Why does the printer have to be online to print?
This easy very simple device has been rendered useless by the requirement for it to be online in order to print. If you try to print via USB it then prints an advisory to connect to wifi. JUST PRINT THE DOCUMENT!!! I've bought this printer twice (or more?) only to throw it out of my office and onto the ground thus smashing it into pieces... only to buy another one just to make sure my toners are depleted. Maybe that's the marketing model? I mean, I'm leaving a review for a printer that I hate so there is that.
Truth be told, it's this kind of engineering that shakes my confidence in HP and will guide my future purchasing habits. I use HP printers in 5 different instances and I'm ready to let them age-out in favor of better user experience.

I received this item free for exchange of agreeing to write a review. I am loving how easy it is to use and copy and print from any device in my home. Clear pages and ink seem to last longer. Simpler functions and I like the overall useability of the printer.

A bad product - avoid buying this one.
Unfortunately I didn't read these reviews before I bought it. What a piece of junk printer. Mine also has the " ! " exclamation oranger warning on - but nothing seems wrong. Then I take the cartridge out, the paper, restart it, reconnect it - and aboug 40 percent of the time it works. Never on the first try. Almost always after 10 minutes of logging on to the internet (why? oh why?) and then it says paper out, etc. etc.... No rhyme or reason to its malfunction. Just a bad product. I simply wanted a 'simple wireless printer' - HP of which I am a BIG fan usually - has failed, failed failed on this one. Avoid it. Save yourself the 100 and headaches.

Printer that Doesn't Print
I purchased this 2 months ago and have had nothing but issues since. For example, I replace the original toner cartridge with an original HP cartridge that was purchased at Office Depot (not HP online store) and it doesn't register the new toner levels. HUM. As another example, the printer shows that it is connected to the network as does the test page, but the HP software that monitors the printer shows it off line and "it won't print"! When it was printing, it would lose connectivity often, making it hard for the family (my spouse) to print anything (again a printer that doesn't print).

Excellent functionality and utility
The HP M110W is an excellent utilitarian component of the modern home or office. I connected mine in minutes, and since I already had the HP Printing app installed for other printers, setup was very quick.
The printer prints in shades of black and white, but that's all I need. What it does, this machine does well - a truly focused champion! The print quality is very good and at an adequate speed. The scanning functionality is available through the mobile app. Another big benefit is the small footprint of the machine and elegant design - it does look very nice in my office and doesn't occupy too much space. I would recommend this machine without hesitation.

Very useful
This printer is small and sleek and does its job and is even wireless. I love printing from my computer or phone as my last printer did not have this feature. I have yet to experience a problem where something does not print that I tell it to print and the setup was a breeze. If you need a simple printer at home I highly recommend this one.

Won't connect to Wifi. Only sporadically prints pages over a USB connection. We have to reboot every time in order to get it to print. Even then, it randomly just refuses to print. Now we have to go back to the store and exchange it for a real printer. Hopefully we can get store credit. Otherwise, it will go right into the recycling bin, and we will try again. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for.

This printer is an absolute piece of garbage. I've spoken with technical support three times and they just keep telling me to use the app. We delete the printer then install then the printer continues to have an error message stating the the set up is complete. I've seen other reviews about installing this printer. It's an absolute nightmare. DO NOT BUY this printer.

Perfect Features
This printer is great in many ways. I love how small it is because I don't need a big printer with my current setup. My previous printers were bigger and didnt have Wifi either which is a huge upgrade. It was very easy to set up and includes a guide as well. The printer quality is great as well and does it job very well. I love downsizing a bit plus getting WIFI capabilities. The speed is what I would expect and it looks modern as well. All in all, highly recommended.

Great little printer.
This printer is small, light, efficient and super easy to set up. You follow the instructions, download the app, connect and print! My 14 year old and I set it up in about 15 minutes. We found the app by scanning the QR code on the instructions. It was very straight-forward and user -friendly. He loves he can print directly from his phone instantly and that it doesn’t take up much space. This printer prints one-sided and black and white only. The print quality is excellent and we have not had any problems with skipping or smudging.

When I first ordered this printer I was worried that it would not fit into the limited space i had. I was pleasently surprised. It fits well with space to spare. Set upa nd using this printer is a breeze. Also for the size it prints fast enough. and is quiet enought for my needs.

Loved this tiny yet powerful Laserjet printer. Pretty much half the size of my older printer. Installation and getting ready to use the printer using the HP Connect App was super quick and breeze. Printing is super easy from the device and laptop with 1 click setup. Prints clean. Collapsible paper tray and printer tray are very nice and handy features. Very simple design though lacks any LED. Liked it.

Bought this printer for my home office. Didn't put a lot of thought into it. Easy set up and works to expectation. The only let down is when you have to print several files all at once because it will overheat, pause and resume printing when it has cooled down.

Great little printer
This is the perfect size for my tiny space! I’m not the greatest with technology, but this was such a breeze to unbox and set up! It took me maybe about 15 minutes total to get it up and running. It prints pages pretty fast. Everything prints very clear. I printed about 30 pages total and there was no paper jam issues what so ever.
The size of this is so perfect for a small space. It fits just about anywhere!
The ap was really easy to use for set up. It walked me right though everything. I will be using this a lot for school. It’s the perfect little printer! 10/10 recommend.

From the moment I unboxed this printer, I was impressed. It’s in the category of Small but Mighty. Very easy to set up. Very portable. Very user friendly.
I love the compact size and the sharp printing. 95% of my printing is black and white so this works well for me. The print speed is really good.
You can’t ask for a simpler more efficient printer.
Impressive doesn’t cover it. I’m so glad I got to try this. I know it will be my go to printer. The app for this printer is easy to set up and really simple to use. The print speed is faster than some of the much larger printers I’ve had. The print quality is super good. I’m very impressed leased.

Worst printer ever. Won't connect to wifi. Previously was able to connect and print something, albeit after significant issues clearing the printer queue from a run command I had to google. Anyway, I've printed maybe 10 pages and now it won't connect to wifi. Garbage printer.
Also what is that toner subscription model, get that nonsense out of here, HP.
@HP Care, I get you understand I'm frustrated, I know you don't get paid enough, but I'd rather you did NOT reply below and offer excuses for the horrible company you work for.

I’m really impressed by the size of this printer. It’s small and compact, perfect for a small office. I love that it has wireless printing capabilities, super important for phone users. It was easy to set up and connect as well. You just need to download the HP smart print app, it was quick and easy to set up, connect and easy to navigate. Once you get started, the printer prints decent quality and papers printed at a good rate. It’s not super fast but for home usage it’s perfectly fine for me.

It took a ridiculous amount of time to set up and then stopped working after about 20 hours. The orange light is flashing and the only thing that will print is a test page - that seems to be a common problem. I've given up trying to fix it.

Great space saver and is functional to a point
I purchased this little printer about 2 months ago and so far it has not let me down, something which could not be said about its predecessor. Is it a cheap printer ,yes it is, but at A$129 it was practically begging me to buy it. It took me all of 5 minutes to set up and work out, and at 54 I think Im doing alright there, thanks very much.

I am very pleased with this printer. I have always used ink printers in the past, and that gets costly. I have always wanted to try a laser printer, so this was a great chance to do that.
Setup was a breeze. It connected to wifi easily. Print quality was great. This printer is being used for homeschool purposes to print off lessons, and reports,etc. It being a black and white printer was perfect for what we needed. The toner cartridge it came with should last alot longer than what we are used to. From now on, laser printers will be my preference. Don't hesitate to give this printer a chance. It may be small is size, but it is a powerhouse!

Worst Printer Ever
Worst printer ever is an understatement and I've been in the tech field, professionally, for almost 40 years. Disconnects from wireless. Have to restart between print jobs. It would probably be faster, and less aggravating to just send this to the UPS Store and have them print the documents there.
The best thing this printer has done is make me eagerly anticipating my next printer, NOT HP. At that time I will toss this paperweight from the roof of my home.

Small but Mighty
The HP LaserJet M110w is small but mighty. I am super impressed with its printing capabilities, detailed design and graphic quality. Although it’s only a Black and White printer the quality is astounding. From printing daily copies of business records to printing black and white cricut designs, the LaserJet M110w will not disappoint. I highly recommend buying this printer for all your personal and business needs. The HP Smart App is a great tool to have as well. I can use it to see what’s printing, check my ink levels, order ink when it’s low and even view my other HP printers all from one app.

This is my first laser printer so the HP LaserJet M110w was perfect for me. It's compact and fits on a desk or shelf. I liked that it's straightforward and can be connected to a computer using a USB cable or wirelessly. The setup was quick and easy. The HP smart software is easy to install and works well with my Windows 10 laptop. The print quality of text was even and clear with no smudges or streaks. The printer has sliders to adjust for paper zie or envelopes. I can't find any cons so far. The box includes the printer, the power cable, setup guide, and a toner cartridge. I'm so happy with my printer. Life is much easier printing all my daughter's school assignments and achievements. It was very fast and easy to set up. It prints in seconds and the words are so clear. If you have to print alot of stuff I recommend this printer. It is very neat which doesn't take much space. I feel like I can travel with this printer if I have to. Having a toddler in Pre K this works fabulous.

Great simple printer
Just received and set up my HP LaserJet M110 w printer. The set up guide was very helpful and easy to follow. The most time consuming part was connecting the printer. The hp smart app was simple to use, however my computer had a hard time installing the driver to communicate to the printer. It showed the "direct" option, but the smart app said to not use that one, but after trying multiple ways to manually connect it - I finally got it work! The speed of this printer is super quick and I like that it doesn't use ink carts, just a toner cart. The size of the printer is perfect for small spaces and my small business needs. Excited to use this more! I would recommend this printer to those looking for a simple laser printer for quick jobs!

I chose this printer because it's small, light, easy to set up and use. I knew my dad would be using it as well, so I wanted something simple to operate for an 80 year old person.
The instructions were simple to follow, download the app, connect and print! Didn't take too long to set up. Accessible to print things directly from your phone is a great option too! I also chose it because it only prints black and white. Ink cartridges cost so much and we really didn't need color for anything. The print quality is excellent. No issues so far!

Simply Printed
The HP LaserJet M110w is a simple black and white printer. This printer has a very small foot print not taking up to much desk space. We are using it as a second printing source. Since the HP LaserJet M110w has a small foot print its easy to pick it up and go to use at another office or while traveling. This printer also prints very nice and quick. The setup is very simple we use the wifi connection.

The Ideal Compact Printer
A great little printer. Compact size and very easy to use and set up. I would highly recommend to anyone just looking for a simple printer that does the job well without any frills.
Easy to set up Wi-fi, which I was a bit worried about. It was a breeze though and so nice because my last printer had trouble staying on the network.
Prints well and haven't had any issues with paperjams or disconnecting.
I'd recommend this printer highly.

I like this little printer. The set up process went well. I would have like to have a few more details but it went smoothly. The paper adjustment is inside the housing. To set up the printer you download from the HP site. It was easy to follow the instructions. You will need to decide if you will subscribe for auto ink shipping. You will be asked more than once. The printing is quality and very quick. The features include scanning and mobile faxing. I mention this because this printer would be great for someone who works out of their car. You will never have to search for a printer to PRI t that last minute document. You can take this with you if you have cellular or hotspots. Now I need to think of all the reasons my daughter will give for keeping this fit-anywhere-machine.

Worst Printer I Have Ever Owned
This is THE WORST printer I have ever owned. Randomly refuses to print, I had to waste 3 hours of my life doing the same exact things over and over for it to finally recognize a new wifi connection, and now a week later it won't print at all again. Why? I have no idea, every trouble shooting option says there's nothing wrong with it, and its not worth my time to spend even more hours of my life trying to get this to even temporarily perform its one function before it breaks down again. As soon as I'm done typing this I'm throwing it down the garbage chute, and I hope there's someone waiting to Office Space it in the basement. Didn't even last 3 months. And I'm only writing this so HP knows what a piece of garbage they're foisting on people.

I just want to say the best printer. this was the easiest printer that I’ve ever used. It simply connected itself to my Internet. Also, it prints so beautifully and easily doesn’t disconnect from the Internet at all. So small but a powerful machine it printed my son schoolwork my workload without even one jam or any type of issues, the perfect for anywhere you’d like to go and use. Very lightweight and compact.

First of all, tiny box, I didn't know what to expect! It is a compact printer but gets the job done. I have owned several bulky printers that blow through the ink and fail constantly. The HP LaserJet M110w prints clearly, hooks to wifi easily and takes up very little space. Set up was extremely easy and the print quality is great. I sell alot online and needed something easy and dependable to print shipping labels. I highly recommend giving this printer a try!

I have a small online clothing business, and I constantly need to print out shipping labels to ship items for my customers. I do not need a color printer, and this printer provides what I need for its functionality. I must say that the HP LaserJet M110w Wireless Black and White printer is so versatile and it fulfills my business needs 100%. It was very easy to set everything up, from the power cord, to the paper tray to the cartridge, easy! It comes with an easy set up instructions manual, warranty guide and flyer. It is super light weight, making it easy to move it wherever I want it. My old printer was so heavy and outdated; it would always glitch and the connection would drop where I would constantly have to re-start the printer. Once this printer is connected to Wi-Fi, I do not lose any connection. I like how it has both Wi-Fi and ethernet connections as an option where there is poor Wi-Fi service. It is energy star certified, and I will save on my electric bill when I am not using it. It prints so fast- 21 pages per minute with no paper jams. My previous printer would take forever to wake up out of sleep mode before printing and constantly was in jam mode. This printer is self-connected so if my Wi-Fi drops, it will keep me connected.
I was able to download the HP Smart app on my phone and sign into my HP account. I then connected the phone to Wi-Fi, and I am now able to print from my phone! I am also able to scan and make copies from my phone. There is also an optional subscription that you can sign up for to auto ship replacement cartridges so that you never run out.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with the HP LaserJet M110w. It is the best in its class, and I would recommend it to any small business owner.

Easy to use
I was looking for a very simple printer. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so my space is limited. I do most of my printing outside of my home. I was looking for something simple for little things I may need to print when I'm at home. This came in perfectly. It's simple enough to set-up, even for the non-tech savvy folks like me.

Great for compact spaces and simple printing
I've had a different HP LaserJet printer for years but felt like it was time to upgrade to something that would better handle wireless printing. Setting up the HP M110w was a breeze! The instructions were very clear, the website made it easy to download the install utility, and I was off and printing in no time. Connecting to the app was relatively easy as well, which is very handy because I was excited to be able to more easily print from my phone.
I love the small footprint of this machine. It takes up basically the exact space that the old one did, except this one's white and that one was black. Printing is pretty quick. Because it's a laser printer, I feel confident that the cartridge that came with it will last quite a while.
My only nitpick about the printer is that it is slightly louder than I'd expect. My office shares a wall with my son's room and I don't think I'd want to print documents out after he goes to bed, for fear of waking him up, but aside from that - this is a great unit! Definitely would recommend this to any college student looking to quickly print out papers or schoolwork before class, or if you're like me... for printing out a ton of coloring pages for your kiddos!

Small and simple
When I first received this I did have some issues with set-up, but HP worked with me to get it up and running fairly easily. Once it was up I am quite happy with this printer. It is small, takes up very little space (which I am limited on), and prints very clean and nice. I would recommend this printer to anybody that needs something simple and easy.

Love my new little printer!
I love my new HP Laser Jet printer. It is super fast. It prints on just one side of the paper. Prints only in black and white. Its great for my small business. I love the fact it is small and compact. Doesn’t take up a lot of room, but works wonderfully.

Works Well
The HP LaserJet M110w is a simple black and white printer. This printer has a very small foot print, not taking up to much desk space. We are using it as a second printing source. Since the HP LaserJet M110w has a small foot print its easy to pick it up and go to use at another office or while traveling. This printer also prints very nice and quick. Two sided printing is easy and works well. The setup is very simple.

Once you are set up, it will often break and require getting set up again, re-verifying all of your critical information and keeping your hp account up to date. Scans and printouts are sent to the hp cloud and information is gathered about what you are printing and may be shared with third parties

Fast, Quiet and Small
It has been awhile since I have had a new printer. We love HP in our house and when it was time for an upgrade we decided to try out this printer. The setup was really easy and the directions were simple and easy to follow. Holy smokes does this thing print quickly. It felt instantaneous. The print quality is perfect and it takes up such a small space I can easily forget it is there.

Perfect little thing!
This printer is so perfect I would buy 10 more to give away to my family and friends. It's amazingly fast for its size and compact, which is great for my little apartment. It was very straightforward to setup. Once you download the HP app it detects it quickly, follow some steps and voila! It connects to WiFi efficiently so you can easily print from the tablet or phone.
I love this printer and it's perfect for my little giri' s school projects when she needs to print something out ! !

This is a great little printer! It’s compact and extremely quiet when it prints. Very easy to set up and comes with 2 months of free ink! It’s black and white and has very clear lettering. I love the WiFi functionality, can print from my phone! It’s so easy to use! The app is very simple and extremely helpful when in need of a question , can order ink right from the app, very cool! Love this little guy!

I loved that the printer was small and compact and it doesn't take up a huge amount of space on my countertop. The set up was super easy and I love a printer that's wifi compatible. The connectivity with the printer was amazing I didn't have any issues with that at all. The printer prints great and was very pleased. I also think the hp app makes things simple and is a great tool to use for your printer needs.The printer was a amazing choice for my family needs .

Simple & Powerful Printer
I like this HP LaserJet M110 Printer more than I thought I would. It's compact and user friendly. Loading the cartridge was easier than any other printer I've used in the past.
To set this printer up, I had to contact my Internet Provider to change my 5GHz WiFi Network to 2.4 GHz, then have them change it back to 5GHz afterwards.
Using this printer really s simple. and the cartridge will be very cost effective in the long run.
I already had the HP Smart App, so setting this up was no problem at all,
I've been getting a lot of use out of this printer, and it never disappoints me.
If anyone is looking for a simple, straight forward Laser Printer, this is the printer for you. Not a lot of bells and whistles, so it's perfect for printing things you need right away. I only wish you could make copies, but that's not meant to be. Maybe down the road that will be possible on other printers they come out with.

Small but mighty
Setup of the printer was incredibly simple, including connecting it to our WiFi, and the printer takes up very little real estate. I was originally disappointed thinking I was losing the functionality of a scanner until I found HPs printer app. In the app, you can take a "scan" of a document and send it straight to the printer. I of course tested it out, and I was incredibly surprised with how perfect it came out (see sample in my photo below. Left is original, right is the scanned result). I want to say I'll miss printing in color, but black and white accounts for 99% of our printing needs. My only gripe is the relatively slow printing speed, but with our light printing needs it's tolerable; it takes about 30 seconds from pressing "print" to having the paper in my hand. Despite this, we will still enjoy this printer thoroughly!

Bad customer service, worse product
Product repeated blinks orange “!” And directs me to the app. Where there is so support whatsoever. Go into “manage my account” it tells me to remove the printer and add it back to your account. Once I removed it, the site then said to add it back by going to Advanced Settings in HP Smart (the app) which, upon reviewing, does not exist. Bad customer service, bad product.

Not a good choice for mobile printers.
We use these in our sales vehicles, we have been using the M 15‘s with no problem. The m110 looked like a good upgrade to move my 11 sales vehicles to but after buying 3 and having nothing but trouble I will be looking for something else. Why can’t we just log onto printers Wi-Fi and print? Why do you make it so hard to use your printers HP? Why must they always be connected to internet? Brand has taken a hit with my company.

Exactly what I needed
If you're looking for a no-frills, monochrome printer - you've found it! Setup was quick and easy, and I was printing from my Android phone in no time. Two months of HP Instant Ink membership was included with the purchase, and the monthly fee afterwards starts at $1.99 - which is a great deal. Otherwise, the toner cartridges will cost you around $50 each, and are required to be HP brand.

Perfect for my room compact and works great
The HP Laser jet M110w printer is my first laser printer and It works great .It was easy to set up and is compact and occupies limited space on my desk and prints well.. It prints without any smudges or missing marks and is very fast .Compared to my old inkjet printer this extremely good and the print is crisp without any missed out parts.
One thing I noticed is it gets warm after printing but I have heard that is normal for laser printers.Highly recommend it .
Installing the app was easy , but connecting the device to the app was very tiering and difficult and after printing once the device got dissconnected from the app .
I had to connect again for printing again.

Printer evolution
I still have my first Hp psc 1210v printer, scanner and copier. I received in 2003 as part of my graduation present along with a new Hp computer. The printer Set up back then was easy plugin and install.
My new printer set up compared to the old is still easy to do. The new apps allow you to use your phone as a scanner and copier and send to the printer wirelessly. I am disappointed this model only prints black and white and no pictures. That’s one feature I will miss. The model is a bit more compact and lighter compared to the older printer. Paper feeds thru the bottom and comes out on top instead of bottom. Which I think will help reduce paper jams.

Cost effective
The reason why we chose this printer for our business is to have a lightweight, small size and low power black and white printer for mobile use.
The printer in closed state is the smallest I have seen for A4 size papers. The printer required the HP smart mobile app and is configured to your network using the application and then probing the printer and adding it. Once it is added you can immediately start printing. We also tested it by resetting the printer, holding in the network button for about 20 seconds and then reconfigured it to a new network using the HP mobile app, very simple.
The Mobile app had an option to automatically subscribe to toner refills and receiving some free. You have the option to opt out.
Another advantage with this printer compared to color versions are that the cost per print is about 5 cents per page, compared to about 28cents per page for a color printer. We also tested printing color pictures and the grayscale patterns are perfect for this use.
The printer is value for money, both the price of printer and toner cost, it is lightweight, but without the bells and whistles that comes with all-in-one printers.

If you buy the subscription it works great, if you want to just buy the toner, it's garbage
Worked great for the first 6 months while I was on their ink plan. Then mysteriously, when I chose to stop my subscription and buy the Laserjet toner without the plan, the printer is garbage. Every time I go to use it, it says different errors. I have to re-boot it each time, forget the device on my computer, re-install everything, for it to work maybe a day. Not a wifi- issue as each diagnostic i run it says the wifi connection is very good.

Terrible Printer - it takes a long time for the files to actually get spooled onto the printer. Printer is slow. doesn't have intake of much paper so have to keep loading it up. Really wish they brought back the old series of laser jet printers that were a bit bigger but had better capacity and capability.

Lightweight and affordable
As a business owner were looking for a cheap, small sized and black and white laser printer. The HP M110 series a perfect fit. Setting up wireless printing on my phone was easy and overall printer is perfect for mobile invoice printing what it is intended for.
