The case shell is rather thick and it provides good protection.However, we expected it to be a very light sleeve that would compliment the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It is heavy for a woman to carry it around. The specifications say that it weighs 1 lb. For comparison, the ThinkPad X1 weighs 2.49 lbs itself.
