Great printer
HP deskjet 4255e is a great printer for printing, scanning and scanning capabilities. I used the print app to do the set up, it was super easy to follow. You can connect the printer to the wifi network and just with your phone you can give print commands. Quality of prints is great. It has black and white and color options. It comes with Hp ink subscription for the first three months which can be extended. You can map the printer on multiple devices. Comes with a nice one year warranty. It can accommodate 60 pages in the inout tray. The printer gets automatic updates. Overall, a high quality printer for your daily printing, copying and scanning needs.

Fast and Efficient! Setup Issues
I was really excited to try out this new HP DeskJet 4255e to replace my old HP Envy printer. Upon my first impression, it was well packaged and looking great. It was larger than I expected, but very lightweight and easy to move around.
Once I plugged in the printer, I noticed that a blinking white light alerted me that more steps were needed to connect and setup the printer, but not much easy indicated what to do. I looked over the quick start reference guide that came with the printer and noticed I would need to download the "HP Smart" software to set things up. This was NOT easy and the software crashed several times after I downloaded it and tried to set up the printer. I had to power cycle both the printer and laptop a few times, then use the HP Print and Scan Doctor software from the HP website to diagnose the issue. Next, I downloaded a basic driver software package from the HP website before the doctor software would recognize and connect to the printer. After all of this work, I was able to set up the printer swiftly.
I test printed after everything was set up and the ink cartridges installed. The printer was very fast and the printing results were very satisfactory for a home printer. I would give the printer 5 stars, but the convoluted and difficult set up process forces me to lower the ranking to 4.

Needed an upgrade and got one!
After using an HP 2752e for 3 years, I finally upgraded to an HP DeskJet 4255e. The set up is so super easy because of the HP Smart app, and the ink replenishment service is amazing! After a small hiccup of the paper feeding sideways from the main back tray, I have this thing figured out! I love that it also has a top feed option for copies, yet still maximizes my desk space.

Printer is easy to set up, basically a plug and use product. Prints crisp pages quickly. best feature is the easy ink. No more running out and having to hunt for ink or paper. The easy program is worth the extra few dollars to join for piece of mind of always having ink available. Very good printer for a student or someone who prints a lot.

HP DeskJet 4255e printer surpassed my expectations. Upon opening and installing, it was lightweight and user friendly with easy to follow guides from computer/cellphone apps. The printing quality on a scale of 1-10 would rate 9/10 as it was almost perfect every time. Great new printer
I got my HP DeskJet 4255e printer and got it set up. I know it's set up was easy, but I had my 19 year old grandson come over to help me. He's much better at doing stuff like this than I am.
Anyway I love this printer. I've been having so much fun learning about it. So far, it is amazing. One of my favorite features is the instant ink. It knows when I need ink and will send it before I need it. I've printed pictures and they come out so nice. As good as getting them printed in the store.
I've printed photos, recipes, cute cartoons, and instructions. Take time to learn the printer and try different features. It does everything I need it to and then some. I'm still learning.

Perfect for my small business
Extremely easy set up took me about 5 minutes from Start to finish to set up the printer. Crystal clear prints and copy's no blurry colors or uneven printing. Also I printed 100 pages with colors and black and white and it took less than 6 minutes to print all 100. I am extremely impressed with this printers capability and being compacted is a bonus it fits perfectly on my dresser makes almost no noise while printing and coping

Not As Easy As They Say
I received my printer which was package extremely well and immediately unpacked everything to start installing the printer. The installation was easy and did not take me long since I already had HP Smart downloaded and also subscribe to Instant Ink. I was up and printing in no time. Then I started to have problems. I printed about 15 pages which involved using both the color and black in cartridges. Then my color cartridge ran out of ink. The printer would not let me print using only the black cartridge. A page printed out and said I would only be able to print reports. I waited 5 days to receive the new cartridge and then the HP Smart App kept saying the printer was offline. I did numerous troubleshooting tips, ran the Print & Scan Doc App, and everything else imaginable to try and get the HP Smart app to recognize the printer was actually online. I don't know what I finally did to make it show to be online but it finally showed to be online.
I have not had much of an opportunity to use the printer since I had the above mentioned problems but what printing I have completed has been of good clear quality. I have printed from my laptop, iPhone, and tablet with no difficulties now. It is a quiet printer and I look forward to using it for many years to come in hopes that I do not have any connection issues like I mentioned. Fingers crossed!

Just opened the box and took out my new printer. It's GORGEOUS! Compact but sturdy and neat. Took very little time to install on my PC and wifi. The print is vibrant and perfect! I'm a happy office worker!

Beautiful, crisp, pages!
So far all the printing I have done has been wonderful. The printer was extremely easy to set up (for my husband :D ). I was able to print from my computer, my phone, and my husband's tablet. The ink was nice and crisp, deep black, and came out extremely fast. i am VERY happy with my purchase.

Disappointing
The drivers wouldn't download. I spent 2 hours and 25 minutes with tech support, and she was unable to get a proper download. I expected more from HP. Returning this printer, I do not recommend this product.

Solid printer but software needs work
The HP DeskJet 4255e Wireless All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer is a great printer to have at home for regular usage. It doesn’t print out fast per se but it does print out detailed and precise. I enjoyed its ability to connect to wifi and print anywhere you are even if you’re miles away using the HP Smart app. The printer has two types of scanner by photocopy or scanning your document through. Quite convenient for home. I would say this isn’t a printer for businesses as it can only print 25 pages at a time and is a little slow at printing. Definitely a personal use printer such as for school or printing important documents time to time. The reason I deducted a whole star is that currently with the software there is an issue of print PDF files. I had to contact support to see what was going on and was made aware that it is an ongoing issue that hasn’t been resolved. Many users use PDF files so it’s an extra step to convert the document and print it out as so. Overall I like the printer and its quality. The added bonus is it does come with 3 months of free ink through HP Instant Ink and has affordable options past that. The Instant Ink keeps track of your ink levels for you so you never have to worry about running out of ink.

This product is an all around great help. Very easy to set up and install the needed software. Very thrilled 3 months of instant ink are included. This does a great job copying, printing, and scanning your documents. I replaced an older HP printer with this an I am very pleased with my choice. I love that you load the paper in a a back paper tray that is vertical instead of a horizontal tray. Great quality printing in black and color as well. The product was well packed for shipping and it was protected well for shipping. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an upgrade or a first time purchase of a printer.

Simple Printer
I like the simplicity of this printer even though i think it is kind of slow! If possible i recommend a higher up level! I think a darker color for printer is better and on this model only the white one is available! Another thing that i don’t like is that the ink will not last as long as i expect! The HP application for me is kind of confuse, it took a bit of time to install and i don’t use it! I just press print right after whatever i have to print! The quality of the print is ok! As a simple printer we can only expect so much! If you need to print many pages and fast better look for another way to print, as this printer is not fast and quality specially color wise is not that good. But if you just need a simple printer for home use this will be ok!

Just what i needed
I recieved my Printer and it is perfect. Just what i needed for my home office .
it prints fast The colors are vibrant and no smudging .
I have it hooked up the USB cord, but love the wifi option.
I did have an issue with Printing it kept wanting to save it instead of printing. I little research i found that it needs to be on Microsoft IPPClass driver to print, so once i changed this setting no further issues. Having the smart ink delivery will be a time saver and will save some money.

Good for some, not for all
First impressions out of the box: sleek, lightweight and basic. The screen is very small. My wife doesn't have the best eyesight, so the screen was hard to read. The paper tray can be tucked away when not in use. After removing all the tape, set up was about 15 minutes. Did not see the step 5 in the quick set up guide for set up and animations. But since using a printer before I knew how to install ink and paper. Not a lot of paper will fit in the loading tray, just a pinch, so not ideal for big projects. Wireless printing worked great. Printing speed was efficient. Even tried to print a photo using HP glossy photo paper. It took 1 minute & 15 sec but the picture came out nice. This printer is good for printing and copying documents; small projects only. Photo printing is good for a couple of photos, not an album. But also not sure how many photos you can get before new ink cartridges are needed. Overall this printer will not work for my family. Its not fast enough and as basic as they come. The screen size is just too small.

I love this printer! It's replacing an almost 10 year old HP that I have, and I love how fast it prints. It was simple to set up and connect to my wifi, and the free trial of HP Ink is a plus. I like that the copier bed is a nice size, and I like that I can scan or copy multiple pages at a time. I'd highly recommend this for a basic printing needs, home office, or small business needs.

Fast and Foolproof Duplex Printing
If you have a home office setup and frequently print or scan documents you'll appreciate the speed of the HP DeskJet printer and the duplex scanner.
The set-up through the app is instant and the automated refills are really convenient. Being able to print documents from my phone is a big help and I had a refill delivered to my door without having to press a single button.
The size is relatively compact and fits well into an office or living room setup.

Great printer
The printer was pretty easy to setup using the app. Once I got it setup and printed my first few pages the printer could no longer be found. I spent a day trying to figure it out on my own and two plus hours with tech support. After while they stated it was because I had a VPN installed on my phone. I took it off and it still did not work. I did manage to use a household members phone and after about an hour plus it eventually connected to theirs. Not sure what the issue was with that phone as it did not have a VPN. It is a nice little printer for small print Jobs. I find that it goes a little slow for me compared to what I'm use to. I was provided with three months free instant ink which is a plus and saves money. Once I signed up for that I was offered a monthly subscription to recieve paper with my ink as well when they are low. I love having that automatically and I no longer have to search for ink to purchase.

HP Printers March Campaign
This HP 4255e printer was fairly easy to set up, from start to finish taking about 15 minutes, as you have to create a profile online and set it up through your smartphone. You also have to subscribe to a monthly or yearly membership. This allows you to print directly from your phone to your printer from wherever you are, as long as you’re on Wi-Fi. HP also gave a big discount on ink with this subscription.
The lack of noise and printing speed of this 4200 series is pretty impressive.
Also, I would like to point out that the photo I posted of the flowers is printed on regular paper and not photo paper. I did that on purpose to show how vivid the colors are even on regular paper. It took about 7 seconds to print that large color picture!! I tried posting the video of it printing but it wouldn’t upload.
In conclusion, I would definitely recommend the HP 4255e printer as it can definitely handle whatever home or small business printing projects you have!

I've been a loyal user of HP printers for decades and I can honestly say that the newest addition to my home office. the HP Deskjet 4255e, did not disappoint. The set-up was easy and intuitive, I had no issue connecting it to my home Wi-Fi or getting it going. My computer quickly picked up the new printer and was able to print without any fuss. I've found that over the last month there's been no noticeable depreciation of the ink despite regular color/bw use and the print quality is exceptional. Overall, I highly recommend this model of HP printer and have nothing but positive feedback regarding the performance.

So happy with my new hp deskjet it came well package. Everything needed come with it. Easy to set up the wireless connected like a breeze. Print was fast scanning no problem. The black and color was easy to snap on had instructions with photo. The paper it printed was bright colors. The app for smart hp is useful. Great printer for my family photos document copy. The HP DeskJet 4255e is a great addition to my home office. I am pleased that the printer is a 3 in 1 as I use my printer to print out things on a regular basis. Also I am a huge fan of instant ink and this printer is instant ink compatible. Now I do not have to worry with running out of ink. It was easy to set up with my wifi network and I use the hp app that goes along with the printer. So far as the pages being printed. The pages come out a nice quality and no smears. The buttons are easy to access and the paper is easy to load.
Overall I am very pleased with the quality and print speed.

Great printer for small jobs
I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight this printer is. It's not big and bulky. The initial set up was simple and the directions were easy to follow. Once you install the app on your device it will also walk you through set up. The paper tray is small and it will not hold a lot of paper. It's great if you don't print a lot at once. The digital screen is small and it's a little difficult to read. I do love that this comes with a free 3 month trial that provides you with ink. Once the 3 month trial is over the actual monthly price is really a good deal.

I received the deskjet 4255e from HP. It arrived safely in great packaging. This was so easy to set up straight from the box and I was using it within minutes. The app for the phone and software download for ky laptop didn't take but a few minutes to set up for use. The printer prints great with vibrant colors as well as black and white. The printing wasn't slow either. The scan and copy feature was great as well. I highly recommend this printer whether for a small business or just for home use.

Overall, the HP DeskJet 4255e does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It was easy to set up and I was printing within 15 minutes. The quality of printing was clear and professional. The color photo turned out crisp and clear. I wish the paper tray held more sheets of paper. The photo printing was slower than expected. So, overall- it does its’s job! Curious on how long the printing cartridges will last and how expensive it will be to replace.

I got this all-in one desk jet printer by HP, thanks to the Insiders campaign. You can print, scan, fax and copy with this compact, wireless printer. It has an automatic, 35 page document feeder, making it easy to print or copy multiple items. I connected it very easily using the HP print app. You can print, scan, copy, or fax right from your smartphone, tablet or desktop computer using the HP print app. Setup took about 20 minutes and it was really easy using the HP set up instructions. This HP DeskJet 4255e, all-in-one printer is the perfect size for your desk. I do highly recommend this HP printer for printing, scanning, copying or faxing. It’s the perfect little printer for your home office use.

incredibly practical and comfortable
Apparently it looks like a simple printer, but when you get to see its brain and the countless functions it has, your jaw drops.
Its configuration is very easy, which makes it suitable for all types of audiences, the connection between devices is very easy.
What I liked most is being able to print my documents from anywhere and not having to be close or connected to the same network
The print quality is very good, it takes time to print in color or pages with a lot of content but the result is very positive. The 3 free months of supplements allow you to test this machine more frequently. without a doubt the best friend for your home or small business

Great Lightweight Printer
I was in need of a new printer after my last HP printer that I have had for over 10 years started acting up. I knew I was always going to go with HP because I absolutely love the HP Instant Ink program! I would never have a printer without it. I love that I don't have to monitor my ink levels. When my ink starts to get low, HP automatically sends me new cartridges to have on hand for when my current ones run out! All you do is pay a small monthly fee and ink just magically appears at your door and you don't even have to pay extra for it. As for the performance of the printer itself. It was very easy to set up. The step-by-step instructions that were included made it very easy to plug in and follow along. The printer is lightweight and easy to move around if needed. I was happy that it fit into the small space that my previous printer was in. I am able to print from my laptop, tablet and phones which makes it so convenient. The print speed and quality are awesome. I have been able to print documents and photos with ease and they all turned out great. The scanner works quickly and scans to a high quality print. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend HP and this particular printer model to anyone who is looking for a new in-home printer.

Easy set up and Go!
I needed a newer printer to do my taxes and other forms for my small business but did not want something too big for my space so I chose this one. It was a very easy set up with wifi and I was able to start printing right away.
I used the copy feature to see if the colors would match and they matched very well. I then printed using the black and white prints for documents and it was fast and printing well from across the house. I then tried to use the color print for a photo and it took me a little while to figure out how to do so. I chose not to use the automatic ink ordering system and I am not sure if that created an issue withe the downloaded software. I use a MacBook Pro laptop with the newest OS system. At first all I could get was a black and white print but then I found if I went into the EAsy Start software instead of the Smart software and chose print photo I had the option of printing in color. I am not going to use this for color photos as I see lines in the print. They are not too noticable until one gets close but they are there. I will use it for color documents if I can find that feature without using the EAsy Start software. I will update as I go along as to how one can print in color and avoid using the photo menu.

I received the HP Deskjet 4255e and unpacked it immediately. I followed the easy setup directions & was printing beautiful pages both in color & black & white within 10 minutes. I have owned HP printers in the past and it has lasted me a long time so I am not new to the hp brand. I am loving the HP DeskJet 4255e. It is so clean looking and fits nicely into a small space. The setup was seamless and easy via wifi and also creating my account with HP. The printer is great for home use. I would not recommend for business use. However, this is a budget printer that has all the essentials you would need. It prints quick whether in black or color. It has e-printing and makes printing anywhere around the house very easy. Although I am giving this printer 5 stars, I didn't like the tiny screen.

Great printer for home use
The HP4255e printer is easy to configure with wifi, it's great for home use projects, it prints fast and its colors are very good, it comes with 3 months of free ink and with the HP+ subscription option which has no cost and good benefits such as print when you are not at home with the hp smart app and order inks at a very low cost and an extra year of warranty protection. Definitely a very good investment at a very low cost.

Great Easy to Use at Home Printer
We purchased the HP DeskJet 4255e Printer for our home. I typically print coupons, medical documents and things for my children's school projects. As well as scanning in or faxing documents occasionally. And this printer was a perfect fit. Print speed is better then I expected for a smaller at home printer. The print on the pages come out crisp and clear. And best of all, the printer came with ink cartridges. There were also easy instructions for setting up the printer to be used with our cell phones- which was a very important feature for us when looking for printers. And most importantly, the printer works wirelessly. We're very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this printer.

Super nice prints
This printer was really good at printing color pictures, I printed some on regular palate and photo paper and both came out really nice. The process of setting it up was super easy my 15 yr old did it. It’s not complicated at all and the printing is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Perfect printer for my needs!
This printer is perfect for my household needs. Great size doesn't take up a lot of room. Pretty easy to set up the printer to my wi-fi and to my computer. The only issue was in the instructions it made it seem like we should take off the tape looking thing on the printer cartridge, it ended up ruining the cartridge and we had to go out and spend $50 for a new one. There is a tape looking thing at the end of the cartridge, on the instructions it looks like you are supposed to remove, don't do it. Great print quality and easy connectivity.

Got this for my home office and it’s a great addition. Quality prints quickly, very efficient, and very little noise so I can print any time of day. Love that the ink is affordable . Set up is fast and easy. Definitely would recommend this printer for home office or small office use.

HP - my new fave printer
I havent had a personal printer at home in quite some time and HP is setting the standard. My first impession was modern and stylish looking machine. The printer itself isnt too bulky and is very light weight. The setup is fast and easy, even for the least tech savvy person. The printing speed is surprisingly fast and the quality is excellent. Colored prints are vivid and couldnt be better. My favorite feature is the wireless printing from your mobile device. The full size scanner is a great feature as well. I definitely recommend this printer for anyone looking for a personal or small business printer! Cant go wrong.

Best HP Compact Printer
I am very impressed of the HP 4255e desk printer. It was very easy to install and runs beautifully. Connecting to the WIFI was very easy with the help of the HP app. It’s a 3 in 1 printer. It can copy, scan and print with little effort. A novice of technology will love it because the set up is so easy. I have had several printers and I find this one to be the best. It is also very compact that fits anywhere. A very useful feature is the subscription of auto delivery with HP for ink. It will send you more ink when you are running out. This printer is so versatile and so easy to operate. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I chose the HP DeskJet 4255e to replace my current HP Envy Printer. I like using the HP Smart Print App and the HP Instant Ink program. The app made setting up the printer, connecting to my Wi-Fi network simple. I was also able to activate the 3 months free trial of HP Instant Ink, remove my old printer and add the new printer to my existing account. HP Smart Print allows me to wirelessly print, scan, copy and fax on the go. The printer is a bit noisy, but it prints fast and the print quality is good. It's a great All in One printer for home users. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I really like how easy it is to print photos with this printer. Just 2 clicks and it's working. The quality is better than when we ordered prints, and we can print photos when ever we want. A friend of ours needed photos printed for her sons graduation. She was impressed at how quick we could get them done for her. She also said the quality of the prints was every bit as good as the prints she ordered.
My wife uses the printer for printing documents, recipes and recites. She also likes how easy and quick it is.

II definitely purchased the perfect printer for my home use and it was super easy to put together, the printer prints beautiful pictures and it gets the job done and i also had an account with HP so I just had to reestablish my account and got my inks delivered to my home.

Fantastic printer
I have used several different printers in the past and decided to try this one. It was fairly easy to get connected to the wifi and get started. I started printing within about 15 minutes. The colors are good and the speed it pretty swift. I would recommend this this printer.

Perfect for a home office.
This is the printer I did not know I needed. I have a home office so I had a small printer and upgraded to this one. It works more similar to the large printer in office. I can now add the pages I want to scan for faxing or printing purposes and it is so easy. Previously I had to scan each page but with this one I can scan the 4 to 5 pages I need. The ink is not too expensive and it doesn't run out fast. I have printed out colorful picture and they come out vibrant which will be perfect for the kids projects when school begins. The set up was extremely easy and offers hp+ an option for people who use the printer often and want to take the guessing out of ordering ink. I am happy with the ease of everything from start up to actual production.

Fairly good for normal usage
This HP 4255e printer is overall a good printer for average use for per se a student or general office printing. I enjoy have compact it is and easy to install everything from the ink to the software on my computer. It is not the fastest printer but it prints in a decent amount of time. You can only print 25 pages at a time at most but generally for students and/or regular use I don’t think I’d exceed that. I love that it has the option to scan by a light scanner and by scanning through a feeder. The biggest benefit is being able to print directly from your phone anywhere you are. No need to set a reminder or forget to print something simply because you’re not home. This printer does come with three months of free ink and the same program also monitors your ink levels for you so you never have to worry about running out of ink. To note, I would not recommend this for businesses or anyone who prints a lot. This particular model is definitely for those use a printer on occasion not for 100’s of prints a day.
The only con I have is that there is currently a software issue on printing PDF files. This is a disadvantage because most documents are PDF. Even documents directly soured from HP site are PDF and can’t be printed with my printer. It is a known issue and has yet to be given an ETA on when it’ll be resolved. It’s an extra step to correctly convert the document and make sure it prints correctly.

Laser Fast! turbo machine Compact multi purpose
This was perfect for my needs especially for my NYC apartment, incredibly compact can copy and scan documents quickly and beautiful color. Love that this doesn’t take much space at all. Love that I can scan and copy and print all at once without having to run out and do small jobs so quickly and confidently in my home! Cuts my work in half super fool proof and good to have in your home without being the size of a TV stand!
