Take out the X-cart's and put in the test carts. Now the printer will not install because the test carts are for a previous model of HP printer. 1.5 hours into this mess, I find that the yellow X cart is NG. Why not tell me which cart is bad instead of telling me that all are bad?

It would also be very helpful if the printer would STOP when the ink supply runs so low that the quality of printing is affected (the "have another cartridge on hand" is not very helpful). The way it works now, we have to print a bad copy before we know that ink is totally depleted...wasting a lot of good paper.

My only gripe is that it comes in a separate box from the other colors. It used to come in one box with the other two colors. That makes more sense. Less shipping cost and less packaging cost could then be passed on to the consumer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from four new cartridges for 4620 officejet Purchased them a few weeks ago and just installed them yesterday; spent much time troubleshooting (scan and print doctor, etc.) but so far have been unable to get the unit to print or copy. Went to the HP “community” for help, was told early this AM that since unit had been idle a while, ink in print head may be “dried up” and we may have wasted our money on the cartridges and should’ve bought a new printer. Any additional thoughts or ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, H Horne

And why does it say original HP ink depleted when there's visually an almost full cartridge there that's printing? I recently put in all new cartridges that I ordered here. One of the colors (think it was this yel. one) would not print until I kept shaking it & putting back. Finally put a dab of alcohol on the sponge, and after using for a while it started working, or at least partially. But now printer says it's not. Also says other cartridges are low and they're not. Cartridges were sealed and within date.

I can barely get 250 4x6 prints per cartridge/set of cartridges, and only if I keep printing well past the replacement warning, photo by photo, until I start to see problems. I'm pleased with the quality. HP Vivera inks are bright and beautiful, especially on quality paper like the HP Premium Plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 564xl yellow I buy from HP because a lot of on line retailers sell older cartridges - which can be out of date or soon-to-be -- (HP will not print with cartridges that out of date) HP direct the cartridges are new ---- One thing I don't like is the newer cartridges no longer have a window which the print checks to see if the cartridge is empty -- the software now just guess at the time it is out and it is NOT OUT -- That's why I will not buy a Epson or Canon printer any more -- they guessed why short of being empty -- I know now when HP says it's empty is not

I have used it for a short time and the printer is already telling me I am low on allow ink. I am fine with all other cartridges. As such, I will go back to other supply sources

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP for HP It has been my experience, in the past, that only HP ink cartridges work well in HP printers, thus have not ever used any other manufactuers cartridges in this printer. The XL cartridges do provide additional printing over the non-XL cartridges. If using an HP printer, then HP cartridges are the best for print quality and volume.

Normally this is a very great product, but on the last 3 purchses Ihave received a defected cartrage.This is not just limited to the HP Store. There are two other stores with the same problem. Half of the diode is missing on the carterage and they will not work in the printer. This seems to be a manufactors defect and needs to be addressed. I hope it"s fixed soon as I need ink for my printer. There are others defected as well. They are as follows: 564/564XL Blk. 564/564XL Cyan. 564/564XL Magenta and 564/564XL Yellow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst of the lot in number of copies The yellow 564XL has been very poor. I have had to purchase 3 of these to make copies of black and white only photos. It runs out quickly and will not allow you to continue with Black only as my previous HP printer I used for years. This is not very good move for HP. In the past, I was very happy with the printers and the inks. I tried to report this to support however I could not find anyway to do this without paying a support call.

The cartridges work flawlessly and the high capacity cartridges are more economical and last longer. I always get a 10% discount and sometimes I am able to use a coupon. The cartridges arrive the next day with no shipping fee. I like that HP provides a plastic postage paid envelope for the recycling of up to 6 cartridges.

I bought the 564XL High Yield in yellow, magenta, and cyan hoping it would last longer for printing pictures for albums. I suggest it's beneficial to me and HP to sell the "ink" to refill their cartridges for convenience and cost. I would rather pay for the ink itself instead of the plastic cartridges.

I purchased the HP 564XL High Yield cartridges in Yellow, Blue, Magenta, & Black for the first time in the XL High Yield categories, and I'm looking forward to a much longer period of use before having to replace them, as was the case with the smaller cartridges. Since then, I have purchased the ink directly from HP. The price is either comparable or less, the quality can't be beat, and the delivery (free!) of the ink comes within a couple of days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOA I bought several cartridges in December and just got around to replacing the Yellow one... and upon placing it in the printer it says that it isn't "genuine" and doesn't see it. It has ink in it but it won't accept it. Pretty sad since I even bought it from HP.

I was surprised this last time of how much the cost increased. I was also surprised that instead of "Next Day Delivery" the fastest was "Next Business Day Delivery" so I had to wait 3 days this time. I had to print a return label and I had no black even though my computer said I had a new cartridge in. Not real happy this time. May God Bless

My printer is getting pretty old, but I baby it, and that's why I don't want to take a chance of messing it up with a cartridge that might not be as good a quality as the ones I buy on a regular basis from HP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It when south so fast Ink cartridges ordered from HP website caused lots of problems. It’s crazy. So I installed the new inks then when I closed the door, got message to make sure paper was in tray so it could realign. What? This hasn’t happened before. So I said to myself, “ooookay, do whatcha gotta do”. Well, alignment failed...several times. So, I thought “let’s print with our new cartridges.” Well, not so much. First printing had streaks with some areas light print and others areas where like I decided to take up painting...like Jackson Pollock no 5, no more like Convergence. Not so good tat all. Have no idea what happened. I then decided to purchase another set of cartridges locally, I know what ur gonna say, wrong move, right? Well, u’d be right. Spent over 100 bucks, again and, u guest it, same thing but more like Pollock Number 17A. Next 2 prints were lighter versions of the artist and finally, nothing, nada, zippo. Have no clue what went down, except my printer of course. Well it’s old, abt 4 yrs. Wait, is that old? I think not. In all seriousness, I’m disappointed with the cartridges and what finally happened to my printer. My printer no longer works. A coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. But, facts r the same, printer doesn’t work anymore.

So i thought purchasing new cartridges would work in the set up. Man, I was WRONG. Am in the process of returning the printer to Best Buy and waiting for them to ship a new printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Like Individual Cartridges better than tri-color I have been using HP ink cartridges for 20 or more years. In that time only 2 were DOA. My wife prints art projects and can use up one color far quicker than the others. Additionally, HP has always been quick to send ink orders including an envelop to recycle used cartridges. Nice policy.

Unable to purchase at my local Office Max so I decided to try online. Ink came quickly, safely packaged and ready to be used. On shelf and waiting to be used.
