Great Design
This is one of the coolest design I've seen. Helps to better organize cords and save space by having rotating outlets. Wish cord was longer. Would allow better placement of electrical items. Good value

Another innovation from APC
This new style power strip has USB charging ports and swivel outlets. Perfect for smaller spaces. I would like the power cord to be on the other end at least in my application but that is not a deal breaker. The swivel ports enable you to direct the plugs right or left when mounted on a wall for better cable management.

NOT Your Average Surge Protector On a Stick
At first blush, you might think this is like any other "stick" surge protector. But pick it up and you'll feel the heft of this well constructed all metal surge protector. What I most appreciated are the rotating outlets that eliminate the problem with charging bricks that cover two or three outlets, thus turning a six outlet surge protector into a two or three outlet product.
Like many folks I have a bunch of tools, etc. that are battery powered and require charging. By utilizing the rotating heads I was able to connect six charging systems, five of which are the type with a brick that must be plugged in.
The specs say the protection levels are more than adequate to allay any fears of over-voltage surge damage which I appreciate. A couple of my tools have lithium batteries that are over $100 to replace with factory batteries.
Surge protectors are relatively inexpensive insurance. This one fits the bill!

Great design!!
I received this Rotating outlet/surge protector a few weeks ago. I love the way the individual outlets turn side to side. I can plug in items on either side and the outlet lays flush because the outlets can turn either way. I have been pleased with every item I have received from APC. I would highly recommend this product and this company.

Smart Design
Space is always at a premium in an office, especially when your office is at home. The smart design of the SurgeArrest allows me to make the most of the space I have by flipping those bulky "wall warts" to one side so that I can easily access all 6 plugs. Throwing in a couple of USB ports was an added bonus. Of course, the product is built solid like all APC gear. I can't wait to see what they think of next!

Benchmark Rotating Outlet Surge Protector
Another great product from APC. Right from the box, you know you have a substantial, high quality, thoroughly engineered product. From the plastic terminal cap on the power plug prongs, the SJT VW-1 Hard Service Grade Flame Retardant 6-foot power cord, a robust right angle NEMA 5-15P polarized grounded plug, to the durable textured molded plastic housing with a integrated Circuit Breaker Power Switch, Power Protection and Ground Status Indicators, 6 power outlets, 2 USB 3.4 A ports, rear mounting keyholes, and a printed user manual. UL and RoHS certified (safe and no Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr+6, PBB, or PBDEs), all bases are covered.
What takes this surge protector to the next level are the Independently Rotating Outlets which solve the infuriating issue of plug-in transformer housings blocking access to adjacent power receptacles, limiting the useful capacity of traditional power strips. Each plug can be positioned straight-on or 90° to the left or right side. The housing is also tall enough that the device will still sit flat even with a 2-inch wide integrated plug-in transformer attached to a receptacle in the left or right facing position. One oddity is that the rotating plug appears to have a detent stop for the 45° position which might lead one to think that you can use it in that position, and when rotating the plugs to the left or right position you have to make sure the plug is fully rotated in order to engage the plug. Nonetheless, works well.
This unit is rated for 1080 Joules with a 330-500V Let-Through Rating with Fail-Safe Mode which provides good protection but you might want to consider a higher rated unit for a mission critical computer, television or home theater equipment. That said, APC stands by this product with a Lifetime Warranty and Lifetime US$50,000 Equipment Protection Policy.
For MSRP US$27 (US$23-25 online), you get power strip with surge protection plus lifetime warranty and equipment protection from APC, a power protection industry leader. Why would you go without?

A good device that could be better!
I rarely criticize anything that Schneider Electric / APC manufactures, but I have to make an exception this time; this product could be better, with just a few improvements.
Even though manufactured items must be built to a certain price point, the choice of PLASTIC (instead of METAL) for the base of this surge protector means that it is fairly flimsy. The removal of tight fitting plugs may cause the entire device to twist and distort, particularly if you have chosen to rotate the outlet receptacle to a horizontal position. While the rotating outlet feature helps deal with the obligatory “wall-wort” power supply, I have my doubts that the electrical connections will remain trouble free for the duration of the product’s life span.
Also, the dual function input circuit breaker / power switch is vulnerable to accidental turn off if something is dropped on the surge protector if it is being used under a desk, for example. The switch cap is not recessed adequately to prevent a book, or other object turning off your computer or router. This could easily have been prevented by designing two raised ridges surrounding the switch cap that would prevent such an inadvertent activation. Many of APC’s other, more expensive surge protectors have this feature, why doesn’t this one?
My final suggestion would be to make the two green LEDs a good bit brighter as they are somewhat dim and hard to see, from an angle. This change could be implemented very easily.
These small changes could make an otherwise excellent product better, for little increase in manufacturing cost, in my opinion.

Rotating Outlets a Big Plus
Pro:
• Flat plug fits in tight places.
• 6’ cord length is a plus. Many of the others I have are shorter which limits placement or requires an extension.
• Rotating outlets allow use of neighboring outlets.
Con:
• Clamping voltage is 500v. I used this to replace an older one that had 400v clamping.
• Several of the outlets were difficult to rotate. This may improve with use.
• Warranty claims “$50,000 equipment coverage.*” Checked the fine print to find the asterisk and found that the warranty covers “defects in material and workmanship.” No warranty card provided.
• Low amps from USB is only good for slow charging. Faster charging can be done with the travel adapter in one of the regular outlets.
• $29.99 on Amazon seems competitive with other brands depending on features.

Top of the line
I’ve used APC products for several years and can highly recommend them. Their SurgeArrest 6 is the most innovative product Yet. The ability to rotate each of the six outlets allows you to plug in anything. And, the addition of two USB charging ports makes this one of their best.

Awesome Addition To My Garage!
I love the rotating outlets! Extremely helpful to get bricks and angle cords the correct way. I welcomed upgrade to my garage workshop! To clarify though, the outlets don't exactly "swivel". The rotation is actually comes in the form of a plastic cover that sits on top of 3 outlets (top, left, and right position).
