Come on HP
My computer and monitor work great. I gave a 3 star rating because of the way the online sale people were. I called HP 3 times before I purchased my system. Each time I called I got different numbers for the cost of each item I purchased. Also, when I asked specific questions I either got no answer or a very vague reply.

The best professional/work monitor
I am very pleased with this monitor. The size is perfect - I bought a 49” 3200r monitor first and it was too much. 45” is the perfect size with 1500R.
For my setup, I do wish the USB connections were on the right side of the monitor and you didn’t have to reach behind. However, the volume control on my keyboard actually affects the monitors speakers (none of my last 2 monitors responded to that).
Finally, it can be a bit finicky to wake my laptop after a period of no use but maybe I just need to play with the settings more. Other than that I hope the colour profile will come in 98% P3 one day.
Overall, I think this is the best curved monitor on the market for professional use! I am very happy with my purchase.

Solid Performer with Some Noteworthy Features
I have been on the hunt for a super ultrawide monitor to replace my dual monitor setup, and I believe I've found a winner in the HP E45c G5. I use the monitor primarily for productivity (8-9 hours/day) and gaming (1-2 hours/day).
The Positives:
- The OSD is user-friendly, providing a wide array of settings.
- The button layout, with a central confirmation button and d-pad, allows for easy navigation.
- The KVM functionality is impressive, allowing seamless switching between two PCs connected via HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-A to USB-C. The four USB ports make managing peripherals effortless.
- Picture quality is outstanding, free of interlaced patterns and color gradient issues that I experienced with my previous monitor of the same resolution.
- The stand is excellent, positioning the monitor well on the desk and offering height adjustment.
Color:
- Various color settings are available, including Custom RGB, which appears brighter for some reason.
- There is some vignetting (darkening) at the extreme edges.
- Unclamped colors seem to lean a bit warm. They are vivid, but you can find monitors with similar panel technology with better color spectrum coverage.
- While it claims a 3000:1 contrast ratio, blacks don't appear very deep, but they are still darker than my previous IPS monitor.
Form Factor:
- The 1500R curve is practical, although I noticed some gamma shift around the edges, which would not happen as much with a 1000R curve. Still, it's an improvement over the 1800R curve that's common out there.
- The slightly smaller screen size (44.5") and higher pixel pitch (120 vs. 109) optimize screen real estate without taking up excessive desk space, compared to similar 49" monitors.
Response Time:
- Overdrive settings didn't produce noticeable differences in my tests, regardless of VRR status.
- Despite HP claiming a 3 ms GtG response time, this panel appears to outperform many VA panels in response time and black smearing, even without being able to change overdrive settings.
- 165 Hz refresh rate is plenty for casual gaming, especially considering an expensive GPU is required to take advantage of anything better.
UX:
- It took a bit of settings fiddling to arrange the KVM to work across 2 PCs connected with DisplayPort and HDMI.
- Some more fiddling was needed to get the HP Display Center app to recognize the monitor.
- Switching between PCs with the KVM is quite easy, and is done in only two button presses.
Overall, the HP E45c G5 is a versatile monitor, great for productivity and also quite capable for gaming. The display has a few minor issues, but displays an otherwise decent picture for work and casual gaming. I'm quite happy with it.

PURE PLEASURE
Sitting in front of this monitor is a pure pleasure. Hard to believe the years of sitting in front of individual, dual monitors.

Terrible Experience
This monitor was no functioning on arrival and I am still waiting for a replacement to ship. It took me over four hours and multiple calls and chats to even get to this point. HP has gone significantly downhill in quality and customer service.

It just works. Buy it.
The virtual display option on this monitor is a game changer. Using it, the monitor behaves like two monitors next to each other. I can maximize windows, share my screens during video conferences, etc. without using the full physical size of the monitor. I love that. Switching between my PC connected over DisplayPort and my laptop connected via USB-C isn't the smoothest, but it works. I'd recommend this monitor to anyone with the desk space to support it.

Great function but terrible instructions on set up
The monitor works well and has stunning clarity. However, the instructions for set up are terrible and I am certain I still am not getting the full value of the features, yet.
