this printer should be illegal
this is one of the printers that memorizes the ink cartridge cartridge you removed and won't let you reinsert it. it's also extremely difficult to get to the black ink cartridge to replace it because it wants to go to the colors in skip the black cartridge when you only need to replace the black. I've always had Canon printers. this is my last Canon printer.

Worst printer ever
Straight garbage. Takes 30-40 minutes to print a document. Constantly in an "error" state. Doesn't matter if I'm printing over wifi or hard wired in. Ink lasts long enough to print maybe 10 pages and replacement ink costs almost as much as the printer. Not reliable at all for business use. Scan feature is the only "decent" thing about it. I'd rather get hit by a truck than have to rely on this printer again.

Great quality and reliability.
This is the 3rd printer I buy same model and not because they fail, on the contrary it is because they are so good and reliable. I originally had one in my warehouse office and another at my home office, but due to COVID-19 and my wife forced to work from home now, we had to buy a third to be able to set up her own office space. Since the other two have worked so reliably, it was a no brainer to get the exact same model again. Great product.

Like many of Canon's products, the set up can be a bit confusing and hard to find (I had to Google everything, but once I got it all set up it's been super easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do double-sided scanning.

Good for the money, I am having trouble with the adf adding a line down every page of that runs through it, whether scanned it printed. Everything else seems to work good though.
I like Canon and the ability to only change 1 specific ink cartridge as neede, versus all the colors at once.

Good printer that wore out
I wore one out over 4 years. Ultimately the print head died. The cost of repair was slightly more than the new printer. Thus I ordered another.
The new one had a paper jam. The paper jam tore the print head sensor strip out. The printer was dead after 2 months. I called Canon and the have replaced the 2720 with a 5720. I am leary of the new printer as reviews are not very good. I accepted the new one because the 2720 was on an 8 to 10 week back order. I cannot be without a printer.

The MAXIFY MB2720 replaced my old Pixma MG8220, which served me well for many years. I was apprehensive about replacing it, but am pleasantly surprised that I like the MB2720 even better. It is quicker and more capable. If the ADF were capable of duplex scanning I would have awarded the fifth star.

I previously owned an HP and was always disappointed with it within a year or less.HP did not give support unless they charge you every time you call them.
I do not have an IT degree and would like to be able to fax, scan and print for work.

Must have patience
You must have the patience of a saint to use this printer. The amount of time it spins and runs while doing nothing is crazy. I have been trying to print a label now for 20 minutes. I was low on ink, so tried to replace the ink. Won't let me. You can only change the ink when it tells you to not when you think you want to, and then each time you change one ink cartridge it takes 5+ minutes to spin and set itself back up. I might be able to get this one simple black and white label printed sometime today, we will see

Great printer
I work in IT consulting and install a lot of printers and was an early adopter of specialty printers such as photo printing. I've installed, set up, serviced and replaced a lot of printers. For home users and small office, Canon inkjet printers are great. This one has individual ink cartridges so you are not wasting any ink. The replacement cartridge costs are reasonable. Canon often comes out with the best per page cost when using the XL ink tanks. If you only print occasionally, many printers have issues with the ink drying in the print head and ruining the printer. I have never had that issue with Canon at low volume sites. This is a great home, home school, small business printer. Network setup was easy. The apps for scanning, etc are good. Document feeder works well.

I have owned this printer for over two years now and I can honestly tell you its the absolute worst. It is constantly on "cleaning mode" which generally takes anywhere from 2-15 minutes. I swear it knows when you're on a deadline and need to print things out, because thats when it decides to take a fifteen minute break to clean itself... It also wont let you use its scanning feature if you are out of ink. do not recommend

Great Features
This printer does it all! People complain that it's slow, constantly in cleaning mode, turns off, etc. If you take the time to read the instructions, all of your problems would be solved.
The unit turns off after a specified time to save energy but once you go to print something, it was automatically turn on. Having separate inks saves money and waste. There's plenty of after market companies selling ink. For the price, you're getting a large machine with tons of features and when it goes in a few years, it's not like you threw a lot of money away. You can't go wrong with this.

Mostly very good, fax and scanning a bit of a disappointment.
Print quality and speed are good. Ease of use is generally fine. I have a problem receiving faxes (something I did not have with the HP this printer replaces. It does quite well at staying connected to the network for both printing and scanning, as does our other Canon printers. Reliable connectivity and print quality are the main reasons I bought it. We are not disappointed. (Our business has had more trouble with HP printers staying connected to the network.) My one major disappointment is that I didn't realize that it doesn't do duplex scanning. Had I known that, I would not have purchased it!

Wow! I love this all in one!
I run a small business and self employed. As such, I have to keep a monochrome laser printer for black and white mailings and also a color printer for advertisement and marketing. I only owned one Canon printer in the past and it was slow because it was more for those who want to print photo quality. I didn't realize that, so I was hesitant to buy this one. HOWEVER, I am so glad I took the chance. This printer is lightning fast. You just have to let it do it's thing for the first page, then it's off to the races. I cannot figure out why some of the reviews say it is slow! Maybe they are written by competitors trying to trash the site. I can only say that what they are saying is not true. It also is great for scanning and copying and the auto duplexing works flawlessly. I will be buying more for sure and hope Canon continues this model. For my business, this is the best inkjet I have owned, and I have owned many, from Epson to HP. This one beats them hands-down. If you are on the fence, take a chance like I did. I can't believe what I got for the price I paid! Thanks Canon!!!

Totally Unsatisfactory Printer
My daughter has an MB2720 at her home and recently bought another for our vacation home. I've had to help her resolve printer issues on & off since she bought them. The issue is always the same -- the machine decides to stop talking to the network and the computer. Every time I have to delete and reinstall the drivers to get it to work. This morning she printed off a check -- no problems. She tried to print a second check and the document got hung up in the queue. I can't cancel the hung document. I've tried everything I know...cancel the document, restart the PC, shut down the printer & disconnect the power cord, prayer, etc. All that's left is reinstalling the drivers and maybe the printer itself. If that fails, all that's left is a full moon sacrifice (I won't do that!. Personal Opinion: this machine has significant technical issues, is cumbersome to install and use, and is the most "user-hostile" printer I've ever used. It might make a useful boat anchor. I've always used HP and Canon has made me glad I've stuck with HP. Now, if I can just get my daughter to go to HP, I won't have to fool with Canon ever again.

Its all in the Settings
I tried scanning a number of old photos. At first I didn`t like the quality but when I checked the DPI, I saw the default setting was 200 dpi. It also defaulted the photos to documents instead of pictures. After changing the setting to 600 dpi, I was quite impressed with the quality and the quality of the printer from both PDF and Word Files. The Ink Cartridges were easy to change and the setup instructions were very clear.

A Very very good printer!
I received a free sample to leave an honest review. MB2720 is an excellent all in one printer. Great for personal use and professional. I have a small business and print frequently. The ink is very clean, clear and vibrant. The print speed is solid as well. Pretty simple to set up. This morning, I did have a hiccup with printing with not standard size paper. It wouldn't grab and my smaller label paper in the first tray and instead grabbed my standard size paper in the 2nd tray. By the way, I do love the fact it has 2 loading trays for paper. Overall, a very good product.

Great printer for the price!
I've been using an HP OfficeJet printer for the past eight years and for the most part had been very happy with it. However, HP has a problem with these and similar printers (even including their big industrial plotters) that causes them to not be able to drive the printhead at a certain age, even after replacing the printhead with a new one. I had this problem on a couple of plotters where I worked and had the same problem with my OfficeJet. Therefore, I decided to replace it with the Canon Maxify MB2720, which gets great reviews.
I've been using the printer for about a month now and it's worked remarkably well. Setup was a bit more difficult than it needs to be, however. Canon includes their quick setup guide, which does a good job showing you what needs to be done physically to the printer once you take it out of the box. However, the procedure for getting it to talk to a WiFi network seems needlessly complex. You're supposed to log into a website, click on this and that, and then it goes out and looks for the printer on the network, etc. etc. Well, I tried that procedure about 3 or 4 times and had no luck. So I went the old fashioned route. I dug into the menu on the printer and found networking setup. It already saw my network and just needed a password. I entered that and boom! Everything started to work perfectly. And being a Macintosh user, the Macs and iPads and iPhones in the house all quickly saw the printer (either via Bonjour or via Apple's AirPrint capability) and worked perfectly.
As others have pointed out, if the printer has gone to sleep it does take awhile for it to wake up and print the first sheet. But if it's awake, it very quickly prints out anything I send to it. My HP had 2-sided scanning, and others have complained that this unit doesn't (which I knew up front), but I seldom used that feature (which never worked that well on the HP anyway). I use VueScan on the Mac for all scanning jobs and the software interfaces beautifully with this printer.
All told I'm very happy with my purchase. We'll see how long the ink cartridges last.

Great All-In-One.
I received a free sample of this printer to review. This Canon replaces an old B&W laser printer/faxer and a color ink jet printer/scanner. While it`s a touch bigger than both, I like that it does a great job in being quick and sharp printing like the laser printer as well as the color printing and scanning. Setting up with the WIFI in my home/office was super quick and easy. I found the general setup pretty straight forward with the small exception of the paper tray install a bit strange and not clear for the initial setup. The scanning has been great and easy to control from my desktop too. The main flaw I`ve not found a solution for is the auto shut-down of the printer. It will turn off after a certain time instead of just sleeping so I have to get to it`s location to turn back on if I need to printer later in the day or the next day. I imagine there may be a workaround for this but I`ve not found one yet. Overall a great fast all-in-one printer that can do the job of two old printers.

Fantastic All-in-One Printer
First off, I want to say that I found this Canon Maxify MB2720 printer to be excellent, reliable and an all-around efficient and terrific home office/business machine. My printing is always perfectly clear, easy to read, non-smudged and quick. The first print comes out really quickly, without a long pause, and/or any hesitation and/or delay. I found the scanner to be easy to use, simple, quick and dependable as well. I was able to scan my documents into multiple page pdf’s without any trouble. I found that this machine scans very thoroughly as well as quickly and efficiently.
In full disclosure, I received this Canon printer for free in exchange for providing my honest opinions and product feedback contained in the following product review.
I was able to print from my phone (Android) using the Canon Print App very easily and intuitively. Some thing to note, you won’t actually see the app show up in your apps once you install it on your device, but when you go to print, it will show up as a print option for whatever you are looking to print. Setting up the Wi-Fi connection was simple and uncomplicated for me as well. After using this printer rather frequently and for a variety of different functions, I really like it and I would highly recommend it as a viable, reliable and productive asset in your home, small business and/or home office. In my opinion, it really does an outstanding job, all the way around.
Now, here are some areas of the printer that I didn’t think so highly about. I found the actual design and/or aesthetics of the printer to be less than favorable and/or appealing. The printer is very large, cube-like, heavy appearing, clunky and boxy. I personally would appreciate a much sleeker and less large, boxy and heavy looking/substantial printer design for my own home work area. I realize that this is a very individual like and/or dislike.
I found the set-up of this printer to be very time consuming and, at times, confusing and not especially enjoyable. My advice when performing the printer set-up is to take your time, be very patient, don’t be in a hurry and follow the directions as best you can, very carefully. There are many different pieces of orange plastic in the printer, in several different areas, to protect it during shipping. These orange pieces of plastic all need to be removed during set-up. They all do actually come out, but the pictures supplied in the directions, I found to be less than clear and very confusing.
Another important and disappointing note of mention - there is not a USB and/or an Ethernet cable included with the printer and, if that is how you plan on connecting it you will need to have and/or get your own. I ended up connecting mine with the USB cable from my previous printer. Along with that, as I have the printer connected with a USB cable, when I click on the “Canon Quick Utility Tool Box” I get the following message when trying to access the “Printer Information” tab in the utility – “Can not display the printer information because the printer is connected with a USB cable. Confirm the information from the operation panel of the printer.” I find this, as small as it may seem, to be very frustrating and annoying. Also, the actual power cord supplied with the printer is short; I found it to be much shorter than my previous printer’s supplied power cord and getting it to reach where I needed to plug it in was problematic.
Another area of concern, the paper drawer, once filled with standard 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper will not/does NOT close all the way. The drawer remains open about 2 inches. I spent a good five minuets playing with the drawer during set-up as I was sure that it some how needed to close all the way. I personally, do NOT like and/or appreciate that the copy paper drawer doesn’t close all the way. Having it always be open, even just the two inches or so, I feel the drawer over time will collect dust and who know what else as the days and months go by. In my opinion, this will become just another area that I will now need to constantly check up on and physically clean it in order to keep it dust and debris-free.
Despite these few areas of disappointment and/or dislike mentioned above, I ultimately find this Canon Maxify MB2720 to be a feature rich, quick, dependable, hard-working, outstanding and over-all, great machine. The print is laser quality and the 500-sheet capacity paper drawer are both outstanding features that really make this Canon model stand out from the rest of the pack. I also really like the 3.0 LCD touch screen as it makes any job and/or task at hand, super easy to navigate and crystal clear.
I am quite satisfied with the work this printer tackles and I confidently and most highly recommend it. In spite of my mostly aesthetic critiques and reservations, I believe the Canon Maxify 2720 to be a great, hard-working, very dependable and highly affordable all-in-one printer that will successfully and reliably take on and tackle all of your home and/or small business document and printing needs with truly outstanding, high quality, professional results and ease.

Another great Canon Product
I'd like to start off with saying that I received this printer as a free item in return for a review. Upon receiving this quite large Canon Printer for my Small Business use I was excited to give it a try. I love gadgets and trying out new things. The output quality of the printer was superb, a lot better than other larger printers I've used in my time. I loved the paper capacity and therefore not having to worry about it running out of paper with the quick print speed of the printer. Moreover I loved the ability to Air Print from my iPhone 6. I am glad that I received this printer free of charge and will continue using this for some time.

Easier Wifi setup
Canon replaced a prior model that kept dropping Wifi, but so far this one looks like it will work out. If you have trouble getting the initial setup, use the point setup on the router. That took care of an initial snag I ran into during setup. Print quality is good, slow to start up when it's been off, but once it's printing it moves pretty fast.

Great machine for the price
I received the Maxify MC2720 at no charge and agreed to review the product in exchange. Setting it up was fine but the instructions could have been a little clearer. It took a bit of time but once I got it going, it was great. We installed it on our work network so everyone could use it. Installing the software locally on my PC was easy. Learning to use the device, a little harder. While the instructions seem to be clear, it took a bit to find the answers I needed. I think a quick USER guide would be helpful. The scanner was on point. Clear colors. Copies were great. Printer printed fast. Great machine for the cost.

Awesome Printer I love It
I was given a free sample of The Maxify MB2720 in exchange for a review. First off this came packaged nicely. Its a great machine. Its very easy to use. Set up was a breeze. I love the touchscreen. This printer makes very nice copies. The only thing is that to me, it could be my system but its very slow to start prints and copies. This is the only fault in this printer. So if you have to print something make sure you have time. There is alot of direction that comes with this machine making it easy to use. It holds alot of paper and seems to be able to manage a great workload. The fax works great as well as the copying. I would recommend the MAXIFY MB2720

Ink problems
I've only had this printer for a couple of months, and I am having ink problems. The cyan is full, but doesn't come out. I have to clean the print heads about 10 times to get any cyan on the paper...and it's poor quality printing, with lines through it. But the machine will NOT allow you to replace an ink cartridge until it is empty.

Canon Maxify MB2720 Printer
I received this free printer/scanner/fax/copier to test out and to give my honest opinion of it.
The product was so easy to assemble. Instructions were so clear and precise.
My favorite feature has to be the scanner mode. Just place your documents in the feeder and scan. Easy to email; documents.
This product meets every one of my needs and the quality was just not what I was expecting from Canon.
I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone but especially for a small business like mine it is just so easy and simple to use for any need i.e. printing, scanner, copying and faxing.
My overall impression of this product is I would highly recommend this product to not only company acquaintances but to my family and friends.
Whether you use this for business or personal use this is one heck of an all-in-one printer.

Gets the job done
I work in a small business and we needed a printer that could handle printing a lot of pages in color, but in High Quality. After a massive amount of printing (a full paper pack and half of another the ink meter finally started going down while still keeping it's quality. We are very satisfied with this printer so far.
The only thing that I run into issues with is finding a value pack of XL cartridges for it. All I am seeing are XL singles and all the value packs are the standard cartridge size.

Great printer!!!
I like this printer a lot. It fits nicely into my office space. It was extremely easy to set up and use. The sheets print pretty fast. When printing and scanning I haven’t had any issue with the paper jamming. It was very easy to connect my laptop to the printer through my wifi connection. I did have a little difficulty with connecting the printer to my mobile phone through the canon mobile app but it eventually recognized the printer. Once connected; this feature turned out to be my favorite. This makes printing documents that I download to my mobile devices effortless. Faxing was effortless as well. The parties I faxed received crisp clear pages. I also like the touch screen feature. It makes accessing the settings quick and easy. The fact that the printer is easy to set up, use, and it has great features makes it an overall great printer. I will definitely be recommending it to my family and friends.

Awful setup support/documentation and ltd features
A printer should not be difficult to setup. I am a Network Engineer and I have gone through several hours on the phone trying to set up my (formerly 2320 replaced by warranty with a 2720) Maxify printers.
Installing a printer should be easy:
-Download drivers
-Connect to network
-PRINT
This is not the case however for the Maxify products. If you think you can simply scan a document then conveniently send it to your email then you are mistaken. You must register your email with the cloud (literature mentions nothing about this) in order to even be eligible to send scans to it. OR you can download their app, run to your computer, put a document on it then run back to your computer to hit the scan button....pretty efficient right?!?
Maybe this printer isn't that bad if the setup works though....WRONG. Every 2 or 3 times i try to print, the printer just hangs. To avoid any sort of blame put on my wireless network, I set up the "Direct Connect" wireless feature with my computer 2' away. While waiting I decided to plant some grass and watch it grow....then the grass passed away and I was still waiting for the printer to connect...STAY AWAY from this model of printers.

Looks nice - but miserable to set up.
I bought the MB2720 to replace my prior Canon Pixima printer. I thought that it would be an easy "plug-in and go", but two days later I am still unable to scan a document or to print via WiFi. I have followed the recommended instructions multiple times to no avail. I am using a new MacBook Pro and a new AirPort, so the other components cannot be to blame. Very frustrating and very disappointing.

A Solid Multifunction Printer
The Maxxify is a solid printer. Some more specific thoughts follow. I should say up front I was provided with a free printer to test, but I would never give a good review to a bad product for that reason.
Set up:
Right off I appreciated the packaging- there was a large plastic bag with handles encasing the Styrofoam that made it easy for me to unpack without the usual wrestling or having to destroy the box. Set up was simple, just putting in a few plugs. I had only one hitch- the design of the paper tray is unique in that it doesn’t slide in flush to the unit- instead it sticks out and another piece becomes the cover to enclose the tray. That part of the assembly had me confounded for a bit, but the manual provided a link to a website with step by step video of set-up, so I was able to pull it up on my tablet and sort it out. They might want to make that clearer- it slowed me down.
My measure of set-up simplicity is do I have to enlist help deciphering instructions- and for the most part I did this one alone. Later I downloaded the drivers etc. to my Mac in order to set up the printer. This went fairly smoothly, though it seemed a lengthy process.
Ink Cartridges:
I separate this out because it’s something you’re going to have to do more than once, so it’s important. I found this an easy process. On a scale of one to 10 of printers I’ve tried, I’d say a 9. When something didn’t fit right, it was easy to tell and only required a little adjusting. The “click” when it’s installed correctly is clear- you’ll definitely know whether or not a cartridge is in correctly.
Performance:
First I installed the app on my tablet: easy-peasy. The first thing I tried printing was a photo of my nieces that came outvery nicely. The quality even just on regular office paper was very impressive. Framed & on a wall you’d never know it wasn’t a regular print.
When I printed a document, it was very clear and the ink was dark. It printed very fast! If the little tray- pull out thing isn’t out all the way the paper will shoot across the room! Photocopies were also high quality.
I think my favorite thing is the ease of printing from each of my devices, and the laptop.
All in all, I’d recommend this printer.

Great printer for my small business!
As a small business owner, I am always searching for more economical ways of running my business. I received this sample printer to review. I was impressed as soon as I opened the box. The ease of assembly for this was amazing. I love the way the ink cartridges go into the printer, ease of use is great. No more ink on my hands for this process!
This printer prints, copies, scans, and faxes, and can print from or scan to a USB thumb drive. I love the larger paper capacity for my large print jobs. It made it easy to set the job and be able to walk away, knowing that it would finish!
It includes an automatic duplexer for two-sided printing. This was very helpful for my complex projects for my clients. I tried using it with color and black and white with equal and impressive success. The quality of the print was laser quality. The speed was very fast for the jobs I did.
On top is the letter-size flatbed, plus a 50-sheet feeder from which you can scan documents up to legal size. The limitation was that it could not do duplex scanning.
I really like the 3" color touch screen menu system, it is very intuitive. There are also physical buttons which include On, Home, Stop, a Back button, and a pair of Start buttons for black-and-white and color scanning.
Since I work in a home office, the ability to print from any AirPrint compatible device made my life much simpler. I was able to access Maxify Cloud Link which had a host of areas where I could upload or download files to the printer directly, even from Google Cloud Print. The variety of tools online was very helpful for my needs.
I have always been very impressed with Canon printers, in fact the one that this will replace was a Canon as well. The price point for this makes it affordable for most home business uses. I will recommend this to all of my fellow small business owners. This printer has strong paper handling, solid speed, a good set of mobile printing features, and above-par output quality as a color inkjet for my office and home printing needs.

Awesome printer!
I received my Canon Printer-MAXFY MG2720 last week in the mail. I agreed to try the printer in exchanged for an honest review on this product. From the get-go this printer was easy to use, right from the opening of the package. I loved how it easy it was to pull the printer right out of the package by using the plastic handles on the bag. It was relatively simple to set up to my already existing PC. The fact that its wireless is great because it can go anywhere inside my home for use. Some of my favorite features include the ability to copy, scan, and fax from the printer. Easy to use features!
The quality of the printing is great, too. We printed various documents to see how they would print and were happy with all of the results. My daughter keeps printing complicated and detailed coloring pages using the printers, she is happy camper.
While I think the printer itself is made well, the paper tray does not seem to be high quality. It seems like it could break easily if dropped or somebody bumped into it because it sticks out from the printer and is not flush with it.
I like the packaging and how it arrived. The printer itself is somewhat bulky looking but compact enough to fit on my desk and not seem too much out of place. It is easy to use, even my five year old can use the printer.
Overall, I love this printer and its features. It will fit nicely into my home office for use with documents, in addition it will come in handy for school usage for my children, too.

WOW
I received a free sample of the Canon Maxify MB 2720 in exchange for my honest review of the product after normal use in my home office. I will start off by saying this is one impressive machine! This unit is an “All In One” printer, copier, scanner and fax each having a plethora of individualized features. The unit comes packaged extremely well with a unique plastic handled bag that allows you to easily lift the printer out of the box without any awkward movements or damage to the unit. I would say this unit weighs about 25lbs and is easy to maneuver. Once unpacked the 1st pamphlet walks you through each step in removing the protective films, tabs & plastic inserts straight through to setting up the on screen display and inserting the ink cartridges, to loading the paper and ending with method of communication/connection. These steps were super easy and guided causing no confusion or question. The 3inch LCD display is clean, colorful and precise allowing for easy use with a tap or swipe of the finger. Once competed I now was instructed via the 2nd pamphlet to go online to download the setup file where I would now install the software needed to connect to my PC’s, again this process was step by step and easy to follow and overall didn’t take all that long. (This process was running while the printer was performing head alignment & cleaning of the ink ports so there was no down time.) Once my Wi-Fi connection was made I was able to print documents and I then set up the fax feature. This feature was crazy simple and within minutes I was able to send and receive faxes without one ounce of trouble. I was now ready to move onto the scan feature. I am a big user of scanning and while the installation of the scanner function was buried in the online manual I was still able to install and perform all my scanning functions. I did spend a little more time on this feature as I wanted to send my scans to a specific folder and it was slightly tricky, but once I figured it out I was thrilled with the results.
Overall this unit is a workhorse and I have found it to exceed and pair well with my personal and work needs. This unit is sturdy and not flimsy at all. The matte black texture, large buttons and clear LCD screen make for a sleek, clean look that can blend in with any room or office décor. After the unit is first turned on manually or once a job is sent to the printer you will have a 2–3 minute delay and may even see the printer status as “offline” but after Wireless LAN connection is found you be “ready” and will have crisp, clean, vibrant, dry, smudge free printed pages within seconds. The printed documents look like they came from a laser printer and printing photos was also very impressive. The ADF is terrific and to date I haven’t had any trouble feeding multiple pages for copying, duplexing, scanning and faxing. The fax function is extremely thorough and doesn’t skip a beat. The fax reports are clean and neat as well. When scanning, you have so many options, you can scan to and from anywhere and anything the options are endless but much appreciated. The 2 paper trays hold both regular and legal sized paper and are easy to load and view availability. The ink tanks are also very easy to install and the levels can be viewed on the LCD display so you won’t run out without notice.
In conclusion, this being my first Canon brand printer and since installing and using this device I am very impressed with this machine. As a woman and a DYI’er I found it very easy to handle, understand and setup. I despise over complicated installations filled with unnecessary bloatware and features. This Canon unit has exceeded my expectations and has surprised me in so many ways. As I continue to use this device and become more familiar with it I am sure I will explore and use some of the features I have never used such as the printing from my mobile device. I would most definitely recommend this device and Canon products in general to anyone who is in search of a reliable product jammed packed with intelligent, useful features.

Good printer; hassle to replace ink
From my experience with the printer, it has been very good and produces high quality printouts. The problem with this printer is that you are unable to replace the ink, even if it is low, and the print quality is bad during this state; you will have to wait until the printer advises you that it needs to be replaced. Good overall apart from that issue.

Cost Effective & Fast
Received this printer for the purpose of review. It is an amazing upgrade from my last home office situation. It has speedy print time/quality for graphics, text and photos. Copies come out fast and crisp. I love that it holds a full ream of paper because I used to feel like I was constantly filling the tray. I actually had to send fax the other day, (in 2016 I know), and it was really simple. The ease of connectivity to all my other devises is a huge bonus. One of the most important issues for me was cost-per-copy/ink cartridge and I found this machine to come in under comparable models and way less than I was spending before. I’ve already recommended to my Mom for her small business. Overall looks good and works great.

Multi-functional personal & small business printer
I am doing this review in exchange for the printer, but it in no way influenced my review. I like that it holds 500 sheets, so I don't have to refill very often or worry about running out. It is great that it is so multi-functional and prints, copies, scans and faxes. It does everything anyone would need for small business or personal printing. I can print photos, and even labels and envelopes, which is very helpful. It is convenient that it also offers wireless printing.

Good printer but difficult to use
I was provided with a free Canon Maxify MB2720 printer in exchange for writing an open and honest review. Here are my impressions after using it for over a week.
The MB2720 was a real pain to set up. For one thing, it's so large that I had trouble even finding a place in my apartment to put it. Secondly, the included drivers and software (both on the printer itself and for my Windows 10 PC are confusing and hard to navigate. It took me at least half an hour of fighting with settings before I printer my first test page.
That being said, once I got the printer working it produced excellent quality images. I printed several more photos than I had intended because they looked so good on glossy photo paper. I have three printers at home and this will definitely be my go-to option for printing photos.
I hesitate to even mention the scanner. While it produces great scanned image quality, it was difficult to nearly impossible to get the machine to scan and save an image to my PC. It worked three times before I couldn't deal with the frustration anymore.
Overall the Canon Maxify MB2720 is a good, well-built printer that produces great looking pictures. However the user interface and provided software are so frustrating that I can't recommend it to casual users.

Low Quality scanning results
Quality of the scanner in this is not what I expected. When color images with pictures scanned it turned in the very dark color.
And even I wanted to printing in black and if other cartridges are out of ink I will have to replace all colors with low ink even though I just wanted to print in black color. That makes this printer very costly to operate.
Very disappointed about it and going to buy an replacement.

Focus Point Review
I received a free sample printer from Canon Corp. model MB2720 to review. The printer was very easy to setup and the instruction where pretty straight forward. After making the proper connection and loading the ink cartridges the printer was up to quickly spitting out all that I was sending to it. The front touch features where nice and very responsive. Over all I would recommend this printer. One of the features that I didn't like was the paper trays which to me seem to be a little fragile with all the flip up parts. But overall for a small office setting this printer is well worth the investment

Excellent Printer Quality and Easy to Use!
I recently had the opportunity to use and evaluate the Canon Maxify 2720 “All in One” Printer, Scanner, Copier, Fax machine. This was sent to me as a free sample for the purposes of this review. All in all, my experience with the Maxify 2720 was a very positive one! It arrived with minimal packaging and well organized setup materials and connecting cords. The “Getting Started” materials (No. 1 & 2) and instructions were clear, concise, simple and well illustrated, and I was on my way to connecting to my MacBook Pro laptop and I-phone wirelessly in no time. The ink cartridges (four - b&w; cyan; magenta & yellow) were easy to install and the general setup/instruction procedures which are navigated on an easy to use 3.0 LCD touch screen menu was easily accomplished. As I mentioned, I connected wirelessly using the LAN cable modem in my home. My wife was also able to connect easily this way to her I-Mac desktop. Of course, you can also connect directly to your computer using a USB cable (thought this was not provided). I also connected to my I-Phone, once downloading the Canon app available for free. This ability to access the Maxify remotely from a mobile device is a really nice feature! This is available for Android devices as well and of course there was similar guidance (included CD-ROM) for Windows software. There are also instructions on how to connect using a wired LAN connection and any number of connection scenarios depending on your work or home environment. As for the print quality, I found both the black & white and color copies and printouts to be crisp, clear and vibrant with good resolution on photos and in general. Features I particularly like: the “fit to page” and “double sided” printing and copying! The print/copy speed is excellent: Black: 6”; Color: 7” and with the XL (high page yield cartridges) the yield is Black: 1,200 pgs. Color: 900 pgs. The black print is very close to laser quality, especially when choosing the “high quality” setting on the touch screen menu. The scanner works efficiently and easily with many image options, and one can scan legal size documents. The printer has dual cassette paper trays that hold 250 pages each and can be adjusted to accommodate various size paper, envelopes and labels. The 500 page capacity is excellent, though the trays have to stick out a little more than I am used to in order to accommodate the paper size. However, this is a minor issue depending on the space you have to house the printer. Maxify also has the ability to connect to the Google Cloud Print. The fax setup/hookup was easy (telephone cord provided) and I was able to send and receive successfully. The fax stores in its memory faxes not sent or incomplete for whatever reason, and provides the usual report history of faxes sent and received. This history is also memory protected when there is a power failure or disconnection of the main power source. One can download a good basic manual and there is a more comprehensive manual available on-line with additional feature guidance. The Maxify MB2720 is an excellent All in One printer for home use and/or small business office and I highly recommend it!

Impressive All In One Printer
I have gone thru many printers both in my business and home use. I was sent a free sample for this review and have found the Canon Maxify MB2720 to be very easy and versatile to use. Setup was so easy my 10 year old set it up for me, really. The color copies were almost identical. I have yet to have paper jams like many copiers before. I use the double sided print feature all the time and it has never failed, flawless. After installing the app on all devices, my entire Family prints from just about anywhere, I love this feature. Now my 1-one suggestion is Canon make a cartridge that never runs out of ink-that would be a super plus for revenues. Thanks Canon an overall great printer.

It's been about a week since I've began using this amazing home office printer! I simply love how this one machine is handling all of my printing, coping, scanning and faxing needs. The assembly and connection process took about 30 minutes and was pretty simple.I was able to connect all of my documents via my google cloud drive and also connect it to my router. The printer is wireless and I can print from my computer, tablet and even my I Phone. I usually scan and print many documents on the daily basis and loved how fast the whole process takes with this printer. I enjoyed how quickly I can print from my google drive and print directly from my phone e-mail. I also tried few color images and was amazed by the quality. I received this item as a free sample, but I would recommend this efficient machine to anyone who needs fast and simple way to mange multi tasking in their home office.

Best printer ever for the money!
I received a free printer in exchange for writing a review, overall I believeit is the best and easiest to use printer I have ever owned.
Copy quality - the copy quality on regular paper is great however it doesn`t do glossy picture paper so well.
Print time - I created a 20 page document with blue text, it only took a couple minutes to print the entire document.
Setup - the setup was super easy although a couple of the pictures telling me to remove the plastic shipping pieces were not so clear in conveying exactly how to pull the piece out but nonetheless it was not a real issue.
Network connection - This was super easy, I simply pushed the connect button on my router.
Scanner - the scan feature is easy and fast which is a surprise as many copiers slow to a crawl when scanning.
Ink usage - many printers claim to be efficient when it comes to ink but as soon as you begin using color they run out after less than 100 sheets. I printed in color regularly including pictures and my ink levels have only slightly decreased.
Information screen - the info screen has all you need an is also easy to understand.
Paper tray - sometimes when the paper tray runs out its a bit annoying to get the printer to print again, that was not the case with this printer it immediately recognized the paper was there and began to print.
My favorite feature was BEING ABLE TO EASILY PRINT FROM MY SMART PHONE AND TABLET!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO.
This product not only meets my expectations, it exceeds my expectations. It is really efficient when printing in color and will definitely save me money on ink cartridges. I have recommended this product to my friends already who have home offices, they are very envious and are looking to purchase one for themselves. overall this is a 5 star printer as I haven`t found anything that needs to be improved.

Big but useful
Note: I received a free sample of this printer to review.
My first impression of the printer was that it was very large. When I took it out of the box, I noticed its size as well. Before purchasing this printer, one would have to consider carefully whether it would fit in the space available. The Maxify MB 2720, thus, is really intended for the small business customer not so much the home office customer unless he has a large office in which case he would be more of a small business owner; this is due to both to its weight, something on the order of 20 pounds, and its size, much larger than so-called desktop printers I`ve seen.
The box itself is enormous and does not fit on a standard-sized shelf (at least I wasn`t able to get it do so); it`s clunky and hard to move.
I don`t see any reason why the printer could not be substantially smaller and still accomplish the same functionality; a lot of the `space` the printer occupies seems to be taken up by plastic that has no apparent value.
On the downside, the printer does not come with its own USB cable; so if that were how you wanted to connect the printer, you would have to have had your own.
Finally, as I think someone may have said, the cord is a little on short side and while that did not pose problems for me I could see how it could.
It is easy to assemble; the hardest thing is getting it out of the box. After that, it`s a breeze.
Turning to its functionality, the printer, copier and scanner (I didn`t have a chance to use the fax) all perform flawlessly; I particularly appreciated that the scanner could scan legal size documents; printing is fast and of very high quality (given the machine`s price).
Another thing I like is the ease of printing from devices (other than desktop/laptop) -- the process is very smooth and flawless.

Great printer for a home office or small business.
My initial impression of the Canon MAXIFY MG2720 printer is that the box and the printer are HUGE. I received the printer as a free sample and was quite surprised at not only the size but the quality of the printer.
Unboxing - The printer and the box are a solid 30 pounds, but the box comes with cutout handles so that makes it easier to carry. The printer is solidly packed therefore, there were no scratches or blemishes. I would highly recommend to open the box from the bottom and then slide the box off the printer instead of opening the printer from the top and trying to pull the printer up.
Setup - The printer setup was relatively easy and straightforward. Since Canon official name for the printer is MG2720 Wireless Home Inkjet, I chose to set it up via wireless and the printer found my network easily. The printer has the option to connect via ethernet or direct USB also. No problems with the setup. The ink is an easy installation and replacement ink is about $40 for all the ink cartridges. The 3" display is crisp and allows great control of the printer. The printer did hold a 500 sheet pack of paper split between the two drawers and did not have a problem pulling thicker stock paper.
The good part of the test- Printing - The test page came out crisp and clear in less than 10 seconds from hitting the ok option. Printed a 3 page MS Word resume in 22 seconds with multiple fonts nicely. Powerpoint printed graphics cleanly. The only negative I noticed is that within the powerpoint there were some small (8) fonts that did not print as clearly as the rest of the page. Excel spreadsheet lines printed straight and true. The picture printout is excellent for home and even fine for a business need, but is a little distorted on the part of the image with a bright sun; though, the blue of the ocean was a perfect shade in the picture. The wireless printing worked fine and even picked up a print request from an iMac located upstairs quickly.
Scanning - The printer will hold about 50 normal pages to go into the automatic feeder on top to scan. The scan will only scan the front automatically which is fine for what I would need, but be aware of this limitation if you have a need to scan a lot of both sided papers. Also the scanner did not seem to like thicker 88lb stock paper, but it did pull the document in and scan to my Dropbox account.
Conclusion - This is a great printer for a home office or business. The printing is quick enough that you will not be waiting around for the printout even with graphics and lots of colors. Despite being an inkjet printer, the quality of the printout is excellent for business needs.

Does the trick!
To begin, I must disclose that this review is based upon receiving a free sample of this printer, and is still unbiased. That being said, the Canon Maxify MB2720 does what it says it does! I quite often work from home, and though I try my best to diminish my carbon footprint, the nature of my business requires using a printer. This is a great printer for business and personal. The quality of copies and scans are sufficient for my needs, though some images could be a bit more vibrant. In terms of maximizing efficiency, and space, this is exactly what I need for my business needs. I would suggest this for a small office or home office of less than 8 or so people. I have yet to utilize the smartphone features, but definitely see myself doing that in the near future.

LOVE with only one complaint
I bought this all in one machine for my home office. I needed a machine that would print (in color) from google drive, copy double sided pages, & scan (double sided pages) to google drive. I chose this machine based on those features. The double sided is where it falls short. While in the store, I noticed that the machine had a 2 sided option & this was one of the biggest reasons that I chose this machine, however this feature is misleading & in my opinion incomplete. This machine does not have the ability to scan double sided from the automatic document feeder therefore it does not copy double sided documents from the automatic document feeder either. It has the ability to scan a stack of one sided sheets & then combine them into a stack of double sided sheets, so it skips the back sides of the originals. This is not an efficient way to copy.... This would make a great secondary feature, but it doesn't make any sense if I am trying to copy or scan multiple pages that are already double sided.... The machine does have the option to scan one double sided sheet on the glass top scanner part, but you must position the sheet, scan the first side, then open the lid to flip the sheet to scan the other side & then it will print it double sided. Again this is NOT an efficient way to copy/scan multiple pages of double sided documents... I am most unhappy about this imperfection & that is THE ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars. This feature is worth 2 stars for me. I will be looking to exchange it for another model (if there is one) that actually scans multiple double sided sheets from the ADF. Otherwise I LOVE THIS MACHINE. Others have complained about the size, but I don't mind it. If you want a work horse like this machine, you have to expect it to be large.... Frankly I love how big it is. It is exactly what I wanted/expected in every other way except the double sided issue. I love the touchscreen, I love the beeps indicating your screen selection, I love the compact and easy to install ink cartridges, I love that the paper trays expand, I love the flexibility of printing source options, I love the quality of printing/scanning. I love how fast it is. I love that it is black. It is a beautiful machine. On a side note the physical set up wasn't too bad, but programming was a bit of a pain & instructions weren't as clear as they should/could have been. I was able to figure it out though... PLEASE FIX the misleading double sided issue & keep the current 2 sided option as a secondary feature, but PLEASE add the ability to scan multiple sheets of double sided from the ADF!!!

Great Support
I purchased this printer about a year ago to replace an HP all-in-one that I had been quite unhappy with. (I had great expectations for the HP.... having used them exclusively for years). Anyway I was thrilled with the performance of the MB2720 and it worked flawlessly for about a year.
I then experienced a failure and was really bummed... for about 5 minutes. I called Canon customer support and the friendly tech asked me to try a few simple things and then announced he wasn't going to be able to remedy my problem over the phone and that he was going to send me a new printer! I was completely stunned. I don't know of anyone that supports their products like this anymore. Two thumbs way up for Canon customer support!

Printer not suitable for home office
This printer does not work properly after the starter ink needs to b changed. The print heads get clogged even when using official CANON cartriges and the unit requires constant deep cleanings that use up A LOT of ink. The unit will eventually completely stop printing. In each case it was just over the year warranty period. You cannot change out an ink cartridge until the unit tells you to and that program malfunctions.

Would not buy again..
Printing quality is ok but overall the printer is cumbersome to use, difficult to set up for 'odd sized' paper, loading paper requires extra (and in my opinion unnecessary steps!. Pressurized ink cartridges allows change out when and only when the printer says you can. I've used a lot of printers over the years, many different brands and have never seen this before? Had to return entire printer once because it kept saying black ink was out when it wasn't and it would not 'accept' any new black cartridges. What?? To Canon's credit they sent new printer quickly and took back old printer and paid for the shipping both ways. My suggestion make changing out paper and ink more user friendly!

Amazing Printer!
I received this product for reviewing purposes and I absolutely love it! I connected to my iPhone and printed a ton of pictures using picture paper. The printer prints extremely fast unlike other printers, and it was really easy to assemble and get it started. Overall it is now a printer that I'd recommend to anyone who's looking for a printer that has great quality. On top of it being a printer or great quality it also have many other feature such as faxing, scanning and cloud printing. If you're on the edge about getting it I'd recommend it, although I received this product for free for reviewing purposes if I had to I would purchase this with my own money. This is a great printer and Canon really hit it on the head with this printer!

Great for a small home office
I received a Canon Maxify MB2720 printer free in order to test it and complete a review. I am an independent contractor working for 2 small businesses and I am based from my home office. I use my printer (and this printer) about half of the time for work and half of the time for personal needs.
This printer is much larger than my previous printer although for all of the features the size is reasonable. I used the printer for printing, copying and scanning. It also has fax features which I don't use and did not test.
The printer was easy to set up out of the box and easy to connect to my computer. The device has a touch screen for choosing features and it is quite intuitive and easy to use. It holds 500 sheets of paper which means I spend less time refilling which is convenient. It prints quickly, accurately and in great color. For copying and scanning, there is an edge guard which makes it easy to line up documents properly. The images come out very well.
My old printer was a personal printer that I used in grad school. It was also able to scan and copy as well as print but everything took much longer and it was more difficult to align things well. This Canon printer is fast and efficient. I think it will save me time because I will be able to do more things from home that I used to have to go out to an office supply to complete, like color copying. I can print larger documents quickly which saves me time with work.
The printer is well made, the buttons are large and easy to use. I am very pleased with this printer.

Great Experience
I got a free sample of the Maxify MB2720. I found that the setup and use of the printer to be beneficial to my business needs. I was able to get it set up and get the printer working with multiple computers from my desktop to my laptop computers. I have even seen the pleasures of using the multiple trays for different sizes which makes my job of printing posters with much ease. It did take some time to get the printer to recognize the wifi connection after it goes to sleep but I can see how it is helpful in the feature. I have even set it up with my cloud storage for printing items that are stored. I can see how the scanning of documents has been easy without any difficulty. Overall, I find this printer to be better than the one I purchased for my office.

Zips through ink.
At only 15 months old, this machine already zips through ink. Right after replacing the cartridge, after it “processed” and 6 copies were printed, the new ink cartridges went down by 25%. The following day, after ONE color print, the new yellow ink cartridge was showing to be almost gone! The indicators showing ink levels may be malfunctioning as well since it does manage to print about another three dozen copies before running out. Ink lasted a long time until a couple months ago.
I have a single-person home office with a small amount of use, mostly in B&W. The quality or ease of working with the machine is reasonable for my use. And the tech fellow I worked with to set it up was great to work with.
However, the technician I talked with 3 weeks ago regarding the issue with ink use had no insight. He just had me unplug it, wait a minute before re-plugging and turning back on to re-boot. (He was unfriendly and surly to boot, fortunately not the usual Canon employee.) There was no change in its appetite for ink, so it was a waste of 40 minutes of waiting for tech service then working with him. Recently I noticed the machine takes a very long time, about 4 minutes, to process after replacing ink and after the power has been disconnected. It chugs away, using ink.
I expected this printer to be at least close to the trouble-free Canon I had for 23 years. (My family and I have also enjoyed their cameras.)
Thinking the new machine would have similar durability, I didn’t buy an extended warranty. My mistake.
Let's just say this nifty, multi-function laser printer/copier is not the same quality as my first copier. Keeping it in ink is very expensive and it will need to be replaced.

Printer for home office
I had a Canon Maxify 2320 printer for three years. I replaced it several months ago with Maxify 2720. It is similar to what I had. I could not find in an office supply store so I ordered online. Happy to say it gets the job done! Thanks Canon!

Nice All in One Printer for the Money
Before I begin my review, I want to mention that I received a free printer in exchange for my honest feedback. Receiving the complimentary printer did not sway my opinion in one direction or the other.
First of all, the Canon Maxify MB2720 came just in time because my Dell printer was pretty much ready for the grave yard. I think in today`s world of disposable living, the 3 years of home use I got out of it was like a life time in electronic world.
We happily set the Canon printer up in our home office, which took about 30 minutes. Nothing ever goes as planned, so there were some minor setting adjustments that needed to be done beforehand. The computer walks you through all this. If you are somewhat tech savvy, this will not be a big deal. This printer is a little larger than I would expect for home office use, but it seems that everything is oversized today. The paper tray juts out a little bit, so be sure that you have room on your desk or find a side table. The Canon printer is wifi capable, so I can print from all my devices, it puts out clear and bright copies, however, it uses more ink than I would like. That is a negative, but it is an inkjet, so that may be expected. I love the ease of faxing, the numbers are saved for future faxing. Photocopying is lightning fast, no paper jams, so far.
If you are looking for an all in one printer with wifi capability, nice touch screen, at a good price point for home use, then the Canon Maxify MB2720 is the one for you.

Great printer for a business owner.
This is a pretty awesome printer. I have a small home business and I feel like it easily meets all my needs. I did receive this printer for free in exchange for my review.
Pros:
1) Connectivity - I was able to connect my laptop, desktop, and phone to the printer so that I can easy churn out some fresh printed pages. I can also use the scanner from my phone, so I can take documents with me on the go. I wasn't able to connect it to my Kindle, which was disappointing, but the app support from Kindle leaves something to be desired anyway. For the phone, simply look for the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
Another cool thing is that I was able to plug a thumb drive into the front of the printer and print photos super easy. Just swipe through the menu on the display panel and choose your photo of choice.
2) Display Screen - I love that I can easily swipe through the menu to change settings or troubleshoot if the printer runs into an issue. With my old printer, I'd have to access it on my computer through the control panel, which was a pain. With this printer, all I have to do is scoot over to the printer display and tap away.
3) Fast Printing - Once the printer gets up and going (turned on and ready), this thing spits out printed pages super fast. Also, with a quick setting change, you can print double sided sheets to save on paper. It has also been great for printing shipping labels for my products. The tray easily adjusts to different size paper inputs as well as envelopes. Sweet.
4) Nice Quality Printed and Scanned Items - This printer does great with conveying detail on paper. Tiny pictures and text come out crisp and clear. The ink is also smudge proof. I have pulled a freshly printed sheet out of the printer and rubbed it to see if it would smudge. Nope. Also, the ink stands up to a highlighter-- no bleeding or smudging.
Scanning is also easy to pull off and picks up a good bit of detail. This is wonderful for scanning signed contracts to keep on file.
Cons:
1) Takes a Bit To Get Going - If you haven't printed for a few hours, it takes a while for the printer to get started. First it has to wake up, as it automatically turns off to save power (see my recommendation below). I also find that it takes more time than I like to pick up the wifi signal and start printing. My printer is seated right next my computer, mind you, and it's still sluggish.
2) Size - This is a beefy printer. It's weight makes it feel like it can stand up to a lot, but I'm not entirely convinced that this printer couldn't have been designed to be more compact.
Suggestions & Tips:
1) Setting up the printer (installation of the software as well as assembling the printer) was pretty straight forward. I did get a little confused at points, but overall I'd say the setup was moderately easy. You can expect installation to take about 30-45 minutes. Software can be installed from a disk or from an online download which is great just in case you lose your disk.
2) I would definitely recommend changing the power settings. By default, the printer will turn off after a while and will not turn on again until you press the "on" button. To change this, hit the home screen button on the display > swipe right to the last page > select Eco Settings > enable auto power control > next > auto power on.
3) While I don't need it yet, ink for this printer does seem to be reasonably priced. I have been using another brand of printer for most of my life and find that the ink for this particular Canon printer is less expensive than what I'm used to. Yay!
Final Thoughts:
I'm happy with this printer overall. I do wish I took a bit longer to get up and running, but it shoots out pages super fast, scans like a boss, and meets all my business needs. This printer makes me feel like printing and scanning will be a business task that I can achieve with ease. I'd definitely recommend it to other small business owner.

User friendly
First, I want to mention that I received this printer free in exchange for this review. The printer was very easy to set up. It has a touch screen that is very easy to read. It is compact and fits easily into a small space. Doesn`t make much noise. I like that the screen always indicates ink levels. Black and white copies are quick and look crisp. Feeder works well and holds up to 50 copies. Works well from my tablet as well. Only drawback so far is the color copies. Although they look good and crisp, and the colors are mostly very true, one blue was a bit light. However, they take a very long time. Except for the time the color copies take, I`m very happy with it and would recommend it.

Had Trouble at First!
If only I bought this printer sooner! I bought this printer mid 2018, I did have problems setting it up at first. I just needed to be patient with myself and the instructions. Depending on how the printer is connected to the internet makes a BIG difference. I originally found this printer to be extremely slow. I called Canon and they helped me connect my printer to WIFI instead of DC. Now it prints fast and doesn't make so much noise. When scanning I didn't realized I needed to use the Canon IJ Scan Utility, I learned that the hard way. I haven't had any problems since. This printer satisfies my needs. The ink doesn't last as long as I would like but I'm still satisfied. I got exactly what I paid for.

Overall an Excellent Printer
I received this printer as free sample in exchange for my review. The box is quite heavy and the printer is large. But because it is geared towards a home office or small business, space shouldn't be an issue. Out of the box the instructions are fairly simple to set up, I didn't have any problems. It does not come with the USB or ethernet cable. The printer has a touchscreen which is easy to use. The paper tray sticks out a little, but it does holds large amounts of paper, which is great. Printing is really quick and comes out extremely clear. The scanner function is simple to use as well. Remote access from my mobile devices is a nice feature. Printing photos is a breeze. Overall I'm highly satisfied with this printer and would recommend it to small business owners or home office users.

Super Printer
The Canon Maxify MB2720 only took a few minutes to set up. The instructions were easy to follow and I was printing within minutes. The copies are clear and crisp and color is quite good.
I am very satisfied with this printer and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a home office.
My only criticism is I wish it was smaller and didn't take up as much space. I am writing this review after receiving a free sample for providing an open and honest review of the product.
However, I think this printer is reasonably priced and would purchase another one if I needed it.

Easy to set up, easy to use!
I received a free printer in exchange for an honest review.
It came in a large bag inside the box so that you can grab the handles of the bag and pull the printer out easily. I`m not sure if this is standard, but it was nice to be able to easily remove the printer from the box.
It was surprisingly easy to set up! I hate setting up electronics. I am a rare breed of millennial that is only mildly tech savvy. However, the printer came with instructions that were easy to follow, though I would have liked more worded descriptions rather than just pictures. The printer trays had to be expanded to fill with letter size paper, but the picture on the instructions was unclear (to me anyway), so some actual words would have been nice. The ink came in nice compact cartridges, easily distinguishable and with no leaks.
I set it up so that I can print wirelessly from my phone and my laptop. It literally took only a few clicks on each device and that was it! I didn`t even use the instructions for this part, only because I had left them downstairs at the time and I was lazy. For the laptop, I simply googled `Set up Canon Maxify MG2720`, to download the device software from the Canon website. Done. For my phone, I googled the same thing, which led me to download the app. Piece of cake. I tested each out to make sure I could print wirelessly from each device, and they both worked perfectly!
The print quality seemed good. I don`t use it for printing large color photos, just school and office work. Works perfectly for what I use it for. Overall I am extremely satisfied!

Maxify Magnificent
I was given a Canon Printer Maxify MB2720 in exchange for my opinion. Just for the opinion good or bad. That is the deal. Now, if this product is rubbish in my eyes you will soon know it also. So here we go!
Know that you are getting a truthful review. Wasting time and resources is never a good thing. So with that being said, the Canon Printer Maxify MB2720 is fast and faster. It is a great system for single businesses or small businesses. I would say keep the number of workers to under 18 for maximum efficiency if this is the only printer. Now, this is an all-in-one color ink-jet. So copying, faxing, printing and scanning are all in a days work! This has Maxify Printing Solutions tech which means it is easy to share and print information directly from your compatible tablet or smart-phone through popular Cloud
services. This printer can connect to a network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and directly to a computer via USB. You can also use the driver. Connection is easy. No super tech knowledge is necessary. You can print from your mobile or tablet and you can upload scanned documents to Evernote,DropBox,Google Drive and OneDrive. It also supports Google Cloud Print. This Canon does not support automatic two-sided scanning and it also lacks Wi Fi direct connectivity and its equivalent. The results are crisp and look like productions from higher end printers. The running costs of this printer are low and this printer actually replaces a discontinued model. You can also use an USB to send information to and print from.To sum all of this up,price-wise this is a low end model. Performance-wise this is a mid-tier bonanza. Good speed, low running costs, good output quality and good looking prints and work. If you are looking for a good reasonable priced performance machine, look no further!

Great printer for small businesses!
As a business owner, it's very important that I have a reliable printer for my day to day printing needs. I've purchased Canon printers in the past and been quite pleased with them, but was currently using a different brand when I received this Canon printer as a free sample in exchange for a review.
While I use my printer daily, I don't print in large volume, so my needs may be a little different than other business owners. The first thing I noticed was the size of the printer. I must say this printer is a lot larger than the printer I was using prior, and because I have such a small office it did take up more space than I initially wanted. With that being said, the quality of the printing more than compensated for the size of the printer. I found the assembly and connecting to wi-fi to be fairly straightforward and simple.
Some of the things that are important to me as a business owner when it comes to printers, is the speed at which it prints (I was happy with this), the quality of the printing (very pleased with this) and lastly the additional functions like scanning and faxing (again happy with this.)
All in all, I'm glad I've made the switch to this printer and would definitely recommend it to other entrepreneurs and small business owners who are looking for an affordable print option for their office. While I don't print in large volume, it seems to support the capacity to do so for business owners who do in fact print more.

lots of features
I bought this printer after looking around some at other brands. I did not get an __ this time as I got so aggravated at speaking to foreign reps whom I could barely understand. Unfortunately my Pixma former printer quit after 4 years and I was advised that repair would cost as much as a new one and had to be sent out. The Max MB2720 has many extra features that might be great for some users. I don't even know what air printing is and don't plan to use wi-fi or other devices with it, I bought it mainly for the 3 main uses- scanning, printing and fax. I am a volunteer secretary and also use it for myself. This printer is quite heavy to carry but once set up not too hard to use the basics. I could not download the drivers by computer or disk and had to get tech help. I never realized that the manual is so long about 1,000 pages(and online only) and includes instructions for Mac and Windows and all other gadgets. instead of a separate one for each. It makes it time consuming to find specific information and way too many pages to print.I did get phone help with a great Canon rep after finally getting the correct phone number. Kind of confusing for a brand new user of printers and all-in-ones, used to having the manuals on hand with the printer.
Over all it prints well and fast, (slow to start) after it is awake. I prefer a simpler all-in-one but was worried it might not be as good or last long. I have not yet tried pictures or scanning to a file on my computer but unlike my former Pixma I hope it doesn't disappear somewhere to it's own file. Wish the screen was larger too and had more information. I usually use the printer/fax individually and not so much with the computer command but it is hooked up. New at this one so might feel better and more confident once I get more familiar.

Nothing but problems
I bought this printer in January of 2018 and I have had nothing but problems since I purchased it. I have had to had it replaced once and I have spent countless hours on the Cannon help line trying to get it to work. Replacing the ink always cause it to crash in some way and its newest trick is jamming constantly.

Impressed
Great product overall. Very fast printing in both color and black. I was a bit intimidated by the size of it coming out of the box, but set up was relatively painless (driver wouldn't load on my Mac the first few attempts), but it syncs wirelessly so that I can print from an iPad or mobile phone once configured. It has the ability to scan as well, which works perfectly for my family. I would definitely encourage anyone that is looking for a fast powerhouse to consider this Canon product.

Great Features!
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to assemble the Canon MAXIFY MB2720 printer. As a person who usually has problems in this areas, I considered it quick and painless. I received a free sample of this printer to review and overall love it, especially it`s speed in printing. The printer that we already own, which isn`t very old, isn`t nearly as fast. I also like the ease with which I can print from my phone. I use my smart phone almost as much as I use my laptop for my small business so this is incredibly helpful. No problem at all with copying; colors are vibrant. I had a bit of a problem with scanning as the printer couldn`t find the laptop. With the help of my tech guru, aka husband, I had hoped we could figure out the problem. We couldn`t so had to contact tech support to fix the problem. The footprint of the unit was slightly bigger than I expected but fit in my space beautifully. Overall, would definitely recommend this printer!

Not a great printer
I bought this to replace a 15 year old HP, would rather have my HP back. Very loud on normal run, REALLY slow if you put to quiet settings. Ink is cheaper, but goes quick. Not easy to program, manual isn't helpful.

Terrible, terrible product quality
I have owned my MB2720 for over a year, less than two. Suddenly, it started giving me an error about a paper jam every time i printed one page - if i was lucky. Sometimes it wouldn't if print the page. Tried a number of internet fixes, then gave up and called Canon support. Yes, paper jam, due to a paper sensor that is no longer working. And which is not fixable, even with a factory return. This is a pretty big printer, with nice print quality. I bought it specifically because the ink, tho' expensive, was less so than many. But an unfixable paper sensor that reports a paper jam when none exists? No. Just no. This was my last Canon printer. That is mighty unacceptable.

Error 7100 during Set Up
I bought this printer and went through the initial set up--removed orange tape, removed protective materials, turned on to set up language and immediately got Error 7100.
