Doesn't stay connected to wi-fi and can't get it connected again
When I first installed the G620 printer it worked fine but the UI is very small font and difficult to use. After a few weeks I started getting connection errors and it wouldn't print, probably about 1/2 the time. Now it just is offline and I can't get it back on Wi-Fi. Tried troubleshooting tips. I may just throw this out and buy an HP.

No happy with this!
I brought this a year ago and now it won't print my color pictures. I have done everything, follow all the intrusctions to make it work it just won't print. I bought ot to make my yearly family calender a gift for my family. Now I have to go buy a new one but not this brand very disappointing for the 300 price I paid.

Worth Every Penny!
Absolutely worth every penny. I own two Epson printers one ink tank and the other cartridges. The ink tank was the standard magenta yellow and cyan model. The cartridge is the 7 color model. This Canon produces better colors than both of them. True gray background reproduction of my studio shots is the most important to me as I print proofs for my clients to purchase from. This canon is perfect every time. I also want to point out that canon let's you purchase a maintenance cartridge so your printer doesn't become a door stop. Great job Canon!

Needs a phone software update
The printer is fantastic...when it works. There is some issue or bug with the phone software. It may give the printer false errors. Sometimes it took me 20 minutes. However when there are no software issues. Very clean and quick printing

Great printer for documents, photos and cardstock for crafting
One of the key things I like about the printer is no cartridges. So far it looks like it hasn't use any ink and I have printed both photos and text. I've also been able to print on 80 lb (216 gsm cardstock for using with my cricut and also cutting down for my handmade cards. This printer handles everything I have told it to print with no issues.

Good printer
Nice little printer but very noisy. It also has such a small, dark screen that makes it hard to manage your printing using the printer screen. Setup was relatively easy and the quality of the printing appears to be very good. I have only printed black and white, so far, so cannot comment on the color printing capabilities yet.

Best photos printer,, save money on ink
Just got bought this printer easy to setup, easy to fill the tanks. It prints as good as my old Canon TS9020 , high quality photos and good documents too. No duplex. Missing the LCD screen like my 9020 had. Thousands of prints and Low price ink refills will save you hundreds over the years. Dont buy the 4 ink megatank buy this one, 6 ink photos are much better

Very happy with quality and service
Happy with it so far, but haven't had time to do photo printing/art projects yet so my review can only cover the quality of printed matter, which is good, and that I do love the larger quantity of ink. On install, I needed support help, and was relieved to have had help from a most kind and knowledgeable tech. Overall, extremely happy with Canon products and service (I also own a small Canon "Power Shot" camera). I'm glad that I made this purchase.

Amazing Quality!!
As an avid scrapbooker, I bought this printer to help save money on ink costs. On my old Canon printer, I could print maybe 50 or 60 photos before one of my ink cartridges was out. After getting this printer, I tested it out with my old printer to compare the differences. No calibration was necessary to get this printer to print amazing quality photos from the first print. This printer compared to my old Canon far exceeded my expectations and also prints look better than they do on my phone or computer monitor. If you print a lot of photos at home, get this printer, you won't be disappointed you did.

Canon G620 MegaTank Printer
I purchased the Canon G620 MegaTank in December 2021, and waited awhile to really test it out before writing a review. This is an excellent printer, and I am very pleased with it. The set up was easy for my pc and smart phone. I enjoy printing my own photos that I take, and I also print photos for others. The photo quality is outstanding, best on Canon photo paper. I reprinted and compared photos that where printed with a couple different photo printers in the past (about the same price range and photos that were done by a photo service. All have been kept in an album. The G620 photos just stand out the best.
Managing the print settings through my pc and phone was easy. The LCD screen is definitely small, however my previous Canon G3200 MegaTank didn’t have a LCD screen. I had the Canon G3200 MegaTank for several years, and it died due to full absorbent pads and clogged print heads, neither could be changed. It did served me very well. With the G620 the maintenance cartridge (holds the absorbent pads) and the print heads are replaceable, a big plus. Glad to see Canon improved on some important points in the G printer series. No big deal on giving up some printing speed for outstanding photos. I have scanned and copied documents, no complaints. Enjoy the luxury of no ink cartridges.
I would recommend the Canon G620 MegaTank printer.

Great Printer
I wanted to save money on ink and print a lot of stickers. This printer quality is crisp and clean. The setup wasn't complicated as others stated. You go to the ijcanon website and follow the instructions. You add the app on your phone. The only thing I didn't like was not having the option to crop on the scan page. Also, I noticed that it doesn't turn off when not in use. Hopefully the ink lasts for more than a year. I'm happy about this purchase.

Would give 5 stars if ICC profiles were included with the printer.
Nice prints via Canon software but it is not possible to print from Photoshop with "Photoshop manages colors" because no ICC profiles included with printer software. I would be happy if Canon stopped these shenanigans and shipped ICC profiles like he does with most of the Photo Printers.

Bought this to replace Pixma 3200 which kept getting ink clogged up.
The addition of gray and red inks really make photographs look great on the Photo Glossy II paper.

Love the MegaTank and colors, but Mac OSX driver is lacking
I bought this printer to replace a 10-year-old Epson Artisan 50 that broke, and I was tired of wasting so much expensive ink on nozzle cleaning. The many reviews I read were positive so I figured I’d give the G620 a try.
When I got the printer installed on my MacBook Pro via USB, I was surprised at how bare-bones the printer driver was, especially compared to the Windows driver, and that according to the manual in order to print borderless on a Mac I need to set an option on the printer’s small LCD panel before each print in addition to specifying borderless in the print dialog. This is extremely frustrating.
On top of that, to perform maintenance functions and settings like nozzle checks and cleaning I need to open and log into the ‘printer web page’ as these features aren’t available in the print driver on OSX (they’re available in the Windows driver, as are a host of other useful settings. My old printer had a much more functional Mac driver that the G620.
I was also surprised that unlike previous photo printers I’ve owned I was unable to turn off printer color management and use Photoshop and Lightroom’s color management (this is apparently the case on Windows as well as Mac), though the prints I’ve made so far using the G620”s printer color management seem pretty accurate.
I love the MegaTank feature, and the print colors seem to be really good, but as a Mac user the lack of a fully functional OSX printer driver and the extra manual step in borderless printing on OSX are disappointing.
For Windows users that don’t need to use their photo application’s color management I would recommend this printer and give it at least 4 stars.

Great Printer
Purchased 1 year ago to replace a competitive cartridge printer that became too costly to replace cartridges all the time. This was easy to install, print quality is outstanding. We use almost everyday, 7 days a week. We are still using the tanks that came with this printer. I just ordered new ones at a cost of 35.95 for all three colors versus that cost for a one color cartridge that lasts 3 months. Very satisfied with this printer.

It's ok.
I didn't have the greatest experience with Canon printers before but decided to give them another shot since there wasn't much else to choose from. I was looking for for a printer to scan photos, touch them up, and then print them for an album. The design is nothing fancy, just to get the job done. The display is sorta hard to read since theres no backlight. I was excited to get one of these newer photo printers with the six colors and I like the mega tank should be nice cost wise, we'll see. I was kinda confused setting it up what software you're supposed to use and evidently you have to go to the canon site and download it, there's no disc packed in. The scanner seems ok, but the printing isn't quite what I expected considering the price. Maybe I have a little more tinking to do.

Expensive paper weight
I bought this a little over a year ago and loved it until the last 3 months where it has become a very expensive paper weight. One of the print heads is not functioning and despite attempts to clean it. Shouldn't be an issue though right because the print heads are replaceable? Wrong. They're never in stock. As in not once in 3 months have I seen the left print head in stock. You can't find them anywhere. Obviously they're in the brand new printers so they exist. Just not for anyone that needs to replace the print heads. Useless.

Some great, some not-so-great things.
The G620 does some things GREAT and others are not so great, hence the 3-star rating. First the great: The quality of photographs on high-quality glossy paper is outstanding! Printing photographs from Lightroom using the exact setup I used with digital printing service, the prints came out a bit dark. After very quickly adjusting exposure and tweaking contrast a bit, the pictures were comperable to the digital printing service I use. Regular every-day printing on standard 20# bright white paper was also very good, though slow (but that's why we also have a laser printer). Now for the not-so-great. First, setting up the wireless connection was a colossal pain. Extremely poor user interface that made the process slow and tedious. Thankfully, it only needs to be done once. Printing photographs on high-quality matte paper produced far inferior results. I tried using two different brands of paper, both heavy weight papers. The colors on the print are muted and edges in the photograph are indistinct leading me to wonder about color bleed in the paper (we live in a rather high-humidity environment) - but this is just a guess. While I am disappointed in the matte print quality, the outstanding quality of prints on glossy paper makes the printer worth the purchase for me.

Good Printer
I got this one to replace a G3200 that died. I've been really impressed with the color, what I see on the computer is what I get from the printer. the 3200 I had, both of them would not match the color in the photos, especially red shades. I mostly do wildlife photos and colors have to be right.

Been to the dump lately?
I've had this printer for about 6 months, and have printed with it a few dozen times. The most recent time I tried to print, it was in "copy mode" and refused to print. The message that my computer would give me is that the Canon Printer is in error state. I unplugged it overnight - it still started in copy mode. I tried resetting it to factory settings, and now it refuses to connect either via WIFI or even hard-wired with a printer cable. Canon says I need all of the original packaging to return it - of course, after a few months of flawless operation, I recycled the packaging. Now I'll have to recycle the printer, or - worst case, take it to the dump, and shop for a new printer. I'll never buy another HP due to their cartridge policy, and now I'll never buy another Canon.

Great Photos
This is an affordable photo printer for use at home. The quality of photo prints is great, better than any other printer I've owned in the past 7 years. The only features I wish this printer had are the ability to print double-sided. I thought I'd miss having a document feeder, but that has not been the case.

Great colors!
I’m in love with the range of colors offered with this printer! It’s actually surprising how much a difference the grey and red adds to my prints. Can’t forget about the tank ink system either, this thing lasts a while!
The only problem I have while printing is using the Canon print app, which causes strange colors and misaligned prints for whatever reason. The only good thing of the app is using it for adjusting printer settings. Using airprint works perfectly fine for me though.

I’ve owned several phot printers and the G620 is by far the best so far. The print quality is fantastic and I can print an insane amount of 4x6 and 81/2x11 prints for an incredible low cost. I only wish canon had a mega tank printer like this for wide format printing (13x19).
