The most portable large solar offering, Nomads fold down to a quarter of their full size, making them ideal for situations where power needs are large and space is limited. The Nomad 200 provides up to 200 watts of solar to keep a Yeti power station charged and everything from laptops to fridges to medical devices running for days on end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I'm very disappointed. In direct sun light the 200 charged at a rate of 5% every 20 minutes, but when there was some scattered clouds present, albeit still very bright, it charged at a rate of 1% every 50 minutes. I work in an area where there is no power available. So I bought the 1000X power station, which I do like very much, but the busier I get (as I use a fair amount of tech) I need an assist in the form of a solar panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solar 200 works This product performed as expected. It did a great job charging my Yeti 1500X. You do need to pay attention to the angle of the panel relative to the position of the sun to maximize the charge. Would definitely purchase this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power for off grid oxygen These are large panels and weigh about 22 lbs each. They generate about 150 w each and must be continuously repositioned to get max performance. Having said that they are a great option if there is no other source to recharge the Goal Zero battery. We use the system for my wife's oxygen machine when we are "off the grid". Nice to have that freedom!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No "Sun time" I rated a "3" because as a result of a long delay in getting my vehicle (8mo.) I haven't been able to field test my panels. I used them briefly last summer and they worked, and were built very well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I bought 3 of these to go along with my Yeti 3000X (reviewed separately). They seem very well constructed, but don't seem to perform at the premium level the price tag would have you expect. I know one can never expect a full 200 watts from these panels, but I've never seen them perform better than 120 watts. I've had them for almost a year, and had them out in all types of conditions, including the most prime, full, perfectly angled, premium summer sunshine in the southern US, and still, NEVER better than 120 watts per panel. The average is closer to 60 watts per panel. They work, but are a disappointment considering the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Max Output very disapointing. I have to admit that I´m a big goal zero fan, but the output of the 200w nomad panel never really exceeds more than 65w. Even at noon, fully in the sun and at a perfect angle I never ever saw more than 70w. I use a YETI 1000x with the Nomad 200. Build quality, look and feel, ease of use .. everything is fine, but the output is simply too low. Goal Zero support told me this is completely normal. Not sure about this...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Can only get 125 watts out of these panels with perfect alignment with the August sun. The output is not worth the price. I like the size and weight but other panels are so much butter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed after 15 months The solar panel failed after 15 months normal usage. And worst: the warranty claim was rejected for incomprehensible reasons. Wow: it's the last time I bought or recommended goalzero products, really

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical product, poor performance Practical weight and size with the folding system. But it produces barely 115W under laboratory like perfect bright sky summer sun conditions in Southern California. Combined with the Yeti 1000 it is too weak to avoid the generator to run empty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent power option I recently purchased (11-10-23) two Nomad 200 panels thru REI. I was hoping that these would quickly charge my 1000X and my 1500X, I will admit I had some concerns as my Nomad 100 is a bit of a disappointment. The Nomad 200 panels consistently produce 145 to 155 watts according to the input meter on my 1000X and my 1500X. I am pleased that I can make one trip outside and set up one panel instead of dragging out two Boulder 100 panels and I do like doing things the easy way. I see other reviews that differ from my experience but if one takes the time to read and experiment with rotating the panels with the movement of the sun one will be rewarded for the extra effort. I am very pleased with my Nomad 200 panels. Keep up the good work Goal Zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ineffective I bought 2 Nomad 200 panels and the cable to chain them together. Put them in bright sunlight for about 5-6 hours. Per Goal Zero’s information, this should’ve been enough time to fully charge my power station. But over 5-6 hours, my battery only increased 7%. Basically, I don’t have the ability to recharge my power station from the sun. If power goes down, I’ve got what’s in there, and that’s it. Won’t buy anything else from Goal Zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy store and easy use Have had a Nomad 200 for several years, road trips, and power outages. Needed another one to up my charging ability for my GZ6000X.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 4 uses it isn't working properly We have loved our yeti however we spent $600 on the Nomad solar panel and we were excited to use it. After using it just 4 times it is charging less than half in full Arizona sun. We have babied these and stored them inside with our yeti when not camping. We spoke to goal zero and they are offering us $200 for a panel that is obviously defective. I wouldn't waste your money on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a serious solar panel. I’m impressed with how HD this panel is. It also charged my Yeti 500X faster than I thought it would. I’d buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will it last? It seems generally OK, but it has no handle or carrying case. The bigger issue is that it doesn’t have any foot pads for protection. It’s going to be set up on asphalt, concrete or dirt and the outer surface is made of cloth material that I can’t imagine will hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not real sure about the negative reviews. Not real sure about the negative reviews but I am gonna assume those are from the inexperienced. Been a Goal Zero customer for over a decade and I own more of their products than my wife knows about. Just picked this up for the Memorial Day sale and tried it out today. Just threw it out and set it up just to see what it would do. 178 In with no adjustments. I messed with it a little bit and got 181 for a brief second. Definitely worth the money forget the haters. They rely on mama for the next meal. Been using Goal Zero products for a while now, they perform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nomad 200 Seems durable. Definitely portable. In nominal atmospheric conditions in August in southern CA it was maintaining about 130 watt output.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good panels, but they need two things to be great! The Nomad 200 panels are great, I love how thin they fold to, and the charging is good. Of course like with every solar panel getting the full advertised output requires perfect conditions, but I was getting between 130watts and 170watts while charging. In my book this is a win. There is however two thinks keeping these from being great! The first is a more secure buckle to keep these folded up and the second thing is a nice carrying handle. This would make it nice to carry the panels out to your sunny spot. All in all I like the Nomad 200 solar panels, but would love to see a carrying handle added!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Beast Love it. got 160 watts with partial shading on some of the panel. Very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low Output Always a low Output, even onder the best conditions of full sun on a cool day. Never saw over 120 watts. Then after 3 years the panels are dead due to poor product design. The cables that connect the 4 sections of panels together pull on the soldered connectors evertime the panels are folded up. This is because they are too short and move around as a piece of 3/4" tape is expected to hold them in place. It only took about 15 camping trips for the panels to fail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power up off grid with Nomad 200 Easy set up, repositioning, take down, and transport. Highest output attained from the Nomad 200 has been186 watts. Easily keeps the Yeti 700 charged while powering the Alta 80.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the Dark I bought the Nomad 200 for piece of mind. Having tried it out, I am more than pleased with my purchase. Buying the panels was fast and easy with shipping arriving ahead of the delivery date. Let the power go out.....with my Goal Zero solar generator and the Nomad panels, I won't be in the dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size effective option for 200 W This is a smaller and more convenient package than two normal aluminum 100 W solar panels. I feel like the weight of this package is almost the same as the two 100 W solar panels. However, because in my situation space is at a premium and weight is not really a factor, the extra expense of going this way to get 200 W of solar really the only option size of two normal solar panels would not have worked at all. However, I do have other 200 W solar panels installed on different things such as RVs and other things and have opted for the more cost-effective aluminum frame versions, which work Perfectly well in this situation, I am dealing with the trailer that is pulled behind a motorcycle making the issue. The product seems durable and easy to set up and of course interfaces seamlessly with goal zero yet 700 charging system with the adapter the additional price a necessary evil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subpar construction I've used this panel on a 2-3 trips a year for about 3-4 years, so maybe 10-12 times total. I could reliably expect 130-170w in full sun and liked it. On my last trip I was hardly getting anything from this panel, maybe 30-40w. After seeing the picture from the other review of the broken connector, I felt where the cables connect and noticed one wasn't flush against the edge like the others. I can confirm that a little piece of tape is all that secures the cable linking panels and when it inevitably fails, the wires shift and tug on the little copper strip which will definitely break. I was able to solder mine back together but I'm confident I will have this problem again. I will be looking for a different 200w panel to replace this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very handy Works well and lighter weight than I expected. Very portable. I didn't realize that it has a different cable than the Nomad 100 therefore I had to order an extension cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally satisfied I bought this as a replacement for my boulder 100, lots thinner than the boulder, twice the power, and the same weight. A little awkward to set up initially, easier with two people. Good power output, charges my 1500x easily
