not run a full refrigerator as advise
very good quality I'm a Eng. tch and by spec the only way run a full refrigerator is if the refrigerator is linear inverter or if power bank is low frequency inverter. I test with a small refrigerator and the yeti 300 cant run the refrigerator I wait for a yeti 700 to do the same test

Unable to service, even when relatively new
I have had two smaller Yeti batteries and both stopped working spontaneously after a couple of years. GoalZero updates their models fairly frequently though and won't service the older models (they were purchased new in 2021 and 2022 from REI and need new fuses). Unfortunately, this means they are now headed to a landfill... GoalZero provided a 20% off coupon for new purchase, but this just means another battery would be headed for the landfill when it stops working after a dozen or so uses. Super wasteful, seems like more planned obsolescence, ironically from a company named "Goal Zero"...

Top Notch Product & Support.
Got this unit around 4th of July for a camping trip to power and recharge the smaller electric things like flashlights, phones, iPad etc. Also powered 2 nice small tent fans.Worked great all weekend on 1 charge for me and my girlfriend. Used it since for more camping and workshop chores. Charges FAST, in 1 hour from wall. Had a small issue with power cord and customer service was GREAT. Delt with the issue quickly. Best product/service I’ve seen in a while!

My first back-up
We live in Oklahoma and this year with record tornado's we contemplated the need for a short term power back up system. Our first conversation was what was a priority. Mine was internet and coffee, with this we can make accommodations to stay somewhere else in a worst case scenario. This unit is perfect for that application. We haven't lost power for more than a few hours in 10 years so protecting for more than that seemed overkill. Going from having NOTHING to staying connected gives us the peace of mind we need.

Emergency back up unit
This is my 3rd Goal zero station. My first was the old style "Bullet shaped" device from about 8 yrs ago!.
We live in FL and during hurricane season living out in the country you have to be prepared for trees/heavy branches to fall etc.
So far all the Goal Zero items I have bought over the years have worked extremely well. I keep them charged year round just in case any sudden storms pop up.

Happy I upgraded!!
Boondocking must! Tells me my wattage IN and OUT so I can monitor energy levels. Lighter in weight and the dust covers come in handy.

Ideal for off the grid mountain cabin.
We bought recently 2 yeti 300s and a string of lights for our off the grid cabin, 9,700 ft in the Eastern Sierra Nevada’s. Everything works well. The weathered covers on the yeti and requiring to push two button to turn on is a bit clumsy. In addition, the length of the light cords are really short. We now have 4 batteries (2 300s, 1 1000, and I think a 500?$ and a bank of your solar panels. Great product and perfect for our summer getaway.

Huge improvement!
We have the Yeti 150 and it has served us well. However, the sealed battery is starting to not hold a great charge. We upgraded to the new Yeti 300. This is an impressive upgrade with the new control panel and lithium ion battery. The unit charges lights and power supplies so much more quickly. And, the 300 holds a charge much better than the 150. The new 300 is a great improvement.

Not durable, apathetic customer support.
I bought the previous version 3.5 years ago. I really liked it, seemed rugged and fit my needs. 3.5 years later, the charge port broke out of nowhere. I contacted customer service and was promptly met with troubleshooting tips. Great. I tried them all was appreciated for the help.
They didn't work. Goalzero said that's all I can do. If the charge port is broken they won't fix it. My battery apparently had only a 2 year warranty, not 5 like most of the other products they sell.
I was offered 20% off of a new battery. Why would I buy a new battery from you? I would still be spending $240, just to have it fail again under normal use? I mentioned other companies battery options at this price point, and GoalZero's support told me I could accept the 20%, or buy from another company if I prefer. Thanks? If I can expect 3.5 years, I'll definitely look elsewhere.
They don't stand by their stuff, unfortunately. There are plenty of other companies that make great batteries, so I'll take my money to another battery manufacturer.

Yeti 300 quick to "reload" on solar charging
I purchased the newer model of the Yeti 300 and the improved technology is much better than my Yeti 500 of the older version. The Yeti 300 recharges much faster than the 500. If I had the funds I would update my 500 also.

Car charging cord?
I was excited about this until I realized it didn’t come with a car charging cord and of course the solar charging option is hundreds extra. Should have just bought a new battery and used the inverter and solar panel I already have. Honestly, I’ll probably return it.
