The cornerstone of our superior copper structured cabling systems—eXtreme 6+ System Category 6, GigaMax 5e, Category 5 and Category 3 snap-in connectors—feature dual-color-coded wiring labels with both T568A and T568B wiring patterns, for dual flexibility in a single connector, plus fast, accurate termination of station wiring.
QuickPort GigaMax Cat5e Snap-In Connector is modular connector for Enhanced Category 5 UTP structured cabling systems. Uses include high megabit applications and shared-sheath applications such as Gigabit Ethernet and 622Mbps ATM.
The modular connector shall be individual snap-in style, and provide compliance with all National Electrical Codes; compliant with FCC Part 68; UL listed; and independently UL Certified. In addition, all category-rated connectors are fully compliant with published TIA-568-B requirements.
Jack spring contacts are the highest quality phosphor bronze, plated with 50 microinches of gold over 100 microinches of nickel for lowest contact resistance, maximum life. All plastics used in construction of the connector bodies shall be fire-retardant with a UL flammability rating of 94V- 0. Termination of all connectors shall be 110-type insulation displacement connectors (IDC) with solder-plated phosphor bronze contacts. The connector shall provide a ledge directly adjacent to the 110-style termination against which the wires can be directly terminated and cut in one action by the installation craftsperson. Connector wiring label shall provide installation color codes for both T568A and T568B wiring schemes. The modular hardware shall fit all other installed telecommunications wallplates, outlets and field-configurable patch panels and patch blocks.
