The Cisco QSFP28 Transceiver Module supports a 100 Gb/s bit rate. It integrates four host electrical data into two optical lanes over a two-fiber duplex LC optical multi-mode fiber. This BiDi optical module operates 50 GB PAM4 channels, for a total aggregate bandwidth of 100 GB. PAM4 technology enables a 50 GB data rate with signaling at 25 Gbaud rates. On the receiver side, it de-multiplexes two sets of optical input signals and converts them to four electrical data channels.
