The Google Nest Doorbell is a battery-operated video doorbell that is compatible with all homes. Unlike other video doorbells, the Nest Doorbell is designed with a vertical field of view. A 3:4 ratio means you can see people from head to toe and parcels left on the ground. cannot see live video and have to wait 10 minutes after i get a notification for the video to be available. would not recommend.
hard to navigate and cannot open live view. takes forever and keeps saying not available. not sure what good this is if I cannot use it. when i get notifications about someone at the door it tells me video not available yet and take about 10 minutes for me to view it so that doesn't help me at all. If I had not already opened it and mounted it I would return it. Also when it gets below 32 degrees it comes with a warning about draining the battery. what are people suppose to do in the winter ??? Not happy with it at all.

Great camera at a great value
The Nest camera is a really great cam for indoor/outdoor uses. Like the title implies, if you are new to the Nest/Google ecosystem, then you will be good. If you are already using older Nest cams and use the old Nest App, then you might run into some frustrations.
The camera itself is built solidly. Feels like a premium device and has the performance to back it up. Magnet is super strong to hold it in many different angles. Inside the box you will find the cam, charging cable, mounting hardware (there is also an optional sold separately indoor stand you can buy) and the quick start guide.
Video and Sound quality are great as with all of other Google's line of cameras. HDR and Video quality was always sharp, day or night to see what is going on. Sound sensitivity can be adjusted to record all things ranging from dog barks, insect activity to people/cars. Sound is loud and clear.
After getting over the fact that I can't use the Nest App and started training myself to just use Google Home instead, I found myself not caring so much about it. It really does a nice job on what it is supposed to do. All in all, the Nest Cam is a great camera and worth it.

This battery doorbell requires Google Home and does not work in the Nest app. Google Home is junk when it comes to controlling Nest devices across your home. Hopefully soon they will rebuild it and make it like the Nest app or better, but until then I would stay away from this product and buy the Nest Hello. For one, once you set it up in Google Home you will continue to have to set it up all over again most times you want to view it. Very frustrating. It is just not user friendly at all. It is disappointing that Google purchased Nest but has yet to improve upon it and only make it useless.

Better than average
The doorbell is well made and has very clear video. Setup could have been easier but I did get it setup eventually. I do like that I can be notified by my Google and Alexa devices when there is activity noted by the doorbell. Time will tell if I am satisfied using the doorbell without a paid subscription.
