Best OLED TV of the Year
This is the best TV of the year for sure. The panel is made out of superior quality and also comes with 5 year warranty from LG which gives a peace of mind. The colors are very vibrant, bright display and is best for both watching movies and gaming. Best TV purchase so far and would like to spend more time on this OLED TV.

A huge upgrade!
Amazing image quality. Really easy to set up and calibrate (there are guides online as to various optimal settings for SDR, HDR, and Dolby Vision content). I didn't think I'd like WebOS, but it's not as bad as I had originally feared, and I actually really enjoy the magic remote overall (especially for scrolling through streaming content). It's a huge upgrade and looks really beautiful when mounted, and can get extremely bright.

Great TV, but Inconsistent Screensaver
Great TV, but screensaver inconsistently works and I cannot figure out how to address it. Previous OLED would kick on the fireworks screensaver in seconds. Inconsistent screensaver activation can lead to burn in, so please fix LG.

Awesome picture with tons of features.
Amazing picture on the 77 G4, upgraded from a 65" C9 and its a big difference for me. 1080/720p content is as good or better, 4k hdr content is wildly better. Its only been one day but so far its been perfect.

An amazing upgrade
Amazing image quality and brightness! Runs quickly and was easy to set up. Have mixed feelings about WebOS so far, but it's less cumbersome than I expected. Really easy to calibrate and get amazing pictures from.

Image is amazing. Super bright image but darks aren't crushed. Really enjoyable. Plenty of inputs and settings per-input make setup really customizable. Film maker mode really simplifies the tuning of the picture. Previous TV needed a crib sheet to do the setup with so many individual customizations to get the TV dialed in.

It seems as if you are actually in the movie. The sound quality is also better than the previous generations as well!

All the hits, none of the misses of the industry
The saturated colors are amazing and the way the blacks in a film disappear into the letterbox is something to behold. I also appreciate that all 4 HDMI ports are 2.1 to allow for flexibility with the latest consoles and newer devices to come. The included wall mount is a bonus, even as a carry over from last years model. All that said, I have to commend the picture options and the availability of minute motion options that allow for me to tweak them to reduce jutter while avoiding the soap opera effect, to include maintaining color accuracy of film maker mode. The ability to make these changes independent of one another is second to none.

This is the TV you've been looking for!
I usually get older model TVs after they've been out for a few years at a discounted price but since I just moved into a new place, I decided to splurge on the latest and greatest. After exhaustive research, I came to the conclusion that the LG OLED G4 is the best TV out on the market at the time of this review so I took the plunge.
The picture quality is superb and I love the 120/144hz refresh rate.. I was able to hook up my gaming PC and essentially use this TV as a high performance gaming monitor (in addition to many other features I haven't even played with yet). If you're a gamer and plan to use this TV for gaming, that alone is worth the price of admission.
I haven't run into any issues yet, if anything there's almost an overwhelming amount of settings and features and I'm not a huge fan of the wall mount that came with the TV. The mount is great for achieving a very flush to the wall look but is very restrictive on movement otherwise.
Overall, I'm in love with this TV and highly recommend it if you can afford it!

Very Nice TV. Impressive picture and easy navigation through the menu's. The only problem is the directions on how to wall mount with the included bracket. Also some setting recommendations for different type of inputs.

Stopped working in 4 months - bad customer service
This TV is terrible, stopped working after 4 months and LG customer service is awful. TV has to be mounted, but for them to repair they need you to unmount it (which can't be done by yourself). They don't cover unmounting, so need to hire people to unmount the TV and then remount it. No guarantee it will work after that.

I'm in the process of buying this fantastic OLED TV the 77 inch G-4.
When will the new G-4 stand be released for the 77inch model.
I'm aware of the G-3 stand working but would like to know if I'm to expect improvements in the new G4 stand to be released as far as the TV standing straight up?

My Perfect TV
My 3rd LG OLED and somehow they still keep getting better. I'm so glad to have a 77" as it's the perfect size for my wall. The brightness is truly next level! It's the perfect HDR experience with perfect blacks and so bright you'd think with was mini-LED. It also seems like this TV was built from the ground up with gaming in mind like a 77" gaming monitor. I've got my PC connected and I can't imagine there's a TV with better features at 4k 144 hz, Dolby Vision PC, G-Sync Compatible, the lowest input latency you could imagine, and picture quality that could arguably be described as perfect.

AMAZING TV but TERRIBLE mount and mounting service
I love this TV. It is literally the best TV money can buy right now. I weighted my decision on the 77 vs 83 for a while but eventually decided the price hike for 6 inches wasn't worth it because it isn't all that noticeable unless they are side by side. Happy to say a month later, I'm thrilled with my choice as I used those funds to purchase a sound system instead and now the Dolby Vision + Atmost combination is definitely far more worth it than the additional 6 inches. You won't be disappointed in this purchase! HOWEVER, STAY AWAY FROM HANDY and LG INSTALLATION. Their mounting service was abysmal. I purchased this during a promotion where it was $100 off, which was worth it, but the free mounting and the included mount are useless. Handy did not show up the day of and they told me they could reschedule after I was excited about my TV and stayed home from work to be there. Not to mention, the reviews on Handy were terrible. These agents were both unprofessional and previous others' experience made me nervous so I got a local guy to do it and I was much happier for it, even though it was out of pocket expense. When spending this much for a TV, I can't justify cheaping out on the installation. Not to mention, the mount that comes with the TV is small so if your mount location is not center, it will not work and TV will not be centered. For this reason, I needed to buy another mount that allowed me to center the tv because the mount itself was slide-capable. TLDR - TV is great, don't rely on included mount or mounting service provided by LG installation.
