The sound output is pretty good and the experience just gets better when you enable the 7.1 mode (if the original content support 7.1 surround mode). The three other sound modes do not contribute much. Mids and lows are differentiable. base could be better. One best thing about the headphone is its mic quality. One of the best I must say. Overall build quality is absolutely fantastic. The cable is also durable and tanglefree.

I like the fact I can pull out the mic to different positions. The weight of headset is comfortable, and I have had no issues wearing headset for long period of time. Would recommend this headset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent sound - big discount vs rivals Overall decent headset but I ended up returning it. Bought it on a big discount. I found the sound to be very good with these. Listening to music with these was great, and everything felt immersive with the surround sound button on the USB. You have to use this as the 3.5mm jack is too short to reach the back (or your front jack). I found the USB clip to be annoying and wish I could have clipped it to something other than my shirt, such as the desk. The cord does transmit some noise through the metal of the headset (such as on the edge of the desk) but I didn't notice it during gaming. The headset appears well built. It was comfortable for the most part but I do wish the top was self adjustable. The weight is comparable to other headsets. I didn't get a chance to use the microphone but it does retract.

I work in IT Sec and this headset is used for long periods of time a day. It does not hurt my ears. Unfortunately, the earcups ave started to fall apart after 6 month of use. The 50mm drivers are amazing for music as well.

The rotating ear cups fit perfectly over my ears, and the padding is so soft. The 7.1 surround sound is incredible. The controls are conveniently placed. The USB and 3.5mm connections make it compatible with all my devices. Highly recommended!

For the price it is really good, previous headset was from amazon and I can say compared to cheaper options it is way better in terms of mic quality and the sound is pretty good as well. The 7.1 surround sound is cool for gaming, although I do not notice much of a difference with the equalizer settings, but maybe that is just me lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad, not great Got it on sale with my purchase of a legion laptop for about $80. Still quite expensive. The "Surround sound" sounds terrible outside of music and "okay-ish" in games. I'm not an audio expert or the term people use to classify someone who knows a lot about audio but these headphones, mainly it's surround sound feature, just sounds... echoey. I've never heard surround sound before, i think, but I can tell you it's certainly not supposed to sound echoey. With it disabled, it's semi noise cancelling and seems somewhat clear but when you click/enable the 7.1 surround sound, audio seems to get amplified turn echoey. That's the best word i can describe it. It's like you're in a bathroom listening to loud audio. My headset also had a bit more noise-canceling on one ear, so that's really annoying sometimes. For the original price of $135 CAD(Forgot. It was over $120 though), definitely not worth it. Even at $80, I'm somewhat hesitant. This seems to be more so a $70 headset. Build quality is good. Adjustability is good. The headset cable/wire gets annoying because of the sound feedback you get when rubbed against things. Sometimes the metal wiring on the sides (the adjusting wires) creak and that's annoying too. Comfort is good. Non surround sound is good. Surround sound is... eh. Haven't tried the mic yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Above Average 7.1 Surround I ordered these recently during a Black Friday sale. I use them primarily on my Windows PC. When they are working the sound is phenomenal. It really adds to the immersion. Beware that some 3rd party software such as VBMeter doesn’t like the 7.1 headset when replicating the sound on 2 channels. I would buy these again, they are quite comfortable for their size and they aren’t overly heavy.

With a fat head, I have destroyed the plastic on a number of over the head headphones through the years. The aluminium frame and attachment to the muffs should last. It is reasonably comfortable. For this price range, I expected better sound quality. When used with the 7.1 USB sound card dongle ON, I found a lot of crackling, especially when fed actual 5.1 source material - there might be a codec fight occurring. I had better surround sound from a $50 Turtle Beach unit (whose plastic frame failed quickly). With the 7.1 turned off, it acts as an extra sound card, which can be useful. When used with the headphone jack alone, the audio is acceptable, but nothing to write home about - I expected more out of this unit. The sound isolation from the muffs is adequate, but not so good that you can't hear what else is going on around you.

Voices sound clear, ok for music. They don't reproduce the level of detail of a pair of premium headphones but they sound very good for the price. I didn't use them for gaming so I don't know how well the 7.1 feature works. I tried it for music and Skype and I can tell it was not designed for that. The braided cord looks nice but you hear it loud in the headphones when it's rubbing against clothing. Good design, cool but not so flashy that I feel embarrassed having a video call with my manager.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good audio quality with some minor issues The audio quality of this headset is very good. I have been using it as a replacement for a Jabra headset. The headset does not include noise cancellation. But the headset is well-padded and keeps out external noise. Given that the headset is well-padded, it can get quite warm after a while of wearing it, but that is not much different than my experience with the Jabra headset. Unlike the Jabra, the headset does not render my own voice, so you can get into the situation where you start talking louder than normal and disturbing those around you because your own voice is muffled. Perhaps there is some setting that I am missing?

I found that the writing on the control switch is too hard to see , especially in lower ligtht. Although to be fair my eyes aren't the youngest. As well, when taking it apart it isnt super obvious where the dettachment points are. Okay a 3rd issue which may not be, not sure if there is a way to revert back to my regular speakers without reaching around back of the tower and unplugging from the USB port.

Got a terrible run-around trying to just find out can I fix it by getting a new earpad. My guess is no, but no-one can help me. All I get is one department transferring me to another department. From the original website question answer through 4 phone numbers 3rd person took my photo and set up a case, but the person who answered the 4th number I was given could not access the case and was going to send me elsewhere. I'm done. Maybe this is why they are on sale...

The design also seems durable, I expect these to last me a long time and remain reliable, and that's what I'm looking for in a Lenovo product. The USB DAC also adds value because other headphones can be plugged in, so when I am on the go I can choose less bulky in-ear monitors with microphone and still benefit from the EQ, volume control and microphone mute from the USB module.

The mic provides decent audio quality as well. My only issue is the braided cable. You can hear it rubbing on any hard surface. Other than that small issue, this is a great headset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have ever had These are the best headphones I have ever had. 7.1 Surround sound. I never had Beats or Bose or anything over $100. About 5 pairs in the last 12 years. Pros- Excellent sound quality. Very comfortable. I wear them 5-10 hours a day and they don't hurt my ears. Soft foam cups. I have a large head and medium sized ears. My ears fit inside the cups very well. Headband is snug, but not tight. Feels secure enough that they will not fall off. I like the style. Aesthetically nice. Wire is wrapped with woven fibers to make it more durable. There are Cons, but none so bad that they would lose stars. Passive Noise Cancelling is overstated. Noise is somewhat muffled by the foam, but still entirely audible. Maybe 60% volume for room noise. Due to the solid metal headband and shells, they resonate like cans on a string at a tree house. Any contact with any part of this device will be transmitted directly to your ears. As I type this, I can hear the wire rubbing against my shirt fabric on my shoulder. Might bother some people. Wire may be a little short for some. I generally prefer L connectors because they reduce the wire bending at the plug so they last longer. All that said, would buy again. I don't think that will happen soon. Solidly constructed and should last several years.

Unfortunately it doesn't tell you, the mute and volume option is for pc only. I hit up tech support and they said there was no workaround. I ordered an inline 3.5mm jack mute and volume piece from amazon.. and worked around it.. kinda silly to not make the volume and mute cross compatible.

The only real complaint that I have is that there's a weird pressure that happens around your ears if you wear them for too long that makes them a little sore. Other than that, their awesome headphones, the 7.1 surround sound is very good and I love that they have a mic switch and that the mic boom is retractable.
