Holding printers hostage?
I don’t like being railroaded. I want to buy ink on MY TERMS, not on yours..To render the machine unusable for B&W printing and holding it hostage until you buy ink, because a certain color happens to be low, is out and out blackmail, and a horrendous, strong-armed business practice.

Over the years, we have had seven different printers for our home-based business. If the printer lasted past the warranty time, we were lucky. We now have a Brother. We give this printer five stars. Paper jams (usually my fault) are easy to resolve. Plenty of notice for low ink. Easy set-up. Most people only rate a product when they have a complaint. We decided to take a minute to give a thumbs up.

Ink refills last a very long time.
The printer works great. Had some difficulty getting the wireless part to work with the computer - but finally figured it out. Very good printer.

I like the printer when it works. The print is good and the color is great. My problem is the software! I was difficult to set up and randomly just stop working. I received a text to install an upgrade-- asked for my password from the sticker on the back of the unit. Wouldn't accept it, tried the password I created - no go. I'll try to call customer service??

Great printer but forget about finding ink.
Fabulous printer, does most things well, but ink supply is shockingly poor. 0/10, Brother. I have been a user of Brother printers for years and have 2 business printers needing this ink. Can I find it? No. That makes it a total waste of money as it sits in a corner, gathering dust.

Great Printer
Very good printer! This printer is exactly what I needed for my office. It prints legibly and has lots of ink so you don't run out every week or two. I love the capability to print on both sides of paper, it saves a lot of paper this way. If you want a real quality printer, this is the one to aquire!

Ink cartridges
Had purchased a new brother printer 2 years ago. I cannot believe I was having such a difficult time finding the ink cartridges. No office supply had them. I hope this is not a norm.

Can't find LC4063PKS
Nobody has LC4063pks!!! I bought the color printer last year and today I needs LC4063pks. What good is it to have MFC-J4535 printer? I will buy different brand to replace this printer.

Inks are expensive. Difficult to get extended use
Far too expensive, AND the G-D printer - MFC-J35645 DW - does not last a a year before you have to start putting ink in - I got only about 8 months - home use...not a home office. I would never recommend a Brother printer from this experience.

I love the ink capacity of the Brother Ink Tanks
I bought new ink LC4063PK 2 months ago when my printer said I was running out. I still haven't needed to open the new ink yet. I have a small business and have used the same original ink that came with the printer 1 1/2 yrs ago. I love the capacity of the ink Tanks. With my old computer I would have replaced the cartridges at least twice by now. I'm paying a lot less for ink than I did with my old printer.

Brother should bear some accountability.
At this point, Brother should be giving us 50% of our money back for our purchase of this printer, if not all of it for not supplying the very life of this contraption they promoted and sold.
