Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor and USB-C hub once you figure out how to turn it on. Great system bringing together a laptop USB-C hub and a crystal clear screen. Simple to use and helps streamline the look of a desk by removing a separate USB-C hub. Comes will all display cord options (HDMI, USB-C, Display Port) so no need to buy separately. Out of the box there was one issue. There is a marked power toggle switch on the back plus a power push button on the side. Turning on just the toggle switch doesn't turn on the monitor. Called support and they didn't know there were two switches either. Spent a lot of time troubleshooting what could have been a simple added instruction step on the start-up instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for the price, glare can be a problem This 34" monitor is a great deal for the price. Pairs nicely with a UHD notebook since it has fewer pixels to manage than the notebook screen. And no problem with the VPN in to work to a computer with an ancient graphics card that I'm amazed even knows what a wide screen is. The good bits: - Great color. - Inexpensive. - Base is more stable than it looks like it should be. Get more wobble from my notebook screen, which supposedly has none. - Just the right size to replace two monitors. - No noticeable lag or blurring in graphics intensive tasks like videos and games. - Well packaged. (Which is good given the condition the box arrived in.) - Comes with all the necessary cables. The caveats: - Sound is a muddy, or at least muted, through the built in speakers. Pass through sounds just fine. - Too much light directly behind you can totally wipe the entire screen. Has a sweet spot, a tiny one, that is glare free if you are really good at not moving your head. In good news, light not directly behind you can be pretty bright with no problem. - Plugs on the back hard to see, hard to reach, even with the monitor face down, and hard to get the insertion angle right. Though if you use a USB hub, you should only need to get at the plugs once. - Power cable is not tight enough and can slip out while shifting the monitor just enough to lose the connection. Could be a problem if you have the monitor on an arm. - Settings buttons and power button in to tight a grouping on the back where you are working by touch. Too easy to hit the power button when wanting to hit the button to exit out of the menus. Though that does get you out of the menus. Not the brightest monitor out there, but was bought mostly as a work monitor, for which it works just fine. Visually, looks like brightness was sacrificed for whites that look more like a natural page white and less like a light source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features. Great price I'm not a connoisseur of displays. I upgraded to this from an LG 29" ultrawide because I wanted 1440p display vs my old 1080p. Viewing other people's screen over video conferencing was giving me a headache with the pixelated non native resolution. I did like the 29" size and I feel the 34" is a bit large but that's the smallest 1440p available now. I also wanted built in speakers and USB-C connectivity, both making for a cleaner desk. I first went with a Samsung since this HP wasn't out yet but the USB-C was not functioning from the start. I also disliked the menu system on the Samsung. I couldn't switch between display inputs easily. You have to jump to each one in order and it can take 15 seconds before you can select the next input. Very inconvenient. So I returned it and got the HP which has the same features I wanted and it was significantly less expensive! The HP also has a better stand than the Samsung. It takes up less depth on the desk because Samsung went with a circular stand. It's prettier than the HP but less functional than the HP square stand. The only thing I prefer over this HP was my LG's menu system. I liked the single joystick system though I'm sure it confuses some. The HP's isn't bad to knock off a star like I would for the Samsung. At least it's fast to switch between inputs. I also appreciate the packaging that HP went with. Samsung had huge blocks of styrofoam which is not easy to recycle. HP went with mostly cardboard and a tiny bit of plastic. I enjoyed opening the box and looking at the package engineering. :) The Samsung came with the stand attached which made for a much larger box to ship. HP chose to separate the stand which made the package almost 1/2 the size. I'm knocking one star off of the features because it would be nice to have cable management built into the stand. In the datasheet they boldly state "Clear the clutter." And as stated earlier I bought this monitor to help clear the clutter with USB-C and built-in speakers. Well I'd say cable management should be a part of that bold statement. It's not a huge deal since the back of the stand is flat and I can make some with adhesive backed cable clips but I really wouldn't cost much to engineer it into the stand. My LG did it with a piece of $0.05 plastic that clips onto the back of the stand. Performance is good for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Great Deal! I've had the monitor for 2 days now and so far really enjoying it. The USB-C functionality is very cool and I like having the 4 downstream usb ports for my keyboard, mouse, web-cam and phone. The hot zones I've found quite helpful. If you drag to the right or left edge of the screen, it quickly expands the item to that half of the screen and prompts you for the other side. You can do the same in a corner if you'd like to do quadrants instead of halves. For this reason, I think this is a no brainer vs dual monitors because it allows for that functionality while giving you the option of spreading one window out if you're working with a large excel model or something of the like. One feature that would be nice that I've heard other manufacturers have is an ability to customize hot zone beyond left 1) half / right half 2) quadrants 3) mix of 2 quarters and a half. Overall you can't beat the price for this monitor vs competitors in the 650-1000 range. Enjoy it so much I'm considering buying a second for my home set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive Failure I was "forced" to purchase this monitor because I sent in an Envy Curve All-In-One in November 2021 to be repaired. I was promised a 10 day turn-around and had not received it back over 3 months later. The monitor is a nice monitor, but I hated buying something from HP while they still had a computer that I purchased for over $2,000. Not sure when I will receive my computer back.
