Does not work with most Macs.
This drive is very limited in which Macs it will work with. At first I couldn't believe it, but I asked Apple today and they confirmed that, yes, it really only works with the ones listed.

External drive saved the day.
does the job! Works perfectly. Computer had no internal drive, needed one for listening to self made music and creating music for band mates
