Arista - license

The Arista® EOS® Software License is a modular switch operating system that works for all Arista switches. It features support for 48 10/100/1000 ports and four 1/10GbE SFP+ ports for easy management of large data centers. It's suitable for 1G and 10G environments and supports automation and monitoring features. The Arista license provides access to software ready for integration in modern cloud data storage systems.

Features of the EOS software license help prevent users from out-of-band networks from accessing your data. There is a broad layer two feature set and advanced QoS features. Expandable with Linux tools and the Python and C++ programming languages, the Arista software allows the creation of custom kernel modules for systems with unique needs. It uses a Linux-based network operating system and industry-standard CLI. Its multi-process state-sharing architecture provides resiliency and stability. Arista EOS also offers automation features like Zero Touch Provisioning and VMTracing.
