Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solo 5 a Disappointment The audio level can't be adjusted. you have to turn it on frequently. If it times out, a restart is required. I have not yet figured out how to make it stay on permanently.

This was a gift but that option was quickly truncated after looking at the scratched, damaged, and battered original Bose box. Sincerely disappointed. Love the sound bar but HORRIBLE packaging!

As it is a Bose ,it had very good reviews. But as it turned out ,it is no louder than my TV. I am very upset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose Sound Bar not as good as I hoped. I purchased this sound bar because it was a Bose product at a good price. However, I am a little disappointed in it. First of all, it is only about 18 inches long. The voices are very clear but there is very little bass sound, which I can understand because how much bass can you get out of tiny speakers like are in it. Also the volume control is only on an included remote, which has all the controls for the TV included on it, but I cannot set up the remote because my TV which is 8 years old is doesn't have capability to be programmed for this remote.

The one I had previously sounded awesome also but I purchased it about 5 years ago and it was a little more complex to set up. I also love the bluetooth!

I lost some hearing in the military and have difficulty hearing the voice conversations on tv which leads to turning up the volume. But, when sound effects (explosions, etc. occur, it is way too loud. This sound bar clarifies the vocals and adds distinctive bass notes that my Samsung tv speaker did not. It doesn't give you a full theater surround sound experience but it is perfect for my needs. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny! All I can say is that soundbar is perfect. Amazing sound! I have a studio apartment, and it's more than enough for my space. If you had a bigger space, maybe upgrade to the higher models but the Solo 5 packs a heck of a punch!

Using the speakers on the tv , she had to crank it up to 40 and still could not hear what they were saying. So I bought this for here, day one she noticed a huge change in how she could hear what was spoken. She only needs to get is up to about 20 to hear everything. Highly Recommend for anyone with a hearing problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds Great I have had this for about 3 weeks. If you do a below TV mount, you have to get creative with hiding your wires. I had to put spacers behind the unit to run my other wires behind the Bose speaker. This unit is not very loud, but sounds 100% better than your TV speaker. Once I figured out my creative installation, I am very happy with this product !

We had one in our living room with a separate woofer and after we bought this for our bedroom we went out and bought another one for our living room. Love it so much better don't have to worry about the wireless woofer coming on. So easy to use and the sound quality is really good.

I thought about purchasing the Solo 15, but thought this overkill. The "5" is perfect for our cozy living room! Such rich sounds and impressive bass from a comparatively diminutive sound bar that looks perfect in front of the TV. . Couldn't be more delighted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A word of caution Overall I am happy with this speaker and it is a keeper. But I need to tell you what to expect. It does not have the full richness and spectrum of sound of my Soundlink. It is designed mostly for hearing voices from the TV, but does have some richness of sound for lower frequencies and music. You cannot add on a bass extension later so think what you want this speaker for. All said and done, a useful addition to my TV. I don't want to add clutter to my bedroom so I'm keeping it rather than getting a soundbar with a floor bass speaker.

We're enjoying some shows (especially the terrific British ones) much better now. I also play music via Bluetooth from my computer and from our phones. The music sound is wonderful. One of the best things about this soundbar, though, is how easy it was to set up and use. The remote control turns the TV, cable box, and soundbar on and off simultaneously. We put three remote controls in a drawer and replaced them with just the Bose control. Awesome!

I'm not a lover of hearing strong bass all the time but this delivers bass perfect for me while watching TV. Thinking about buying one for the bedroom but I don't really watch TV in there enough to justify buying another one. Think I'll use the old sound bar in there.

Music sounds good but voices are up front and legible where other soundbar systems I have tried just didn't cut it and some included a sub. I would have to say the 5 star rating is driven by the value that this little guy brings to the game. It most certainly is not an immersive surround sound but it adds quality sounds and great vocals to the mix. If I could I would rate it a 4.5 but I am willing to go 5.

I was looking for something compact to fit under my tv in the kitchen that would enhance the dull tv sound. Set up was simple two wires and up it was running. Truly did enhance the sound and did not know it had a Bluetooth option until I started reading more of the owners manual. For the space I had in the kitchen I really think this was the best option

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact Yet Capable I purchased the Solo 5 after close in store comparison to the Solo 10 and 15. The Solo 5 sounds comparable while requiring far less space and for less cost and offering BT connectivity. Crisp and clear voices and highs and far better sound than my TV speakers. The BT music payback is comparable to the Bose BT Soundlink and Touch systems. No window rattling subwoofer. However, it's other features easily offset that limitation.

I bought this Bose sound bar and after having it only a three weeks the sound was fuzy, I sent in to Bose to have replaced and it came back the same manner it was sent. It was not a good purchase and really makes me doubt the quality of the Bose reputation
