The Fluke Networks 773 Milliamp Process Clamp Meter is ideal for troubleshooting transmitters, valves and PLCs found in process plants. It saves time and money by quickly measuring 4 mA to 20 mA signals without breaking the loop. This clamp meter sources and measures DC voltage, so it can be used to troubleshoot voltage input and output devices that accept a 1-volt to 5-volt or 0-volt to 10-volt signal. An integrated measurement spotlight allows you to illuminate hard-to-see wires in dark enclosures.

Versatile and easy to use!!!
Awesome meter, no longer do you need to break open a circuit to get a reliable current reading while troubleshooting a transmitter. The built-in voltmeter is another plus, no need to carry around two meters.

Major Time Saver
I have been using this meter for quite a while around water treatment plants and found it to be very useful at troubleshooting current loops. Clamp on meters for DC are relatively new but this works without bugs. We have both a 772 and a 773 meter. The 773 allows sourcing of a signal providing fast verification of new wiring. It is also quick to determine if an instrument has a faulty output or the display/PLC module is bad. There is no need to break a circuit to see why there is no voltage. It is almost a must-have for commisioning new IO.

I bought this meter thinking I mite get some use out of it, never really expecting it to be such a valuable asset to my daily fault finding role. The loop power and mA in out functions are brilliant. This meter is worth the high price paid for it. It is so easy to verify PLC analog inputs vs instrument issues, set up loop powered valves with feedback, etc without having to run in and out checking a HMI. Battery life is way better than expected
Fluke connect & 24V source would be valuable upgrades

Invaluable addition to the toolbox
As an E&I Engineer, the 773 has become a tool I use almost every day. Very convenient to allow testing of 4-20 mA loops without breaking the circuit. Also supports Sourcing and Simulation of 4-20 loops.

No Breaking the Loop
This is an incredible troubleshooting tool. Quick check for mA with a error of only .06 mA in most cases. The VDC measurement, source, and simulate functions just add to the usefulness. I am very pleased with my purchase

A Time Saver
The Fluke 773 Meter has made my work with process instrumentation far more enjoyable. Having to not break the loop to check the current is invaluable, and having voltmeter functionality available in the same meter saves even more time.
Only one minor complaint -- the supplied leadset isn't up to the usual Fluke standard -- the wires are small and flimsy, rather than the nearly-indestructible test leads normally supplied with all other fluke meters that I've purchased.
