Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool Monitor I received the monitor earlier than anticipated, on the day it was expected to ship. Setup was easy, although I did have to watch YouTube videos and read prior reviews on what cords are required. Thanks to those other customers. There are NO instructions in English, as previous reviews reported. I would give it 5 stars otherwise. It is a beautiful monitor. The camera tucks into the bezel, out of sight. You can disable the microphone. The speakers are good but I have additional Logitech speakers that I usually prefer. You can easily switch between speakers on the monitor/computer screen by simply hovering over the speaker icon and clicking which speaker you prefer. The display is clear and crisp. The adjustability of the monitor is easy & amazing. It adjusts as described in the specifications. Connecting the monitor to the stand is easy and self explanatory. There is a large sheet of paper over the monitor with picture detail of how to connect the monitor to the stand. Overall, I love it. I just wish I had gotten a bigger, 27 inch, one.

The video quality is average at best, not crisp, not better than my current laptop HP camera which is 4 years old. My son has better clarify from a webcam he purchased and attached to his computer.

Comes with a slick camera and microphone setup that recesses into the top of the screen when not in use to protect privacy. Easy setup.

Step 4 shows the USB connection which you might ignore if you don't plan to use the USB ports on the back of the unit. But when the webcam doesn't work and you dig in to the PDF file you'll find the USB connection is needed for the webcam. Step 5 shows the audio connection but that really is optional, unless you have to use VGA video. (The cable isn't included , by the way.) Then there's the matter of getting my 5 year old HP Pavilion laptop to use the monitor. It's easy, as it turns out, but I had to do a search for that. One sentence on the Quick Start guide could have pointed me in the right direction. Then there's the control buttons at the bottom of the monitor, which aren't explained without diving into the PDF file. The only operational issue I have had is with the volume controls. During a remote meeting the volume control buttons were very erratic unresponsive. So were the volume controls on the keyboard. I could only control the volume by opening the Windows onscreen "slider" and changing it that way. But it was only during that one meeting that I noticed a problem. Otherwise it's been fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is cumbersome, difficult to install I needed a larger screen to attach to my laptop since I am now working from home. I also needed an installed camera for Zoom meetings so landed on this product. It looked beautiful as I unpacked it and I was mildly annoyed that the instruction books within the package were all in Spanish. I found the English version on line, had trouble with installation and spent 2 hours on the HP website and Google trying to get help to set this up. I finally paid a computer tech to help since there was no technical support phone number on the HP site. The product worked for one day after set up and the next day it started and would turn off at the slightest nudge of the equipment. I went through all procedures to check cords and restart only to have this happen several times. I am returning the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null The monitor is easy to adjust and maneuver without taking up too much space. Also extremely easy to assemble (no tools needed). The screen is easy on my eyes, and I love that the camera retracts into the monitor. The sound is good enough for what I use it for, which is simply communicating and everyday computer stuff. I'm not a gamer and I don't use it as a speaker system for my music. If I did, it would suit me just fine. The camera resolution is poor. I have a tablet with a built in camera and the difference is night and day. For the most part I still use the monitor camera simply because the poor resolution doesn't bother me. However, when I had to record a presentation for my virtual class, I used the tablet camera, because I didn't want the instructor distracted by the poor resolution when grading my work, and the tablet camera just made my overall presentation better. Also, with the camera at the top of the screen, unless you bring the monitor all the way down, and maybe adjust your chair higher, it will still seem as if you're looking down when talking to other people. Overall, my experience with it is about the same as any other monitor. It's okay. My suggestion, figure out what's most important to you and choose a monitor that gives you that, because you will likely to have to compromise on everything else. If you're looking for a good quality camera, this is not it. So, you may want to consider purchasing a web cam and attaching it to a monitor that you already have or love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed to work from home I bought this monitor as I finally gave in and came to the realization I’ll be working from home longer than I had expected. Have been using my company issued laptop since the beginning of COVID19. The screen is only 14 1/2 inches so finally decided I needed something bigger. The size of this monitor is perfect, and fits well on my new desk. Immediately was able to connect it to laptop. Only thing I’m still figuring out is how the camera that’s within the monitor connects to my Zoom for work. No biggie I can always open my laptop and use the Zoom there. Luckily I’m not on that many calls during the week. Highly recommend. The pixel on the screen is great. I’m very happy with my purchase.

My only disappointment was that the integral camera required an additional USB connection, in addition to the HDMI, to use the camera. Not a big issue but additional wires always contribute to clutter.

I like the cordless mouse and keyboard, and especially like the 16 GB of memory. I couldn't give 5 stars because 1) The disc drive is hidden and vertical which makes it harder to use. 2) There are no directions on what to do to set up sound, camera, voice prompt, etc. Non tech savvy people such as myself will struggle to get things in order when you first turn your computer on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic concept; setup NOT user-friendly It took 2 intelligent people and a LOT of frustrated "Googling" to figure out how to get the camera to connect and how to make the sound sync correctly. The user guide is minimal detail; there's no real user-friendly video from HP; questions are asked online if you can even use outside of Skype. ALMOST sent back because I thought it didn't work. It does; there are several manual settings you may have to select; and I haven't decided if the camera is great quality or not - it seems fairly grainy but it could be the connection still (I've only been playing around with the settings for a week). This will likely be a decent product if they add some user-friendly how-to's or at least develop HPs user guide for those who aren't tech gurus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed with this purchase I bought this monitor to be able to do video conferencing. A couple of days ago, after experiencing a split second power surge, all of a sudden the monitor showed a Theft Mode Enabled message that I've not been able to disable. I've searched online high and low for a solution, and all I've been able to find is some directions from a blog suggesting pressing the "+" and "-" at the same time for ten seconds or until the message disappears, all to no avail. Something similar has happened with my HP760FC2 OfficeJet 3830 series printer. After experiencing a minor power surge, the printer now starts to show a screen message that it was not turned off properly and it keeps trying to turn on, doing all kind of noises. It's very frustrating. I cannot use either the monitor or the printer.

So I ordered a set of HP system 400 to accompany the monitor, When the monitor was installed I found that it was speaker equipped but there volume performance was not adequate. Installed the system 400 speakers and find them to work well for me. Its very hard for me or your contacts to tell from the spec sheet if this unit has speakers.

The instructions didn't mention that even though you are using the the display port you still need to use the USB card as well to get the camera working. This is not the case with all set ups but if windows is not finding the camera hook up the USB card and you should be good then.

No extra PC software needed. Camera retracts! You physically control video output. Quality very good, I have used crisper. Bonus: B+O built in speakers. Frequency range and distortion more than fine for office desk. VGood separation (surround sound type spread).

When it did arrive, the DisplayPort cable was defective, and the speaker cable port or related function was also defective. I am now waiting at least two weeks for the replacement to arrive with no guarantee that the next one will work properly.

First great feature is the complete height adjustment with the stand, allowing me to bring it as low as 3 inches from the desk (this is important because I use bifocals and I'm used to using a laptop. Also, I'm overwhelmed with the Bang & Olufsen speaker system, and because of the thin bezel, the screen looks larger than its specifications.

The main reason I bought this monitor is because of recent circumstances I have been doing many online meetings and wanted to replace my antiquated Web Cam. The resolution is absolutely horrible. That is my mistake for misunderstanding the description but I could have purchased a very lower priced monitor with out a Web Cam. The Web Cam on this is pretty much useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A disappointment I purchased this monitor because it has a camera and USB ports on the left side. Unfortunately, the camera and the USB ports do not function. I downloaded the drivers from the DVD supplied by HP. I struggled for an hour or more troubleshooting the lack of a camera. I need the camera to do videos and attend webinars. What I ended up doing was to purchase a separate Logi camera by Logitech that works fine. The USB ports don't work which could have been handy for charging other devices or using thumb drives for file transfer. Unfortunately, with the Virus situation going on, heaven only knows if HP can ever make an exchange. I'll never at this point ever purchase another monitor fro HP again.

I didn't want to use my laptop and a separate, second monitor; I wanted one monitor that would act as a desktop where I could do all my work. This monitor is perfect for that. With the built-in camera, speakers, and microphone, this monitor is a one stop shop with no extra accessories needed. I did have to call HP to download a driver for the camera to work on my corporate laptop, but other than that, the set-up was easy - plug and play. If you're looking for an all-in-one monitor, buy this one and you will not be disappointed.

I would give it a 5 but it wasn’t clear how to set it up because the quick start sheet only showed pictures no wording and the quick start wording on the inserts were only written in other languages no English. I finally found a users guide online and was able to get my monitor set up. It came with all the cords I needed except for an audio cord. I had to call customer service to see what kind of audio cord I needed to buy which was not expensive on Amazon. However the monitor does work fine without the audio cord. So I’m not sure how the cord with improve it? I’m teaching interactive classes online so this monitor us great. Only one time right before my class started the camera wouldn’t come on but that may have just been a problem with my class site. Luckily it did come on after a minute or so. I would recommend this monitor. The picture isn’t as clear as my laptop screen but it is much larger which is what I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total Package I was looking for a screen that had a camera, microphone, and speakers already built-in. This one did the trick. The screen is beautiful. Sound is great. Only complaint is that the camera isn’t very high-resolution. That’s why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. For the money, however, this is a very good buy, and I would do it again.
