The Arista 7050X4 series is the fourth generation of the Arista 7050X family and a key component of the Arista 400G portfolio of data center switches. The adoption of high-performance servers using virtualization and containers with increasingly higher network bandwidth is accelerating the need for higher density switching in both the leaf and spine tiers of modern networks.

The Arista 7050X4 Series high-performance flexible data center switches provide 100G and 400G Ethernet and are loaded with features for wire speed L2 and L3, combine extensive automation with programmability, low latency and offer multiple generations of consistency for software-driven cloud networking.

The 7050X4 supports a rich set of EOS features that are also supported on other Arista 7050X-Series systems. Operational and feature consistency lowers the qualification time and enhancements include Single Pass VXLAN Routing for network segmentation, Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) for optimized path selection and the addition of Network Address Translation (NAT).
