Rated 5 out of 5 by from A scalable and stable solution that provides good coverage and technical support What is our primary use case? We have deployed the solution for our customers in multiple distribution centers and warehouses. What is most valuable? The product has good coverage. MAC address control and AD integration are valuable features. What needs improvement? The high-end series gives better coverage, but we have to spend more on it. The tool could be cheaper. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for ten years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the tool’s stability a nine out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I rate the tool’s scalability an eight or nine out of ten. Our customers are small, medium, and large enterprises. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is not easy, but it is not difficult. Since we’ve been doing it for a long time, we know how to do the deployment. I rate the ease of setup a seven or eight out of ten. We can connect the access ID and access points and get it done. Most of the time, the deployment is done on-premise. It is controller-based. The deployment could be done in hours, depending on the quantity. We take a day to deploy ten access points. What was our ROI? My clients see an ROI on the solution. Most of our Aruba customers do not switch to other vendors. They prefer Aruba. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I rate the pricing a seven out of ten. If I get a good discount, I can make a good margin. What other advice do I have? Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Integrator

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its main strengths lie in their connectivity, range, and straightforward configuration What is our primary use case? In Oman, I successfully implemented Aruba Access Points for a hospital with nearly two hundred access points. There were around three hundred users, and the deployment, featuring two controllers of the 7200 series, went smoothly. The captive portal solution worked well, and even after I left, it continued to run efficiently. In Egypt, I replicated the same setup for the largest group of hospitals, implementing seventy-five access points in the first phase. The remaining hundred and twenty-five are scheduled for implementation this year. Despite positive experiences with the technology, there were challenges with the captive portal solution, ClearPass, due to a significant increase in its license cost, potentially from HP, Aruba, or the local vendor. To address this, we explored an alternative solution called Sancfor, a Chinese product, which proved to be effective and cost nearly one-third of ClearPass. The only downside was the local distribution and customer service in Egypt, particularly with Aruba Egypt, which was non-responsive and lacked satisfactory customer service. What is most valuable? The main strengths of Aruba Access Points lie in their connectivity, range, and straightforward configuration. Setting up the access point is a quick process, taking only seconds. Standard features such as identity access management, captive deploy tools, and VLE are available. Additionally, Aruba offers medical-grade access points like the 400 series, which is well-suited for healthcare or hospital environments. One noteworthy feature is the impressive handshaking capability, particularly when transitioning between access points. This ensures a seamless experience without disconnection, especially when a well-designed heat map is in place. Aruba Access Points are robust and require minimal maintenance, making them reliable for long-term use. What needs improvement? The support from Aruba, as well as the overall HPE unit, has been lacking. The regional head and hepatic services are nonresponsive, leading to a decline in market share. While Aruba is recognized for its top-notch quality, especially in switching technology, the services and support in the African region need significant improvement. There is a suggestion to focus on enhancing services, support, and presale activities in this region to address the challenges faced by customers, particularly in healthcare. Continued emphasis on research and development, along with addressing regional issues, is recommended for sustained success. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for more than two years at this company and more than four years while I was in Oman. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is very stable and has no issues related to its functionality. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability of the Aruba Access Points is impressive. It allows for easy expansion, with the capability to add up to two hundred and fifty-four access points using the seven thousand two hundred model. To further extend the capacity, a license is required, allowing for straightforward scalability without complications. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We have multiple hospitals under my jurisdiction, and some of them are currently using Fortinet. Fortinet has proven to be competitive with high service levels, aggressive market strategies, and cost-effectiveness, and in comparison to Aruba Fortinet excels. Additionally, Fortinet's integrated firewall serves as a controller, eliminating the need for a separate controller, which enhances investment and management efficiency. While both Aruba and Fortinet deliver strong performance and functionality, Fortinet stands out in terms of cost savings and simplified management. How was the initial setup? The installation and deployment of Aruba Access Points are straightforward The process, from mounting to configuring the access point to the controller, is simple and takes only a few minutes. However, a drawback is highlighted regarding ClearPass, particularly for the captive portal feature called GuestFire. The complexity arises due to ClearPass being a separate solution with additional licensing costs, especially in Egypt, where prices have increased. This has made the solution comparatively expensive, making companies consider alternative options in the market for captive portal functionalities in Wi-Fi, such as VMware. What about the implementation team? It can be accomplished by a single person. What was our ROI? The implementation of Aruba Access Points in the previous company showed a positive impact with the return on investment (ROI) achieved within three to five years. The calculation of ROI considered improvements in communication, internet access, and Wi-Fi services, contributing to the overall success of the implementation. While it may be challenging to precisely calculate ROI for certain aspects like service level improvements, the tangible benefits, and cost savings were realized within the calculated timeframe. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost of Aruba Access Points has been on the rise, which may be due to market dynamics or regional factors, such as in Egypt. Additionally, the availability of Aruba products is a concern, with a lead time of approximately twelve months. This prolonged waiting period and a lack of responsiveness from HP, the parent company of Aruba, have led to the cancellation of some orders. The supply chain for Aruba appears to face challenges, impacting product delivery timelines. What other advice do I have? The key advice is for Aruba to avoid the adamant behavior of acting as the king of market. It is extremely easy to lose relevance due to a lack of market awareness and adaptation. Aruba should continually update itself, stay attuned to customer feedback, and remain vigilant about market trends. The company needs to be proactive in crafting solutions that align with customer preferences and needs. The representatives and resellers in each country should not merely be resources but active contributors, engaging with customers and staying smart in addressing market demands. In essence, the message to Aruba is to stay dynamic, responsive, and customer-focused to avoid becoming obsolete in a rapidly evolving market. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product is scalable and manageable, but it lacks advanced features that the competitors provide What is our primary use case? We are using the solution for endpoint connectivity. What is most valuable? The manageability of both on-premise and cloud versions is valuable. What needs improvement? The licensing models lack clarity. Salespeople from Aruba were not able to explain it to me. Different people gave me different opinions. I can see the total bandwidth, but I cannot see the internal bandwidth. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for the last six months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is good. I do not find any issues with it. I rate the stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The tool has very good scalability. I rate the scalability a ten out of ten. The number of users depends upon the location. Some locations have 200 access points, while others have 50. The solution is used 24/7. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We also use Meraki. I can control the bandwidth with Meraki, but I can’t do it with Aruba. The choice of the product depends on the existing configurations and requirements. Meraki has advanced features. How was the initial setup? I rate the ease of setup a seven to eight out of ten. What about the implementation team? The deployment was done with the help of vendors. What was our ROI? The TCO is good. The product works well. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I do not understand the difference between Foundation licenses and Advanced licenses. Aruba is neither cheap nor expensive. The tool is priced the same as its competitors. What other advice do I have? I was told I'd receive immediate support if I had an advanced license. Overall, I rate the solution a seven to eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offers good documentation and is easy to manage What is our primary use case? I use Aruba Access Points since we need access points in my office. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature of the solution stems from its pricing model. What needs improvement? The product's prices are an area of concern. The product should be available at a lower price point. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for four years. I am a customer of Aruba. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It has been a stable solution since its installation. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Around 20 people in my company use the product. I have no plans to increase the use of the product in my company. How are customer service and support? Though I don't ask the product support team many questions, I feel that the technical team is good. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I have experience with Cisco. I started to use Aruba Access Points because of its pricing model. How was the initial setup? The product's setup phase was easy. The solution can be deployed in two or three hours. What about the implementation team? I installed the product myself in my company. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? My company needs to pay around 50,000 JPY to 1,00,000 JPY towards the licensing costs of the product on a monthly basis. Additional payments are to be made towards the maintenance and support costs of the product. My company has purchased bundled support from Aruba. What other advice do I have? My company uses the product for personal computer network connection, so we don't care about network performance. I don't use the integration capabilities of Aruba Access Points. The product is easy to manage. The product enhances my company's operational efficiency in a good manner. I recommend the product to others who plan to use it because it is easy to set up and integrate with multiple access points. The product's documentation is enough for new users. The product is promoted enough in my region, meaning it has a proper marketing strategy in place. I have not tried to integrate Aruba with third-party solutions. I rate the overall tool a ten out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most of our clients prefer this solution to others What is our primary use case? Aruba is a very popular brand, running from Access, and they have very competitive pricing. When compared to Cisco, they have a very good range. Most of the clients also prefer Aruba in India. It's the working environment. What is most valuable? The interest funds are valuable. What needs improvement? The pricing can be improved. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for a year and a half. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. We have ten users. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward. What other advice do I have? Rated 5 out of 5 by from An economical and easy-to-deploy solution that can be used for wireless connection What is our primary use case? We use Aruba Access Points mainly for wireless connection. What is most valuable? Aruba Access Points is an economical solution. What needs improvement? The solution's technical support and the quality of the new releases need to be improved because we have seen a lot of bugs in the solution's new releases. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with Aruba Access Points for more than five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is a stable solution for the short term. However, it is not stable in the long term. For example, it won't be stable in an environment where the Wi-Fi needs to be up 24/7 and 365 days. If I turn on my access points today, I will not face any issues for the next six or seven months. However, after eight to nine months, or after one year, I'll start facing a lot of issues directly connected to what we call maximum tolerable uptime. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution's scalability is good. We have one of the largest Wi-Fi infrastructures in terms of the number of access points, and we have never faced any limitations or issues related to capacity or scalability. I rate Aruba Access Points an eight or nine out of ten for scalability. How are customer service and support? The solution's technical support team can fix minor issues. However, when it comes to resolving complicated or complex issues, they either lack expertise, are not routing it through the proper channel, or are not engaging the right people. We are yet to receive solutions for the complex and unique problems we highlighted to them around two years ago. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Cisco has an edge over Aruba in terms of stability and support. What was our ROI? We are getting the expected return on investment with Aruba Access Points. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Although not cheap, Aruba Access Points is a reasonably priced solution. What other advice do I have? Users should insist on checking the SLAs in an environment where they need to run the solution 24/7 and 365 days without any break, planned maintenance window, or outage window. They should insist on defining strict SLAs right at the beginning of the project for support and resolution. We call it response time and resolution in terms of SLA. The solution is scalable, easy to deploy, and easy to maintain. Overall, I rate Aruba Access Points an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An easy-to-use solution that can be used to implement Wi-Fi solution for manufacturing What is most valuable? Aruba Access Points is an easy-to-use solution. We use Aruba Access Points to implement the Aruba Wi-Fi solution for manufacturing. What needs improvement? The solution's lead time is very slow and should be improved. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate Aruba Access Points an eight out of ten for stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is a scalable solution. Two clients are using Aruba Access Points. How are customer service and support? The solution’s technical support is good. What was our ROI? We have seen a return on investment with Aruba Access Points. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Users have to pay a licensing fee for Aruba Access Points, which could be cheaper. What other advice do I have? We raised a PO to the Aruba agent and installed the device for our customer. Two technical staff and one manager are needed to deploy and maintain the solution. I would recommend Aruba Access Points to other users. Overall, I rate Aruba Access Points ten out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Partner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An easy-to-scale product that barely requires any maintenance What is our primary use case? We use Aruba access points for wireless connectivity, like connecting 30 to 40 users' laptops to the office Internet through WiFi access points. How has it helped my organization? Model 556 is a very stable and good product for users to access the Internet without any interference and disturbance while getting good speed. WiFi technologies are growing day by day. Where we had 2.4GHz and 5GHz earlier, OEMs now give devices that support 6GHz. What is most valuable? Aruba access points protect connectivity, and we don't get interference. The hardware is a throughput point and handles the required number of users. The product's capacity is proper, and we are not facing any challenges. What needs improvement? These days, every OEM gives services on their cloud. We want to move the wireless controller to our cloud. If a company has multiple offices in multiple locations, we need to direct connectivity without depending on any other location. Going with a cloud solution will make dependency no longer a challenge from a connectivity point of view. If you move an account, you get the freedom. You're not dependent on any other locations selling the same product. For how long have I used the solution? I've worked with Aruba Access Points for approximately ten years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate Aruba access points' stability an eight out of ten. We've been using the product for a long time, and it is a very stable product. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? If you go with the cloud version, it's a good endpoint for user scalability. In-house you'll need to upgrade or change the hardware if the number of users or company size grows. I rate the scalability an eight out of ten. Approximately 500 users are using Aruba access points 24/7. How was the initial setup? I rate the initial setup an eight out of ten because the deployment is easy. The deployment was a physical deployment that involved cabling parts, physically mounting the product on walls, and installing the AP on a roof. If you set up the product in an office, it will take one to two days. While we needed one man to deploy the solution, we needed three or four people to handle the physical cabling and mounting. One person is sufficient for maintenance. What about the implementation team? We implemented the product in-house. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I rate the pricing a six out of ten because it's not cheap or expensive. What other advice do I have? Someone considering using Aruba access points' cloud solution can choose it with WiFi 6 connected. As for the on-prem version, it depends on their requirements. If it's not a large setup, without many APs, they can choose the in-house solution. I rate Aruba access points an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Though an expensive tool, it has a huge market share in the Middle Eastern region What needs improvement? There are problems with Aruba Access Points, and Aruba PoE switches since they are tools that are connected to Aruba Switches. If the port is damaged, then Aruba Access Points don't work properly. Similarly, if Aruba Switches are damaged, then Aruba Access Points don't work properly. The problems in Aruba Switches are reflected in Aruba Access Points. With Aruba Switches, if a port is damaged, not working very well, or if there is a problem with electricity or power output, then Aruba Access Points don't work well. If Aruba can include the Arabic language and have a team that conducts surveys with its uses in the Arabic language, then it would be good. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Aruba Access Points for nine to ten years. I use Aruba AP-205. My company also has experience with one of the models meant for businesses, known as Aruba AP-215 Access Point with a controller, as it is not safe to just use the standard tool. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? There are around 200 users of the product in my company. All the people in my company use Wi-Fi and not cable connections. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product is expensive if you want it to have a long life. The first time a person uses the product, it comes across as a very expensive product. After five to nine years of using the product, I have seen that it doesn't work very well. With the use of the solution, I have seen that in my company, we are not able to use the controller for the tool. My company can't connect with another site using the tool. Which other solutions did I evaluate? In the future, for our company to use a solution other than Aruba Access Points, we may have to change our infrastructure by starting with the core switches and other switches in our environment. My company plans to replace Aruba Access Points with Cisco. Cisco is a very compatible solution to use. What other advice do I have? Aruba Switches work if some ports work or don't work, but Aruba Access Points don't work at all if a port is damaged. Aruba products are good. The Middle Eastern marketplace is one of the biggest markets where Aruba products are preferred. I rate Aruba Access Points a five out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product good for medium and large enterprises thanks to its helpful AI Insights feature What is our primary use case? The solution is used for medium to high-enterprise businesses and the government sector. What is most valuable? I find AI Insights valuable. What needs improvement? The product should improve its integration and the grouping of the features and functions. For how long have I used the solution? I've worked with Aruba access points for about five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product's stability is great. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I rate the scalability eight to nine out of ten. We have more than 10,000 users using Aruba access points. We plan to increase the number. How are customer service and support? We still have one case running about Aruba 203, the microbranch. The issue is about the uplink. We couldn't do a file transfer. Last time, we needed to migrate through the OSM. We cannot change the uplink to traffic. Their last answer was that they would upgrade the platform, Aruba Central, sometime by the end of this year. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy. It's faster with the RS10 than the RS8. But it can still be improved. It took about ten to 25 minutes to deploy from onboarding to the stable installation. When deploying the solution, we configure and test all the devices before deploying them at the customer's side, where the solution should then be plug and play. Then, there is further testing, such as the users and the bandwidth. What about the implementation team? We need 11 staff members to deploy the product. They are the delivery team, and their main jobs are to do the configuration, the assessment, and the deployment. What was our ROI? From a return-on-investment point of view, the solution is worth it. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We have to pay for a license for Aruba Central, the platform for Aruba access points. It is an annual license. The price compared to other brands is slightly higher. What other advice do I have? In our company, we are using a number of products from Aruba, such as access points, Gateways, switches and so on. I rate Aruba access points eight to nine out of ten. The solution has great features, and we are exploring IPS and IDS. Some companies have already begun asking about those features. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offers good visibility but pricing is expensive What is our primary use case? We use Aruba Access Points in our office environment. What is most valuable? The solution gives good visibility into access points. What needs improvement? I am not able to integrate Aruba Access Points in Azure AD. It is also quite expensive. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the product for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Some users have reported low latency but I am not sure if it is because of the solution. I would rate the product a seven out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have 700-800 users for the product. What other advice do I have? I would rate the product an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A stable tool to support IoT network architecture What is our primary use case? I use Aruba Access Points in my company to support IoT network architecture. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature of the solution is its stability. What needs improvement? The disadvantage of Aruba Access Points is experienced by me when I need it to offer me a long range of coverage. When it comes to some devices, where maximum users connect with Aruba Access Points, the range of coverage area it provides is reduced. When a large number of users join Aruba Access Point, they are provided with a very small range of coverage. The aforementioned aspect related to the product is an area where improvements are required. In the future, I want Aruba Access Points to provide more scalability options. The scalability part of the solution comes into the picture, especially when considering the product's performance issues. More scalability options are required in the solution, especially during times when my company needs to switch users or shift them to some other area. From an improvement perspective, Aruba's technical support team should consider providing a faster response to the queries raised by users. Training for users related to Aruba's upcoming firmware releases should be provided. Aruba Central is a good product, and users need similar capabilities in Aruba Switches and Aruba Access Points at a very low price point. Aruba provides its users with a lifetime hardware replacement, and I want the same thing in Aruba Central, wherein users get lifetime product support and switches. In short, Aruba should make it possible for users to incur a one-time cost for Aruba Central. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points since 2017. I am an end-user of the product. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is a scalable product. My company has 55 end users of the product. How are customer service and support? The support provided by the technical team of Aruba Access Points is neither good nor bad, meaning it lies somewhere in the middle. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I use Cisco and Aruba in my company. I have been using Cisco since 2008. I would describe Cisco and Aruba as products that are very similar to each other. How was the initial setup? The product's initial setup phase was easy. The solution is deployed on the cloud. The solution can be deployed in less than 30 minutes. What about the implementation team? I can take care of the product's deployment phase by myself. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Aruba is cheaper than Cisco. My company needs to pay yearly for the licensing costs attached to the product. There are no additional payments towards the solution apart from its licensing costs. What other advice do I have? Currently, there is no maintenance required for the solution. I recommend the solution to those who plan to use it. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides secure and transparent access points for all users, and our company experiences excellent coverage across the premises What is our primary use case? The solution is used in our offices, and we are a state department in our country's education ministry. What is most valuable? Aruba Access Points provides secure and transparent access points for all users, and our company experiences excellent coverage across the premises. Our organization is content with the solution's ability to provide visibility into our company's infrastructure. What needs improvement? Our company has encountered a few issues with the product versions, firmware and the APs, but it was solved later on. Presently our company wants to integrate Aruba Access Points with ClearPass, which we need to purchase separately. The solution should provide features to integrate audio and video devices in presentation rooms, for example, TV sets and audio sets. Our company team has faced a few challenges with guest authentication; sometimes, the guests don't receive the feedback or password in their email at all or on time while using Aruba Access Points, and we need to manually intervene to identify the issue. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for three months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is highly stable, and our company hasn't faced any issues. I would rate the stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten. The tool exhibits outstanding scalability. There are more than 200 users of Aruba Access Points in our company. For now, our company has its premises covered and we believe our existing infrastructure will be stable for the next two years, thus we are not planning to increase the usage of Aruba Access Points. How are customer service and support? I would rate the tech support a ten out of ten. The solution offers excellent tech support. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? In the past, I have used other solutions from Cisco and Fortinet. Our company chose Aruba Access Points because of the internal public agenda, and the solution was the most suitable for the company's needs. How was the initial setup? I would rate the initial setup a ten out of ten. Aruba Access Points can be setup effortlessly. The solution's deployment took a day for each site at our organization. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The tool is available in the market at a reasonable price. What other advice do I have? The solution through authentication has enhanced the security of our organization's network, but we still don't have endpoint management solutions such as XDR, which we hope to deploy. Our company is pleased with Aruba Access Points. It's extremely easy to manage Aruba Access Points. Our company uses the tool to monitor and deploy solutions. In our company, we haven't faced any integration issues with Aruba Access Points, we had also deployed the solution in integration with Aruba Switches, we installed a complete solution. I would advise others that Aruba Access Points is a reliable solution and it operates seamlessly with multiple interesting features. I would overall rate the product a ten out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a reliable product that is easy to scale thanks to its virtual controller What is our primary use case? We are using it in the office for the Wi-Fi network. We implemented the solution for our office in 2015, but in 2017, we implemented the solution for our warehouse. We have also implemented the solution in one of our branch offices. What is most valuable? Aruba's virtual controller is the most important feature. I also have TP-Link, Huawei, and D-Link access points, and normally those solutions have a controller, which is a separate software or hardware used to control all of these. But Aruba's virtual controller basically sits in one of the access points, and if that particular access point goes down, the controller automatically migrates to the next available access point. With this feature, I firstly don't need any additional hardware for a controller. Secondly, I don't need maintenance for it. A virtual controller that roams around from one device to another automatically makes life very easy for me. My access points are nearly ten years old, so though they now have 2.4 and 5 GHz options, features like the captive portal for the guest Wi-Fi, avoiding sticky clients between two Aruba devices, reduced authentication, and the ability to look at the IDS are all still very advanced. What needs improvement? When I implemented their access points, Aruba was a separate company, and customer support used to come directly from them. But recently, HP has taken over Aruba, and how we receive support has changed. If I am looking at a new solution from Aruba, I have to go via HP's process, which is not as good as Aruba's used to be. I understand HP has its own access point solution, though I do not know whether that is why Aruba is not given much preference. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with Aruba access points since 2015. What do I think about the stability of the solution? When I first bought my current units, their lifespan was five years, but I'm still using them happily. They came with a lifetime hardware warranty at the time, but I still have not been able to use that warranty because none of them have broken down, so I rate the stability of the product a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I rate the solution's scalability a nine out of ten. We have approximately 500 users. How are customer service and support? Tech support used to be very easy because I would just call or email them, and tech support would respond within an hour. It was very seamless. But now I have to go through HP and raise a different kind of support ticket, so I have to spend more time going through various layers of approval. The engineer might still be an Aruba engineer, but I have to go through the HP process first. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We implemented another solution from TP-Link two years ago, but their features are still ten years behind Aruba's. One of the features I use in Aruba is reduced authentication. I have reduced authentication assigned to my active directory. For that to work, I should have a controller set in my active directory. The active directory speaks to the controller, and the controller speaks to all the access points. It is a little different with TP-Link. Even though I have a separate controller, which is software that has to be installed on another machine, that feature does not work. I think it's called Omada Controller. I cannot set the controller because if I set it in my active directory, it cannot speak to all the access points. So I must set every access point with their IP addresses and names for the active directory to listen to. It is not a big deal if you have four or five access points. But you can't do that in a big company with something like 50 access points. It's ridiculous. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was very easy because it is out of the box, where you have to go "next, next, next" to give you the default setup. After that, you can go in and set what you want in detail, whether you want to set the clients or set whether it's visible/not visible, all those things. It had this feature as well, I still remember from 2015, where once you configure one access point, information can automatically be transferred to other access points, and they can be set up automatically. So if I have five access points running and buy a sixth one today, I don't need to do anything for that sixth device. I need to turn it on, and as soon as it connects to the same Wi-Fi network, it picks the settings from the other units and sets itself up. We do not require anyone to maintain the solution. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The price point in 2015 was really low compared to other enterprise-level access points, and I'm not talking about consumer access points like D-Link and TP-Link. I implemented seven access points in 2015 and only spent $6,000 for the whole project. Which other solutions did I evaluate? The only other devices I consider to be at the same level would be the access points from Meraki. Feature-wise and technical-wise, Aruba is really good. However, when it comes to support, which may be local to my market in Australia, I don't see Aruba being that easy to update or get support for, even when talking to HP or whomever the partners are. It is much easier to speak to tech support with Meraki and even Juniper Mist and access those devices. I would have downloaded information on them because I'm looking at a new product. I'm looking at three products, Aruba, Meraki, and Juniper Mist. Just like I downloaded information from your site, I looked at the websites of these three companies, and Juniper's guys immediately called me and even offered to send me two devices to test in my environment. They also told me they would do the site surveys for free if I gave them the plans for my new site. When it comes to features, scalability, or ease of use, I rate Aruba in the top three. But when looking at the technical part, we also need to look at how easy it is to get the devices or talk with the vendor. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reasonably priced while also being easy to deploy and manage What is our primary use case? I use the solution in my company, considering that I deal with retail customers. Nowadays, the tool is connected to a handheld scanner. The tool is mostly used for the scanner and price tag, and being connected to Wi-Fi helps update the price. What is most valuable? Aruba Access Points can configure the virtual controller to manage multiple IPs, so our company doesn't have to set up a physical controller to manage it. Yeah. The tool has virtual controller features. What needs improvement? The product fails to provide better and extended coverage, making it in an area where improvements are required in the tool. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. The new firmware is not always stable. Sometimes, Aruba releases new firmware, but they may have some issues. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. More than ten of our company's customers use Aruba Access Points. I think the tool has 1,000 users. How are customer service and support? The technical support for the solution has been good so far. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten. If I consider the response time of the support team, then I would rate it a seven out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? I use AP Wizard to help me with the deployment process. The deployment process is straightforward. The solution is deployed on the cloud and on an on-premises model. The solution can be deployed in fifteen minutes. One engineer is required to deploy the product. What was our ROI? The tool's ROI is quite good. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It is a reasonably priced tool. What other advice do I have? The solution improved IoT device connectivity and management in my company by providing a wide coverage. Some of the models of Aruba Access Points come with no antennas, and some models cannot operate in a minus degree environment, like for the products kept in the freezer, and I know this because my customer runs a supermarket. Mostly, Aruba Access Points cannot be installed in extreme environments. The performance of the product is okay. The product has simplified my company's network administration tasks because it has a centralized management feature, so through a single platform, the management team can manage multiple IPs. The product is easy to deploy and manage. The price is also reasonable. You can also get support for the product on time. I rate the tool a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A controller-based solution to maintain one controller from a single IP address What is our primary use case? We use the solution for official purposes. What is most valuable? Aruba is a controller-based solution. We have some multi-story buildings. We only need to maintain one controller, and we can manage it from a single IP address. What needs improvement? The solution’s updates and firmware are complicated to upgrade. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points as a customer for five to seven years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution’s scalability is good. 70-80 users are using this solution in our organization. How are customer service and support? The technical support is good, and there is no issue. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We have used Cisco and D-link. We chose Aruba since they provide a lifetime warranty with zero maintenance and can be managed easily. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy, and one person is enough to deploy within five hours. It's plug-and-play only. We can buy it on the access phone and install it on our network. It will automatically take an IP address, then we can use it. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product is costly and comes with a lifetime license. There is neither renewal nor subscription. It is a one-time solution. What other advice do I have? The solution is easy to maintain. We don't have any issues with the network. I recommend this solution if someone asks me what to choose. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from A scalable and easy-to-deploy solution that provides really good technical support. What is our primary use case? We use Aruba Access Points as a Wi-Fi access point for office users. The solution supports our Wi-Fi needs very well. You can connect several users and laptops to it. Also, the guest Wi-Fi access can be managed centrally by Aruba Central. What is most valuable? The solution's support, stability, scalability, and good redundancy features are beneficial for our network management. The solution supports all the authentication features available in the market. It also has a good dashboard and GUI. What needs improvement? The solution should be made more robust. Aruba can come up with more models or standards much earlier. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points for six years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is a stable solution. I rate the solution ten out of ten for stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is an easily scalable solution. You need to buy APs, take up the licenses, and add them. Around 4,000 users are using the solution extensively in our organization, and we have plans to increase the usage. I rate Aruba Access Points ten out of ten for scalability. How are customer service and support? The solution's technical support is very good. They are setting up a good standard in the industry. How was the initial setup? The solution’s initial setup is straightforward. What about the implementation team? We implemented the solution through an in-house team. The solution's deployment time depends on the offices. You can deploy the solution for a medium-sized data center in two or three days with the mounting. You need to mount all the APs and then connect them back to the central switch. You also need to add them to the Aruba Central API group that you have configured with the settings. It automatically takes a leader or the main access points. From there, it should be good to go. What was our ROI? The solution gives you a good Wi-Fi solution for all your endpoints, like laptops, robotic devices, and mobile devices. It also gives you guest access, which is restricted very well. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Users have to pay a yearly subscription for Aruba Access Points. The solution's pricing is nominal and not as costly as Cisco's. It's not cheap, but it is not too expensive either. On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten. What other advice do I have? We don't have a use case where the solution supports remote users. The solution does a good job for the mobile clients. The security aspect of Aruba Access Points has done a good job of protecting our network against threats. We can configure the guest Wi-Fi with their landing page portal as well. That's a pretty easy setup where we don't need to deploy anything in-house or locally or take a cloud subscription. Security-wise, the solution is good, and you get many features that can be implemented to safeguard your environment. Around 78 people, including managers and engineers, would be required to deploy and maintain the solution for 4,000 people in around 50 offices. I recommend Aruba Access Points to other users. The solution is scalable, easy to deploy, and provides really good technical support. The solution's failure rate is lower, and the redundancy works well. The solution's reliability is really good. The failover mechanism works well. The coverage is also good, so we don't need to worry much about its reliability. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Hybrid Cloud Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Positive How was the initial setup? The product’s initial setup process is easy if you have specific knowledge. If you use Aruba Central, enter the MAC address and serial number on Aruba Central. Port 443 should be open on the firewall. It is zero-touch provisioning. The AP will automatically be provisioned to Aruba Central. It takes around 10 - 15 minutes to provision. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The price is better when compared with the competitors. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Compared to Cisco, the product has a user-friendly interface. It is easy to configure as well. What other advice do I have? I advise others to analyze if the product is relevant for their production. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seamless integration with tools like ClearPass simplifies network management and enhances security What is our primary use case? We use them for internal or external wireless LAN, and indoor or outdoor access points. We have on-premises controllers, switches, access switches, installation switches, and core switches. The network is big. We have many projects, and this is a good product. What is most valuable? The integration with their other products, like ClearPass, and the security features they have. These are good features. What needs improvement? The ICT dynamic is important. Every other vendor is innovating with new features and ideas. They need to compete and implement these things to stay ahead. So, I would suggest Aruba continue to gain the competitive edge. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this product for 10+ years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. It is a stable product. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable product. It is easy to scale. I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten. It is okay. We have enterprise-level clients. How are customer service and support? The customer service and support are good. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I also have experience with ExtremeWireless (Extreme) and Ruckus. I have parallel experience with Cisco, HP, Aruba, and Huawei. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy. Our customers mostly opt for on-premises deployment. Customers aren't interested in cloud-based solutions because they need that on-premises control. The deployment depends on the client's site. For around ten access points and wireless controllers, it takes less than two days. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing is competitive. It is neither cheap nor expensive. It is moderate. It offers better price than Cisco and other competitors. What other advice do I have? Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offers good features in areas like power adapters and high-efficiency What is our primary use case? It is a tool that provides wireless Wi-Fi services in different locations, specifically in corporate locations. It has many features, such as power adapters and high efficiency. What needs improvement? The integration capabilities of the product with the tools from other vendors is an area of concern where improvements are required. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Aruba Access Points. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. The product can be used to provide service to around 50 users. How are customer service and support? The solution's technical support is very active. How was the initial setup? The product's initial setup phase is very easy due to Aruba Instant Mode. The solution can be deployed in less than five minutes. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product is cheap, in my opinion, since I don't have to buy a hardware controller with it. There is a need to pay the licensing charges for the product. If I consider the market prices, then I won't say it is an expensive tool, but I feel that it is a moderately priced tool that is available at a price higher than Cisco and Huawei. What other advice do I have? The tool can manage IoT devices like Aruba Meridian, which are mostly used in hospitals and airports. The high throughput and high efficiency offered by the product are its most powerful features. The product doesn't need a controller since it already has a virtual one. I don't need to apply a hardware controller to the product. In Aruba Access Points, there is a built-in virtual controller. In terms of the product's security features, I would say that it has all types of authentication, including enterprise authentication, which depends on AAA authentication. It can integrate with Aruba RADIUS server and ClearPass. The product can also integrate with an AAA server. The tool has interference protection, along with protection of Layer-1 and Layer-2 networking areas. The management software simplifies your network administration tasks as it is integrated with the TACACS+ Server. The product's privilege mode option can also be used. It has a basic feature, and it can be enabled when integrated with a mobility controller. The network traffic control is encrypted, which is a powerful security feature. The tool has all the features that are accessible in the mobility controller, and the same features exist in Aruba Instant APs. The AI-powered insight feature offered by the product is something that is too early to discuss right now. When starting with the networking part, it is good to go with Aruba. The portfolio offered by Aruba is good which consists of switches under Aruba Instant On. I rate the tool a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An easy-to-use, durable, and reliable solution that requires no maintenance What is most valuable? The product is quite accessible and reliable. It needs less or no maintenance. Once you install the solution, it keeps working. It needs very few upgrades. Aruba devices are quite reliable. We have found no defaults in the devices so far. The product is easy to use and easy to set up. Its durability is quite good. What needs improvement? The product should provide more coverage. The coverage provided should be equivalent to that of Cisco. It will be good if the product’s device provides coverage of at least 50 to 60 feet. The solution should increase security. The devices need to be more secure. Anyone who wants to hack or access the product can easily do it. The users do not receive any alerts if somebody is trying to access the tool. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for the last five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is quite good. It is excellent. We bought the devices two to three years ago, and they still work constantly without any failure. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution’s scalability must be improved. It should cover more number of people and area. I rate the scalability a seven out of ten. It will be great if scalability is increased a little more. How are customer service and support? We have not contacted support yet. If we have any problems, our local vendor is capable of supporting us. The product’s support would be great. If a local vendor can support us, then if I contact someone directly from Aruba, they would definitely be able to support us. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Aruba and Ruckus work similarly. Cisco is a bit advanced in terms of security and manageability. We manage Cisco access points through one particular console. If anything goes wrong, then we can identify it easily. Cisco products are a little better in manageability. We frequently receive updates, but we can manage them well in advance through the console. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is quite easy. It is not a problem at all. We need not do much. We need an expert to set up Cisco. Deploying Aruba and Ruckus is as easy as plug-and-play. What about the implementation team? The deployment doesn’t even take ten minutes. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing is reasonable. The product is also good. I would rate the pricing an eight or nine out of ten. For four devices, we pay around INR 30,000. We only pay for the license and the device. There are no additional costs associated with the tool. What other advice do I have? The solution is fairly good. Anyone can use it. I will recommend Aruba. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resolves roaming issues and has low latency What is most valuable? I like the solution because of its throughput and low latency. It has resolved roaming issues for my customers. What needs improvement? The delivery timeline is a major problem. There are also configuration and integration issues since not many engineers are available in the market who has expertise with the product. Some of our customers also experience network slowness. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with the product for nine years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Aruba Access Points is stable but has some minor issues. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is easy to scale. If customers roll out a project then they can add it immediately in a fraction of a second. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I also work with Dell but find Aruba Access Points to be better. Aruba is better in terms of technology and performance. How was the initial setup? The product's setup is not so easy since you cannot get many engineers in the market who can do the tool's installation. Developing an engineer is a costly affair for us. The time taken to complete the installation depends on the infrastructure. If the infrastructure is moderate then installation takes a week's time to complete. If it's a big campus, then installation can take one month. We require only four engineers if the area to deploy is 20,000 square feet. However, if the campus is big then we would need eight to ten engineers. Mounting the solution will take time but the rest of the things can be handled remotely. We would require one to two engineers to maintain the solution if the deployed area is 20,000 square feet. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The solution is expensive and licensing costs are yearly. Customers have to pay extra costs for service and subscription apart from the hardware cost. What other advice do I have? I would rate Aruba Access Points a nine out of ten. We work mostly with enterprise customers but we also have medium and small customers as well. Aruba Access Points’ most valuable features are network mobility and reliability for network access. What needs improvement? The platform’s speed for data flow could be better. There needs to be flexibility for installation and mounting access points. Additionally, the controller tool should work efficiently for troubleshooting purposes during maintenance. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using Aruba Access Points for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Sometimes, the power stability of PoE switches keeps rebooting continuously. It could be improved. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have more than 1000 Aruba Access Points users in our organization. It is a scalable product. How was the initial setup? The product’s installation process is easy. We use heat maps to find stability to access the network for high-flexibility areas. It takes an hour to complete the process. What about the implementation team? Sometimes, I take help from a third-party vendor for the implementation. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product's pricing could be better than Cisco. What other advice do I have? I recommend Aruba Access Points to others and rate it a five out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wireless network solution with sustainable pricing and excellent support What is our primary use case? We have an academic focus. We are a medical technology company—MedTech, specifically. All of our academic programs operate on the Aruba platform. In addition to our internal systems, all users, whether an enterprise or any other category, use Aruba wireless technology. How has it helped my organization? We have an open space with no disturbances. Aruba is the right product because additional costs may arise if you opt for alternatives. From a security standpoint, we have adopted it, and each part of the network is secure. Currently, it is comfortable for us. What is most valuable? We have additional security. We are using fabric technology for Extreme switches. What needs improvement? Since we manufacture medical devices, we must adhere to pharmaceutical guidelines. According to these guidelines, our rooms are categorized as 'head type' and thus require network connectivity. However, installing high-end APs in every room may not be feasible. Alternatives such as Cisco Meraki or Ruckus may be suitable for lower-end EPE or in areas where high-end APs aren't necessary. These brands offer smaller, in-system devices that can be installed to cover areas effectively. Installing one to two users per AP is acceptable for administrative purposes. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Access Points since 2010. How are customer service and support? Technical support is excellent. I need to email them since it is a mandatory requirement. Under the contract, we are entitled to support. First, we need to log a call. Then, within a four-hour timeframe, they will provide a set time for addressing and resolving the issue. We are satisfied with the support. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We have used Cisco since 2006. We were initially a small company. Now, we have a global presence in software, and every investment in software is connected to a central location via a controller. Everything works fine for remote installations. During 2010-2011, we considered opting for a better product. Therefore, we switched to Aruba Access Points. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product’s pricing is sustainable. What other advice do I have? Ethernet throughput is much better. From a security standpoint, it is good. We face a challenge in wireless connectivity, but we can resolve it by ensuring that every device, including routers, is configured correctly for wireless connectivity. We need to ensure these features are installed everywhere. Additionally, we should review the RRP and other performance metrics for further improvement. Aruba is easy to manage. UI is good. Endpoints present a bottleneck. We need to be concerned about the AP. We need to insert it into my network and ensure it is updated. Regarding policy enforcement, we may only need to control the controller. From an operational and maintenance standpoint, we require local support from OEMs. Whether a sensor is connected to a switch or not, it's a one-time setup. We have a mobility controller for centralized management, and the compression provides a really good experience. Aruba Access points easily integrate with existing network infrastructure. I recommend the solution. In India, we're operating on the 5 Ghz band. Additionally, we're looking to use the 6 GHz band as part of a trial bundle. We're confident in our ability to support 2.5 and 5 gigahertz frequencies, but we're closely monitoring the situation. We are a robot manufacturing company whose operations rely on the six gigahertz spectrum. While the Indian government hasn't yet opened up the 6 GHz band, it may change within the next two to three months. Overall, I rate the solution a 9 out of 10. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A scalable and affordable product that helps find issues in devices and provides good technical support What is our primary use case? We use the tool for our devices. We use it for laptops, wireless phones, and tablets. What is most valuable? The product helps find issues in devices. What needs improvement? The stability must be improved. Sometimes, the user gets disconnected from the network. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The tool’s stability is good. I rate the stability a seven out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The tool is scalable. I rate the scalability a nine out of ten. We have 300 users. It is not extensively used. How are customer service and support? The technical support is perfect. How was the initial setup? The setup takes a long time. We took three months to complete the setup. The deployment process is the same as Cisco’s. What about the implementation team? We used consultants to deploy the solution. We had an issue with the access ID for the captive portal. The engineers couldn’t solve it at that time. It took too long. We used a pre-shared key. We needed three engineers and technicians for the deployment. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product is cheaper than Cisco and Huawei. We pay a yearly license fee. What other advice do I have? I will not recommend the tool to others. I wouldn’t want people to go through the issues I went through. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly secure, provides good features, and integrates well with other networking solutions What is our primary use case? Our customers use the tool in company environments. Only a few private clients who have the funds to afford it use the equipment. Normally, a private user wouldn’t have the funds to do it. What is most valuable? The product has high stability. The Adaptive Radio Management feature is quite good. Aruba’s differentiating factor is the shape of the access point and how it is integrated into the architecture. The security is quite high. I rate the security nine to ten out of ten. If we have a change request as a partner, we have channels to position our change request. We have to integrate the product with other networking solutions. It works very well. We have no issues with integration. What needs improvement? The price could be a bit lower. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution since 2004. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the tool’s stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have huge amounts of clients. We take care of the remote access of the head offices and their smaller outlets. I rate the tool’s scalability a ten out of ten. Aruba provides Aruba Instant On and a professional version. Aruba Instant On is competitive with Ubiquiti or any household brand. It is for very small outlets. It is very limited in its management. We do not sell it. We only sell big solutions. How are customer service and support? The support persons respond quickly. They are very efficient. Sometimes, it takes a bit longer. However, they are hands-on 90% of the time. The quality of support is good. The people are knowledgeable. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is very simple. It becomes complicated later. The configuration is complex. The solution is sometimes cloud-based and sometimes deployed in a hybrid environment. It depends on the clients. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost is quite high. Just like Cisco, it is quite high. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Technically, Ruckus, Cisco, and Aruba are almost similar. There are minor differences. The only thing that Aruba has, but the others don’t, is Adaptive Radio Management. All are high-quality products. The performance depends on the rollout and what the client expects. It depends on the architecture. Ruckus is not as shiny as Aruba. Ruckus is more on a carrier level. We have a few carrier customers that use Ruckus. The majority of industrial customers use Aruba. What other advice do I have? I am an integrator. We use AirWave with Aruba. For Cisco and Ruckus, we use the individual platforms that are available for them. There are no technical issues with the tool. Pricing is the only issue. I will recommend the solution to others. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten. Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Integrator
