Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult Setup I found this printer very hard to setup. I double label for file folders seems to be missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tedious, outdated, kinda cool As the title says, this software was impossibly tedious to install and attempting to install it on my coworker's computers has been somehow worse. This along with the P-touch editor seem like strange out dated aspects to this supposedly modern helpful tool. P-touch Editor is kind of neat with all the clip art and templates, it has the feeling of old old Microsoft word but formatting is strange and again tedious. I imagine we'll get more comfortable with it as time passes but for now it's hard to get over the annoyance of 4 different user manuals and an hours long software installation process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Works great, a little slow and I can’t get it to print the round labels I got. I have to use the continuous labels and have it cut every 1.5 inches for my grab&go’s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints really bad ! The printer only prints good if you want to print from their app. But if you choose something else word/excel/image/browser to print there are white and black lines on the printed pages. Their customer support is a joke. They are of no help and will shrug you away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great After figuring out how to use this which it took several attempts, it has a useful place in my home. It is fun to be able to add and print addresses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Driver Software is lacking Driver software gives lots of unnecessary error messages such as Wrong Paper Type instead of allowing you to print monochrome on paper that is for 2-color process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast printing, easy to load, clear crisp labels. Brother's QL-820NWB label printer is a solid, hard-working machine. It produces labels consistently and effortlessly. It is well worth the price. The company's software when installed on Windows 10 is more likely to produce an error message than a label. Once a label design that will print is found, you're off to the races.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use the product and software I had little experience with products of this type. It was easy to set up and the software installed seamlessly on my system. I was printing labels in a few minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bluetooth and Battery pack are game changer I love the versatility of the printer, quality is great and the fact that you can purchase an additional battery pack makes it relatively mobile

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother QL-820NWB JCK I bought it because of its WiFi feature as well as other capabilities. However, the directions are very difficult to understand and apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this printer. The printer is compact and very mobile. I carry it to several locations in my facility with it fitting easily in my backpack. I love the blue tooth capability and the battery adapter, so there are no cables to worry with. It has helped to simplify my daily duties and a vital piece of equipment for the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to set up, fairly easy to use. Easy to set up & install the downloadable software. Somewhat tricky to figure out the correct settings for designing & printing as the instructions are somewhat vague...can't search for any specific topic that I could figure out. Support was GREAT in helping me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Product Easy to setup + use for automating our office lobby/sign in process. Our previous badging printer had an error that couldn't be troubleshot so Brother sent a refurbished device and it's been working perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that works Not sure what JCK1 is referring to with "difficult to understand and apply" but everything works as expected and hoped for. I use it for tracking IT inventory and asset tracking as well as other things that need labels. Attached our Excel spreadsheet and works like a charm. You can filter in the P-Touch software and design the labels exactly how you want. The fact it's networked (we use Ethernet but Bluetooth and AirPrint also work flawlessly. Would definitely recommend and support this good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Thermal Printer!! This is a wonderful device! I love the mobile app and desktop application; they both are easy to use and I can print via Bluetooth connection or wirelessly, from each! The labels have come out perfect every time. Definitely a great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why doesn't P-touch Editor work with 64 bit Office I bought the best you had due to the fact that I believed that it would work with Office 19. It doesn't and therefore it has not improved my efficiency. I should have stayed with my QL-550 it's just as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fair with some great features Great features - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The implementation of these features is what is lacking! It doesn't seem like you can just set it up with the Wi-Fi and forget it with it able to be printed to whenever you needed to use it. I am still working on it, though. I am also finding it doesn't accept the older labels of the same type and noticed the new ones, with the same number, have a larger base with more holes which enable the machine to read what label is installed - not acceptable! I kept the machine under the hopes I can learn to use it at a later date but it is VERY EXPENSIVE considering it has only worked for me when plugged directly into the laptop!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer The battery lasts 12 hours and prints clearly. Works with IPADs. Sometimes information doesn't get sent from IPAD which can be annoying and have to forget the device and pair it again. Not sure if it's the IPAD or the Printer. Other than that it is brilliant. Any critics should suggest a comparable printer which has the same features. I would love to know something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Printer Bad Software It took all day to install the software and the Brother website did not help. I kept getting error messages until I finally found a place on the internet that showed how to do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and easy to use It is a great label machine. Not complicated to set up and to use. We bought quite of few of these for our lab, and they are been working great so far. We had a couple machines that the label got stuck. We called customer support and they were able to replace the machines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought to replace a Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo I bought this to replace a dying Dymo 450 Turbo labeler (USB) that is shared. The fact that it is almost the same price and has BT\WiFi & LAN Ethernet was a bonus! Unfortunately, the labels are totally different and do not work with our system properly even tho they both support P-Touch which at the time I thought was a standard labeling system (label format). Brother actually uses their own formats which our system does not work with (truncates the label verbage) I am sure that it is a great printer for general Win\Mac use, but be careful when buying this product to use with a non-standard system, as you are limited to a short choice of label formats! I selected that I would recommend this product to others .... BUT only for regular OS use, UNLESS you have access to 3rd party (external) label setups which we don't.... (also the reason I gave it 3 stars). I wish Brother could help me out with my issue, as this is a waste of a NEW labeler we will never use again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not designed well 20 year IT professional here. I would throw this in the face of the designer and the managers that let this go to market. Issues Lack of robust menu - can not setup network via interface, only generic settings Labels do not tear cleanly - there is no tear cut line and the 2 feed guides on the front (why?! tear of the label Requires extraneous software to manage - there is no reason this shouldn't be all integrated into the menu and or a web interface. Can't view printer info without printing label - that costs me money and is wasteful I spent more time troubleshooting the network on this device than I should have. Every other device of its type has on screen menu ways to look up info and change settings like static network. Seems very little priority to how the customer uses it was taken into consideration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer Purchased this printer because of its 2 color capability. The red tends to blend in with the black giving it a hazey look. The colors look good when printed by themselves. I would recommend the vc500 if you want color although the paper is expensive. If you want red and black printing the paper for this printer is expensive as well. I purchased the battery pack as well it works great for portable operation. I really like the wireless capability and general label printing of this printer. It uses all the same size paper as my 720 printer so I can have different size labels in each printer without changing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have to power cycle the printer every 30 days We have 2 of these printers we have to power cycle both of them because they lose their network and you cannot ping the static IP address. I have updated firmware, changed from WiFi to LAN and I still have the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent little printer Works as advertised. The biggest issue is that when the power goes out, it doesn't automatically reconnect to the wireless network. That's not great. We had to stick a UPS on each one to avoid this from happening if the lights go out for a few seconds.
