Bought NVMe SSD for more space so I can dual-boot. But this requires changing from Dell's default RAID mode (not configured as RAID), to AHCI mode to install Micron driver.

Just as I expected
I used this as a replacement for the factory fitted SSD as I wanted more space before upgrading to Windows 11. Fitting was simple and reinstallation of the factory installed programs and windows 10 was simple using the Lenovo downloaded support software. The upgrade to Windows 11 took less time than expected. I don't play games on my laptop so the specification of the T500 was sufficient for my purposes.

Significantly decreased boot up time, program loading
Two issues with the cloning process.
1) If you use the desktop version of Outlook backup your mail and contacts to a USB drive before you start the cloning process. My #.pst was corrupted by the process. Took several hours to rebuild it.
2) If you use on-line hard drive data backup, check with the provider for special instructions prior to cloning. It will save you time and headaches.

The Reason I return to Crucial Part 2
So I wanted to upgrade my husband's desktop and I thought it was older tech than it turned out to be. I really appreciate the app Crucial uses to suggest upgrade parts as suitable for the system at hand. It has worked yet again. The PC became very peppy once RAM and SSD installed. The drive cloning software worked well and the increase in response time makes it seem like new again.

Fast startup (and probably generally faster)
I have a Dell Inspiron 3891 running Windows 11 which was was really slow and my children told me that a SSD would speed it up. Since the PC has an E2 slot, I bought a Crucial 1TB SSD card for it. Installation was straightforward, and I used a set of instructions from the internet to transfer the contents of the old boot drive to the SSD. This was also straightforward until I reached the point where I wanted to boot from the SSD. In the end, I unplugged the old boot drive Sata cable and the system booted from the SSD and it was really fast. I then plugged the old boot drive Sata cable back in and it still booted from the SSD.
The down-side is that I never got the Crucial Storage Executive to work (PC came with Raid enabled) and I couldn't get Windows to use the Micron NVMe Driver (it prefers it's own), so it could work even better. But it is so much faster (33 seconds boot time) than it was before so I'm never going back.

Very pleased with M.2 SSD and CrucialScan
Needed to upgrade the my 500GB M.2 SSD. Through the use of the CrucialScan app, I was given all the options for what I could reliably upgrade my system with - for both drives and RAM. No other site has this feature, so I was confident I was purchasing the right hardware. I bought a 1TB M.2 SSD and after cloning my system to it, I was able to install it in place of the 500GB drive and it booted with no issues. I just had to follow up with going into System Properties and turning on Protection for the newly installed drive and deleting the listing for the old drive I had removed.

Holy smokes, this makes my PC like a laptop!
I had bought 2 16GB sticks from Crucial to enhance performance of my Dell SFF Optiplex 3070, but it wasn't any faster. After a year and a half, I decided to see what else I could do to try to speed the machine up. I saw the SSD was on sale after the Crucial Scan and purchased it. Shipping was great. Had trouble formatting the 1TB drive as my own purchased Acronis True Image was outdated (i guess), and it kept trying to clone the 500 GB 7200 RPM drive as is, leaving a second partition of 500 GB, so I didn't proceed with the clone. I uninstalled my version and installed Crucial's, but the same thing kept happening. After racking my past-life brain in IT (25 years ago), I thought about formatting the entire drive NTFS and then cloning the 500GB, and that worked! Now, once POST hits, the machine acts just like a laptop; Windows pops up and it's lightning fast! Great purchase!

Trying to upgrade an older laptop; added the SSD and laptop didn't boot. Asked Crucial to swap with a 512MB SSD that should work according to laptop support, Crucial sent 1TB, and can't boot.

Great performance and value!
I use the it for my home PC. I had a SATA SSD that was almost full and I needed something with more capacity to extend my storage. I transfered my OS to the T500 and it was night and day. It turned on a lot faster and all the programs loaded instantly. Installation was super simple and I was done migrating my OS way faster than I thought!

Excellent Upgrade--Free Software is Game Changer
Used this SSD to increase storage and improve speeds. I used an external USB-C SSD enclosure and the free Crucial/Acronis software to clone the existing SSD to the new Crucial SSD. It only took a few minutes to clone with over 200gb of data. Once the drive was cloned, it was an easy swap into my laptop. The most challenging part is getting the partitions correct on the new SSD, but it can all be done using the free software.

Installed in a Dell G5 5500 and created a Raid 0. Needed to buy a heatsink and two screws, since Dell omitted this in the OEM shipment. Great product. High throughput.

Beware if you have Optane
This SSD was shown as compatible with my Acer all-in-one and the online installation materials made it seem that it would be a simple upgrade. This machine had an OEM installed Optane setup that used the only slot available for an SSD, so it was not a simple plug and play exercise. System scan never worked, so I got the Crucial list of compatible upgrades based on manual entry of system details.

Like a new machine
I ordered this and 32 of RAM for my Inspiron laptop, which is 6 years old and was incredibly slow to boot, and to do anything really. It has never performed like it does now, even when it was new. It was either this or by a new laptop, this was by far the cheapest and best option. Brilliant.

Great 1TB memory upgrade for laptop but site guidance on using Acronis to clone disk needs updating. Acronis is not Acronis anymore and its not free. I eventually found some free software that WOULD do the job (Hasleo disk clone)

Great fountain of youth for aging pc!
This makes my wife's 5-year old Lenovo IdeaCenter desktop "young" again. She cannot believe it is so fast now! It took several tries for Acronis to clone the old hard drive, but reading Acronis support led me to run the cloning software from a Linux bootable USB, and that finally did the trick. Thank you Crucial!

I bought a drive a few months back for just extra game storage, and the drive had write errors, I decided to check if it was still able to be returned. Thankfully they have great customer service and the drive was also still available for replacement. So I sent it back, and throughout the entire process they always replied to emails, answered questions, and kept in contact so that I knew where my drive was, what step of the process it was on, and when I'd get my replacement. The replacement has worked great and hasn't had any form of errors. I've bought and used plenty of products from Crucial and they always work well, even if they don't, the awesome customer service is always there.

Excellent performance after a few install issues
I upgraded a 4+ year old HP laptop with an incredibly slow SATA hard disk. It's a night and day difference between them. I had a few technical issues with what I think was with Secure Boot or possibly another BIOS setting before resetting my laptop BIOS to factory defaults.
