The color coded USB Type-C connector allows this adapter converter to be easily identified as a USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) adapter and differentiated from other adapters which may support a different feature set. The USB Type-C connector is smaller than traditional USB connector and features a symmetrical design which allows it to be easily connected on the first try. Additionally, the durability of the USB Type-C connector allows for up to 10,000 connection cycles. This cable supports a data rate up to 5Gbps for data transfer and sync with 5 volts and 1 amp of power for device operation and charging.

Mostly great
Excellent product and works well. Only negative it's too wide and doesn't fit with another device in second C port.

Never even made it to me
I can't review this because it never made it to my house. For some reason, it made it across the country to the next town over and then it went back to the other side of the country. No notifications or anything, I had to hunt it down.

It works.
It's an adapter. I plug into one end, and plug the other end into the computer. It does what it is supposed to do.

Does the trick, though I wish that this adapter was a bit slimmer.

Poor design.
Already broke. The tapered end doesn't protect the insert from bending. Needs a better design. Also doesn't work for charging.

Don't use it. I bought a cabled flexible Multiport to use.
It works but is is a nuisance because it hangs out too far and is inflexible. Thanks fo including it in the pice of the machine. However, most USB mice etc could never be used on these new Dell machines.

Well built adapter
This adapter is just the thing for anyone who wants to use a wireless mouse and would prefer not to have a hub dangling from his laptop. It is of very good quality and performs flawlessly.

USELESS and misinformed
I can't really rate it because it turns out that I don't need it -- certainly don't need two. I was misled and misinformed that I would need them by the salesman through whom I ordered my new laptop. The two adapters he said I would need arrived well in advance of the new computer. He correctly informed me that it had two USB ports that would not work with my wireless mouse and with the many jump drives that I have and I would need these to use both of those on the computer. What he didn't say and enraged me to learn was that the power supply plugs into one of those ports, so there is only one free! I can never use my wireless mouse and memory sticks unless I am using the battery (which, of course, lasts many fewer hours than advertised, even though I am not looking at movies or doing anything that uses much power. So effectively I have one port for which I need an adapter, and guess what? The laptop CAME WITH AN ADAPTER. So I cannot use, have no need for, the two adapters I bought. Conceivably, I could use one -- if I am using a remote mouse or two memory sticks and running on battery power. So far, I have unhappily forgone the wireless mouse.

Adapter stays plugged in tightly - yay!
My previous adapter had begun to fail - wouldn't stay plugged in and my mouse would frequently disconnect. This one is so snug that at first I thought I wouldn't be able to get it plugged in and then I thought I couldn't unplug it. That's fine with me! It stays strongly plugged in and my mouse has not disconnected once. (However, it isn't nearly as cute as my other one.)

Early adopter gadget works great
USB C is very new, it offers an "unkeyed" plug (meaning it can be plugged in either way and offers usb 3 data speeds. I have one of the first phones to use usb 3 the lg nexus 5x this gadget lets me plug my usb sticks into it for use on the phone that has OTG capabilities. If you had a usb 3 cable with USB A connectors on both ends it should be useable for that also. Not all adapters can move data they are for charging purposes only but this one supports both. It works well until cables are more available than they are right now and it also saves you from having to buy usb c flash sticks (although they are available already)

Perfect adapter for small laptops without a USB drive
This works perfectly! I was afraid I had made a mistake with my recent computer purchase when I discovered that it did not have a USB port. I purchased the USB C to USB Adapter, and it seamlessly. I highly recommend this product.
