Only bluetooth mouse I found that would stay connected.
Went through several to find one that would stay connected to a Dell XPS 13. This is the only one that maintains a reliable connection. Funny it asks if I would recommend one to a colleague because that's exactly why I'm here, to buy one for a co-worker who just got a laptop that only has USB-C ports. Nice that it folds flat for packing to travel too.

Nice mouse but sometimes touch sensor in scroll wheel is off
I like the slim nature of the mouse and that it works with a MacBook and Dell laptop. The only drawback i've found is that when I'm scrolling it is not as smooth as the Microsoft Arc mouse or the Apple mouse.

Unable to use with my Dell Inspiron 13, 5000 series.
I didn't realize that you had to have Chipset 4.0 in order to use the mouse. An adapter is fairly large and needs to stay plugged in all the time for the mouse to work.

This is a great mouse. It works as expected with very minimal lag time. My only complaint is that even though I ordered it with my new Dell Inspiron I still had to get help from customer service. They installed the missing driver.

Horrible product:
- delays in response after several seconds of idling.
- scrolling doesn't work properly
Only one benefit is ergonomic design, but the idea is totally screwed with awful performance.
Wish to return and get something more reliable.

I find it difficult to use...the "wheel" or middle part doesn't scroll well and jumps all around. I had bought this one because I was told the batteries would last longer than in the traditional one, but that wasn't the case. I've ordered a different one.

WORST MOUSE EVER - DO NOT BUY
Every 10 minutes or so, it loses connection. The place where it meets the table gets tacky so the mouse will skip or jump as you move it. It locks up and you have to open the back, slide the very flimsy slide (I'm not sure what to call it or why it is even in there), take the battery out and then replace it all. I have to do that 3 or 4 times a week. I use my mouse 9+ hours every day and this thing is terrible. Do not buy it! Believe it or not...as I write this, the mouse has lost connection again and I can't get it to move. I would give this no stars if I could.

Defective unit (battery life)? Otherwise nearly perfect.
I thought the neverending search for the perfect travel mouse was finally over. This one comes close. I can even deal with the touch-scroll "wheel" through adjusting Windows properties. It does has the same issue as every Bluetooth mouse I've ever used with Windows in that it has to be removed and re-added periodically. That doesn't bother me much anymore. The big problem with this mouse is that it absolutely eats batteries. It seems like it's turning off when twisted, but after a week or two, used or unused, the batteries are invariably when I pull it out. Maybe it's defective, or maybe not? I haven't been able to conjure up the patience to call Support so I can't be certain yet.

Great Features, but very limited compatibility with Dell Products
I bought this several months ago and it worked fine for about an hour. Then I realized that it didn't work with my Precision 5510. It would work for a few minutes and then disconnect. It's a Bluetooth mouse - why doesn't it work with Bluetooth which my laptop has.

Horrible usability
No middle button. Central part between buttons is a touch bar, which can be used to scroll - and only for that - it's very easy to scroll accidentally. Also mouse tends to sleep every time when you are not using it - even for a second! And after it goes to sleep - it won't start working unless you do quite a few rapid moves with it. This mouse has nothing than looks. Really - if you think about buying it - just put your money next to your computer and try to move pointer with them - usability will be the same and when you finally get to the point that this is a ridiculous idea - you can spend your money for something more useful than this mouse - a rock for example.

Needed to free up USB 2 port
I bought a used Dell WM524 Bluetooth mouse to try because I neded my USB 2 port. I found it worked well EXCEPT everytime I turned my laptop off, I needed to re-pair it to Bluetooth in Windows 10. I read that I needed to disable the Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver in device manager in Properties/ Power Manager tab. Unchecking "allow the computer to turn off..." Now I just turn the mouse and push the on/off button, watch for the indicator to flash and I am in business.

Cons:
Barely performs its actual job. Cursor movement us very jumpy. Touch scroll wheel either barely moves the page ir flies down the page.

Not Having Problems
Got this mouse a few months ago. It paired flawlessly and first time with my new XPS13 2-1. Since its Bluetooth I have noticed a slight lag in mouse pointer motion on occasion but nothing that is really bothering me to the point that others have mentioned. The scroll button does take getting used to and tuning the mouse settings will be needed. Its a very cool shape and has a comfortable feel, and the twist stow feature is nice. I am an on the go person where portability is key. Also if you don't have a USB port on a tablet or 2-1 system you need a Bluetooth mouse.

Poor design
Looks nice, modern, and ergonomic but is functionally useless. Moving the mouse around, even on a mouse pad, is scratchy and draggy.
Scrolling where the old style ‘wheel’ used to be now uses touch sensitivity, but I find I have to be very conscious of where the center slide bar is physically because the design doesn’t allow for natural finger placement.
Compared to my old wheel style mouse I have to apply a LOT of pressure for it to feel the motion, but that pressure is very close to the pressure required to click the mouse ‘wheel’. I gave up after 4 hours of use and went back to my old Logitech bluetooth. I am sending this one back.

Bluetooth capable is a plus
I bought this a few weeks ago and am satisfied with it because of the Bluetooth feature. It frees up a USB port that can be used for other hardware. Using the mouse is a little difficult for me as I have moderate arthritis in my hands and the "wheel" has been replaced with a touch-sensitive slide which could be more sensitive. Overall, I like it.

I loved this mouse but found that about a week after putting new batteries in (5 days, really), that touch bar that acts as a mouse wheel stops working. Even though the batteries are nearly new, you have to replace them to get this functionality back. This is very bad and I'll be looking for a replacement right away.
What's worse is that Dell Support really does not support this product.

Slow, not responsive, no middle button
I have had this mouse for over two weeks. I'm thinking about returning it or selling it already. Sure this mouse looks cool & sleek. But looks aren't everything. The only other benefit that this mouse has is the fact that it is bluetooth and portable. It has a sleek & portable design so that I can carry it easily in my backback with my dell laptop. Overall I like the design. However it has some issues with responsiveness and with basic features that most mouses have.
The mouse is very laggy and slow to respond. Sometimes it falls asleep after not using it for an extended period of time. I have to wake it up. Sometimes the mouse doesn't even wake up either. When I first got the mouse I put in the batteries in that came with it. It did not work. I then put in my own triple AAA batteries and it finally worked after restarting it several times There should just be an on/off switch on the back.
All of the complaints above would be bearable if it weren't for one missing feature that most mouses have: A middle button/scroll button. I use the scroll button as much as I use the left clicker and the right clicker. The fact that this button has no scroll clicker was a huge disappointment.
If I got to try this mouse before I bought it then I would have not bought it. I am ready to get a different mouse already. Maybe I can sell it as a used mouse or give it away as a present.

Comfortable & Easy to Use
I bought this 8/2016 and have had nothing but great experience with it. So easy to use, comfortable under my hand, easily flips for carrying in my bag when I take my laptop along to a coffee shop. The only negative would be the battery life is short due to the blue tooth. Easy enough to pull them out when I am not using it though. Seeing so many negative reviews makes me wonder why Dell does not do something to address the concerns that some have with the device. Overall, for me, it is a win-win. I am pretty adaptable and the pros outweigh the cons by far for me.

Works well with Inspiron 17 7000 Series laptops
I've had it over two months and I've had no problems at all. It's nice that it turns on/off with a quick twist and lays flat in my laptop backpack. The only drawback is the "touch" scrolling which takes a lot of getting used to in order to use smoothly. I would give it 5 stars if it had horizontal scrolling.

Good bluetooth mouse, a bit pricey, some design oddities
I bought the wm615 after receiving my bi-monthly Dell postcard that includes a coupon and little adverts. I saw the mouse and was interested in seeing it. I put my order in, used my coupon, and got it in the mail today! So here we go:
The mouse is almost ready to go out of the box. There are only two or three steps before use: unpack, insert batteries (which ARE included! *surprise!*), and connect. According to the paperwork, it connects to any computer with a bluetooth 4.0 chipset and Windows 8, with special drivers for Windows 7.
I did everything I needed to and connected the mouse in less than a minute to my Alienware17.
I've used it for about an hour and a half now and did everything from Word to Minecraft to Civilization to Firefox and everything in between.
The "twist and fold" design that allows the mouse to become extremely portable is a nice touch. It also acts as a power toggle. In mouse mode (the arching mode) it's on, in portable mode (nearly flat) the power is off. A nice touch indeed. The buttons have a nice action, fast response, and are extremely quiet. The touch based scroll wheel is slick, but somewhat imprecise. The portable mode is REALLY portable. I folded it up, stuck it in my pocket, and walked around with it for about ten minutes. No hitches, no stitches.
I really like this mouse, but there are three things that keep me from loving it.
One, the feet on the mouse aren't rubber or even rubberized plastic. They are a hard plastic that's rather rough and drags a LOT on any surface. So far I've used printer paper, a wooden table top, a mouse pad, a table cloth, and a bed sheet. The only think it didn't drag on was the bed sheet. Otherwise, there's a bit of dragging and I'm worried about the long term wear down of the two foot pads.
Second, the mouse, for the sake of portability, has a very low profile and formed design. The arched shape is somewhat unforgiving to people who are used to mouses that are specifically made for a right or left hand. (PS: The mouse feels ambidextrous, but I'm not sure if it can be remapped.)
Three, the touch based scroll wheel is somewhat imprecise and a little snappy. Out of the box, it's stiff, but after an hour of use the mouse seems to almost "learn" and pick up better on the wheel.
At $60, this bluetooth, super portable mouse is pricey, but it's worth it to keep up with technology. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I didn't have the coupon from Dell.

The swiping "scrollwheel" provides horrible user experience
I like the compactness of this mouse, but after trying to use it for work for a few days, I've had nothing but frustration with the touchpad "scrollwheel." It simply doesn't work properly, frequently moving too much or not at all. I tried fiddling with the Windows scrollbar settings, but it made no improvement. I'm going back to my old mouse with a tactile scrollwheel. Wish I would not have bought this. Dell products are usually good; this was not worth it.

The bluetooth tecnology is not compatable
I just purchased the new Dell XPS 9550 laptop and this mouse is not compatible. After trying to pair it over 10 times, I called Dell technical services and found I was told the wrong information by sales about its compatibility with my new XPS 9550. Very disappointed because it is a great design for traveling.

Don't bother with this mouse. Waste of money.
I got this mouse so I could use Bluetooth and not tie up a USB port like all the other wireless mice. This one is very hard to use. Unresponsive. You don't know where the cursor will end up. the "clicker" part tends to get stuck and won't release. I watched in horror as the cursor hovered over the "delete" box while email after email got deleted in a twinkling of an eye. . The wheel part is hard to control if it works at all. If this was a $5 item, it might be worth it.

Great for use with tablet computer
This mouse works great with my MS Surface 3. It connected easily and effectively. It saves space in my slipcase. The only downside is needing a plain surface without a lot of busy action. A sheet of paper fixes this well.

Works on the Go
When I purchased my new laptop I needed a portable mouse to go with it and preferably one like my other Bluetooth enabled mouse. I didn't want it to be tied down by a USB connection, so this mouse came into view.
I was hesitant with the previous bad reviews but the mouse itself is not that bad.
Cons:
The grip feet:
These take a real beating and after a day it looks like I've had the mouse years if you only look at the underside.
The Connection:
Now this is where most users had the complaint and basically said the mouse was a no go for them. I didn't find it that horrible to be honest. The one gripe I have about the connection issue randomly is that it's not always easy to get reconnected. Usually I'd just go into the settings, unpair and repair the mouse and it's fine. For this mouse that usually doesn't work and if you unpair and try again it'll say try again because it can't recognize it fully. At this point you have the reboot the system to get it to connect again.
I've have my mouse for 3 days and only had the issue once, so it's a very minimal con in my opinion.
Overall:
I still love this mouse even with the random connection issue. I've come to be used to the issue with other similar mice and it seems to be common in a lot of Bluetooth enabled mice so it's not a huge deal.
I will still gladly use this mouse and I would recommend it myself because of it's huge portability factor without it taking up space.

Defective unit?
I might have a defective unit. I've gone through 4 sets of batteries since getting this mouse in July. The mouse also doesn't stay connected to my 5285. However, I can't tell if this is the fault of the bluetooth radio or the mouse at this point.

Terrible Gifts
Bought this as a Gift for my daughter awhile back. When I she got it out of the box Christmas Day we found that it does not work at all. New batteries but it it will not power on. Reported it to Dell Support and since its past 30 days since I ordered it I am stuck with an expensive piece of recycling. Added to this disaster I also bought an active pen that was advertised for my computer when I purchased. You guessed it then Pen does not work either. Not because there is something wrong with the pen. The computer is not compatible with active pens. They sold me something for a computer that it was never going to work on.

Works OK except...
I bought it to use with my old Dell Latitute but despite being on the compatible list it does nor work. However, it works great on all my non Dell laptops including my Macbook Air. Go figure... But since I decided to use Mac for travel everything is great.
I love the way if folds. The mouse is a pleasure to store in a cramped notebook bag. The mouse is quite precise. The scrolling is tough to use as it is speed sensitive.
Overall Happy but if I were to continue to use it in my Dell it would have been a 1 star... (BTW I hope it will work on my upcoming Precision/work laptop)

shake my head, horrible
A thing that you have to keep in mind is that it's "futuristic". The scroll often moves around when you do work, as that's what I've experienced for the past 5 months keeping this mouse. If you get water on it, it starts moving, and the mouse just stops working. Battery life is only 3 months (with mine) and I can not wait to sell this mouse.

Chews through batteries
This mouse looks nice, but it chews through new AAA batteries in about a week. I have to physically take the battery out to stop it from draining. I spoke to customer support, and they suggested I could "unpair" the Bluetooth connection every time after using, but that seems like even more trouble. I don't understand why there is no "off" button, or better still, why turning the base to store it doesn't turn it off to avoid the battery issue. Very disappointing!

Lost Connection
This mouse showed a lot of promise when I was looking at it. Small and portable, everything that I wanted to go along with my new XPS 15. After initially connecting the mouse, it seemed to work fine... Until I turned my computer off and tried to use it the next time I powered my laptop back on. The mouse seemed to be very unresponsive, so I unpaired, then re-paired the mouse. Again worked fine until I shut off the laptop. After digging around on the internet for 5 mins, I was lead to a dell service site with directions on how to fix the problem, and it works perfectly now. If you're having the same problem, here's how to fix it.

Third time wasn't a charm
Got this mouse with a new laptop, but the cursor jumped around all over the place. Dell replaced it. Replacement mouse paired only once and would not pair again. Called Dell again and they didn't even attempt to make it work. Instead they said they would send me a new mouse. I thought that was unusual for Dell. Guess what? The second replacement mouse that they sent wasn't the same mouse. They replaced it with the WM524. What does that tell you?

It's OK
I have owned this mouse for at least 3 years. And, generally I am pleased with it. I read some of the baddest reviews and I have to say, the mouse is not as bad as they make it to be. Yes,sometimes the mouse is a bit unresponsive when left alone for awhile, but once it wakes up it works very well. Ergonomically the mouse is very nice and adapts to any size hand. It travels well in almost any surface.

The touch scrolling is very unresponsive/laggy.
I got this mouse directly from Dell. It was going to be a replacement to my Eclipse Touch mouse, but I am regretting the purchase.
The movement and main buttons work well, but the mouse has serious issues with the touch scrolling.
Scrolling issues:
- It often does not register quick light scrolls.
- When it does register, there is always a very noticeable lag between the physical action and the response on the computer.
- When trying to do a longer continuous scroll it will do several normal scrolls with a noticeable pause in between.
- No "fly-wheel" continuous scrolling if you quickly slide&lift your finger.
The mouse simulates a middle button click when the user double taps the touch spot, which does actually work but is still not as nice as a physical button. Perhaps the lag I mentioned above may have its roots in this feature since the mouse has to check for it before scrolling.
At this time there are no drivers for this mouse to fix the scrolling issues, so I'm planning on returning it.

super lightweight mouse
This is a super lightweight mouse that slips nicely into a briefcase and is great for travel. My hand is used to the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500, which although taller and heavier, is narrower in the waist which makes my hand relax more. Furthermore, I like the tactile feel of a wheel for scrolling as opposed to touch scrolling. My only recommendations would be to make the waist thinner and to offer a wheel option.

Barely Usable
I wonder if Dell even did thorough testing on this product? Or perhaps my unit is just defective? In any case, this mouse constantly falls asleep right in the middle of using it, leaving it inoperable for 5-10 seconds.
Concerning the scroll wheel, it is the worst I have ever encountered...
Reason this product doesn't get 1 star: something about this mouse is very ergonomic; it can be used for very long periods of time without creating any wrist pain.
Nevertheless, I will say, that the overall functionality/execution of this mouse is so careless that my loyalty to the Dell company in general is somewhat shaken.
