The LP-E17 Battery Pack, it Does Not Hold a Charge very Well, I Thought that the Battery was Made in the USA? Not in China.. This is Why I Purchased a Battery from Canon!! Thinking it was Made in the United States.

Original Canon battery pack
This LP-E17 battery pack works just like the one that came with my Canon 77D camera. Pricey, but it charges with the same charger and gives me peace of mind when using it in my camera. I find it mandatory to have a spare battery with me at all times, because I never can be sure of when I'll run out of power, particularly on vacation.

I bought this as my backup for my camera. When you spend a lot of money on a great camera, it doesn’t make sense to by a cheap battery for it. Keep your camera working as it should with a factory battery

EP17 T7i Canon Camera Replacement Battery
I use my canon T7i camera for astrophotography and purchased this battery as a back up. Is is an exact replacement to my original that came with the camera. Works great excellent compared to off brand batteries which I learned came sometimes burn out your original Canon battery charger.

Personal opinion, the batteries in the older cameras I believe lasted for more pictures. therefore the extra battery. It is common fore me to take 700 pictures in one or two days.

I always find batteries provided by Canon to be the most reliable and of the highest quality. Substitute batteries by other manufacturers are usually cheaper but disappointing.
