Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good low profile and high-quality desk converter I like all the features of this desk except the keyboard tray. My standard ergonomic keyboard doesn't fit, and the mouse surface area is also tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low profile, good for both sitting and standing All other sit/stand converters I researched made the minimum monitor height too high for proper ergonomics while sitting. The keyboard tray dropping below desk height is also key. 5 stars for function. It is pricey likely because they currently are the only game in town that can do this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, high quality and ergonomically perfect Great addition to my home office. Coupled with an ergonomic standing pad, I can spend many hours at the computer without the cramps and sore back I had been experiencing. Ordering was easy, shipping quick and installation was easy. The surface easily fits two monitors leaving room for note pads, etc. The unit is very robust and the lifting mechanism feels solid -high quality, well engineered. The shelf was perfectly adequate for my keyboard and mouse, but might be a problem for a larger keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not recommend The keyboard and mouse space are much too tight. A standard keyboard and mouse barely fit the width and depth. The keyboard qwerty section sits left of center (relative to the surface that holds the monitor) when there is enough room for the mouse on the right. This causes either sitting/standing off center from the surface that holds the monitor or an uncomfortable inward/leftward twist of the right elbow and shoulder in order to type on the qwerty. The number pad of the keyboard is at the neutral position, but I don't use that much. The surface that holds the monitor overhangs my desk surface by 5 inches. My monitor and laptop screens need to be more forward than in the product images due to bifocals, so there's some risk of the whole unit tipping forward. Certainly I could not lean on it when it is raised. There's zero room for using anything but a keyboard -- no room for a note book, sketchpad, papers you're referencing or transcribing, coffee cup. When standing I'm having to take written notes using a small space in front of the monitor, which means I'm raising up my arms and shoulders. When seated I can roll to the conventional desk surface, but then I am not viewing my monitor with any ease. This unit requires a manual adjustment to change from sit/stand. There are no presets and no marks or anything by which to judge what height you're at. I'll probably learn it by feel over time, but right now I have to fiddle with the heights every time. Your cords are a mess behind the thing all the time. I've had to tape them down otherwise they fall when moving the surface up and down. Sometimes the PC's AC adapter gets under and blocks the whole thing from lowering fully. The channel on the underside of the surface works for stuff you never need to move, but if you have to take your power cord or anything with you regularly, the channel is too much of a hassle to use. - Response from Ergotron: Sorry to hear about your disappointment, and thank you for this feedback. If the worksurface of the WorkFit-TX overhangs your desktop by five inches, it means the TX may not be an appropriate solution for your space. The WorkFit-TX requires that the desktop be at least 24 inches deep. Were your desktop this depth, you could safely lean on the TX without concern. We also recommend managing your system's cables and cords as shown in the installation manual. Please contact Ergotron customer care at 800-888-8458 should you need further assistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for petites Hi! After extensive research, I found that this product is my only option for a desktop converter as a person who is around 5ft tall. Other converters are too tall when I'm sitting, or the keyboard isn't the right height when standing. For others in my boat, I advise taking good measurements of where your ergonomic zones are then comparing to this product, including considering the desk height you have. You might need a lower desk. I am using a desk with the Olov legs from IKEA at their lowest setting of 23 3/8".The adjustable keyboard height is awesome. Just a note that the keyboard shelf is quite shallow-my Microsoft Sculpt Ergo Desktop keyboard hangs off the front but is not by any means going to fall. The very first time I tried to raise up the product, something was really stuck and it took a bigger person reefing on it for a minute. But after that initial time it's been pretty smooth to go up and down. My body is soooo much happier since getting this, no more tension headaches, or legs and hips getting sore from too much sitting. I use a yoga ball for sitting due to back issues and a lack of affordable desk chairs for my size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and craftsmanship! It took me a while and did some research on all brands of converter desks. I purchased the Ergotron TX because the reviews were positive. I liked everything about the Ergotron TX. Just got this today and had it installed and I’m loving every bit of it. Great brand. Seen other converter desk and just by comparison this is by far the best converter desk. Most of heard and seen seem to wobble this one does not at all has enough work space to put your documents on top. Buy Ergotron brand and you will not regret!!! Thank you Ergotron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek converter desk I recently joined an institution after having had a private practice where I had a beautiful sit to stand desk. I bought the Ergotron WorkFit after doing a lot of online research on various options. I liked the low profile of the desk, and it's minimalist design. As described, it was very easy to install (ie: take out of the box and put on my desk). I was able to do it by myself - putting my hours of strength training to work. Would have been much easier, though, if I'd had another person. I am very happy with the sturdiness of the desk. As I read in some reviews, it can be hard to lower initially, requiring a second set of hands to put pressure on the surface of the desk while I held the release handles. I am very happy with the desk, and recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Low Pro This is the best stand up desk. It has the lowest starting height and an adjustable keyboard. Super easy set-up, pull out of box, put into place, remove 2 small transport pieces and your done. Will also handle 2 large monitors with its large base. We have three in our office now and looking to add a forth. Thanks Ergotron, Phillip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could use a few tweaks I bought it for the keyboard tray. I needed something that brought the keyboard lower on my awkwardly-sized desk. In that regard it works perfectly. I have to agree with others who say the keyboard try is small. It's less of a problem for me because I use a smaller keyboard with no 10-key. Otherwise, there probably wouldn't be much room for the mouse without the keyboard being way off center. Unless you're a lefty, then you've got it made. It really needs to be wider. Could also be a little deeper. I'm always bumping the mouse against the rails attaching the keyboard tray to the desk. That's not much of an issue for me. I was always running my mouse off the pad, too. It is difficult to start moving, either direction. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it will loosen with time. Maybe it's the two monitors I have sitting on it. I don't move it a lot, so it's not a big deal for me, but it's something to be aware of. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Makes my awkward desk less of a pain. My back is grateful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ergotron: Excellent Investment in My Home Office Dear Ergotron, I just purchased the WorkFit-TX Standing Desk (the Flagship of the Ergotron line) and the ErgotronHome Lift 35 (a bargain at $180) sit/stand desk converters. I am able to compare these 2 models side by side (I love them both with pros and cons to each of them). I give both a solid "A" in construction and movement. Of course, the TX is definitely the Cadillac model, and certainly my favorite. My only very small criticism of the TX model is that the keyboard platform backer flap (whatever it is called) has a gap between the keyboard platform vertical support that allows the mouse cord to catch (I use a corded mouse Haha). I simply put a thick piece of paper in the gap to prevent this from happening, but would be a simple design upgrade for Ergotron. This has made my life soooooo much better. The purchase of these standing desks was a life epiphany, and I wished I would have taken action earlier. (However, the wonderful TX model would not have been available years ago). Thanks for building great products that will last for years and years. Craig

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable, easy to use The desk was very easy to set up. There are 2 fingers that engage the front lip of your desk, positioning it front-to-back. It's light enough to shift left and right, but heavy enough to remain in place afterwards. It came with 2 adhesive clips to manage my mouse's wiring. The entire unit is very stable in any position. However, over time, it doesn't seem to hold positions that are near the lowest one. Luckily I don't use that. It is easy to adjust the height. I switch between sitting and standing every hour or so. To raise it feels like you are lifting 10 pounds, but 9" away from your body, so I must hold my breath and tighten my stomach. I've been using it for a month. I hope that it maintains its smooth motion for years. I suggest the user buys extra wire ties and reusable twist ties to manage their wires. Also, use a wireless mouse because my mouse's wire hits the post of the keyboard tray (not enough depth). If there are features to improve on, I'd say to make the keyboard tray 1" deeper, and remove the tapers on the left and right sides. I want as much flat surface area that I can get. Also, improve on the wire management underneath. The current groove can only handle 1 to 2 wires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big work surface, sturdy and lot of adjustments I had another model for 5 years (Workfit-S) and I enjoyed to work both sitting and standing. But I must admit that this model is a nice improvement. A bigger work surface that make it easy for two screens or screen+laptop. The mechanism seems also more sturdy and easier to work not all the way up. It is very slick on the desk and all the adjustments for the keyboard may it very ergonomic. With its reasonable price and great warranty, it is an hard to beat standing desk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge upgrade I had wanted this sit stand converter from the beginning of my pandemic work at home situation, but I instead opted for a cheaper one. Huge mistake! The whole thing tilted towards me, so much so that a pencil would roll off of it. Things that I love about this -no tilting -easy enough to lift manually if you don’t have upper body issues (my previous converter was electric) -big enough for two monitors -the keyboard tray is fantastic, there aren’t many models around that offer both an adjustable height and angle tray -I find that the keyboard tray is large enough for my ergo keyboard and mouse, but I don’t have a number pad incorporated into my keyboard so it is a little narrower than standard keyboards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good equipment to ensure you work in a correct ergonomic posture The overall experience with the equipment was good. It has overcome all the shortings its predecessors had. Its good both while sitting or standing. only complaint I have is that the keyboard pad could be a bit more wider and stronger. For people with long hands like me, we tend to rest our wrists on the pad a lot and this pad feels a bit clumsy and shakes if a bit more pressure is applied. Apart from that I'm happy with all the other features.
