Perfect for a convertible chromebook
Exactly what I was looking for - easy to use, fast, light, durable, good battery, and inexpensive. Did a bunch of research before purchasing, and so far I think I made the right choice. A perfect chromebook.

Flexible portable speed demon
It is everything we hoped for! Light, sturdy, fast, and exceptional battery life. It is the perfect companion when flying, and allowed us to watch Netflix on the bed. Quick start and shut down adds to the appeal. I recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a small, portable solution.

Nice product
I bought these for my children as Christmas gifts. Have yet to see how they hold up but the seem very nice and very sturdy. I think “Santa” chose well if I do say so myself

So happy with my purchase.
We were hesitant to get a Chormebook since we were so use to using Microsoft Office. I was able to transfer my excel spreadsheet with no problems. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great laptop, super portable
This laptop works really well! It's portable so I take it with me a lot. The major problem is it has an ARM processor, which means compatibility problems sometimes. A great laptop for the price. It also has a great battery life ... I charge it at night and it goes until 7 or 8 in the evening

Nice alternative to clunky laptop.
Nice change from my Toshiba Windows based laptop. It is not as powerful as the Toshiba, but it does everything I need for surfing the web, watching YouTube, and communicating with Email. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Perfect and Portable
I bought this Chromebook for a month long training session this summer. It's the perfect size to carry with me all day long. It also fires up very quickly and has all the features I need to take notes and search the internet. It's also nice that it's built extra tough, so I don't need to worry about damaging it while carrying it around. The touchscreen is also super accurate. Sturdy, very good touch response
Bought it fo my middle schooler and we both are very satisfied. Its sturdy enough to take the beating at the school. The hinges and keys are strong and leave me one less thing to worry about. Super happy with the touch screen, very responsive and smooth.
Its a little towards the smaller, pudgier side, but then for its sturdiness its an easy trade-off [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great school machine.
So far the kids find the Chrome books quite nice and reliable. Unit is nicely built and we love the complete fold option. I am 74 raising a 10 year old girl and 11 year old boy. The Chromebooks are a must for Google classroom. As a former IT person and retired firewall builder I love the security. Hope to get the kids through the next 3-4 years before laptops.

a lot to like, some to dislike
The only other Chromebook I've owned was a 720 with Core i3 processor, so most everything will be compared with that experience.
The lag in performance is noticeable immediately, just opening apps or new tabs in Chrome. It actually matches the performance I've experienced in test-driving other Chromebooks that didn't have the i3, but I was still a little surprised considering how old those others had been. About a month in, and I'm still getting used to waiting.
The form factor is nice, as one of the reasons I bought this model was for the convertible tablet aspect. It's a big tablet, and feeling the keyboard on the bottom is odd; however, I fly a lot, so it is nice to be able to keep this device out the entire time I'm on the plane instead of keeping it stowed until laptops are allowed. In laptop mode the keyboard is responsive and the keys have a comfortable travel. The touchpad is not as sensitive as what I'm used to on or my old Chromebook or Windows laptops, so there is a lot of re-clicking.
I knew I was going to want more storage than the 32GB it came with, so I asked the question about how the SD card fits on the Lenovo product site. It was answered that the card sits flush with the body when inserted, but that is patently incorrect. Only about 2/5 of the card is inside the body, so most of it is sticking out, which means I am loathe to leave an SD card installed when I put it in my backpack. All that really means is using expandable storage is just as inconvenient as it was for me previously, but I don't appreciate a Lenovo rep providing a wrong answer.
The screen is a pleasant surprise. It is 720p resolution, which suits me just fine, but the brightness and sharpness is outstanding. I am still regulalry attempting to turn down the brightness to save battery power when I realize I am only a couple of steps up from "off."
The battery lasts as long as advertised, which was another reason I chose this model. As the backup device for both of my Windows laptops, I depend on it to be available to use after they go dead. I don't think it has died yet, even when I forgot the power cable on a 3-day trip. I also really like having a USB-C charging cable, as it juices my phone in no time.
Play apps work great, almost across the board. The pre-loaded VLC player was giving me problems, but since I installed it from the Play Store it has worked perfectly. I haven't installed a ton of apps, but I haven't had any problems with functionality.
I've had a few Android tablets, and Fire tablets, but the lagging performance and lack of keyboard always reminded me that they weren't Chromebooks. The 300e gives me the tablet convenience with Play apps and on an airplane while still providing the laptop experience. I had been considering an iPad, but that would be my only Apple device. Considering the price equivalence with the entry-level iPad, and already being firmly planted in the Google ecosphere, this device checks a lot of boxes for me. I can live with the SD card sticking out and the slight patience required for responsiveness.

I have had this about a month, Still learning all the differences it has compared to my old tablet. I like how fast it is.Open the lid and it's ready almost instantly.Moving from one item to another is fast, real fast.I like that. I do wish it has a camera on both sides of the book.As i like taking pictures of friends and family [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Perfect laptop for school environment!
I'm an ELA teacher who's school is heavily Google classroom oriented. This laptop is perfect, being able to use any pencil as a stylus works so well when correcting papers digitally. It has all the ports I need especially HDMI which I need to connect to projectors. It's amazingly durable, feels good, and although some images make it seem bulky, it's really not and not that heavy at all. I actually carry two laptops around this one and my school issued laptop, this is way lighter. Soild quality, and most importantly it's affordable to the point where if it gets lost or stolen I can buy a new one! CON: Although you can use a pencil as a stylus, because there isn't a dedicated stylus the os is regular. So an extra stlyus menu or palm rejection are things you won't find here. Maybe upgrade to the 500e if you are a heavy stylus user. I just needed it to highlight and write on PDFs a bit. But if I was an artist or something more I would need a dedicated stylus Chromebook. I buy a lot of electronics and while I'm waiting for the pixelbook 2 this definitely has me considering if I'll even get it or not ...... Sike nah I'm going to get the PB2, but this is still a great buy!

Great Laptop!
My son uses the exact model in school, so we wanted him to have one for home, as well. He cannot write legibly due to a stroke so he does all of his "writing" on his chromebook. This was a perfect solution for him at school and home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Poor quality and No processing power
This laptop on the outside sounds like a great product, but is soon a you take a look at the specs it all falls apart. The processor inside is a slow sluggish and will not run any multi video streams even at 360p (this means that google meets, zooms, etc will cause this device to slow to a crawl. the display is ok the colors are just fine and the resolution isn't that great especially if you work with a lot of text.

It's great for mobility on the job
I use this frequently as a light weight diagnostic tool but also a bit of leisure... I'm also a fan of chrome os but I have had ubuntu light running flawlessly with zsh zle.lc and I must say it's a reliable piece of equipment that looks a lot pricier than it was! Another hit in my opinion, thanks guys!
