Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improves connectivity management through virtual control and radio management What is our primary use case? Our primary use case is managing switches and access points, particularly for wireless connectivity with both instant access points and cloud-controlled access points. How has it helped my organization? Aruba Instant On Access Points have improved our organization as we don't have to handle as many problems with these access points compared to FortiAP or Cisco access points. What is most valuable? The virtual controller feature is very beneficial because it removes the need for a physical controller. Additionally, advanced radio management is a valuable feature. What needs improvement? The security aspect needs improvement. There is not enough focus on security across networking vendors, and they often add features without testing them thoroughly. The AI capabilities are generalized and not significantly helpful. The technical support is also not very strong as they have faced similar issues as before. How are customer service and support? The technical support from Aruba is a bit more competent compared to Fortinet. However, there are still issues with the language barrier and the overall quality of support. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We used Cisco access points before. We found Aruba Instant On Access Points to be better. Aruba's products are actually cheaper and feature advanced radio management, which works very well. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing of Aruba Instant On Access Points is competitive compared to Cisco, and they are actually cheaper. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We evaluated solutions from Aruba and Fortinet. Currently, we are looking at Aruba and Keyao products. What other advice do I have? I would recommend Aruba Instant On Access Points to others. If I had to choose, I would rate them as number one out of all access points. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily deployed with RADIUS and dot1x, for providing efficient enterprise-class security What is our primary use case? Aruba Instant On Access Points are primarily used for small offices, private houses, or apartments. The ease of installation and deployment is valuable. The user-friendly interface allows you to manage the equipment easily via smartphone, laptop, or tablet, and you can access it instantly over the internet. What is most valuable? Aruba Instant On Access Points are almost enterprise-level equipment but designed for end users who might not have an IT specialist on staff. They can be used in scenarios similar to those in enterprises. The security features, like easily deploying with RADIUS and dot1x, are efficient and satisfactory, providing enterprise-class security. The solution is future-proof and adapts well to changing connectivity needs. It is easy to extend the network, although there are some limitations. For large buildings, you can separate the network into floors or areas, each containing up to fifty access points, and give them one SSID and password. There might be a small gap when switching between sites, but overall, it can be extended effectively. What needs improvement? It would be good to integrate some marketing features into Aruba Instant On Access Points, like heat maps. This would allow deployment in warehouses or malls to see how people move from one point to another, helping to locate the original fit. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Aruba Instant On Access Points. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We haven't had many performance or stability issues, but with the AP17, which is an outdoor access point, it has only available channels above one hundred. In Ukraine, almost all channels are available to use from thirty-six to one hundred fifty-eight. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Scalability issue arises with obsolete equipment using five gigahertz but lower channels like thirty-six or forty, as they cannot connect to the access point because it turns on channels above one hundred. How are customer service and support? The technical support for Aruba Instant On Access Points answers quite fast, approximately within five to six hours, considering the time difference. I think that's great time management since not everyone can answer within that timeframe. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Apart from Aruba, I've also worked with Ruckus. The main pro of Ruckus is its better performance of beamforming, as it has more antenna patterns than Aruba, Cisco, or any other vendors. For Aruba Instant On Access Points, the pros are stable work, stable performance, and high predictability. When using tools like radio frequency planners such as Ekahau and AirMagnet, you can see a good pattern on your screen, which makes it easy to predict signal transmission. This level of predictability is not as strong with Ruckus. How was the initial setup? The initial setup process for Aruba Instant On Access Points is quite easy as you just scan the barcode of the access point, and it’s already on your portal, so you can manage the SSID. It's very easy, and one person is enough to do the full deployment. Maintenance is also not difficult as it has a very user-friendly interface. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Aruba Instant On Access Points are license-free. It's a very good and cheap solution for wireless networks. It can be compared with solutions from Ubiquiti and TP-Link, but it is in a different class. Aruba Instant On Access Points are cheaper than those from Cisco, Ruckus, and Motorola. It's perhaps the cheapest one. They do not use licenses, so it is a solution from the box. You don't need to pay extra money or deal with hidden payments. What other advice do I have? I strongly recommend it because it is not expensive, quite robust, and provides a network for a very low price. It can be deployed very fast and contains every single need. I rate Aruba Instant On Access Points a nine out of ten because there are some flaws with outdoor access points. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplifies the network configuration with dynamic segmentation and role-based access What is our primary use case? We use it for office use on laptops, mobile devices, meeting rooms, etc. How has it helped my organization? Dynamic segmentation and role-based access have simplified the network configuration we have to do whenever a new device comes in. We don't have to change any settings to add new people or devices to the system. What is most valuable? The valuable feature is deep monitoring with the management tools. Configuring everything in the cloud with Aruba Central and having all the devices be independent of a centralized controller has made it simple to deploy. What needs improvement? The pricing could be a little cheaper. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for six years. We are V15 of the solution. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We've had almost no issues. The only devices that have been damaged were those used outdoors during hurricane season. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is moderately difficult to find certified engineers. They're not widely available. How are customer service and support? Support is good but could be a little better. Whenever there are technical questions, it takes them a while to answer. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We used to have Ruckus Wireless, but we switched to Aruba because of its advanced features and solutions' scalability. How was the initial setup? It's really easy to set up. Aruba provides and hosts it. The access points are in our offices, but the management solution is a service. It took probably a couple of days to deploy. We designed the network beforehand, purchased the devices, did the cabling and switching, had Internet installed in the building, and then deployed the Wi-Fi access points. Two implementation engineers helped deploy it. One person now performs remote maintenance for all our sites. I rate the initial setup a ten out of ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy. What was our ROI? We have had very few issues. Whenever we've had an issue, we can see what the problem is and fix it quickly. We have also reduced the amount of time and people that we have dedicated to managing the network. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We pay 150 dollars per access point every year. I rate the product’s pricing an eight out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We considered several vendors, including Huawei, Ruckus, other HPE brands, and 3Com, but ultimately decided on Aruba. What other advice do I have? They have allowed us to segment the different parts of the organization so that they have only the permissions they should have to access what they need and nothing else. And that has made our servers and infrastructure more secure because only authorized people can access them. There is an opportunity to enter lower SMB segments where Erbway has other products. But it wouldn't be for Ergo Instant. It would be for another line of products from them. I advise you to get it with Aruba Central. It makes it easier to manage and much simpler. You can monitor it from anywhere. And be sure to have someone who knows Server Central help you set it up. It's good for almost every business access to very large campuses. There is a dashboard where we can see AI recommendations on potential issues or performance improvements if we change part of the configuration, which has helped us improve network performance or stability over time. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable and offers an easy setup phase What is our primary use case? The first step I normally use to install my network devices, in this case, Aruba Instant On Access Points, is to upgrade them to the best available. The second one is the configuration of the network IT management. The VLAN and mining areas ensure it is steady, and then I do some tests, and finally, I do the implementation. In my company, we use Aruba Instant On Access Points with one or two other switches. The first tool I am implementing in the Mexico region is HPE Aruba Networking CX 6100 Switch Series. How has it helped my organization? The performance of the tool is the same as all other solutions. The difference between other tools and Aruba Instant On Access Points revolves around the costs. We don't have some differences between other tools and Aruba Instant On Access Points since our operation unit is not demanding. What needs improvement? I don't see much of a difference between Aruba and Cisco. With Aruba, the documentation on the website is not too easy to use, and some information is not found. I have to say that Cisco is very good in the documentation and the support offered to users, making it much better than Aruba. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Aruba Instant On Access Points. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? At the moment, the scalability is enough. We have some plans to increase its usage. We are growing, and we have to implement more more devices. We are in the process of migration. We have a lot of devices from Cisco, and we have to shift to Aruba. We are looking for new business units, and in those places, we will implement all the infrastructure with Aruba. In the Mexico region, it is around 1015, and in the USA, there are around 300 people. How are customer service and support? The solution's technical support is too slow. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I was working on the on-premises solutions, like IronNet, Aironet, and some other tools from Cisco, but not with Meraki. The last Aironet model that we have here in Mexico, in the corporate office, and in some of the other regions of Mexico is Cisco Aironet 3700 and Cisco Aironet 3800, so it is just two or three devices. Aruba Instant On Access Points was working with Aruba 2540 and Cisco 3850 In Cisco, I found some issues. I was working well with a vendor. I was working with Cisco Catalyst 9200 and Cisco Catalyst 9300, along with Cisco Catalyst 2916M XL Switch. With all devices, we got a report. During the immigration, we choose another vendor, which Aruba. We have some issues with Aruba Instant On Access Points in iOS that are targeting the devices, and I have seen some problems with the DHCP solution. How was the initial setup? The product's initial setup phase is too easy. Speaking about the strategies required for the deployment of the solution, I would say that the tool is used for some of the internal processes in our company. I do some of the designing of the solution, do a test and then work with the design I created. I then do the implementation, but in the current scenario, for the internal process in the company, the implementation is mostly done by the vendors. The solution is deployed on an on-premises model. The solution can be deployed in 20 minutes. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The product's price falls on the cheaper end of the spectrum. The price of the product is one of the biggest benefits that it offers. What other advice do I have? In the enterprise, we are migrating to Aruba's vendor from Cisco. At the moment, we are migrating all the devices and network technology to Aruba in Germany. I am using the product in some places. I currently use two technology since we are in the process of migration in our company. We use products from Cisco and Aruba. The model of the device we use is for a warehouse. Currently, we use Aruba AP-565 Outdoor Access Points. The product's maintenance part is okay. It doesn't need many resources. The implementation part of the product is too easy. The upgrades to the product are easy to manage. Two weeks ago, I saw some global-level upgrades to the product theory in our company, which were applicable to South Africa, Mexico, Italy, the USA, and all over the world where Aruba Instant On Access Points are used. I did not see any issues during the upgrade process. I rate the tool a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has a simple deployment phase and can be easily managed by users What is most valuable? The solution's most valuable features include a simple deployment phase, easy management, and scalability. The scalability of access points is perfect. What needs improvement? I want the product to be made available at a cheaper price point. My company's customers look for the price before purchasing the solution. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for five years. My company has a partnership with Aruba. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten. My company deals with around 100 customers of the product. How are customer service and support? The product offers very fast support, which is provided by skilled engineers. How was the initial setup? After one access point gets deployed, the other access points can be pushed by getting the config part from the first access point that was deployed. Only one default access point after which I don't deploy any other access points work since I just need to connect to a network, after which the config part from the initial access point can be used to deploy the other access points. The solution can be deployed in five minutes. I recommend the product to those who plan to use it because it is easy to deploy and has good scalability features. What was our ROI? In terms of ROI, the product offers stability, reliability, good work equipment, an easy deployment process, and the best scalability features and support. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? There is a need to make yearly payments towards the standard licensing charges associated with the product. There are some additional costs associated with the product since I have seen customers who purchase three-year or five-year plans. What other advice do I have? The solution helped simplify our company's wi-fi network setup and management, specifically for small and big enterprise-sized businesses. The guest access feature impacted our company's business and customer satisfaction. The tool has a good guess portal, and it is easy to configure. I have not used the tool's mobile app. I rate the solution a ten out of ten. Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Partner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improves the overall wireless connection experience, easy to install and manage What is our primary use case? We have a lot of examples of use cases, but the greatest project is with the Sao Paulo government and the Brazilian government. It’s the biggest project using this kind. What is most valuable? It's easy to manage and install. For the customer, it improves connectivity, the wireless experience, and speed. It improves the overall wireless connection experience. What needs improvement? The radio frequency coverage area is not good. The number of users that can connect at the same time and the user density on a single AP is not good in Aruba. Also, Aruba has a lot of switch solutions, and they use a lot of CLI (Command-Line Interface) language. One type of switch might use one language, while another might use an older language. Even within the same product line, you have different languages. It's not easy to manage everything because even though all the products are within the same system, everything is different. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with it for two years. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability with Aruba Central, we have a limited capacity. Instant On is very limited. There's a limit of 2,000 users and 120 APs in the same cluster. This is very difficult. I don't know how to resolve this. I think the only way is to change to a cloud solution. How are customer service and support? The customer service and support are terrible. The global technical support is really bad. It's not good. How would you rate customer service and support? Negative How was the initial setup? From the partner's perspective, it's easy to install and manage. It's a good solution, a good technology to improve the partner's experience. It takes three minutes to set it up and deploy it from start to finish. It is pretty easy. The deployment model can be both on-premises and cloud. We use Aruba Central in the cloud, and also Instant On app. The most difficult is when they use the Mobility Controller, the on-premises controller solution from Aruba. The maintenance is easy. What was our ROI? The return of investment lies in the good experience of the customer. The best way to justify the expensive cost is the good wireless connection experience. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Instant On Access Points are expensive. Compared to other solutions like Ubiquiti and Extreme, they're very expensive. What other advice do I have? Overall, I would rate it a nine out of ten. So the product is pretty good, but the technical support is terrible. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable roaming and connectivity with room for more global flexibility What is our primary use case? I am responsible for meeting customer expectations with the most appropriate IT solutions. I provide equipment recommendations based on customer needs and availability. Additionally, I have worked with Aruba access points, among other equipment. How has it helped my organization? My role involves distinguishing the best products for customer requirements, considering cost and power consumption. Aruba is reliable, which aids in meeting customer needs effectively. What is most valuable? The roaming feature and connectivity during disconnections are valuable. The antenna system and dual frequencies (2.4GHz and 5GHz) are key, as well as the concurrent handling capability and power consumption efficiency. What needs improvement? I cannot provide concrete areas that need improvement on a global scale since my experience is local. However, Aruba is leading in flexibility compared to Cisco and other competitors. For how long have I used the solution? I have worked in this role for nearly 12 years. I engage with Aruba technologies as part of the solutions I provide. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Stability largely depends on how access points are installed and managed. While Aruba cannot entirely ensure connection reliability, the deployment approach can minimize wireless link downtime. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Aruba is a reliable product worldwide, and its scalability is rated between eight to nine out of ten. How are customer service and support? Technical support is rated around seven to eight out of ten. I haven't experienced issues getting the required support when needed. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I have worked with Access and Cisco, among other technologies. There is no explicit mention of why a switch occurred. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward if the appropriate technology understanding is present. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Costs are proportional to your requirements. Discounts may be discussed with the distributor. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Brocade Ethernet switches, Huawei, and Juniper are mentioned, however, there is no indication that they were evaluated. What other advice do I have? Providing proper support and having an AMC for replacement and support ensure customer satisfaction. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable management , easy to set up, and good performance What is our primary use case? In general, we have a good experience with Unifi switches in our conference rooms. However, we have faced several issues in the last year. We tried changing the cabling, switch, and power injector, but the problems persisted. We also use Unifi in hotels and conference rooms, but only one conference room uses Aruba due to its larger size. How has it helped my organization? Initially, Unifi switches provided a very good experience with ease of management using both the Unifi Controller and my cell phone. What is most valuable? The most valuable aspect of Unifi switches is the Unifi Controller. It makes management very easy, and it's also easy to purchase Unifi products in Argentina. Unifi is a great option for small businesses. What needs improvement? The performance is a concern when connected to the Unifi Controller, as it seems to cause a reduction in performance. The Unifi Controller is slower compared to other options like Aruba. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using it for ten to 15 years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The performance is good when the access point is used without the controller, yet connecting to the controller alters the performance negatively. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Unifi solutions are very good for starting up, and their scalability is solid. However, they seem to be lacking when connected to the Unifi Controller. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We are currently testing Aruba as it seems to provide better performance than Unifi, specifically for larger conference rooms. How was the initial setup? Initially, it was easy to set up, and deployment of access points was straightforward. What was our ROI? Unifi offers very good ROI, however, Aruba is perceived as having better performance. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost of Unifi equipment is now expensive compared to Aruba. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We have tested Aruba, and its performance is notably better than Unifi. Aruba provides a very reliable experience, especially for larger setups. What other advice do I have? Unifi is a good option for small solutions but might not be the best choice for larger setups. For larger and more robust solutions, Aruba provides a better experience. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Though the setup phase is easy, the product needs to have lesser limitations What is our primary use case? Regarding the product's use cases, the solution is good, or else people would have reached out to us complaining about its performance or faulty equipment. What is most valuable? Aruba Instant On Access Points is one of the better types of equipment in terms of entry-level access points though there are not many advanced features that are being used in it. Aruba Instant On Access Points is used in retail, cafeterias, or campus networks to provide access points to provide Wi-Fi. What needs improvement? From an improvement perspective, I hope to see lesser limitations in Aruba Instant On Access Points. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for less than two years. I use Aruba Instant On AP25 Access Points. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Stability-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten. We haven't had many complaints coming in from the customers regarding the performance or the equipment, so I think they are a little above average. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a four out of ten. The product's machine or equipment can cater to around 20 connections and cannot go beyond 50 simultaneous connections, because of which I think the tool's scalability is limited. In my company, around 200 users are there for Aruba Instant On Access Points. Aruba Instant On Access Points is suitable for small businesses. How are customer service and support? I haven't specifically used the solution's technical support and have always opted for general HPE support. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I use Cisco. How was the initial setup? I rate the initial setup a three on a scale of one to ten, where one is easy, and ten is difficult. The solution is deployed on-premises. The tool can be deployed in a day. Two people from my company are needed for deployment. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I rate the product's pricing a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive. Solutions from some brands are cheaper than Aruba Instant On Access Points, while others, like Cisco, are expensive. What other advice do I have? The product is easy to set up, providing value for time since it is very quick. Overall, I rate the solution a seven and a half out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and quick to deploy but could be less expensive What is our primary use case? We primarily use the solution for low or indoor coverage. We use it in our factory. How has it helped my organization? It has made maintenance very easy, and we don't have to do too much maintenance on it. We don't have large maintenance windows. What is most valuable? It's very easy to maintain. Maintenance tasks go very smoothly. The monitoring if very good. The configuration is very simple. Overall, it works very well. It is easy to set it up initially. What needs improvement? There is nothing on my mind that stands out as something that needs improvement. It can be a little bit expensive. While it is mostly scalable, there are some limitations. For how long have I used the solution? I've used the solution for about two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is stable. There are no bugs or glitches and it doesn;t crash or freeze. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable. It has some limitations, however, for the most part, you can expand it well. I'd rate the scalability seven out of ten. We have about 200 people using the solution at one location and another 15 at another. How are customer service and support? I've never escalated questions to technical support. I cannot speak to how helpful or responsive they would be. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is very easy and straightforward. It took me two hours to handle the entire setup. The maintenance is minimal and very easy. What about the implementation team? I was able to set up the solution myself. I did not need outside assistance. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing can be a bit high and we'd like it to be lower. What other advice do I have? I work with the latest version of the solution. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten. It's a good device. However, we'd like more scalability. I'd recommend the solution to others. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable and easy-to-implement solution What is most valuable? The solution is excellent and reliable. What needs improvement? The solution's range could be better. Presently, it reaches up to a 40-50 ft. radius. It would be helpful for enterprise customers if it covers a 70-80 ft. radius. How are customer service and support? The solution's technical support is excellent. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? The solution's initial setup process is easy with Aruba switches. In comparison, it is time-consuming if you use third-party switches. What other advice do I have? If you want a reliable and easy-to-implement solution, go for Aruba. I rate it an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is easy to manage, has a very nice interface, and looks nicer on the ceiling What is our primary use case? Our primary use case is to give users access to WiFi in the office. What is most valuable? Aruba Instant on Access Points is easy to manage, has a very nice interface, and looks nicer on the ceiling. The coverage Aruba provides across the physical area is much better. Most probably because of the new technology, the 4x4 antenna, and everything around it. It's just a much better, easier to use, and easier to manage product. The cloud-based solution is very easy to set up and easy to manage. You get reporting on it, alerts, and everything. There is no need to have any physical buttons on the devices, when it's done through the cloud interface, everything is perfect. The full functionality of doing changes on it automatically gets applied to the access points. It's just a perfectly working product. What needs improvement? If there's a way to get a floor map of our office space so we can place the access points on a map to be able to see what's what, where everything is going, where the most traffic is being connected, that would be a nice feature. We had it on Ruckus Access Points. But it's not a must, based on the trade-off of price versus functionality, there's nothing that I would expect to be better than what it is. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using Aruba for a month or so. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I didn't run a stress test because we don't have that many users, but it definitely works perfectly for the amount of users we have. We have up to 20 to 25 users at a time, we never had more than 25 users. Everything looks very good. Everything works perfectly as expected, with no drop in usage or connectivity. By 20 users you don't see a difference. We're going to have a big conference. We're going to have probably 100 users using it. This will be the first time we're going to have that many users. And I will have more input on the reliability when it comes to a lot of users. It's always on. Everything is perfect. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We only have four access points. I don't see a reason why doing more should make a difference. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We went away from the FortiAP to Aruba Instant On and it's much smoother in transitioning, going from one access point to another and the speed on it is much better. We moved to a new location, so instead of taking Fortinet along, we decided to buy new access points, to try out the new equipment and the new technology. It has better beamforming for the WiFi signal. And it's just a better product. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was pretty straightforward for these devices. You just put in the serial number online and power on the device. It finds it and everything is instantly on. It's very easy to manage. There's almost no manageability to it. You need much less IT experience or knowledge to set up and manage this solution than I have. I have a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge. You could give it to a new graduate IT person or even no IT knowledge, once it's set up, everything is extremely easy to manage. Maybe to set it up you need a little bit of knowledge, but that's it. The deployment took ten minutes. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It's not expensive and it comes with everything included. There's no need to buy extra stuff on both, like hardware and software support. It's very well priced. I can't see that anyone could be cheaper or better. It is important to us that there are no extra costs for the solution's security features. You buy the product with all the features. Security-wise and manageability, you don't have any extra costs out of pocket. You pay below $200 for an access point. It's a very good price and everything's included, there's nothing extra. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I reached out to our vendor to ask about the cheapest and best solution. If I would need to go with a new WiFi solution, something that wouldn't require us to have an extended payment plan in order to use it. Meraki and other places use cloud management where you need to pay an annual fee in order to use it. They recommended Aruba and I decided to go ahead. What other advice do I have? It seems like Aruba is the best product out there at this point for a small business. Based on my experience, this should be the easiest to use with the least overhead in order to run it because you don't need to have the Cloud Management included. There is no extra equipment onsite or services to run onsite in order to manage it. There are no extra costs to continue using the cloud for how long you want, based on what Aruba is claiming. At this point in time, I see this for small to medium businesses that don't have in-house IT or a lot of extensive knowledge IT people on-premise. This should be the easiest and most cost-effective WiFi solution to deploy. I would rate it a ten out of ten. The only reason I would have gone down to nine is because of the phone support. I didn't have a chance to check that the phone support is only for the first 90 days. And the hardware warranty is only for a year. I didn't know that they only have 90 days. It seems like a solid product. I don't see a real reason why I will need even support but if I could extend the hardware warranty on it for a longer period of time because I didn't use it that long, I don't know maybe in three years from now it will fail, I want to be able to get that replacement if needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has good performance, comes with many features, and is perfect for small and medium sites What is our primary use case? We mostly use it for offices. What is most valuable? Its price is fair, and you get many features with it. Its performance is very good. It suits small and medium sites very well. What needs improvement? If anything, its reporting could be improved. At the moment, I don't see any new features that we really need. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is scalable. How are customer service and support? Their support is fine. How was the initial setup? Its setup is very easy. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Its price is fair. It is not really cheap, and it is also not expensive. It is in the middle. What other advice do I have? It is a very good solution. I would recommend it to others, but it has its own use case. I can't use it everywhere. It is not suitable for a big site. I would rate it a nine out of 10. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An expensive solution that can be recommended for SMB market What needs improvement? The tool's pricing is not good. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Aruba Instant On Access Points are stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The product is scalable. It has 20 users. How was the initial setup? The tool's deployment is easy. You need to log in to the portal and scan the QR code to add the device. You can complete the deployment in four hours. You need one person to handle it. What other advice do I have? Rated 5 out of 5 by from An affordable stable solution for WiFi with easy management What is our primary use case? We use the solution for Wi-Fi solutions. What is most valuable? The solution is stable and easy to manage. What needs improvement? The solution’s scalability and autonomous part could be improved. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable but up to a limit. It is not for enterprise. Aruba has made the Instant On for a separate range. 10-15 people are using this solution. We cater the solution to smaller customers, like small hotels, clinics, or hospitals. It is deployed where the customer is budget-constrained. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy and takes one to two days to complete. One or two technically qualified would be sufficient for managing Instant On. What was our ROI? We’ve achieved ROI. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? One doesn’t need a license to use Instant On. You can install and plug and play. It is an affordable solution. What other advice do I have? I recommend the solution because it is stable and easy to manage. Overall, I rate the solution an eight to nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to setup and acts as a replica of a controller, providing nearly all the features What is our primary use case? We have several good use cases where we don't have the need for a controller in a couple of locations or for small office areas. In those situations, Aruba Instant is a good solution. It provides similar mobility access advantages as Cisco, so we have a similar experience with the Instant AP. This is particularly useful when we don't require a controller. In such cases, the APIs are very helpful for small wireless deployments, managing around six to eight access points, and providing all the necessary wireless capabilities. It's a cost-effective solution, similar to Cisco, for supporting small deployments. How has it helped my organization? Aruba Instant On Access Points have greatly enhanced our organization's operations. These access points provide most of the setup functionalities that we typically use at the enterprise level. While a controller offers various integration options and enables features like the guest portal, the Instant AP is designed in a similar way. Although it doesn't offer the full range of controller functionalities, it acts as a replica and provides nearly all the features available on a controller. This is particularly beneficial for customers who have budget constraints and cannot invest in a full-fledged controller. In terms of cost and deployment, Aruba Instant On Access Points are a suitable and cost-effective solution. They are also easier to manage. It's a good option to propose to customers who have limited budgets or lack advanced technical skills. Additionally, for users with basic home router settings, they can easily set up the Aruba Instant On Access Points in a similar manner. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature is the ease of setup, which includes the full set of features. When you turn on the Access Point (AP), it automatically broadcasts a setup SSID, allowing you to easily connect to it using your mobile device and configure it according to your needs. You can set up the desired SSID, configure security settings, and even enable an internal guest portal. This guest portal is particularly useful in the Instant AP. Additionally, we can integrate the APs with our existing AAA servers. These are the key features of the Instant APs. So, the valuable features include setup capabilities, security, and integration. What needs improvement? I sincerely think that the focus should be on improving monitoring capabilities. Currently, we have to integrate these APs into the APAP as a management platform for configuration and other tasks. However, Aruba enhances the monitoring aspect by providing more analytical views and troubleshooting capabilities; it would be beneficial if Aruba prioritize these areas. We faced an issue when trying to integrate this Instant AP with other tools. The functionalities are limited, and I couldn't find proper documentation regarding this matter. If they could provide more integrations, such as APIs to integrate with our existing monitoring platforms or other systems, it would be a valuable addition. That's what I think the next release should focus on, from my point of view in IT. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for more than a year. We currently use version 8.10. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I would rate the stability of this solution a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? In terms of scalability, I would rate it as a five out of ten, which means it's medium. It is suitable for smaller organizations, but it may not be the best choice for large enterprises. If an organization is larger and needs to manage a significant number of APs, a different solution might be more suitable. Around 50 users are currently using Aruba Instant On Access Points in our company. The users have various job roles. They handle tasks such as programming, software, and networking. We utilize it to its maximum potential. It is used 24/7, every day. How are customer service and support? Customer service and support are not up to mark. The response time depends on the type of support or service contract we have. Currently, we have 5B and 30 support contracts. When we raise a ticket, it takes about 48 hours to resolve. They connect with us, gather the required information, and start troubleshooting. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral How was the initial setup? The initial setup is very easy. I would rate my experience with it a nine out of ten. The deployment took hardly ten minutes. However, like any other APs, maintenance is required. We typically perform maintenance at least once a year to check the AP conditions and address any software updates or related tasks. Usually, one person is sufficient for maintenance. It's usually the same person who handles both the deployment and maintenance. What about the implementation team? We handled the deployment ourselves. We didn't involve any third party. The setup guide and installation documentation are well-prepared and helpful for the deployment process. Along with the APs, we receive a simple documentation link. By following the guidelines provided in that documentation, it becomes very easy to set up the APs. The steps for turning on the APs and connecting the cables are mentioned in the documentation. If you follow the setup guide, the configuration process becomes very easy. You can start with just one person for the initial configuration. But for proper deployment, if you have around five to six APs, it would be fine to have two people managing the installation and cable connections. Otherwise, one person can handle the installation process. If we are in remote size, the person responsible for deployment verifies the AP positions, installs the necessary cables, and ensures the power requirements are met for each specific location where the APs need to be mounted. They also perform the initial configuration. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It's a cost-effective solution, similar to Cisco, for supporting small deployments. If I compare it to other vendors, I would say the pricing is low. You can rate it as a six out of ten, with one being expensive and ten being cheap. Moreover, there are no additional costs apart from the standard license fees. What other advice do I have? You can consider the Aruba 515 and 5315 series. They are good in terms of the overall installation. Overall, it's the best solution because I have personally worked with other vendors before, and Aruba Instant provides a good cost-wise and solution-wise experience. It's also easy to set up and manage, making it suitable for customers looking for small-scale, stable network deployments. Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten because of its overall performance. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides seamless connectivity for large public venues, as well as pop-up sites and loading docks What is our primary use case? I've provided support for around five or six customers. One notable use case involves a customer with a small branch looking to cover their building. Due to budget constraints, we recommended Ruckus Unleashed for its cost-effectiveness, and it proved suitable for small offices. Another customer engaged in a proof of concept for access points to cover a specific site. I've offered support for approximately five or six customers. This year, I collaborated with around five customers, and I'm uncertain about the number from last year. In one instance, a customer with a limited budget opted for Ruckus Unleashed, especially suitable for small offices due to its cost-effectiveness. Another customer engaged in a proof of concept for access points to cover a specific site. What is most valuable? Regarding access points, the customer typically considers low-cost plans, and Ruckus Unleashed Access Points are commonly used. These access points are managed through the Microsoft console and can be accessed either with or without ports. The management is done through a controller. The main benefits customers see include cost-effectiveness, especially for those with budget constraints. Aruba, in particular, provides a good user experience. Some customers might choose Huawei, but enterprise access points are also considered. Additionally, the unified access point capabilities are valuable, allowing management from the same account. However, there is a limitation of twenty-five access points, and if a customer requires more, they need to create another site or account. If the customer exceeds twenty-five access points, they need to generate another site or virtual business to manage additional access points, as the external number is limited to twenty-five. What needs improvement? I believe there's room for improvement in the validation process, especially for customers facing compliance issues when managing access points from the cloud. It would be beneficial if the access points could also be managed from an on-premises controller. Regarding additional features, customers express interest in enhancing the controller, specifically improving the capability to manage a higher number of access points from the same controller. This feature is crucial for better scalability. Another feature that customers would appreciate is the ability to increase the number of access points. However, the current process for obtaining this permission can be time-consuming, and customers would like to see improvements in this regard. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for past two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability is restricted to twenty-five access points. To manage additional access points, a new site ID needs to be created, and each site ID accommodates up to twenty-five access points. This approach is followed to onboard and manage access points within the specified limitations. How are customer service and support? I've got a technical support case. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I'm familiar with the solution, and I believe it's widely used in the business sector. However, I think the organization is involved in much more. But I don't recall having the analytical details on that solution. How was the initial setup? It is necessary to connect the instant access points with NGINX. The serial number is a standard identifier, and it's considered more standard than an enterprise access point. Regarding the deployment, the controller is in the cloud, and the appliances are on-premises.For the deployment of instant access points, as a partner, our engineers handle the implementation. Customers typically provide information about the environment, such as the location of access points. Documentation is not frequently requested, and the deployment time varies based on factors like the number of access points. The initial configuration of the controller takes about 30 minutes, and adding access points afterward typically takes 2 to 5 minutes each. What about the implementation team? There is a challenge related to resetting access points, especially when dealing with repeated access points. The process involves obtaining the access point from PeerSpot or another source and performing a hard reset. This issue is a common aspect in various solutions. What was our ROI? Prior to the inquiry, we had a substantial customer who exclusively preferred Aruba's solution for their extensive file-sharing needs. The customer insisted on sticking to Aruba and didn't consider alternative solutions from other vendors. Consequently, we recommended the Enterprise Access Point. However, upon realizing the high cost associated with this option, we engaged in discussions with the IT manager to explore ways to reduce costs. What other advice do I have? Prior to recommending Aruba as our distribution partner, I engaged in discussions with various teams, including the business team, to understand the diverse needs of our customers. Our customers span across different industries, including HVAC, performance, and enterprise security. Each customer segment has its unique set of requirements and questions. Some are focused on home security, while others are concerned with enterprise-level solutions. In particular, Aruba's cloud offerings have features and technologies that set them apart. The vendor landscape is competitive, and Aruba stands out in terms of the unique features it offers. One notable feature is the integration of sensors in access points, which enhances the solution's capabilities. However, I also inquired about Aruba's compatibility with external devices and sensors, such as those used for Central Scale Effect. This information is crucial for understanding the overall performance and integration capabilities of Aruba's solutions. For medium and small businesses, the rating would be eight out of ten for Ruben Incident Intelligence. The consideration is based on the fact that each customer, particularly those with small branches, may require approximately eight or nine devices from Verizon. It's important to note that this evaluation pertains to the pricing solution, not Ruben software specifically. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offers good speed and important tool for reliable connection What is our primary use case? We use this product in our hospital. We use them for our medical computers connected to the Wi-Fi, our guests and patients on their mobile devices, and even for the small children. We also use them for internal support within the hospital. It's a very important tool for reliable connection, and we're happy with the Wi-Fi system. What is most valuable? It gives us a good speed for clients who connect to the wifi system. It's mainly for our patients, medical doctors, and nurses. That was the most important thing we wanted to own. The mobile app is good. We have many things that are connected through mobile. Most users use mobile to connect to the Wi-Fi. They are very happy and satisfied with this helpful tool. What needs improvement? The licensing model could be improved. It needs more clarity. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using it for six months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is very stable. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? There are around 250 end users. The usage depends on the devices that come to our hospital. There are different devices and users, including mobile, iPad, and medical studies. These are the major things that can be used in our offices. If we need to expand and add things, we have to ask IT support. But they are very helpful. Really, the support from HPE has been great since we started working with them to install the access points. How are customer service and support? During the last six months, we didn't have any special or complicated cases to solve. We have been able to solve all issues ourselves without needing to contact support. How was the initial setup? The setup is not very easy. It requires some experience with Wi-Fi, especially with cloud connection and security. We received support from HPE, who were very helpful in configuring Instant On Access Points. It's not very easy, but it requires more information and initial support from HPE Aruba for configuration. Customization on it needs experience. If we need any customization on the system, we have to ask support to help us. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It needs a license. I have complained about the license. The cost is not simple. Each access point needs a license, and you have to pay a yearly license for the Aruba Central Management Cloud. What other advice do I have? It is a good product. I would rate it a nine out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides stable access points with faster and easier deployment What is most valuable? The solution has fast deployment and easy setup. There is no security PIN for this account. What needs improvement? We request an adjustment for the portal to accommodate the MSP portal function. We need a separate MSP for the terminal management. Aruba is segmented. We need a separate MSP portal to manage the customer better. For how long have I used the solution? I have used Aruba Instant On Access Points for 3-4 years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. It cannot compete with enterprise Access Points. I rate the solution’s stability a seven out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? If the business proves to be a larger enterprise, you need to change to a more complex device. It is suitable for small to medium businesses. I rate the solution’s scalability a seven to eight out of ten. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward and takes 15-30 minutes to complete. You can bring it directly to the customer and plug it into any RSTP network. You can remotely set it up from anywhere. What other advice do I have? It's not necessary to use a complex network setup. You can use RSTP to work with Aruba On, and it will directly connect to the call portal for setup. I recommend the solution for small to medium businesses since it is stable. It is not suitable for enterprise. Overall, I rate the solution as seven to eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides good reliability, quality, price, and value for money What is our primary use case? I'm in the warehousing business, and we use the solution to create a kind of LAN in the warehouse. What is most valuable? Aruba is much better than other vendors like Cisco and NETGEAR in terms of quality, price, and value for money. We used the 303 series earlier, but now we have moved on to the 505 series. What needs improvement? The solution should include higher speed and lesser cost. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Aruba Instant On Access Points for five to six years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the solution a nine out of ten for stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We faced some issues with compatibility between the 303 and 505 series in the same environment. Other than that, Aruba Instant On Access Points is a scalable solution. We have 26 to 27 sites and 100 to 200 users on each site regularly use the solution. How was the initial setup? The initial setup of the solution is as simple as plug-and-play for me. What about the implementation team? In one site, we use approximately 100 to 120 access points. If I remove the cabling part, it takes me about two to three days to deploy and configure them. First, we do the cabling, then connect the device and the switches. Then, we assign an IP address, switch it on, and check whether we are getting the signal or not. What other advice do I have? Aruba Instant On Access Points is a stable solution. For the last five years, wherever we have installed this, we have not had any complaints where we had to troubleshoot and replace it. I would recommend the solution to other users because it is a reliable, stable, and trouble-free tool. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. They arrive on their computer and work very well. We have never had a problem with the solution. It is deployed on the private cloud. What needs improvement? The solution can be more integrated with other brands. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using the solution for approximately five years and are currently using Access Point 200-Series and 300-Series Instant A. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable, and approximately 15 to 20 people use it. How are customer service and support? We have had a good experience with customer service and support. I rate them a ten out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We previously used Cisco and D-link, but we switched because this solution was a good alternative. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy. However, it may be because the people who sold it to us made the initial configuration. Deployment took two days. What about the implementation team? We implemented it through a vendor team. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I rate licensing costs an eight out of ten. What other advice do I have? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible, reliable, and has failover capabilities What is our primary use case? It's a wireless WAN solution. What is most valuable? The Virtual Controller feature is great. It is a flexible solution. You do not have to purchase a separate wireless controller. You can use, for example, only the access point. The initial setup is very simple. It's stable and reliable. We really like that the solution offers the ability to do a cluster. One AP can act as a master controller. If that AP goes down, another in the cluster can take over. It allows for an effective failover scenario. What needs improvement? We've had some small issues with stability in terms of replacing the real controller. It's only suitable for smaller offices. It doesn't scale well. They could be more flexible with pricing and lower costs. It would be ideal if they could reduce the time to failover. For how long have I used the solution? I've been using the solution for maybe two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is great. I would rate it eight out of ten in terms of reliability. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is not a very scalable product. It's great for small offices, not big organizations. We have maybe 300 users at this time. How are customer service and support? We've never dealt with Aruba technical support yet. How was the initial setup? It's easy to set up and implement. It's not overly complex. We have two or three admins that can assist with any deployment or maintenance tasks. One admin can easily manage 16 APs for 300 users. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost of the solution can be a bit high.
