As a loyal customer I ignorantly went to HP to buy replacement toner only to find I could have bought same name brand product from third party sellers for ad much as 20% cheaper. What else can you say about Black Toner? I will say, It Is Darned Expensive, and The New ones for this Printer are about 1/32 of an Inch Narrower than the Old Units I Have for my Previous Printer, so I have about $400 Worth Of Toner That Is useless To Me!

The cartridge is fine. I cannot find a way to turn off the HORRIBLE status box in the lower right of screen. It prevents me from using my computer and there is no way to get rid of it. I don't need an advertisement for ink clogging up my computer screen.

I own several printers ink in the past, after try many aftermarket products, yes you'll save a few dollars, I ask myself this questions is it really worth it? The pro and the con. How do I feel about purchasing the original oem Ink, you can't never go wrong when it come to a chip reader, less hassle dealing with after market ink and don't have to worries the ink is incompatible or even damaged your printer.

Printer is overstating my need for a new ink
The printer makes noises when I don't ask for it to perform, tells me that my ink levels are "low" when it's not, and doesn't want to print unless I unplug it (-does everyone get the "printer not responding message"?).
HP listen: my Costco purchase Laserjet printer is a lemon, it doesn't work well. I hate having to buy expensive ink (you are overcharging for this) to supply a problematic HP printer.

I usually use only HP products. Although this time toner cartridges are extremely expensive nearly double which has made owning this HP laser jet not nearly as economical. I found you can purchase the cartridges can at other sites the only issue is the printer will not read them. So it will not notify HP when you run out.

If the frequency with which the software asks you to reorder cartridge, compared to how long said cartridge continued to print, if this disparity proportional to sales tactics, then can build case in favor printer/software warnings purely sales gimmick. Recommend weight the cartridge, compare to full, and go from there

I purchased an HP Laser Jet Pro M281 for home use. Before that I had purchase several ink jet printers. I bought a set of cartridges from a supplier and they would not work in my HP Printer. Come to find out the HP printers have a proprietary chip reader which will not recognize or see my replacement cartridges. So I had to buy a "HP Cartridges" at a higher cost, I am very sad and disappointed with HP. Tell you what to make it fair please send me a complete set of replacement cartridges to make it right. I ordered online and it shipped quickly. Also came with a return label to ship back my old one. Dropped it off at the UPS store in town which worked great. Print quality is outstanding.

It is much less expensive to buy Toner Products directly from HP than buying HP Toner from any place else....Even Amazon. I've been tricked into buying the exact product number from a secondary seller, and then discover the quanity to be less!

Fast printing, could use a second tray
Really like this printer when I'm printing 8.5x11. Quality is sharp and it gives you lots of pages per cartridge.
Whenever I have to print legal, it can get stuck if the format is not exactly 8.5x14. A second tray would be awesome.

Wrong Cartridge For My Printer
I bought this cartridge on the HP website after entering my printer information to ensure that I got the correct cartridge. Much to my surprise when I attempted to install the cartridge it was not the correct cartridge for my printer. Lesson learned, check everything at every step or use Amazon since they seem to know what cartridge my printer needed.

This one worked, unlike the previous broken one.
I purchased a double pack, and when I installed the 2nd cartridge, it rattled. When it printed, the pages were solid black. There is no way to reach HP to return a broken product which costs almost $100.

A victim of an HP firmware update
no my printer rendering my 3rd party cartridges useless (until I swap the chips out which I plan on doing when the HP cartridges run dry). Better yet, the firmware update disabled the wired and wireless networking capability of the printer. While this is a known issue with the update, HP has done nothing to rectify it, let alone provide any troubleshooting assistance. It's taken me about a week to figure out how to get the printer to work again on my own. You can bet that I've disabled the automatic firmware up dates on the printer and that I will never buy another genuine HO product again.

I received the toner cartridge with the box it was in (shipped only as shown above) was crushed on one end. Even the plastic container in the was bent and disfigured. For something I paid so much money for, I expected it to be shipped in a manner commensurate with its value.

We bought a full set of cheap China toner carts from Amazon for a little less than 1/2 price. The amount of grinding noise was intolerable. The print quality was horrible with streaks and lines on every page. Nothing like the real deal. HP. Are they cheap? No. Do they work? Flawlessly! You get what you pay for in these high quality, high yield cartridges. Highly recommend!

Individual cartridges
Most of my printouts are black ink. This color laser printer is really nice because I can choose to print only black most of the time and only the black cartridge runs out of toner. When I want something in color it’s ready to go and hasn’t dried up like inkjet printers do.

High Yield Black LaserJet Toner...!
I trust the HP online store to provide genuine HP toner cartridges for my HP printer. The cartridges last a long time, but I chose to get the High Yield black cartridge because I print a lot of documents that use only black toner and I don't like to run out of toner. What can I say? HP makes great printers and the toner cartridges are great. I especially like the way the cartridges work: they are easy to install, and they communicate with my laptop so I can see approximately how much toner is remaining and have time to order a new cartridge if needed. I've never had a problem with HP toner cartridges. My first HP printer lasted about 15 years and was still working but I could no longer connect it to my new Comcast Internet. The printer's circuitry was just too old and it was not compatible with newer equipment, etc. I am amazed that the old printer lasted so long and that is why I bought a new color LaserJet printer. I love it. It's wireless and just needs a password to connect to my home Internet! And, the toner? It's great!

I purchased two (HP-copier 9010 and laser 281) in May 2020. I deeply regret it, I have had nothing but problems with instant ink, thinking the program can be used for both printers, mistake of me thinking instant ink would work for laser. I ordered for the laser toner cartridge over the phone, after ordering a bundle not realizing 4 colors didn’t come in the bundle only 3 colors. Replacement I needed 4 not 3, why bundle 3? Finally order the one blk cartridge and it took forever, when shipping was 2 days and I received it in 6 days. I am discussed, discussed, discussed...TRUTH!

Quality and consistency of HP printer products.
I have been using HP printers and HP original print cartridges for more than 20 years in several countries simultaneously. I am amazed at the reliability and consistency in all locations. During this time I have never been disappointed in any of the printers or cartridges. They have all performed perfectly. I have never lost any time due to a product failure. This is very important to me as many locations are very remote in emerging nations, where a product failure would result in more than simply lost time. Thank you HP.

I do a minimum of printing so these toner cartridges are hard to distinguish from results that I had with aftermarket cartridges. The cost is outlandish and in all probability not buy any more. Will go to a different make of Scanner/printer.
