It prints out black ink as black as the ace of spades and there are no smudges or fading out on the paper. This ink is of excellent quality just as I expected it to be. This one fits and I can’t see any difference from the larger cartridge which comes with the color cartridge, we use more black than color.

Left it unplugged for those days and now it's accepting the ink. I am an Instant ink member and your website is NOT user friendly when you need to order more ink (lost the replacement in the move) and then order one and get an email that it can't be tracked because I didn't get it from the Instant Ink portion of the site. I couldn't FIND a way to order it. Right now I'm not happy, but this is a first time situtation. Hopefully in the future It will go better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make sure you get new cartridges After I installed it my printer and the hp smart app keep telling me I have a non hp cartridge installed. This is not the first time this has happened; it also happened with an instant ink delivery. In both cases the bag the cartridge was in was taped closed and the piece you need to remove before installing was taped on with scotch tape. In both cases I think I got recycled cartridges and I will never order another one. If it happens again with another instant ink cartridge I will no longer use instant ink

I needed 2 black cartridges and since a pack of two was unavailable, I was forced to purchase two single packs which cost me more money. Also, in my opinion, the cost of the cartridges are higher than what they should be, especially since I have been a customer of HP products for years.

And by the time that we used the extra large size of 63 printer ink, it didn’t work - it had dried up. So we drove to OfficeMax and they didn’t have any 63 ink on their shelves. So from OfficeMax we drove to Best Buy and there was a line outside the store waiting to get in so we drove home. And at home we found the HP Store website on line and ordered two cartridges of the small size 63 ink cartridges. And it worked just like printer ink is supposed to work. We are satisfied.

The printer keeps printing a test page - wasting a lot of ink. I only want to print black and white: the test page process also wants to see color, No published way to eliminate the test page. Every time I want to copy a document the “request to align”. appears. I do no know if it is the fault of the cartridge or the printer. This has never happened to me before. I really loved this because I’d much rather spend my money on anything else other than shipping. The ink works quite well. It’s black ink, black like my soul these days. Like everyone’s soul these covid days, am I right? Heh ya good ol black ink to match my dark morose mood all thanks to covid19. I need this ink because I am a mobile phlebotomist. I have to print out my orders daily. And yes, that includes orders for patients with Covid. Without the ink, no order, without the order, no sample taken, without the sample, no way of knowing if the patient has covid or not. So, I guess you can say y’all are crushing covid, one batch of ink at a time. Thanks HP for helping fight the good fight against covid.

I went on line a d ordered one from the website based on their recommendations for my HP ink jet #63. When it arrived I installed the ink and again kept saying reinstall ink error and would not function. I ended up buying #64 which works correctly. I have now had purchace ink twice when I should have had the correct size automatically mailed to me since I pay for the monthly subscription and ita the 1st time I've needed ink extremely unhappy

When installed the new black cartridge I received from HP into my HP OfficeJet 4655 printer, it did not print a correct alignment sheet which means it did not scan. I tried several times including removing and replacing the cartridge but received the same bad result each time. I then reinstalled the cartridge that was almost empty and it printed scanned the alignment perfectly.

I had to "talk" to a chat person, then someone on the phone took my order when the computer HP site wouldn't let me order. Later, II found the black ink 63 at Best Buy for the same price and got that order in 3 days! I don't know if I would order ink from HP again--it was a hassle.

My old printer does not recognize it and says cartridge missing. I am so frustrated I purchased a new Printer from HP. I tried to install the printer to my PC. The printer did not come with a cable to hook the printer to PC and therefore I can not download the program to get the new printer to work. I am an 81 year old woman and can not just run out and buy a cable for it so here I sit with no printer still. I am going to purchase from another company and see if it turns out any better. I had issues with this cartridge and had to use the "clean cartridge" function on my printer several times in order for it to print correctly. I also had problems with the ordering process for this cartridge (but that's another story and I doubt there is enough room here to recount it all).

So called, spoke with one of your customer rep who told me that Ami the rep needed to talk to me to make sure I was installing it correctly but it could not be installed cause it was the wrong one, in the right box but wrong cartridge. I explained that and asked to send me the correct one and I would send the wrong one back in which your rep agreed to do. But nothing has been received and it’s been a few weeks. So what do I think of your service. I don’t it stinks.

The HP ink cartridges give good quality copies, but in my experience do not produce anywhere near the 190 pages that is claimed, even doing just basic one page typed letters (no pictures). In my opinion, these cartridges should be retested and a more accurate estimate given. Otherwise, I have had no problems with HP ink cartridges.

I thought HP made ink cartridges that were "long-lasting" which is marked on the box. These weren't marked that way. Still working on getting a refund

After I printed maybe five sheets it says it’s low on ink. I don’t understand I just bought this ink and I bought it directly from Hewlett-Packard to make sure it was good high-quality. I am so frustrated I have submitted emails to Hewlett-Packard and I have heard back from no one. Please contact me.

We have to print test pages and then sometimes it will start printing. The HP 63 are in the upper price range comparably and seems to be lots of wasted money on what use you actually get out of them if you leave it sit for a few weeks without printing.

I do relatively little printing but am still replacing cartridges frequently. I wish HP offered Extra Large cartridges in number 63 cartridges.

If this happens again, I will no longer be purchasing my toner ink from HP. When I purchase from HP I expect quality... Evidently what I got was some used, dried up cartridge. Hopefully this won't happen again, because I will no longer be buying from HP. This has never happened to me in all the years I've been buying ink from other vendors. not happy

Showed plenty of ink, but barely anything printed. So, bought regular sized and great printing again. What a waste. So glad it wasn't the printer.

New cartridges work great, but I've tried the economy, original and the bulk cartridges and all have dried up when I get just below 50% ink capacity. I've performed the clean cartridges task as well as the deep clean, but neither helped. Any suggestions to get lasting results would be appreciated.

After waiting almost 3 weeks for it to arrive I put it in my printer only to find out ITS NOT COMPATIBLE!!! I’m so disappointed I wound up going on Amazon and getting my refills, and they arrived the next day and were cheaper. Moral of the story I will NEVER order from HP again.

I had to research the instructions on the web as they do not come with manuals anymore like in the past. Already used one ink cartridge in less than 1 month. Do not sign up for automatic ink replacement not worth your money.

The ink cartridge works great and I would buy original HP ink cartridges regularly if the prices were compatible with the knock off brands.

So I just ordered a single cartridge and gave up on the subscription. I am pleased with my single cartridge purchased but annoyed about the subscription service.
