Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed PT Editor 5.1 does not work with OSX. It crashes, and basic file label functions like sizing and positioning do not work reliably. Purchased this label maker to replace PT-2100 when I converted from Windows to OSX. No OSX drivers were available for PT-2100, so I 'upgraded'.

If one has used only the old plastic, embossed label type of label maker in the past (as I had, then the controls on this device might seem a bit intimidating at first. Similarly, the software (available free on the Brother website) seems complicated at first, since it combines features of both graphic and word-processing software. However, the printed manual (for controlling the device manually) is clear and thorough, while the online/software help function for controlling the device from a computer is exceptionally user-friendly. This device is versatile and has many uses around the home and in a business office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Needs cutting options when connected to computer. I do not want the "cut line" where I have to cut the tab myself after printing. Otherwise, very happy with purchase. I just don't use it with the computer anymore, and therefore have limited access to the full functionality.
