Printer
This printer was so easy to connect wireless on the 5G network step-by-step instructions were very simple to follow. The printer is very quick and prints clearly.

New printer performs
I like the speed of operation and how easy it was to set up. So far I love it. We use it for six devices in the home network and it handles the workload without any problems.

No luck for me
The price is all this printer has to offer. There is no display screen to tell you what the issue is. It disconnects from the wi-fi every 4 or 5 days. The set up takes hours because the codes to input fail about 10 or 20 times before it likes one of them. This is not conducive to a productive day for me! Time to go back and keep looking I guess!

Pretty good machine
Pretty good machine. The only thing I wish was different is it is hard to tell if it is on or off by the power button so I have to step back and look under the paper tray to see if the long light is light up. It would be better to be on top of the machine where it can be seen better.

Good printer so far.
I got the M209dw because you don't need internet or an account to get the printer working (as you would with the M209dwe version).
I've never had a laserjet. It was hassel-free to set up and I've been printing stuff since I got it. My only complaint is it would be nice if the image quality could be better. It says 600 dpi resolution, but my prints look less than that (compared to the old inkjet printer I use to have).
Even if the image itself if 600 dpi, the print doesn't match the quality.
Hope I can adjust that somehow, but other than that, I like having a printer that won't need ink/toner replacing for a good while.

Good Luck Printing!
Good luck printing anything other than the info sheet stating it needs an internet connection. Spent about 4 hours setting one of these up and still has not printed a single page from my computer. It just constantly states it is setting it up with an account which, by the way, you MUST have an HP account to put toner on a piece of paper. This account warning is only found once you actually set the printer up and is not shown anywhere on the actual product website page. The lack of screen and cryptic flashing lights makes diagnosing problems a pain.

VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER
Like many relationships, it wasn't love at first sight but now that I have used it, I am starting to let go of my retired printer that served me so loyally for 12 years and was pretty much trouble free and so easy to use. However the sales person did a great job helping me select a new printer that is similar to my retired printer but is smaller. It is also a bit slower but I have adapted to that. I am very pleased with this printer. The next "challenge" will be changing the ink cartridge. My retired printer's ink cartridge lasted and lasted and lasted. I am printer pretty much the same quantity, so I am waiting to see when the cartridge will be depleted. Bottomline is: great sales help and great printer. Also, excellent support.

Worst Printer Ever
Good luck trying to print anything if you're having network issues. If the printer can't reach HP, it can't print. Had a DNS issue yesterday and couldn't print. Ended up just throwing the printer away even though there was nothing wrong with the printer itself. This printer would be great if it didn't require a constant internet connection.

Likely a good printer?
Bought this printer because of it's features and price point. Likely a good printer but after 3 1/2 hours of painful setup attempts gave up, boxed it up and returned for refund.

WARNING: Do Not Buy HP 'e' Printers
Be aware that any HP printer with an 'e' at the end of the model designation will NOT FUNCTION until you set up an account with HP and provide them with contact AND payment information. For this reason, I just threw into the garbage a brand new, never been used, in the box, HP M209dwe. It is a doorstop from the moment it is unboxed.

Disappointing
the HP Laser Jet M209dw printer compares poorly with the HP Laser Jet 1320 printer it replaced. It is slower and has few of the desirable features that the 1320 had.for a similar price. Unfortunately, the 1320 died of old age and is no longer available from HP.

PROJECTS!
I’ve been using a very, very old printer for all of my printing needs from stickers to sell in an online shop, birthday cards, photos, and paperwork galore. While it did work, I truly didn’t realize just how good it could be until upgrading to the HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e. The speed of this printer alone is so worth the investment. I’m able to get more done in less time and the scanning/copying has completely changed my ability to do more collage type of stickers and merch from real life images! I also genuinely love the quality of this printer and so far, no smudges or dull ink like I sometimes experienced with my old printer. If you have a small business, you really need to consider investing in this printer

Nice Basic Printer
Nice Basic Printer! I'm a Linux (Kubuntu 22.04) user and I just plugged it in, downloaded and ran HPLIP and it works flawlessly! I can't thank HP enough for making this printer and HPLIP rocks. Also, the connectivity options on this baby are outstanding for a modern inexpensive printer. You folks have made an old man very happy. Thank you.

Horrible user experience
You are forced to connect this thing to a network to set it up. USB port is hidden behind a very hard to remove sticker. Absolutely piece of junk because of it. Put it right back in the box and returned it. Get a Brother, at least you can use USB and just print.

The printer arrived and it was easy to setup. Installed the app on my phone and quickly configured the printer. I would give this purchase 5 stars if it was not for the cost of toner.

Doesn't pick up paper
We bought 10 of them to give to executives in their individual offices. Two of them stopped picking up the paper after a week. Replaced them with new ones and they worked again for a week or so and then stopped picking up paper. These are brand new, lightly used (maybe 10 pages a day?) printers. It'll print a test page from the device, but not from the computer.

Great Home/Small Office Printer
Got this printer to replace our 25 year old HP-5P. That printer was still working well, although slowly. Biggest problem we have is plastic parts becoming brittle and breaking and HP no longer manufactures the toner cartridge, but they are available as remanufactured.
Unboxing, see photos, was a snap and the only part I had to connect was the tray cover. Even the toner was already in place. Installation under Windows 10 was easy, except for one small step. The Setup Guide says to turn on the printer and download and install the HP Smart software and run it. I had a feeling and sure enough the software reported it couldn’t find a printer. Well duh, the instructions said to connect the USB cable after running the software instead of (correctly) before. Once I did the installation proceeded flawlessly. I then proceeded to connect the printer to my wireless network. Thanks to the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) feature this was a snap.
We have now been using the printer for a while and are very happy with it. We love the ability to print on both sides (although I had to go into Printer Properties to enable this feature) and boy is it fast. And importantly, the print quality is excellent! We have had no issues, paper jams, etc. with it. The small size fits perfectly into our home office and it is very attractive. I opted not to enroll in the Instant Ink program, a monthly fee and HP sends toner as needed, until I get a better feel for usage. Speaking of the toner cartridge, it couldn’t be easier to replace – lift one cover and there it is.

Great printer, but…
Great printer, but the WiFi seems drop out periodically requiring a reset. There could be a multitude of things that could be causing this issue so I’m not too worried about it. It’s more of an annoyance than a true hardware or software issue.
Being forced to buy HP toner is not something I am pleased about, thus the four star rating. Other than that the printer quickly and quietly produces GREAT printouts which was my desire when I purchased this machine. It’s a lot better than the B*****r printer I previously owned.

Works Fine, Except...
I had no problem setting up this printer and getting it to work. It prints quickly. The only super-weird thing is that every time I load paper into the tray, it gives me an 'out of paper' error. If I remove the paper from the tray, or if the paper runs out (I'm using HP-brand paper and Windows 10) and then put more paper in, I get that error. The only way to get rid of the error/get the printer to function again is to reboot my computer after loading the paper tray. Having to shut down all my open applications and reboot just so I can print is a bit ridiculous, not to mention frustrating. I've never experienced this issue before, and I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem?

Good printer, but be sure to install it to meet your needs
I am quite happy with this printer. I read a lot of reviews and proceeded with caution. I was a bit alarmed when I read reviews by people who were unable to print from their computers. Happily I saw that someone from CDW had picked up the reviews and seemed to do be able to help.
All my printing needs involve printing from my computer. For this reason, in addition to the fact that both my wireless and internet connection are not reliable, I installed it via a USB port. So far, so good. No problems.
The only problem I had in installing it was when I neared the end and got a screen to print a copy. There was no information about how to install the input paper tray! I knew that something was missing, I googled it, and it took me to an HP website. Apparently that step was omitted in the online instructions referenced in the paperwork that came with the printer.
