IBM Security Secret Server enables enterprises to help keep their privileged accounts secure from hackers and insider threats, helps ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and allows authorized employees to seamlessly gain access to the tools and information they need to drive productivity.

Through the Business User license, Security Secret Server can also be used to manage accounts not considered privileged. These accounts can include individual or team application accounts and credentials. Examples of accounts not considered privileged include email login, social media password, or productivity software credentials. Business User licenses can be ordered in groups of 50.

Business Users are not permitted to manage privileged accounts, such as database server credentials, security appliance passwords, cloud service root keys, or any other IT infrastructure credentials. Managing these types of accounts require Privileged User access.
