Plug both USB connectors into the two USB ports of your computer and then connect the Addonics USB interface cable, you are now ready to run the Addonics drive right off the power of your computer!
The Dual Inputs USB power cable also resolves the power issue on CardBus USB 2.0 adapters that do not provide power from the USB 2.0 ports to self-power USB devices. Simply connect the input end of the cable labeled "power" into the built-in USB port on your notebook computer and the other input end of the cable to the USB 2.0 ports from the CardBus adapter, then connect the USB device to the output end of the Dual Inputs USB power cable. You can now enjoy the benefit of USB 2.0 performance as well as true portability on any notebook computers.
