This module is not compatible with a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme, even though the catalog says that it is. The slot between the electrode tabs is in a different physical location than on the originally installed RAM modules, so this one does not fit in the socket.

Not compatible with Lenovo IdeaPad S540-15IWL
After I installed the new RAM, it did show up as 20GB (4+16) but in exchange for the speed, a lot of bizarre problems came up and almost bricked my laptop: the touchpad suddenly stopped functioning; executive installation showed weird errors (i.e. Windows SmartScreen can't be reached right now); etc. I tried to update drivers to fix it but nada. I even thought I accidentally broke some parts of my hardware while installing at first but when I reinstalled my old RAM, everything works properly again. I don't know if the one I got was faulty or not, and adding to late delivery on top? I must say I'm very disappointed.

For those looking to upgrade the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15ISK, it will go up to 20GB as the 'memory scanner' app recommended. Run the tool to ensure the proper RAM is found on stock. I upgraded 2 laptops with this chip. Upgraded the BIOS to the latest version 2.08 (7/6/2018), before installing the RAM.
Be sure to seat the RAM all the way into the slot. Clear out any dust or debris to ensure the metal plate contacts are clean before inserting the RAM chip. Specially if the laptop has not been opened and cleaned out.

Great Experience
After finally giving up on another vendor's delivery broken promises I turned to CDW to get a memory upgrade for my HP laptop. CDW recommended buying one 16MB unit rather than two 8MB units which means I can upgrade to 32MB in the future if needed rather than being maxed out and needing to start over. The product arrived earlier than expected and work perfectly in my laptop. Thanks CDW!

Wasn't sure about the upgrade scanner as I found out that 4gb of my total of 8gb was permanently on the motherboard and nobody makes a 12gb memory stick to give me the recomended 16 total. Tech support assured me that one16gb module will work with the onboard 4gb giving me 20gb total and if it didnt work out i could return it. It worked with no problem!! old lenovo is a screamer now!

High speed upgrade
My HP Envy laptop said the max RAM it could accept was 16GB, so I lived with that for years. Then I saw the Crucial upgrade tool and reviews that said it would actually work with 32GBs. I figure I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying out the upgrade. It worked, hallelujah! Double speed, it feels like a brand new laptop.

Factory Damaged
I have used Crucial in the past and they have great quality and ease of use in the website. This time it has been exhausting sending proofs of damage and also having to send a burned module which overheated as soon as I installed it and affected my computer so I can get a new one.

I highly recommend this product
I needed to add memory into one of my older machines (circa 2108). I added this 16 GB stick to the already existing 8 GB to make it 24 GB total. The installation was very simple. The machine recognized the new memory and presto, I now have 24 GB RAM instead of 8 GB. My computer performs so much better now that it has all this RAM and I can see a huge performance difference, including being able to run so many programs at the same time, have lots of windows open and my browsers are certainly thanking me for the upgrade.
