notifications and watch face is not set to always ON.
So far I feel I still have the Gear S2. I expected a better job on this one.

Kinda bummed
I was very excited to get this watch. I had been wearing a Gear S2 Classic Rose Gold for the past 2+ years. I thought that I was finally getting the feminine looking update that I have been looking for. Unfortunately I'm disappointed.... Though the battery life on this is slightly better than my S2, it still doesn't hold up to the longevity that was advertised. My BIGGEST ISSUE, the pedometer only logs half the step as my old watch during casual activities like shopping (especially while pushing a cart) and walking from your desk to the copier, bathroom, and even a whole different department. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, I did not base this from a Samsung to Samsung experience! I did in fact use a Fitbit to help confirm my suspicion. I also feel like the text notifications are only working about 75-80% of the time. I didn't get the kind of "I told you so" bragging rights that I had hoped to hand out to my Apple loving family.

Fashionable and efficient
I have been wanting a smart watch for a couple of years now but nothing ever caught my eye. I have been patiently waiting for a smart watch that looked like a watch but did so much more. I held on buying the galaxy watch predecessor because the watch was way to big and very masculine looking. My husband surprised me with my first smart watch with this gold beauty I couldn’t have been more excited. It was a perfect birthday gift. It keeps me on track on my daily fitness goals. I can quickly text without taking my phone out and it displays my day so I keep tack of meetings and deadlines. I receive work emails so I never miss anything.I get about 3 days of battery life which is awesome. I mean people charge their phones everyday so I don’t understand people’s complaints on that. With all that said I have had this watch for a month now and I am enjoying it.

Battery doesnt last
Battery lasts maybe 15 hours. This is not what is advertised. I cant use the wifi feature to get reliable notifications, so what's the point of having the wifi feature? It barely connects over wifi most of the time. Fix the wifi feature and the battery and it would be a good watch.

FALSE ADVERTISING. THIS WATCH IS 0% iOS COMPATIBLE. There’s no message icon because it cannot send or receive texts. It’s supposed to give a notification when a message is received on your phone but it doesn’t even do that. I’m so disappointed in Samsung that they would ruin their reputation by calling this device iOS compatible. It clearly is not.

Beautiful and great functions!
I got the Samsung Galaxy 42mm watch a couple of weeks ago and I can not stop wearing it. The watch itself in rose gold is just beautiful and I have received a lot of compkiments about it. I only take it off once in 2 days to charge it gets fully charged in couple of hours. The watch is very and feels comfortable to wear all day. The watch and band is made of pretty high quality material and You caan also chose from many watch faces.
The watch was very easy to set up with my samsung phone. The notifications and connected apps give me great convenience with not having to take out my phone from the pocket. I keep misplacing my phone all the time and find phone function is a life saver when I am in a rush. I like taking walks and the watch keeps track of my steps pretty well and provides heart rate as well. You can compare your activity and health over time.
There are also a lot of third party apps that you can use swiftly with the watch. I can pay just using samsung pay in my watch as well. Overall a beautiful watch with great function. I can't imagine my activities without this watch! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

#1 Smart Watch
Ok....ok... My first impression after opening up the box the watch cam in was this watch is super lite it was... You see I'm used to watches with some heft to them, but for the 2 or 3 weeks I'm have been wearing the watch I have gotten used to it being to lite that I forget I have it on.
If you own a Galaxy phone then you have to get a Galaxy watch because the two work so well together. I have taken several calls on the watch and they come in pretty clear on both ends. The apps on the watch work pretty good with the apps on the phone....
Pros.
Call clarity, the amount of aftermarket accessories for example watch bands, bezel, watch body and glass protectors, great comparability with Galaxy phones.
Cons
Battery life if you take a phone call on your phone will kill the battery like nothing else.
Aside from the above I charge my phone every night when I go to bed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It took about 3 weeks to get and I placed my order on August 19(Pre-Ordered). So far I like the watch but don't get no more then about 1 1\2 day charge so no you can't go 5 or 7 days without charging your watch. Not a big deal to me as long as it doesn't start dying within hours after being fully charged. Will get the free band toady... that took a month. Samsung need to do better but love their products.

Very impressive
I have many watches. My 1st watch was when i was 5 years old. So i am a very picky watcher ! My husband has the Frontier - he was pretty happy with it, but I was waiting for the Rose watch as I wear mostly Rose Gold jewelry. I can say I am pretty impressed with everything - design, all the options, quality of sound during talking over the watch, notifications, possibility to choose so many wallpapers looking like a real watch, battery lasts very long - almost 3 days for me without charging. It tells me every hours to stand up and be active. Thank you Samsung for making it the color I would always wear! I have the 1st Samsung Gear watch - its very square and limited as it like 4 year old model - I hardly wear it due to design and limited options. But this Rose one is definitely seeing every day action on my end although I own 4 other expensive watches. Thank you again!

My wife's watch
Cant believe in a million years my wife wanted this stylish watch. She absolutely loves it. She gets a ton of calls, texts, and emails on her phone. She loves it so much she bought me the 46 mm one. I just wished it had MST but I guess they didn't have space with the new battery. We both have the note 9 as well. We love Samsung!

I recently purchased this watch and I absolutely love this watch. This watch looks so sharp on your arm. It's versatile as well. I can wear it going to the gym, but also wear it when I go out. I never take this watch off. It's also waterproof, so I wear in the pool and in the shower! I love it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A Watch for every occasion.
I'm very happy with this purchase. I've had a Galaxy S2 Classic smartwatch in the past and this is basically to replace that as I've missed having a smart watch paired with my phone. The unboxing experience was nice, they have updated the charging pad though it is still the wireless charging tech like the older versions. You get two different length silicone style bands. I personally don't like silicone band as I feel they tend to pinch and grab hair or skin too easily. Fortunately, Samsung uses standard sized watch bands so switching band and customizing the look is quick and simple. I don't know if this is common now but on Samsungs bands, they have a little nub attached to the band pin that sticks through the back of the band making it super simple to release the pin with a flick of a fingernail. You can swap their bands in mere seconds, as quickly and easily as changing between digital watch faces allowing you to fully customize your style to suit any mood or occasion. I swapped mine for the leather band off of my old S2 Classic. The Samsung Wearable app is your primary hub for all things related to the watch. It is where you can set up Samsung Pay, download new watch faces, install/update apps/widgets to the watch and check current watch stats. The watch itself still has the standard two button, rotating bezel controls of the older classic watches which makes it simple to use. The display is brighter than older versions but I prefer to keep it at its darkest setting with a high contrast watch face for day to day use extending the battery life to a good 48hrs before needing to charge. I rarely run the battery down below 15% before charging back up. At its lowest brightness, it is nearly unreadable in direct sunlight but it is easy enough to turn the brightness up when in those situations. With brightness turned up you can still expect a full days use before needing to charge. Full disclosure, I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. I'm very happy with this latest version and I enjoyed it so much my girlfriend went out a bought the Rose Gold version for herself at full price and loves it. Best smartwatch as of now..
Got 42mm in black color from local electronics store since 46mm is too bulky and heavy for my taste. Both versions have identical features except battery and screen sizes.
Have been using for last few days and it keeps getting better. Great to receive and send messages, see emails, weather, tracking of various activities(still discovering more), heart rate, sleep pattern details, music, customize widgets such as alarm, on and on.
Cons: Tizen OS lacking apps as of now. Hope to see more and better apps in future.

Battery life
I have worn this watch 2 days. Each day my watch dies at 3pm. I dont take it off charge until 9 am. The battery life sucks. Now I dont even know what time it is and i have 3 more hours at work. In my line of work it is crucial to know what time it is always.

The Right Way to Make a Digital Watch!
I love this watch. I didn't want a smartwatch in the past (I honestly only knew about the Apple Watch), but I've been so pleased with my Galaxy S9+ that of course I had to get the Galaxy Watch! This is how a smartwatch should be. It looks like a fine timepiece, not a very small smartphone strapped to my wrist! I really wanted a watch first when buying this product, not a phone. To my delight, the features are great too. Youtube videos load fast and play fine, Samsung Pay works flawlessly, all my music is on it. All that functionality is in a watch with customizeable digital face thay actually looks like a watch I would want to own if it were an analogue! Oh and the battery life and mini-wirless charger that comes standard... excellent!

Galaxy Watch 46mm rocks!!!
This watch rocks. It is so lightweight compared to other watches. The software integrated with my Galaxy 7 phone and email seamlessly. I absolutely love the watch faces you can put on the watch. Believe the bezel turning is a game changer from other watches. Have been wearing it for 3 days and the battery life is so good - that it shocked me. Watched my wife charge her iWatch and laughed at her compared to my Galaxy watch. Getting ready to put it thru fitness challenges this week. LOVE this Watch. Thank you Samsung once again for making a superior product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Perfect way to stay organized on the go
I bought this recently, and I am extremely pleased with the performance of the watch itself. I bought this to have more accurate account of my daily health, especially with my upcoming procedure. I wished it would stay charged longer, but it is a mini system on my wrist. I'm pleased and this is a is well worth investment. My only real setback is the rubbery silicone band. It wants to cling and grab hold of everything; at times I feel like it's stuck to my skin and irritates it. Thanks goodness it is easy to clean for the most part. There is an easy fix, by buying a new leather or metal band to swap out the rubbery band for.

Product is garbage as a whole
I bought my first 42mm black on Oct 5 2018, with in a week and a half I noticed it not properly counting my steps. My phone said I had 7k steps, my watch barely said I hit 1500. I walked around the house counted the steps and realized that it would count some steps but not all. Contacted Samsung, they wanted me to mail the watch in to them to fix and it would take two weeks before I get it back. Even thought I hadn't even had the watch that long. I simply returned it and got the exact same model watch.
Almost 2-3 weeks later I realized that once again it was slowly declining on the accuracy of my steps.
Also, the pixels on the screen are terrible for any kind of picture, it's like you are looking at a phone from 1999. So don't expect to use this for downloading pictures onto, to refer to later when you can't have your phone. You won't be able to read a document or any type of picture that has font in it.
I returned it and I'm contemplating on completely changing to iOS Apple system instead since Samsung is putting out garbage products compared to apple.

Awesome Watch
I love the look & feel of my Samsung Galaxy Watch but I'm also sad at the same time. I consider myself technology savvy but I just can't get the watch to work with my text messages. If I can ever figure this out I will give the watch 5 stars. I love that I am able to have a conversation through my watch and respond to text messages. I also like that I can set reminders and alarms on the watch. I love that I can change the face of the watch all through the watch. The things I can do with my watch makes my use of the phone limited. I also like that the charger holds the watch while it charges.

Great Upgrade!
I wore a Gear 2 Pro for almost a year, before I made the leap to a "real" smart watch; I am by far, in NO WAY disappointed with my decision!
This is a great product and makes the need to carry your phone in your hand or pocket while traveling, doing work around the house, shopping, etc. unnecessary.
The call clarity has been so good that I actually have surprised people when i tell them i am talking on my watch.
The interchangeable bands also let you dress it up (or down) depending on the event and situation.
Love, love, love!

Inadequate HR Monitor and Caloric Calculator
I've had my watch since November. I noticed that it was prompting me to secure the watch to my wrist for proper HR monitoring when I was already snug on my wrist. With exercise, it would say that I had only burned 100 calories after doing 50 minutes of non-stop intense spinning. The floor calculator would not always register when I would ascend and descend stairs in my home.
The call features and text features worked great!!! I just would like the fitness aspect to be more accurate. Needless to say, I just returned my watch for a full refund the other day. I will have to do more research of other Samsung watches for potential future purchases.

Seamless connectivity and constant accuracy with apps. I like being able to tak and answer calls with a swipe. My Classic didn't have that. No overly sized just perfect.

Great Watch
This is my first smart watch and I am really impressed. I love the style and the fact that it doesn't look bulky. It is really easy to use and works really well. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that Samsung left out the application that let Samsung Pay work almost everywhere and made this watch only work with NFC devices. Other than that, it is a great watch.

Great watch that keeps up with me
The Samsung Galaxy watch is a terrific light watch with great battery life. Typically, the sleep functions in a smartwatch are useless because they are uncomfortable to wear to bed or the battery doesn’t last long enough for the feature to be of any use. I appreciate longevity. The only negative that stands out is the voice assistant that fails to be of much use. Other than that it’s a great watch that keeps up with me. I like it better the more I use it.
I bought this on Amazon (Beach Camera). Initially, I had reservations. I felt that the instructions were inadequate. The apps available were very limited at that time.
I found a link to a very helpful manual at the Samsung website. Also, Samsung has added several apps that make the watch complete: flashlight, stopwatch, timer, reminder, calculator. I added Golf Pad, which works pretty well as a rangefinder and scorecard (I didn't like TaylorMade myRoundPro). Samsung Pay doesn't always work, but I now know the stores where I can use it.
My suggestion for a new app: silence the phone when you're seated in a theater without have to fish the phone out of a pocket.
Today I am very impressed with the design and logic of the controls. I added a brown leather strap, which makes the watch very attractive, and wear it just about every day.

Nice smaller version
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is my 2nd smartwatch. I wanted to see if I prefer the 42" vs the 46". I must admit that they are both great, and this smaller version is more suited for smaller wrist people. The battery life averages 3-4 days for my usage, but of course will vary for each person's use. The all black look is definitely nice. The circular screen and rotating bezel add to the magnificence. The screen is bright enough to see in direct sunlight. And guess what, it includes a heart rate monitor so you don't need a separate device for that. It would be nice if it included more apps like those on my phone, but I definitely get lots of use with the phone and text messaging functions. The watch works great with my Samsung s8. Love my new watch. I would recommend to anyone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Amazing, comfortable smartwatch
Being my first smartwatch and having worn traditional watches for decades, I was leery of the benefits. After a week with the watch, I could not be happier with the Samsung Watch 42mm. I have small wrists for a guy so I selected the smaller watch face and it fits very well. The watch height was a worry with the online reviews I've read but surprisingly, it's slimmer than my normal Casio G-shock watch(see below).
Downsides to the watch:
If you're used to having a watch on all the time to read it, the life is shorter.
Bluetooth pairing for the watch does drain the battery life of my phone more but still average 16 hours on the phone [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Bluetooth range is obviously not that far so unless you go for the LTE version you pretty much have to have your phone within a certain range. I wanted to go for the LTE version but not having a Samsung phone didn't make that possible. I have a pixel 3 XL and the Samsung Galaxy watch LTE version isn't compatable. Unfortunately at this time there is no other smartwatch with the "standards" on the Samsung Galaxy watch that work with my phone, other options and SmartWatches for Android OS, yes. But if I'm going to spend the money I want the best, so I'm considering returning the Bluetooth version and waiting for a Google pixel LTE watch. In my opinion it makes more sense to have an LTE version so you really don't have to have your phone on you all the time or very close to you. You can leave your phone at home while you go for a walk leave it in the car while you're running some place and you still have the availability of communication with an LTE version of a smartwatch. Perhaps Samsung well come up with a high quality smartwatch that can't utilize the features of any high-quality cell phone.

Only minor tweaking. The waterproof & exercise apps are upgrades from previous generations, but taking away the Mst function on Samsung Pay was a mistake. Personally I dont like the rubber band looks cheap & some of us have allergies to it. Also Bixby has limited functionality. Not many apps are available either. Could been a lot better! They've been making these watches for yrs now. C'mon Samsung we expect more than lukewarm!

Why would any smart watch be made to NOT activate
Why on earth would any "smart watch" not be able to be activated to a cell phone line???? I see now that it says "(Bluetooth)", and after trying to connect it to our cell service, that it is not compatible to be connected. Had I known this I would have saved my self HUNDREDS of dollars and just ordered a cheap fit bit. Such a waste even having these "smart watches" when they can only be connected via bluetooth. Save yourself the money, this one isn't worth it at all. I wish I could return it now.

I get lots of compliments about the look of the watch but the battery does not comes close to the advertise duration. It might last a day and a half..very disappointing. If I do not place it on the charger at night, it will not last the next day. I am confused because normally Samsung makes a great product, but the battery life in this ine miss the mark

Absolutely do not buy
I bought this watch two days ago and am going to return it this evening for a refund. I did a lot of research and read reviews of this watch before purchasing it, and now that I've tried it it's hard to believe how generally positive the reviews are. This watch is TERRIBLE.
Something that was noted in some of the reviews was the lack of app support on Tizen OS. I underestimated the negative effect that this would have, for example: If you use a third party application on your phone for text messaging it will severely limit the watch's capability to respond to messages. If I receive a text message on the watch, the only thing I can do is read that message, not respond to it, or read the conversation that the message was in. Almost any app that you can think of on your phone will NOT have a watch equivalent, and you are limited to the horrible "Galaxy Apps".
Secondly, one of the biggest reasons I bought this watch was because of the Spotify support, and being able to listen to Spotify offline using only the watch. It was like pulling teeth trying login to my Spotify account on the watch. After resetting the watch, phone, and reinstalling the app, I was finally able to login to my account. But unfortunately this did not allow me to download songs for offline play. The app continually tells me I'm offline, despite the watch being connected to my home Wi-Fi network.
Essentially I spent my first day with this watch Googling how to get various functions to work, not finding any kind of support for the Galaxy Watch itself, and never being able to get these features to work. The watch also randomly vibrates as though I have a notification, but when I look at the watch there is nothing. This happened about 5-10 times in the one day that I wore the watch. I am incredibly disappointed with this watch and I will continue to strongly recommend against anyone purchasing it. I can't imagine many worse ways to waste $400.00.

Love it
So much about this watch is just amazing.
The battery easily lasts me 2 days even with GPS on and the heart rate monitor set to always on. The Frontier would only last 8 hours before having to go into power saving mode.
It is so lightweight compared to the Frontier.
The Frontier could sit on the charger for 3+ hours (from dead) and still wouldn't have a full charge, but this is good to go in under an hour.
I love the stress monitor and guided breathing, I just wish there were a notification when your stress levels go up.
Then there are the issues...
Step accuracy isn't great, not awful, but not the best.
The sleep monitor will sometimes randomly stop so that one night it didn't track anything and gave an error message the next morning telling me as much and another time it tracked for two hours, then nothing for five hours, and finished with one hour so that it looked like I only slept for three hours.
Finally, Spotify... I don't know if it's a Samsung issue or a Spotify issue, but if you have the widget added to one of your screens, then after a phone call or text message it will randomly start playing. Removing the widget and just opening the app seems to fix this.
Overall, this thing could be amazing if they would just fix some of these things.

Great for health tracking
Great for health tracking, and that's it. Not much else to do with it. Not many social or environmental apps to download unlike competitors. Sending texts can be quite frustrating. If there was a keyboard option you can use by moving the watch face, that might be useful. Also, battery life overall isn't bad but can still be better ( should at least match battery life of Galaxy S10) other than that, it's a good watch.

UPDATE: I can see my text messages on my watch! But now I don't get the notifications, I have to go search for the text app. I feel like a breakthrough is coming soon! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Life with the Galaxy Watch
Using the Samsung Galaxy Watch is an eye opener. Just when you thought the only things you will need every time you go anywhere would be a wallet and cell phone comes an new item in the form of a watch. So what does this bring to the table? One may think that this is just something to compliment the phone. This does more. In addition to alerting you to messages and actually taking your phone call on this watch. It does other features such as health related things such as heart rate monitor, steps taken per day and tracking sleep. The neat thing is that it does these things automatically. It can tell what type of activity you are doing and will list it on the screen. No need to worry about breaking it. This watch has taken all the knocks along the doors and hit on the desks with no negative effects. I have even jumped into the pool and swam with no issue. Don’t want to carry your phone to the gym? No problem. Built in speakers or wear Bluetooth headphone and you are good to go. Forgot your wallet? No problem. Samsung Pay will let you use your watch as a payment method. Just tap the watch on the card reader and you are done. Load up your music on the phone by streaming it or upload your music directly to the watch. Use Bixby the personal assistant on the watch to get things done quicker. The Galaxy Watch has a very eye appealing screen that is sharp and vibrant. It runs off the Tizen operating system which even comes with the new OneUI interface that Samsung is implementing on their current devices. All in all this watch is something that is worth it and is a must have! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great watch, Easy to use,
I have had this watch for about a month and love it. I was so easy to use and set up with my Samsung 8+. I am able to easily download music an use bluetooth headphones to workout in without having to carry my telephone. I previously had a Misfit Vapor and found it took hours to figure out how to use, and download music. It didn't work in the water, even though advertised as such. The Galaxy watch also has a much longer battery life than the Misfit. I think the screen is much easier to read than the Apple watch screen. So far very pleased.

Functional and practical without losing the beauty
Samsung Galaxy Watch.
The watch is very functional and practical without losing the beauty you would want in a woman's watch.
The rose gold is really pretty and goes with every outfit you choose. You don't have to sacrifice the beauty because you want the functionality.
The ease of use and the easy to read watch face is great. I love that you can toggle around with the dial on the watch face. So much better than tapping the buttons on the side of the watch.
I love how it can record my sleep, along with breathing, stress and heartbeat, just to name a few.
It's also lightweight and I like how I don't have to worry about it getting wet.
The only thing I didn't like was that the watch didn't have more watch faces to change to. The ones already programmed are a bit dull and boring. I would have expected a bit more "sparkle and shine" for a woman's watch.
All in all, the watch is great! I went from another high end watch to this, with no regrets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Love it but has a few issues
I went from the Samsung gear fit 2 to this watch and I am very happy with it. That being said I do think Samsung can do better . For the price I paid I expect it to be acurite. The step count is off by quite a bit and the sleep track doesn't work correctly it states I have had no deep sleep in the 3 weeks that I have owned the watch . Besides those issues I do love the watch and am glad I upgraded to it. It is definitely better than my gear fit 2.

Great Watch!
Price is high but that's expected for a smart watch that actually works and is comfortable. There is many features built in but you're able to add many more! People have to keep in mind the more widgets and gadget on it - the faster it dies. Some of the features are not needed, so simply turn it off.
I bought this for the health features, text and calling. All the extras are a bonus but i turned off most things to help with battery life.
Battery is the reason i gave 4 stars but otherwise a great watch and looks great too. Highly recommend getting the charger station also and screen protectors!!

Great look, but functionality is limited.
I bought this watch about a month ago. I switched from an Apple watch. I would say they are comparable for features, with one HUGE exception. The Bluetooth range on this watch is TERRIBLE! I actually returned the first one thinking it was defective and the second one did the same thing. I can't walk into another room without the watch disconnecting from my phone. My reason for buying this was to answer calls so when I leave my phone downstairs, I can still pick up the calls while upstairs cleaning and such. This disconnects when I go upstairs, or outside, or leave my phone in the car in front of the house. The Apple never did this and it makes this watch pretty useless if your phone isn't right next to you. I am very disappointed about this. That said, when the phone is near me, the watch is great.

Galaxy Watch is Out of this World!
Have worn the watch daily for two weeks, it replaced a Gear S2 and the differences are well worth the upgrade! Software interface is virtually the same, so no learning curve, but there are significant improvements. Battery life is really impressive - two to three days between charges, depending on the use load. It only takes a couple of hours from a low-teens battery percentage to fully charged.
The Galaxy Watch looks beautiful! Feels like a traditional, expensive watch. The band is comfortable. The bezel turns effortlessly, smoothly transitioning between each position (the S2 bezel was tight and not easily rotated). Screen is bright and vivid, 'just right' sensitivity to touch.
The voice controls are much improved! Bixby (vs. S-voice) is much better at recognition and execution. Just wish the wake-up command was customizable. One very obvious perk to the Galaxy Watch is the speaker and ability to talk on the phone. Very convenient not to have to reach for your phone, just swipe the watch face and start chatting!
Being able to glance at the watch for notifications is a huge time saver. So easy to know what needs my immediate attention or what can wait. And being able to customize what notifications I receive is great, because there are lots of things on my phone I don't necessarily need to see on my watch.
Bluetooth connection is strong, as long as you are in close proximity to your phone. The distance allowed between the two devices to stay connected could be greater (for example, even when connected to my home wifi, I can't walk to the other side of my 3000 sq ft house without the watch disconnecting from my phone).
The biggest dissapointment I have found is during workouts. While wearing lifting gloves, the home/power button gets pressed which causes the watch to turn off & on during the workout. HITT style, or hybrid workouts, are not auto-detected; even though "Dynamic Workout" is turned on, I have to start the workout manually.
The Galaxy Watch is not perfect, but it is close! So many positives make it an "out of this world" addition to my Samsung collection of products. Highly recommend! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very nice watch
The watch is solidly built, comfortable to wear and looks solid. 2 bands small and large are included which is nice. A variety of watch faces are available with an excellent free selection to customize including Facer support. Fitness tracking has been quite accurate, although I haven't been able to use the sleep tracking as it is uncomfortable for me to sleep in. I like the heart rate monitor as it constantly tracks and provides trends of my pulse. Samsung pay is available on the watch and I don't have to pull my phone or wallet out of my pocket. The only issue is that I have to enter my PIN to use it every time. Also had to setup my cards again as it didn't import from my phone. Battery life hasn't been as excellent as I would like it to be. I have to recharge the watch daily. But it can be optimized to extend the battery life. It still is much better than my other Android Wear watches. I also noticed that I have to charge my S9+ more often as it syncs with my watch via Bluetooth. I love the rotating bezel and widgets that show info at a glance. My main issue with the watch is a lack of Google Assistant and Samsung's own Smartthings App is worthless. Bixby leaves much to be desired as well. In general there is a lack of watch apps. Hopefully there is more dev support for this otherwise awesome watch. The watch also has a builtin speaker which was clear for occasional calls. Calls can be made or received from the watch but it does not support WiFi calling. I hope that they fix these quirks to make this watch a 5 star product that it really deserves to be. Absolutley Brilliant
I have had this for about a month now and I love it! Being a student still, and not being able to use my phone during the day did cause challenges, but now, when I get an important text, I can respond immediately without risking being asked to leave. Also, it is great to get on that new health resolution and great when exercising. I can leave my phone behind and easily connect it to my bluetooth headset or my Gear IconX (when they arrive) to listen to music without needing my phone on me. Plus, the SOS feature is great peace of mind when hiking or biking. Having the 42mm version, samsung says I could get a day or two on a charge, but I have an abundant amount of battery draining features like having it constantly measure my heart rate and stress as apposed to when it finds easy time to do so, I browse the web on it, I keep the brightness all the way up, and many more, and still get closer to 60 hours of battery life than its estimated 24 hrs with all that on.

I wanted to love it
My husband recently purchased me the 42mm and I have returned it. I really wanted to love it, it looked beautiful and I was really excited about the features of the watch like being able to be away from my phone and not miss an important call. But alas, the battery life is absolutely horrible, especially if you use it for any of the features that made you want to purchase the watch. I turned every thing off and down that I could and the thing still could not even make it through the work day without going into power saving mode. The first time I wore it after set up, it was on 100% and it went into power saving mode in 3 hours. I even did a whole day with nothing except the watch and pedometer and it was on power saving by 5pm. I couldn't track my sleep because it had to go on the charger. It was also glitchy in getting the notifications (when I had them on) to read correctly. I cant justify spending this much on a watch that cant live up to what it boasts or even make it through the work day. I have been a big fan of Samsung products, I have a washer, two older GearFits, I have had several Samsung phones over the past few years and have loved all of them. I feel really let down by the performance of this watch, from the features to the battery life.

Absolutely love this watch

Great Watch from a Samsung Note Owner
As an avid Samsung Note phone owner (starting with the Note 4 to now having a Note 9), I was always curious to see if the Samsung Galaxy watch would add any complimentary benefits to the phone.
The first challenge was determining the size of the watch. With two different sizes, 42mm and 48mm, I was nervous on fit for my medium sized wrist when I ordered the 42mm watch. Once the watch arrived I was surprised on how great it fit me. For small and medium sized wrist folks, the 42mm is the way to go unless you are into very large watches (where the watch face is bigger than your wrist). But for sporty and everyday wear, 42mm seems to be the better fit.
The first impressions of the watch: very well made – looks like a nice solid traditional watch. Numerous choices of watch faces make the watch look even more realistic. The pairing with the Note 9 was seamless – the phone detected the watch and download and configured it almost without having me do anything!
The big question to answer…does the watch make my life better? After using it for several weeks, I can say, yes! The best thing about the watch is that it will get notifications from the phone’s apps – even from ones that don’t have apps for the watch (i.e. Twitter, WhatsApp, Google voice). It also allows the option to respond to the notifications with pre-made responses or ones that can be customized. Now I take out my phone less often to check notifications which typically end up distracting because I start doing other things on the phone. Only the more important notifications will buzz the watch since it provides the option to select which apps to notify on the watch.
Two big knocks on the watch - otherwise it would be perfect. #1: Battery life. It will last about a day and a half consistently – no matter how much or little I use the watch. Quite disappointing as I was expecting the watch to last at least over two days. I'm not sure how others are getting the watch to last four days (perhaps if you turned off everything including notifications?) #2 Mobile Payments. The watch only does Samsung Pay which is OK (a lot or retailers seem to accept it). However, you have to enter a pin after you turn on the Samsung Pay app. This makes it a bit more cumbersome than necessary. Not a big deal – however, could be more seamless.
Overall it’s a great useful watch that compliments a phone with a few minor shortcomings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

OK. Battery maintenance needs to become priority
I bought this as a FitBit replacement. The watch is nice looking and has lots of watch faces. The battery life is very short. You will need to have a routine to charge your watch to ensure there is battery left over. I would have preferred to have "always on" feature but it kills battery within a day. There are lots of watch bands available that increase versatility. Consider shortcomings carefully before purchasing.

Just ok
This watch is enormous. It stand up off of my wrist more than a half of an inch. I catch it on everything. It is so uncomfortable to me. Also, I feel like it's fitness measurements are inaccurate. My steps are way off compared to my steps with my fitbit. It also says that I never get deep sleep. I see on other reviews that this is a known problem. It seem like there is little benefit from the watch, since I have to be within a few feet of my phone for it to give me notifications. I will be returning it and purchasing a new fitbit instead.

Galaxy Watch...Really Great!
After debating the purchase, I pulled the trigger and bought my Galaxy Watch. I used to wear a Fitbit Alta, but it was just too hard to read in sunlight.
I'm not permitted to wear a watch at work, so I tuck my watch into pants pocket; a little disappointed that Galaxy Watch doesn't pick up on all my walking activity. However, I won't give up my watch! The other features are great.
Navigation is easy and intuitive. I really like the rotating bezel control...so much nicer than tapping and slapping and my wrist! lol
Yes, it is an expensive watch and a little big on a ladies wrist, but it is oh so useful. Looks good, too.

doesn't record my activity correctly
I've had this watch for about 4 1/2 months now. The watch is wonderful. It does everything and more and has changed my life in a good way. I can actually leave my phone at home when i go running and use my watch as a phone with a bluetooth in my ear. The only complaint i have is that it often won't calculate my steps or my flights of stairs accurately. For instance, it's bappy when i climb at least 10 stairs. One evening I kept trying to get it to record my 10 flights in order to reach all my goals. After 15 flights it would only give me 9 so i gave up. The other complaint is that it doesn't use the 17 stairs as a flight rule. Regarding step count, the watch lets me know if ive been inactive. Sometimes at work I'll get up, go down the hall to the bathroom, then check on employees, then head back down the hallway to my office. My watch will then buzz me to say I've been inactive and it's time to move a little. Please improve your activity ap to be my perfect watch!! I love you in every other way!!

Great watch, lack of MST is a failure by Samsung
This, in general, is a great watch. It looks great, works great, is great. The problem is Samsung removed the MST feature that was present on the Gear S3 line. This was a huge mistake, as one of the biggest differentiators of this watch from others on the market was the ability to pay at non-NFC terminals with your watch. Really disappointed they did this.

Another cool feature of the watch was it was able to measure your stress levels. I'm not sure how it's done but this feature blew my mind.
