Perfect for your home or office workstation, the TLP606USBB Protect It! 6-Outlet Surge Protector features a surge suppression rating of 990 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes.
The TLP606USBB includes full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G) line surge suppression, as well as technology that filters out disruptive EMI/RFI line noise, preventing interference from disrupting your electronics and inflicting damage or data loss.
Your computer and peripherals plug into six NEMA 5-15R outlets, including one designed to accept bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. Dual USB ports provide 2.1 total amps for fast charging smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and other portable devices. Integrated 15-amp circuit breaker protects all outlets against dangerous overloads. Lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected equipment. Green LED indicates protection status.
The 1.83 m (6-ft.) AC power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug allows the TLP606USBB to reach distant outlets, giving you flexibility in placing the surge protector. Keyhole slots incorporated into the bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting options for the black plastic housing.

Provides Good USB Power
I was looking specifically for a surge protector with USB power. After reading poor reviews of other products, I found this one which received good reviews. I needed USB power for my two Zoom Q2n-4k cameras. I used both USB ports to provide power to the two cameras for a 3 hour event and the surge protector did fine. It was not hot and had no issues. I am quite happy with the product so far.

Love Tripp Lite Protection & USB Convenience
Picked this up on Amazon. Why Tripp Lite? My ex and best friend is an IT professional and these are the only surge protectors he buys. I replaced the one we had for years with this one simply because I wanted the USB slots to easily charge my phone, AppleWatch, laptops etc. all from one secure, surge protector. Convenience and protection worth every cent.

Researched surge protectors and found TrippLite was highly recommended. There is a light on the strip that tells you the surge protection is still effective (I didn't know surge protection even had a defined life). Great product!

Convenient
I bought this item for my daughter given she needs not only power plugs but USB plugs too. I have been told that the USB plugs are convenient and that she likes the slim design better than the other brands that are twice as wide. As for protection, I honestly don't know much about Joules and if this is a "catch all" for "brown outs".

Great for Small RV
We bought this to use in our small Aliner pop-up camper, so that we can keep everything powered and charged. Two tablets, two phones, one laptop with external speakers are now powered and protected. We could not be more thrilled with our purchase. Our camper is only 18 feet in length, so keeping organized is essential. The TRIPP-LITE Protect It! surge protector does exactly what we needed.

This is a good surge protector with a long cord and a reasonable sized plug. The addition of the two USB ports enable charging of devices without occupying slots for plugs or needing conversion squares.

Best Quality, Great for Office use
This power strip is rock solid. I love the length. I wanted these because I wanted to set up a home office with 2 monitors, a laptop, etc. It has 2 USB ports as well. it still has plenty of available outlet slots for chargers, etc.
Also, a Simple wall mount keeps it just where I need it on the back wall behind my desk.
It is a top-quality surge Protector. Highly recommended!

I would purchase this item again.
I have this on my desktop at home and its small. I use the two USB ports to charge the cell phone and tablet so I don't need the transformer thus allowing more outlets to be used.
I also like the warranty after registering any of the products against possible electrical damage when used correctly.
